Memphis Pulls Through

Good on Memphis for winning the POV early this morning! It sounds as though Jerry did awful, Keesha said she should have done better, and Dan threw it. So it wound up in the perfect hands of Memphis who even said he got a lot wrong. It seems as though they were asked questions about other hamsters this season in case you're wondering.

Now Dan and Memphis have to make a decision on who the want to go to the final three with. They don't know about the schedule change as of yet and believe the POV ceremony will be held on Monday. We know however that the POV ceremony will be live on Tuesday's show as well as an eviction. Also, the first part of the final HOH competition will begin and it will presumably be endurance. I wonder how long it takes for them to figure out the schedule.

I wonder when Dan will have his "trip". Might it be today or tomorrow? And what exactly is it really? I know not to trust what Dan says on this one because he's not going to want them to think it's that great of a luxury. Are they going to have time to show it on Sunday's show?

Below are the Renny appearances with Julie Chen after being evicted and on House Calls. Make sure to check those out when you get a chance.

So what do you think Dan and Memphis are going to do? Will they choose to take Keesha or Jerry with them to the final three? And why do you think that? Let me know!

Happy Thursday!

Good Thursday morning everybody! It's a really big day in the Big Brother house but it's going to be an even bigger night. Now all we have to do is wait for it.

Everybody except for Jerry will be competing in the HOH competition this evening. I'm really hoping that Dan gets it. Memphis would be my second choice and Keesha last. I'm worried about Keesha working up the nerve to want to keep Jerry over Dan or Memphis if she wins it. But either way, it all depends on the POV competition. I just don't want Jerry to win that because it's really the most important competition of all at this point.

Have you heard yet about the Big Brother 11 rumors? Yep, another winter edition. Actually, I should say another possible winter edition. The reason for this is because Big Brother is listed as a midseason show on TVGuide.com's fall schedule lineup. It could be a mistake. It could be listed as only a possibility. Either way, I'm excited!

Did you catch the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night? Julie Chen and the hamsters made yet another appearance. It was cute but Renny's sexual innuendo to Craig Ferguson about her husband laying pipe was just awkward. But how nice was it to see Memphis in something other than one of his v-neck t-shirts? Check out the video below if you missed it all.

There's a 99.9% possibility that Renny will be leaving tonight. Do you wish it was somebody else going instead? And who do you want to win the HOH competition this evening?

Update at 10:45 AM - Earlier this morning, Big Brother changed the pics on the memory wall to show pictures from previous competitions this season. After everybody studied them (some spent more time doing that than others), the pictures changed back to those of the hamsters like before. It's obvious then that the HOH competition tonight will have something to do about the competitions shown in those pictures. Join me back here tonight where I'll be live-blogging the show as it happens at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT. Good luck Dan!

Update at 4:23 PM - Awwww. Keesha and Renny are going to miss each other. Sad video below.

Let's Lighten Things Up

Things have been a bit heavy around here lately so why don't we take a breather from the hamsters' activites and have a little fun?

In honor of the Big Brother poll that's still going on, I thought I would ask you all some questions of my own. Now don't think too hard on these because it's not a test. Even if it was, you'd all pass. So let's get on with it.

Like the current poll, you can only choose from the hamsters that are still in the house: Dan, Jerry, Keesha, Memphis, Michelle, Ollie, and Renny.

Q1. Which hamster would you like to see wear a purple Barney dino suit for the remainder of their stay in the house?

Q2. Who would you like to win big money in the lottery only to have to turn around and give it charity?

Q3. Who would you like to see go without a haircut for one year?

Q4. Which houseguest would you like to see win an around-the-world trip for two as a prize?

Q5. Same as question four except they wouldn't be allowed back into the U.S. when it came time to come back?

Q6. Who would you like to win a cushy pad (anywhere in the U.S.) where they can live out their days?

Q7. Who in the house would you choose to have their belongings (except undergarments) taken away from them? No swimsuit, no makeup, no hair products, and only one pair of pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and one pair of dress shoes.

Q8. Who would you like to see in solitary confinement for 48 hours in the house?

Q9. Which hamster would you like to win a party in the backyard complete with unlimited food, alcohol, and a musical performance from their favorite singer/band?

Q10. Which one hamster would you have join the person you picked in Q9? The catch though is that they have to wear a blindfold, earplugs, and can only drink water and only eat slop for the party.

Have fun everybody!

Pre-Show Excitement

It seems like tonight's HOH competition will most definitely be endurance. Yay! Now why do I think this? Well they've been on inside lockdown since early yesterday evening. They were told advised by Big Brother to go to bed early last night. Also, some sites are saying that a guy named James (part of the production staff) even told them it would be an endurance challenge.

It didn't stop Ollie from physical activity with April though. I believe that was #12 for them. And again, Jerry was in the room with them while they did the deed. However, they were loud enough that Dan, Memphis, and Keesha overheard them. They thought at first that Jerry was exercising (the heavy breathing and grunting) but eventually figured out the exercising was from April and Ollie.

Are you ready for an endurance competition on the feeds tonight? If not, try to clear your schedule and join us for all the fun here during the comp. I'll be live-blogging the show as usual (7:00 PM CT) and the chat room will be super busy during the show and during the competition.

I'm really hoping that Memphis or Dan wins the HOH tonight. I want them safe for another week! Who do you want to win HOH tonight and why?

Update at 10:40 AM - America will get to vote tonight on the CBS for who we want to receive a phone call from home. Who are you going to vote for and why?

Let's Pair Up!

Nothing much really happened overnight. The plan is still for April to go. Renny peed her pants laughing so hard with everybody. April plans on donning a bikini for the Craig Ferguson taping tomorrow and hopes Maxim invites her to pose in their magazine. So let's talk about something else.

If each of the hamsters could have a houseguest from previous seasons to help them in the game, who would you pick for them? By helping them I mean anything from being able to talk to them in the diary room about strategy or even coming into the house for a day to be their "partner". Or perhaps something more low key like a video or letter from the former houseguest about how they should behave. And since you know me pretty well, the help could be beneficial for them or the help could be a form of sabotage.

So which former hamsters would you have pair up with the hamsters now and how? And should they be used for good or evil?

Mr. Dan Is The Man

Dan has finally stepped up his game and won something. He won the POV!

I'm not exactly sure what the POV competition was about but it involved a big snake, voodoo dolls of the hamsters, and having to measure something. Jerry would have won but he folded.

Regardless, April thinks she'll be safe because she hasn't caused as much drama in the house as Jerry has. Her and Ollie want to talk to Dan and offer him safety if he uses the POV on her. But I think they're delusional. Dan told Jerry that he wants to speak to him one on one later today. That should be quite the talk. I wonder if Jerry will bring up Judas again.

Personally, I don't think Dan will use it on either of them. What do you think? And if Dan does use the POV, who do you think he might use it on and who would Renny put up in their place?

Update at 1:42 PM - After being on FOTH for about an hour-and-a-half, the feeds come back! And it was for what I thought it would be. The hamsters got a smaller kitchen table.

The Best Big Brother Catfight Ever!

I don't even know where to begin about last night. But let's just start with the steak and lobster feast they had thanks to the competition on Friday.

After spending about an hour in an awkward HOH lockdown, the hamsters were finally able to DINE IN HELL. The table looked so pretty. There were fresh flowers as a centerpiece and everybody had their meal served on a sterling silver covered tray. The wine was flowing quite liberally as they were stuffing their mouths with food as fast as they could. Then they got more wine. And then in their inebriated state, they decided to go around the table and say nice things about everybody else.

They were actually able to make it all the way around the table and it was fairly pleasant and fun to watch. But then Jerry wanted to rebut something somebody said. And then April told Ollie to take his hat off at the table. And then Libra confronted Ollie in the storage room about him calling her a scallywag and a ho. Meanwhile, Michelle and Dan had gone to the bathroom and were talking to each other about normal outside of the house stuff.

While listening to Michelle and Dan, you could hear April and Keesha getting rather heated in their bashing of Libra in the sauna room. Libra then left Ollie in the storage room to go do something or other but wound up outside of the sauna room with her ear to the door. After listening for a few seconds and hearing them talk about her, she knocks on the door and opens it. She says a few words to them about not wanting to interrupt their conversation and then scurries back to the storage room to begin telling Ollie about what she just witnessed.

Libra lets it fly on Keesha to Ollie. She can't believe that Keesha has the nerve to talk to April when all Keesha's been doing is bashing on April all week. Keep in mind that Ollie is stone cold sober. Libra, April, and especially Keesha are three sheets to the wind.

April and Keesha begin to scream and yell at each other at the top of their lungs. Then they share a beer and kinda hug and make up. Then an upset Keesha asks Michelle if they can talk up in the HOH room. Shortly after that, Libra comes up and joins them but leaves after a couple of minutes when she realizes she's not welcome. Then Memphis comes up to the HOH room where some Libra bashing is going on. Then Michelle asks April to come up and join them so that she can tell Keesha what Libra had said about her. You still with me?

So we have a Libra bashfest going on up there with Michelle, Keesha, April, and Memphis. To be fair to Memphis, he's mostly just watching all of this go on in front of him. Then it was time for Michelle to go get Libra and have her come up to the HOH with all of them. That's when the proverbial shit hit the proverbial fan.

Keesha said something about how she's always had Libra's back and that's when Libra lost it. Libra began yelling at Keesha. Keesha was yelling at Libra. Then Michelle said something that caused Libra to start yelling at her. Then April jumped in and before you know it, all four of them were yelling at each other. They were bringing up every stupid thing that had happened so far in the house and airing it all out. Wooo-eeeee!

Then Keesha stormed out of the HOH room crying and pissed and super drunk. Yes, they're all still drinking during all of this. Michelle leaves April and Libra alone up in the HOH room to go talk to Keesha who's running around the house crying and cussing. After trying to comfort Keesha in the hippy room, Michelle goes outside and begins crying and lays down on the couch in the backyard and completely covers herself with pillows to hide. Then she jumped up suddenly and began cussing and throwing the pillows from the couch.

Michelle goes back upstairs while screaming at the top of her lungs, "Fuck you! Fuck you all of you! I'm going to get blamed for all of your fucking decisions!" April and Libra (who are still in the HOH room) hear Michelle going off outside the door. Meanwhile, Keesha has gotten back up out of bed and is crying and ranting in the backyard about everyone and everything. Back upstairs, Michelle is throwing the pillows from that couch all around and then picks them up and takes them over to the corner to lay down and hide/pout again.

When April and Libra finally come out of the HOH room, Michelle jumps up from her little nest she made and goes off on them. April skidaddled away leaving Michelle's full force rant solely on Libra then. The whole situation in the house has really spiraled out of control by this point but it's way too late to stop it. Eventually, Michelle does manage to go off on April who then goes off on Keesha again. Then Michelle and Libra get into it again. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

These women are batshit crazy I tell ya. I'm talkin' Nakomis crazy.

It was a historic catfight in Big Brother history. Happening over three hours, I can't wait to see how many segments they dedicate to this one on the show. The fights they spent two segments covering on Tuesday ain't got nothing on last night's drama.

The men came out of things relatively unscathed last night. Memphis even brought up to Jerry in the backyard at one point about how they should secretly team up because nobody would ever expect that from them. And Jerry seemed open to the idea. Ollie needs to figure out what he's going to do with his woman though. And Dan? He tried the best he could to be his lovable self last night and stay out of the drama.

Even after all of this, Keesha still got reassurances from people (including April and Michelle) that she's safe this week and Libra will be going. What Keesha doesn't know is that Michelle and April have agreed to go after her next week. So don't be surprised when Keesha is nominated next week by just about whoever winds up being the next HOH.

So how late did you stay up watching all of the craziness? I turned in the towel at about 2:00 AM Central time and thankfully didn't really miss much more because Big Brother put them on lockdown outside and more than likely told them to simmer the fuck down or they won't get anymore alkyhol.

Thoughts? LOL!

Players

The players for today's POV competition have been picked. Michelle, Libra, and Keesha will be playing in addition to Jerry (drawn by Libra), Memphis (drawn by Keesha), and April (drawn by Michelle). Ollie will be hosting and, from what April has said, is pretty excited about it. One interesting note for all of you conspiracy theorists out there: Michelle did check the bag to make sure everybody's chips were in there.

So who do you want to win POV today? What do you want them to do with it? Or would you rather they leave the nominations the same? And while we're waiting for things to get underway, check out yesterday's House Calls with Gretchen, Evel Dick, and newly evicted hamster Jessie. It's quite interesting!

Wake Up Silly Hamsters!

Last night (actually early this morning), the wake up calls began. The hamsters were amused at first but quickly grew tired of them. So tired of them that they went to bed and began sleeping through them. I think Big Brother just wasn't playing them loud enough. If you want to check them out, go here.

We still have no idea how Dan is going to be voting tonight. One moment it sounds like he's pushing for Memphis to go and then you turn around and it seems like he's pushing for Jessie's exit. I guess it's a good way to cover his ass but I want to know for sure! LOL

Some of you out there will be affected by pre-season NFL football tonight and won't be able to view the live show in its regular time slot. Make sure you check your schedules! If you are one of those unfortunate few, come back tonight and join the chat room where you can talk with everybody in there while you follow me live-blogging the show tonight.

Who do you think will be leaving the Big Brother house tonight? Who do you want to win the HOH? And in case you missed it, check out the hamsters' appearance below on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson last night. Michelle was milking her unitard for all it was worth wasn't she? Wait a minute, that doesn't sound right but whatever. You know what I mean!

Update at 10:50 AM - We just got a sneak peek at tonight's upcoming HOH competition! Don't get too excited.

Pick Three

We know that the final HOH competition of the season is usually a three-parter to narrow it down to the final two.

Of the hamsters remaining so far, who would you like to see in the final three? Then how would you like things to go after that? Who would you like of those three to win the endurance competition (first part) and then who would you like to win the second part part of the competition?

And then, who do you want the winner of the final HOH competition to be and who do you want them to vote to evict to narrow it down to the final two?

Old Man River

Jerry won the POV early this morning and has the chance to shake things up a little bit. Will he do it though? No. He told April that he will keep things the way that she wants them to be. This mentality in the house that whatever the HOH wants is fine is making me lose my mind!

Do any of these people actually think for themselves? Even after all of that fighting last night amongst most everybody, Keesha told Libra that she will still do what April wants because she's the HOH. Blah phooey!

Many good things came out of all of some of the best drama EVER on the feeds last night. It was made perfectly clear that the group of seven are hanging on to their alliance by the skin of their teeth. One of the four Plastics, April, is now on 'outsider' status and the other three are tighter than ever. We're seeing exactly how hard Michelle is fighting to stay in the game and she's taking it all very seriously. The secret sub-alliance of April/Ollie and Jessie/Michelle have strengthened as well. Except for April (I can't stand her!), that's a foursome that could do some major damage in the house.

Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, here is who won what in the POV competition this morning. Jerry won POV and is on slop for the week. Memphis has a slop pass and was the one responsible for putting Jerry on slop. April won $10,000 but gave $4,000 to Jerry and $1,000 to Libra. Libra won a trip to Hawaii. Michelle had won the trip to Hawaii but Libra took it away from her and made Michelle the seasonal winner of the red Big Brother leotard. Libra could have had a letter from her kids back at home but passed on it somehow so somebody else has their own letter now. Who it is I'm not exactly sure. And as far as the cash goes that April, Jerry, and Libra now have? They seem to still have the ability to use it to barter with their fellow hamsters in the house. That could be interesting to see!

So things have the ability to be pretty damned interesting on the feeds today after everybody wakes up and gets moving around. I'm sure last night's drama will continue to be rehashed all weekend long.

Oh, and this clip of Keesha and Jessie going at it last night is absolutely awesome!

Now surely you have some thoughts on all of this and I want to hear them! Let it rip in the comments below!

Angie's Second Chance?

Some of Keesha's crew are thinking about desertion. Some of Jessie's crew are thinking about desertion as well.

Ollie and Libra are ready to jump ship and toss the dolphin girl back into the ocean. They're sick and tired of Jessie and don't consider Angie as big a threat as Keesha does. All they need is a helping hand from a few housemates.

They certainly have a friend in Jerry at this time. Jerry's had it up to "there" with the lunky lad and is ready for Jessie's time to be over. Memphis is realizing he's about to have to make a choice between the pinhead and furniture.

Dan has given his word (thanks to a little strong-arming) to Jessie that he won't vote him out. Michelle would never vote to evict her future husband.

There are only 8 votes to be cast on Thursday (which they still don't know about). If the vote comes down to a 4-4 tie then Keesha will have to decide it and that would mean Angie goes home. The vote has to be at least 5-3 for Keesha, Jessie, and even Angie to be blindsided.

So far, we have a definite vote of 3-2 for Jessie to go. I'm considering Memphis a draw right now so that only leaves Renny and April. They're going to be the hardest to figure out. April is one of Keesha's bestest friends in the house but also boinking partners with Ollie. I think April will fall on the side of the phallus on this one. That makes it 4-2.

Renny? She's now generally liked by all in the hamster cage but has to realize it won't take much to fall out of favor with the majority again. Renny thinks of Keesha as a daughter and friend in the house but how bad does she want to play the game? I see Renny going either way on this one. She could either teach her "daughter" a lesson or two about the game or not want to rock the boat. Your call. But I think she might be ready to step up and play.

I tell ya, it's going to be a long two days until the eviction on Thursday evening. How many times might people flip before then? How many times might Jessie flip out before then? It would be in Jessie's best interest to lay as low as possible but I really don't see that happening.

What do you think's going to happen and how do you think the votes might go on Thursday? Let me know in the comments!

Keesha The Sheepa?

I was afraid of this.

As much as Keesha has flip-flopped on her AOL (April/Ollie/Libra) alliance, I was really hoping she might shake things up as Head of Household. It doesn't seem like a power move is in the cards -- at least not when it comes to nominations.

Angie is a definite to go up on the block. Memphis or Dan will be the other. Right now, it really doesn't matter who goes up against Angie because she is Keesha's primary target this week. I guess that's a safe move for Keesha this week even though I don't like it. This set of nominations would show AOL that she's definitely on their side. But surely Keesha realizes that she'll be the first one of the four in AOL sent to slaughter when the time comes.

But if she was going to pick two of JAMM (Jessie/Angie/Memphis/Michelle) why couldn't she have picked Jessie and Michelle? That would have made me a happier hamster watcher. Jessie and Michelle are huge threats to her in the game. Memphis is too but not Angie or Dan. Angie's actually boring and hasn't shown anything special when it comes to competitions. Dan's a convenient throwaway for later thanks to the Brian, and now Steven, "cloud."

At this point, all I can hope for is that Libra isn't a good bed partner up in the HOH room. Come on Libra! Kick Keesha in your sleep and hog the blankets! If Keesha won't put Libra up on the block then perhaps she can manage a way to get the HOH bed to herself. But then again, maybe Keesha does deserve to have Libra up her ass all week.

For all of you who are interested, both Jerry and Jessie's HOH blogs and pictures are finally up on CBS' site. You can check them out here. I wonder what took them so long?

So what do you think about Keesha's possible nominations? Smart or stupid? And who would you rather she nominate?

Afternoon update - Jerry, Renny, and Dan have been brought into the AOLK alliance. Keesha's current plan is to now nominate Angie and Jessie with the primary target still being Angie. If either Angie or Jessie win POV then either Michelle or Memphis will go up on the block.

Alliances In Action

Below is the way the major alliances stand in the house as of now.

Group #1 - Jessie, Michelle, Memphis, Angie
Group #2 - Libra, April, Ollie, Keesha

Dan believes he's a member of #1. Jerry and Renny aren't really a member of anything but definitely aren't in an alliance with each other.

Do you like these alliances or do you wish they were different? Who would you like to see teaming up with who? Do you think somebody's on the wrong team? Why?

In other news, April & Ollie had sex again last night. I know, stop the presses right?

And just in case you missed it, Julie Chen and the hamsters were on The Late Late Show last night. Check out the clip below. It was absolutely hilarious!!!

Tonight, I'll be liveblogging the show (like I always do with the live shows) and I have just one more question for you right now. Who would you most like to see win HOH tonight?

Lollygagging Around

The hamsters this season are very unique. They're actually having fun in the house and not schemin' and dealin' every single hour of the day. All except Libra of course. She hasn't stopped complaining about being on slop and the smallest things get on her nerves.

The plan is still for Steven to be evicted tomorrow night. Nothing's changed about that and it's unlikely that it will, So there's been tons of tanning, sex talk, napping, hair trimming, slip n slide action (day and night), and even warrior fighting!

It's actually nice to watch them have so much fun because it's entirely different from what we've become accustomed to. You know what it reminds me of? The old days....

Operation Backdoor Libra

Last night saw the beginnings of a plan that many Big Brother fans have been wanting to see. Talk began of Libra being put up and voted out.

I tend to think the talk started because of the way Libra behaved during and after the POV competition yesterday. At some point during the competition, Keesha and Libra both had a chance at a slop pass. But whoever took the slop pass would not have had the chance at the veto. Keesha told Libra to take the slop pass. Libra took that to mean that Keesha really wanted to win the POV so that she could remove Steven from the block. Keesha says that all she meant by it was that she knew Libra has a hard time being on slop so she thought Libra would want it.

When the feeds came on after the POV competition yesterday, Keesha was upset and crying in the sauna room. Jessie went to comfort her and Keesha told him that she truly wanted Libra to have the slop pass just so she could eat regular food. Keesha was hurt that Libra didn't believe that and Keesha maintained that she wouldn't have removed anybody from the block because she was on "their side." We all know that Keesha has had some ups and downs with April (Libra's best buddy) and we also know that Libra has questioned Keesha's loyalty for awhile.

Anyway, this got ol' Jerry all fired up. Jerry became vocal to several of his fellow housemates about Libra and her thinking that she runs the house, how she acts like a bitch, etc. I don't recall who exactly brought the plan to backdoor Libra to Jessie's attention but he did discuss it with Keesha early in the evening with Memphis present. Or rather, it was more a tossing around of ideas concerning what if Michelle used the POV. Their alibi to use to Libra when Keesha wanted to know what they were talking about? They were going to say that if the POV was used Jessie would put up Renny and they could get rid of her.

Well sure enough, when Keesha left Libra wanted to know what they were talking about. Keesha told Libra and April of this plan to put up Renny. Libra wasn't too thrilled to hear about this because she really wants Steven gone this week and doesn't view Renny as a threat at all. Libra also didn't seem to really believe that's all that they talked about so she stuck herself up Keesha's ass for pretty much the rest of the night.

So pretty much everybody last night was at one point talking about Libra going up on the block except for Ollie, April, and of course Libra. Michelle (the most important person at this moment because she's the POV winner) found out about people wanting her to use her veto power and spent her time bouncing around with everybody. She also managed to spill enough bits and pieces to Libra but not enough for Libra to realize it was her people wanted out. Libra still got the bad vibe from Michelle and enough for her to tell April, Keesha, and Renny not to believe a word that Michelle says.

Libra's status in the house as of early this morning is a sure one. It was ultimately decided by Memphis, Jessie, and Michelle (a very tight alliance of three) that they would hold off on getting Libra out and instead stay the course and continue with getting rid of Steven. Angie is still a part of the alliance between Memphis, Jessie, and Michelle but is on the outside of it. All three of them are trying to hold on to Angie for numbers' sake but she'll be cannibalized first by their group when it comes down to it.

The best thing that happened last night was seeing how many people are beginning to truly not like Libra. Most realize they need to do something about her fairly soon if they're able to. Steven has seemed to find the fight in him to stay in the house without managing to campaign against Dan.

Don't expect the discussions with Michelle about using her POV to slow down any this weekend. And I expect Libra to get wind of how people are wanting to put her up on the block instead of Renny. When that happens, there will be explosions galore. How Libra handles the news might play a huge part in what Michelle decides to do.

I'm crossing my fingers.

The Friendship 2.0

As you might guess, it didn't take long after the live show last night for Jessie to decide on who he'd be nominating today. It was decided, with help from Ollie and Jerry, that Angie and Dan would be nominated but that Steven would be the ultimate goal. Hmm, backdooring Steven? I guess it's never too early in a season for that to begin. However, Jessie changed his mind later on and decided that he'd just go ahead and put up Dan and Steven.

What basically happened was after Jessie finally received his HOH room, complete with bodybuilding pictures, it was time for The Friendship 2.0 to meet and cast evil spells on those who are not as deserving as themselves. The new Maggie and Ivette are none other than Libra and April. Along with Maggie and Ivette -- er I mean Libra and April -- were Jessie, Michelle, and Ollie. After being joined by Memphis, it was decided that Dan and Steven would be put up and if one of those two won POV and took themself down, then Angie would be going up.

After that was decided, it was time to pat each other on the back for their job well done. After all, their month was planned out and they can now skate along. Steven will go next, then Dan, then Renny, and then Angie. Now it was time to bash Keesha for having the nerve to hang out with Angie and Dan. How could she? Didn't Keesha realize how horrible they were? Well she must not want to be a part of their little cult too badly.

In fact, Keesha was at that moment having a good time in the backyard with Steven, Dan, Angie, and Renny (when she wasn't checking on her cake). They weren't out there talking smack. They were actually saying nice things about each other and talking about assorted life experiences. Dan even told Steven that he thinks of him as a friend now and now just a gay man that he knows. Please remember that Dan's the Catholic school teacher.

When Jerry unknowingly busted up the meeting between The Friendship 2.0, they dispersed throughout the house. Libra and April were so cute in the backyard pretending to really care about the friendly conversation going on.

Jessie eventually talked to Angie alone up in the HOH and in a roundabout way told her that she shouldn't be associating with those people and that they don't really believe that she's on their side. But he'll keep her around for another three weeks. How kind of him!

The food competition will be taking place in the house shortly and nominations will happen later on. Until all of that, answer me this. Why does The Friendship 2.0 feel it's so necessary to alienate people? Especially this early in the game? Why demand others not speak to or associate with different people in the house? What makes them so special? Because I find it amazing that they're so threatened by people in their alliance just having conversations with the others.

BB10 For The Win!

After two, yes two, mini family emergencies this weekend I'm finally back home and ready for this season of Big Brother. Everybody is OK but seriously. I refuse to step foot back into the emergency room again this weekend!

So Big Brother is finally starting tonight! The show airs on CBS at 8:00 PM ET. And then many of us will have to wait a few hours for the live feeds to come on. (For those of you who are new to Big Brother, the live feeds don't begin until the show has finished airing on the west coast.) At 12:00 midnight ET the live feeds will start. That's also when Big Brother After Dark begins on Showtime2.

And so then it will be that we're all off and running trying to figure out who's who (they almost always never look as pretty as their pictures) as well as trying to wrap our heads around which voices belong to who. Well, Keesha's will probably really easy to figure out! LOL!

I have a cheat sheet printed out already next to my computer so that I can learn who these hamsters are as quickly as possible. It has their picture on it, along with their name, age, where they're from, etc. Do you have something like that set up too?

So are you ready for BB10? Are you signed up for the feeds and/or Showtime? Is your computer all cleaned out and ready for the season? Do you have your snacks all set up and ready to go? Tell me all about it in the comments. I want to read how excited you are!

ETA - And don't forget to join my Fafarazzi group! After you get your team all set up for tonight's show (remember you have to update it before each show), join the other Silly Hamsters BB10 Fans by clicking here or by clicking on the graphic over there on the sidebar!

Join me in chat while the show is on tonight! The chat link is over there on the sidebar towards the top!

More Media For You!

Want to watch tons more video of this season's houseguests? Diane Henry, of Big Brother 5, got the chance to sit down and interview the thirteen new hamsters before they went into the house. Because they're new houseguests it's easy to overlook Diane's lack of interviewing skill.

To check out the interviews, go here. Prepare to carve out several blocks of time though because the interviews are pretty long. But that's a good thing for us right?

Once you're done watching that, check out video here of the now seasonal occasion of journalists moving into the house for a day. Gretchen Massey, our very own co-host of House Calls, was one of the lucky ones that entered this pre-season. All eight of the journalists got the chance to play for HOH, go through a round of nominations, be put on slop, participate in a POV competition, and an eviction. It's actually pretty interesting to watch!

Well enjoy the videos everybody! After watching them, was there anybody you liked more or liked less? If you didn't have a favorite before, do you have one now?

Update on July 10 - There are more hamster bio videos up on CBS' YouTube channel. Click here to check out what they have up so far!

Meet The BB10 Cast!

Yay! The Big Brother 10 page is up over at CBS!!!

There are some hamsters that seem to have what it takes and then there are some I'm not too sure about. Just watching that video I like Angie and Brian as well as a couple more. Memphis seems too cocky, Keesha's voice gets on my nerves and I'm not really sure what to think when it comes to Jerry.

All of the hamsters' bios are up right here. Go check them out and tell me what you think! I'm actually very happy about the casting this season and think there's a perfect amount of everything. I am really looking forward to this season! Much more so than the last few seasons.

Oh, and do you wanna check out this season's house? Play the video below!

Sooooo, what do you think the hamsters and the house so far? What stands out to you the most? By the way, I absolutely love the kitchen and the communal bathroom! Actually, I think I pretty much love it all!

7 Days To Go

Ladies and gentlemen, young and old, welcome to the tenth season of Big Brother USA!

On Sunday, July 13, Big Brother will begin it's tenth season of hamsterly madness at 8:00 PM ET on CBS. Julie Chen, our hostess with the mostest, will be back yet again to guide us through the season. Except this time, she won't be alone. On eviction nights, she will be joined by some of the most rabid fans in the entire galaxy -- Big Brother fans!

With just this final week to go before our internet bandwidth begins its seasonal ascent, tons of news will be breaking each and every single day. Who are these new hamsters? Where did they come from? What do they look like? What is their mission in life? And most importantly, who is their best friend's brother's girlfriend's mother's nephew and what might they say about them?

According to Allison Grodner, the game begins before they even enter the house. Is Allison telling us the truth or is she lying to us? Might somebody be given the boot before they even enter the house? There's a live eviction scheduled for July 16th so we're going to have to wait to find out what all of that means. But if there are two evictions in the first week, we'll already be down to eleven hamsters. Eleven sounds like such a lonely number so early on in the season.

The best thing about what I've heard so far about BB10 is that the hamsters will all be strangers. Might it actually happen? Not since BB3 have all of the houseguests been strangers to each other. The next best thing I've heard about BB10 has been that the hamsters will vary in ages. No more will they be a concentrated block of twenty-somethings with a thirty-something and forty-something thrown in. It seems as if there will really be a variety when it comes to their ages. I really appreciate that because I'm quite tired of listening to the young'uns drone on and on about nothing except their tans and favorite positions.

Rumored houseguest lists have been posted (here and here) and reading those lists is one of the fan rituals each season. How much do I believe those lists? Let's just say that I believe the second list more than the first. Does that mean the second list is true? Absolutely not.

I guess we're going to find how much is true and how much isn't true when the Big Brother 10 cast is revealed on The Early Show on Tuesday morning, July 8. What happens when the hamsters are revealed? You got it! CBS' Big Brother page gets updated so we can read all about their likes and dislikes ad infinitum.

On Friday, July 11, we'll get our first tour of the house on The Early Show. How much might they change the house? Personally, I don't think the layout will change much (if any). The thing I'm most interested in is what will be in the backyard and are they going to get rid of the old cushion covers on the back lounge that have just been added on to since BB6?

After enjoying a very relaxing Fourth of July, I spent the rest of the weekend cleaning. I cleaned everything I could lay my hands on because I know cleaning won't be at the top of my list for another three months or so. I gave my friends and family the Big Brother talk and they just rolled their eyes at me. They're used to 'the talk'. They liken it to me going away to a deserted island with just my computer and online friends for awhile. In other words, they don't call or text me unless it's an emergency. I have them trained quite nicely I believe.

So are you ready for Big Brother 10? Have you given 'the talk' to those around you yet? Because if you haven't, time is running out! Are you going old school in your snacking this season and opting for peanut butter & jelly sandwiches (I am!) or are you stocking up on oatmeal?

What does your pre-season Big Brother routine include? And are you as excited about BB10 as I am?

What I Want To See In Big Brother 10

I don't know about you but I'm tired of seeing a bunch of young and picture perfect twenty-somethings. The one or two token "older" people they throw in there doesn't float my boat either.

I want to see real people. I want to see hamsters of all ages and of different races with different backgrounds. Enough of these people being on the show hoping to become a model or an actress out of their stint in the house.

With that said, I like watching pretty people just as much as the next person but how often have the pretty people cast in Big Brother turned out to be ugly as individuals? Most of the time they've been boring to watch as well. How about some average men and women? Enough of the big fake boobs and men with muscles so big their head looks like an egg atop their shoulders.

Watching normal people in the Big Brother house isn't so bad. I seem to remember it a long long time ago. The interesting thing about those normal people was that as time passed, they grew more attractive because they actually had interesting personalities and could carry on an intelligent conversation.

If the rumors of this season's theme is correct, I have some hope. A house filled with hamsters who have diametrically opposed views on everything from religion to politics could be interesting. Dare I say, they may even be halfway intelligent? Zealots on both sides of every fence are interesting to watch and could create quite the interesting dynamics in the house.

Will they be able to discuss their views and beliefs in a mature and thought-provoking manner or will they be bullyish and try to force their beliefs on others? How many alpha males and females might we get out of this experiment and will it help to curb the splitting up of the house so early on in the season? Could the alphas join forces, despite a possible difference in beliefs, and get rid of their underlings? Or might the underlings band together and watch the alphas fight it out between themselves? It could be quite fun to watch all of this don't you think?

Tell me in the comments what you want to see in the house this season. What do you think of this "house divided" theme? Do you believe the rumors that there will actually be hamsters of all ages this season? I want to know!!!

And don't forget to fire up your feeds tomorrow (Tuesday, July 2) at 6:00 PM Big Brother time. (That's Pacific time for any that might be new to the show.) Sheila from Big Brother 9 will be on Feed 4 to dish about her experience in the house and fill us in on what's been going on since she was evicted last season. I'll be checking it out that's for sure!

ETA - Check out this interview (the entire eight-minute interview is available in audio if you're interested in listening to everything she says) from our beloved executive producer of Big Brother regarding the upcoming tenth season. All strangers? Check. All ages? Check check. The game starting before the hamsters even enter the house? Huh? What do you think after reading or listening to this?

Big Brother 10 New Commercial!

Now I'm all excited!

I just saw a new commercial for Big Brother 10 and it got me all tingly with anticipation. Is it really less than a month until BB10 starts up? Don't answer because I know it is but it's so weird having another season this soon again. It's just taking a little getting used to. And I LOVE that!

I'll link up the commercial as soon as I can but I just couldn't help sharing my excitement with all of you.

BB8 and BB9 weren't all that they could have been and there are rumors that this upcoming season of BB10 will be an old vs. young kinda season. How well will that work? I have no idea. I just know that I'm tired of seeing Barbie & Ken dolls prance around all day on the feeds. But then, I know most of you are the same way.

I adore Big Brother and that will never change but you all know me well enough to know that I'd like to see some "real" people. I don't care if they're old, young, fat, skinny, purple, orange, whatever. Give me some people that I want to watch and could provide me with entertainment.

Your thoughts?

Update on 6/18 - Good news everybody! For BB10, there will be live weekly elimination shows (as always) but there will also be a LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE for each of those shows!!! You can check out the info for yourself right here. Did you click it yet? If so, perhaps you then went and clicked on the link to check out the show dates they'll be needing that live studio audience. Notice anything peculiar? The first eviction will be on July 16th! Just three days after the season premieres on July 13th and, if the schedule sticks like in previous seasons, approximately 6-7 days after the hamsters first entered the house. I'm super excited about the live studio audience for the evictions and really hope that this season of Big Brother will go back to its roots some and perhaps even adopt some of the ways of BBAUS and BBUK. Woohoo!

Oh, and here are the links to the BB10 commercials that have aired so far:
Promo #1 (from end of April 2008)
Promo #2 (aired June 12, 2008)
Promo #3 (aired June 16, 2008)
Promo #4 (aired June 17, 2008)
Promo #5 (also aired June 17, 2008 - slightly different from #2)

Big Brother International!

When our special winter edition of Big Brother wrapped up in April, I was so ready for something new to watch. Watching Adam and Ryan talk and carry on at the end was extremely mind-numbing (to say the least) and I was ready for some new hamsters. Luckily, Big Brother Australia was starting their eighth season just five days after ours ended. Yay!

It had been a couple of years since I'd really watched any other Big Brother besides our own but I was super excited. I loved BBAUS as soon as it started. I loved (and still love) the houseguests, er housemates, and the drama they brought with them into the house. I've really enjoyed their twists and intruders (I never expected to like Corey!) but the thing I've loved the most about BBAUS is that the housemates aren't babied.

Australia's Big Brother actually doles out punishment when it's warranted. I wonder how many times Nobbi has washed the windows! The housemates get strikes when they do something that Big Brother has told them not to do and isn't afraid to get a little mean with them in the diary room. It's been so fun to watch and is such a stark contrast to our version. Year after year I wish that our Big Brother would get a little tough with our hamsters and year after year I'm disappointed.

Another thing I love about Australia's Big Brother is the way that it's broadcast. They have six daily shows during the week that will get you caught up on what's been going on in the house and they're fantastic. The daily shows primarily focus on any drama that might be going on between some of the housemates and are great to watch as "catch up" if you've been away from the feeds for a day or two. Oh, and you get to hear a ton of BBAUS's sexy male voice. Ooh la la!

Besides their daily shows, they also have a weekly Big Mouth show where a panel of hosts dish and dig on the housemates and what they've been doing. The cherry on top of it all is Friday Night Games. Every Friday evening, the housemates compete to become head of household. The games are light and fun and definitely not high budget. I love that because our BBUSA competitions are so overly produced and over-the-top. Not that that's always a bad thing but, again, I wish Allison Grodner would take a page or two from BBAUS's playbook.

BBAUS is halfway through their season right now but guess what? Big Brother United Kingdom's ninth season started last week! It's taking me some time to get into BBUK but I'm beginning to pick it up.

BBUK's voice isn't nearly as sexy as BBAUS and it's been hard for me to understand many of their housemates because of their thick accents. But BBUK is definitely not short on drama. Just a week into their season, a fake coupling twist/task has failed and the four involved in the twist are up for eviction. And if you're looking for variety in hamsters, BBUK won't disappoint you. They even have a blind guy in the house!

And then they have their housemates you love to hate. One of the biggest bitches I've seen on any Big Brother has to be Alexandra. I can't wait until she implodes because the ground would probably shake so much we'd feel it here in America. I also can't really stand their real-life couple they have in the house: Mario and Lisa. He's a big lunk and she's just a weirdo. Speaking of weirdos, there's one girl in there that gives weirdos a bad name. "Cookie Monster" Kathreya is a freak if I've ever seen one. I'm not saying she's a bad person (I truly don't think she has a mean bone in her body) but this girl. I don't even know where to start with her.

Like BBAUS, BBUK has their daily shows and a Big Mouth show. They also have a show called Big Brother Little Brother. Their Big Mouth is just tolerable and their BBLB show is atrocious. I probably feel that way though because I can't stand the hosts on that show -- especially the female host.

So if you're looking for some Big Brother action until our season starts up on Sunday, July 13th there's definitely not a short supply of it. Check out their official sites I linked to above and hit up YouTube and forums like Behind Big Brother and Jokers Updates for updates and videos.

And keep an eye on things here at Silly Hamsters because with just a month to go until our regular summer season starts, things are going to be getting hot and heavy here very quickly!

Until Tonight

Sheila tried to campaign to the boys last night but it didn't seem to have worked too well. Ryan told her that he's taking Adam to the final two. Adam cried to her and told her that Ryan has had his back since the beginning of the game and she didn't.

Adam's spine is still laying around somewhere and his brain seems to have been probed by aliens. He told Ryan that he's going to throw the third part of the HOH competition tonight so that Ryan wins it and gets rid of Sheila. I guess Adam doesn't want to do the dirty work eh? And to throw the first part of the HOH competition I can kind of understand but the final part? That's just crazy!

Ryan has to know that he has a better chance at winning the game with Sheila next to him over Adam. I think if Adam stays then Adam will win. The votes from the jury would be closer between Ryan and Sheila and he would have a chance at swinging some people.

If Adam does throw the competition tonight and lets Ryan win, who do you think Ryan should take to the end? Do you think Ryan would stick with the bros before hos thing or do you think he'd turn on Adam at this late point in the game? If Adam is blowing smoke up Ryan's almost always thinly exposed rear, who do you think he should take to the end? Do you think Adam has the balls to vote out Ryan and take his former partner in the house, Sheila, to the end?

And Then There Were Three

Well I woke up to some pleasant news this morning. Adam did indeed follow through with the plan they were talking about right before the feeds went to trivia and voted Sharon out of the house. Yay! No more of her screeching voice!

The other big news of the night is that Ryan won the first part of the HOH competition. Adam kept his word to Ryan and dropped out after Sheila was out of the comp. Sheila's going to have her work cut out for her beating Adam in this next part. The second part of the HOH competition will be sometime today and, if it's like previous seasons, will be a mental one. I really expect Adam to win this part. If that happens, it will leave Ryan and Adam fighting it out to become the final HOH on the live show tomorrow evening.

I'm glad that they did turn the feeds back on last night though. I really thought they would be off until after the live show tomorrow night so that we wouldn't find out who won what or know who had been evicted. With that said, what the freak was the reason for cutting the feeds last night so that we couldn't see the endurance competition? I can understand them not showing us the beginning because, just like in a live show, Julie would check in with them once at the beginning before the "show ended" but why couldn't they have brought the feeds back about fifteen minutes into the competition?

They had to have known we would find out who was evicted and won the first part. So why not just show us the damned competition? Really stupid if you ask me. It's not like it would have kept anybody from watching the show. But now, instead of us having the ability to watch the approximately three-hour long endurance portion, we'll only be able to watch a watered down ten-minute version. That stinks!

So what are your thoughts on Sharon's eviction? How do you feel about Adam letting Ryan win the first part of the competition? Do you think Sheila has any chance at winning against Adam in the second part of the HOH competition today? Tell me!

Let's Think About This

So what do you think? Let's chew the fat and go through these scenarios.

Will Ryan use the POV? If you think he won't use it, who do you think Adam will be voting to evict? If you think he does use it, who would he use it on and who would that person vote to evict?

Now let's think about what the next HOH will do. If Ryan becomes the next HOH, who will he be evicting and take with him to the final two? What about Adam, Sheila, and Sharon? What would they do (if they aren't evicted today) and who would they want sitting next to them at the end?

ETA at 4:04 PM - The feeds went to trivia at 3:16 PM and have been there since. When the feeds come back on, I will let y'all know.

ETA at 4:37 PM - The feeds are back on. And everybody's still there. I don't think they've even had the POV ceremony yet. All four of them are still in the house. Let's get the show on the road Big Brother!

ETA at 5:17 PM - The POV ceremony has not happened yet (the POV medal is still hanging on Ryan's picture). Adam is trying to talk Ryan into him (Adam) voting Sharon out. Ryan's not sure about things and I think Adam may be making a bad decision doing this much campaigning for Sheila right before the ceremony when Ryan could still take Sharon off the block and put Adam up. Think Adam! Think about it!

ETA at 5:23 PM - It seems as though Adam has talked Ryan into the whole voting out Sharon thing. Ryan appears to be a go for the plan.

ETA at 5:50 PM - Trivia again on the feeds. Less than ten minutes until they start taping for Tuesday's "live show". It still seems the plan is for Adam to vote Sharon out. Adam has promised Ryan that when Sheila drops out or is no longer in the running to win the first part of the HOH competition, Adam will drop out right after her letting Ryan win the first part. Will this actually happen? I can't wait to find out.

ETA at 7:08 PM - The feeds are on trivia. I will update this post when they're not on trivia. So if you're reading this post and this is still the latest update here, then the feeds are still on trivia and I have no idea what's going on in the house. LOL! I'll update as soon as something changes.

ETA at 8:48 PM - Yes, the feeds are still on trivia. I'm going to go lay down but I'll have BBAD ready to go at 9:00 PM and I'll be falling asleep to it. I'm positive it will be the three hours Big Brother filmed this morning for Showtime. I also highly doubt we'll get the live feeds back any time soon. At the earliest, I'm thinking they might be back when I wake up for work in the morning. At the latest, I'm thinking after the live show finishes airing on Wednesday evening. Either way, I'm going to bed. Look for a new post in the morning with an update as to what went on overnight -- if anything. Good night folks!

Two Questions

Since we're basically in a holding pattern until we find out the results of the Power of Veto competition (which will probably be held late this afternoon or early this evening), I would like to get an idea on where all of you stand. I feel a quick couple of questions would be perfect right about now.

Who do you want to win the POV and why?

Rye-Bread Makes The Final Three

Whoa! Talk about a show tonight! If that didn't get your blood pumping then I don't know what will.

The lead-up to Natalie being evicted was fantastic! They did a great job with showing the house meeting in the bathroom while Natalie was dying her hair but cut things a little short on the Sharon and Natalie confrontation in the kitchen. I'll spare the criticism on that because I know they were under considerable time constraints tonight with it being a live show.

Natalie was absolutely stunned when she heard her name called. I still think she's having a hard time realizing she was evicted. To all of you out there who feel that Adam and Ryan did her wrong, I recommend you getting over it. She did go out with class (and I never expected her not to) so all of you Natalie fans can take heart in that. I didn't feel sorry for her though one bit. I didn't like her and I'm ecstatic that Natalie is gone. I'm sure I feel the same way that everybody who couldn't stand James was when he was voted out. And I like that Sheila was made to break the tie and that Natalie still has no idea who cast the vote against her (that would be Ryan).

I liked the HOH competition and I especially loved the last question. I still can't stop laughing over it. I would have rather seen Sharon or Adam win over Ryan but to tell you the truth, I really don't care right now. I don't particularly like any of these final four so I'm all about their gameplay now.

I can't believe some of you think the HOH competition was rigged because of that last question though. The feeds have since come on and the hamsters are still talking about what the answer to that question. Ryan is stuck on Sheila and Matt being related but, obviously, Ryan has forgotten that Julie's question was about a pre-existing relationship still in the house. Does anybody see Matty around? Sheila thinks she's related to Ryan. That just cracks me up! I can't wait to hear some of the theories these people are going to throw out of the next day or so about this.

So what do you think about the show tonight? Are you happy about Natalie being evicted or sad? What about Ryan winning HOH? It's obvious he'll be nominating Sharon and Sheila so the finality of the block will come down to this last Power of Veto competition. What do you think about this final question in the HOH competition?

I love you BEEEBEEEES! Oh you sweet guinea pigs! Hahahaha!

Crunch Time

Today was a really boring day in the house. Honestly, Wednesday evening can't get here quick enough. And in saying that I can't believe that we have less than two weeks until this season ends and a winner is crowned. It almost seems like just yesterday that it all began. But April 27th is the finale and I must say that most of the people still in the house aren't the ones I would have wished to have been there or even the ones I thought would have been there.

There's only two more HOH competitions to be had and only one more Power of Veto competition left. The winner of this next Head of Household competition (and it can't be Sheila) will have a guaranteed spot in the final three. The winner of this final POV, as long as it's not the HOH that won it, will also have secured a spot in the final three (as long as they don't do something stupid). And after this week, all we'll have left is the three-part HOH competition that will determine the final two. Amazing isn't it? And then? Just over two months until Big Brother 10 begins! Wow!

Does anybody still feel as confident as they did a couple of days ago that Natalie will be going home this week? And do you think the meeting that the guys held with Natalie yesterday helped or hurt them? Personally, I think it made them look like jackasses (even though she did kinda deserve it). Way too little and way too late I feel. If they were going to call her out, especially using the Bible, they should have done that a couple of weeks ago. But of course, they wouldn't have done that because they were too worried about getting other people out. The boys should have just left well enough alone. It didn't really even do anything but backfire on them because Sharon and Sheila didn't appreciate it and the boys themselves wound up feeling bad about ambushing Natalie like that. And besides, they were safe so why even behave like that?

And who do you want to win this next very important HOH?

Happy Birthday Sheila!

Dear Sheila,

Happy 46th birthday girl! How does it feel to be another year older? That was a really nice surprise Big Brother had for you. Your card with notes from your son, mother, and sister was especially great. It sounds as though you have a wonderful family and they love and miss you. I'm sure you were really surprised at receiving your coffee mug. What a wonderful thing for you to have in that crazy house. As you drink your coffee each morning, I'm sure it will be hard to stop staring at all of their pictures.

I'm sure you're going to want to kill your fellow hamsters later though when you watch your birthday celebration on the big screen. Couldn't they have put it off ten or fifteen minutes so that you could have at least dried your newly dyed hair? Ah well, you're not even going to care about it next year.

When it comes to the game, you had better keep your eye out on everybody in there. Not a single one of them have your back and I hope you realize that. You'd also better be running through every scenario in your mind concerning what might happen. Oh, and you really should step it up in the competition department as well. It's getting to be very crucial in the game to win those things. Watch your head though because the HOH power is really gettin' to your noggin'. Stop hanging out so much in the HOH room and keep on socializing with everybody -- even if they don't want you to be there.

Well take care and have a wonderful day. You deserve it ya know!

Sincerely,
HamsterDame

So if you could write a birthday letter to Sheila right now, what would you say?

The Big She Is The Big Cheese

Well, well, well. Sheila pulled it out and won her first HOH of the season.

Now she has to make an important decision as to who to put up on the block. She promised Natalie that she wouldn't put her up but I could see Sheila going back on her promise if it keeps her in the game. Remember, she's doing this for her son!

Who do you think Sheila will nominate for eviction later this afternoon? Will she put the boys up on the block? Will she go the safe route and throw Sharon and Adam up there? Or might she actually break her word and nominate Natalie? What do you think she should do and what do you think she will do?

A Crack In Team Christ?

Might Sheila and Sharon have turned Adam and Ryan against Natalie? Part of me really thinks so. Independently, both of them did quite a bit of talking to the boys yesterday and really made them think about things.

First, Sheila spilled Natalie's plan to Adam about targeting him next because he's a strong player. She also told him that Natalie wants the girls to be the final 3. If you were watching the feeds at all yesterday, you saw Natalie flitting around the house talking to anybody and everybody that would listen to her. With the boys, then with the girls, then with people by themselves. She's stirring up quite a hornet's nest with everybody and people are beginning to catch on.

Then Sharon confirmed to Adam and Ryan up in the HOH room last night about Natalie's intentions. Sharon was upset that Natalie's been talking crap about her behind her back. It seems the house is finally getting to Sharon but it's also causing her to finally open up a little. In doing so, she's planting these seeds in Adam, Sheila, and Ryan's mind and they're wising up to Natalie's ways. Unfortunately, the boys aren't really sure who to believe. Is Natalie being faithful to them? Are Sheila and Sharon telling them the truth? Either way, they're going to have to pick a side and soon because Natalie's upping her game (a little too early if you ask me).

It still seems that James being evicted is a foregone conclusion so if Sharon wants to truly stay in the game she had better win the HOH competition or maybe, even more importantly, the POV. Because if "that group" binds together again, they'll pick Sharon off for the sake of harmony. It is nice to see some cracks in Team Christ finally. It's the time we've been waiting for folks!

So what do you think about all of this that's going on? Do you think the boys will wisen up and slyly go after Natalie? Or will they coward out and flail around for another week while the girls finish getting their game together? And I still wonder if there's any way to keep James in this week. Yeah, I know. I can dream though right?

While you're letting me know what you think of all of this in the Comments, feel free to drop me a birthday message. Yup, today's the day. Ahhh, another year older.

Your Favorite Final Six?

Watching the six remaining hamsters of Big Brother 9 is as exciting as watching paint dry or mowing the lawn or taking a lint roller to clothing. But honestly, we reach this lull in most seasons. This season, things will pick up when the cannibalization of Team Christ begins. Until that happens, let's take a stroll down memory lane and recall the final six from the seasons before this one. Because Big Brother 1 was in such a different format, I won't be including that one.

Big Brother 2 - Krista, Bunky, Hardy, Monica, Nicole, Will
Big Brother 3 - Roddy, Marcellas, Amy, Jason, Danielle, Lisa
Big Brother 4 (X-Factor) - Jack, Jee, Erika, Robert, Alison, Jun
Big Brother 5 (Project DNA) - Marvin, Karen, Nakomis, Diane, Michael, Drew
Big Brother 6 (Summer of Secrets) - Beau, Howie, April, Janelle, Ivette, Maggie
Big Brother 7 (All-Stars) - Danielle, George, Will, Janelle, Erika, Mike
Big Brother 8 (Biggest Nemesis & America's Player) - Jessica, Eric, Jameka, Zach, Daniele, Dick
Big Brother 9 ('Til Death Do You Part) - Adam, James, Natalie, Ryan, Sharon, Sheila

So how do this season's final six stack up against other seasons' final six? You can take anything into factor: level of intelligence, excitement factor, in-fighting, etc. I would appreciate it though if you told me why you picked the season that you did. It will be interesting to see what everybody chooses.

Live Feed Update at 12:00 PM - The POV ceremony is over. Ryan used his POV (duh!) on Sheila. Adam put James on the block in her place so it's Sharon and James on the block now and one of them will be going home on Wednesday.

Last Day For Chelsia?

I honestly don't think we're going to have any surprises on the live show tonight as to who will be evicted. I feel safe saying that It will be Chelsia going home. James even told Chelsia last night that he can't vote for her to stay because he knows she'll go after him in the game.

Sharon had a little mini-breakdown yesterday after being worked over by Sheila and Natalie. She had her cry and then gathered her composure. Of course the "other" side is trying to get Sharon to flip but before doing so, she'd better realize she'd be low man on the totem pole over there. They'd use her for a week or two to get James and Josh out and then boot her ass. So stay strong Sharon!

Big Brother will be back to its regular time tonight at 8:00 PM ET and I'll be live-blogging the show as usual so check back here this evening to chat and follow along. I really do wonder which of those questions (if any) that we answered on CBS' website will be used in tonight's HOH competition.

So who do you all want to see win HOH tonight? Who would you want them to nominate? And what are your thoughts on Sharon going to the "other" side?

Ten Questions

With all of the goings on around this place lately, I'd be really interested to see how you would answer these questions. If you want to see my answers, you can do so here. But why don't you tell me what you think right now at this point in the game?

1. Who is the most underrated player left?
2. Who is the most overrated player left?
3. Who do you think will win?
4. Who do you think *should* win?
5. Who is most irritating to you?
6. Who is getting the best and worst TV edit?
7. Who is most different on the feeds vs. TV?
8. Who is the luckiest to still be there?
9. Who will get the rudest awakening when they leave the house from the public?
10. Who will be received best after they leave?

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all of you Big Brother fools! Whoa, that feels weird to say. I'll probably never get the chance to say that to you again due to the unique circumstances this season.

Yesterday was a fairly boring day in the house wasn't it? The only major event that happened was Chelsia, Josh, Sheila, and Sharon getting to watch the movie up in the HOH room. While they were up there doing that, Natalie and James came to an "understanding" to have each other's backs until the end of the game. Of course, it wasn't real. The movie-goers then brought down candy for the others to enjoy so everybody snacked on that.

The only other business going on in the house was between James and Chelsia late last night. They came close to doing the deed but stopped just short. James did tell Chelsia that Big Brother gave the OK for them to have sex in the Diary Room behind the couch though as long as they showed their heads. While they almost completed their mission last night, I kinda think they'd already completed it the night before. Why don't you be the judge? Now consider yourselves warned -- don't click these links at work or with the kiddies around. Here is the footage of them from Friday night. And this is the footage of them from last night in the sauna room. After they left the sauna they went to the bathroom and Josh caught them making out.

On the agenda for today, the hamsters will be having their POV ceremony. James will be using his Power of Veto on himself which will leave an empty chair for Adam to fill. Sharon has graciously chosen to put her head and her ass on the chopping block. Confident little thang ain't she? Part of me would love to see things flip so that she goes home this week. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! You never volunteer to be on the block.

I wonder if Big Brother will do anything special for them today since it's Easter. They could give them some Easter baskets at least. The hamsters did boil eggs last night for their own Easter egg hunt today. And perhaps Natalie and the two remaining Bible Buddies will gather the houseguests for a little Bible study on the meaning of Easter. Oh, one could only hope!

A Conversation With Sheila Of Big Brother 9

I hope all of you enjoy this little video of Sheila I put together. It sure was a helluva lot of fun making it!

Let me know what you think about it in the comments -- good or bad! :)

POV Watch

Since we're all waiting with bated breath for the POV competition, I thought it would be good if we all took a look at last season's croquet POV competition that Dick won. Dick said in his chat here that this POV competition will be just like last season's but it will be sort of twisted in that they'll also be competing against Dick.

So let us take a stroll down memory lane and revisit last season's Power of Veto competition. For what it's worth, if there are concoctions again I hope they are just as nasty because I would love to see if Sheila would actually drink any of them!

ETA at 7:10 AM - Well I heard Dick talking and laughing with somebody about 45 minutes ago (the audio on his mic bled through to the feeds) and then I'd been watching them sleep. I was afraid to go grab a second cup of coffee just in case! But I shouldn't have waited, because trivia has started and it seems they won't even show us a tiny bit of the wake-up. Booo!

ETA at 8:40 AM - The feeds are still on trivia so let's take another stroll down memory lane. The links that follow are of Dick's wake-up calls last season and the hilarity/rampage that followed. Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6 - Part 7

ETA at 10:40 AM - Still trivia on the feeds but I did just finish watching House Calls. Early on in the show, Gretchen showed what was happening on the live feeds and we saw James lying in his bed. He appeared to be sleeping and was fully dressed and laying on top of the covers. Then at the very end of House Calls, they showed the live feeds again and we saw Dick. He was in the backyard and appeared to be announcing something or practicing lines because he had paper in his hands and was walking back and forth across a little stage. There were also cardboard stand-ups of flames to the side of the stage.

The Plan

Just a quick question for y'all this afternoon. Do you think 'the plan' hatched by James/Josh/Chelsia/Sharon last night will end up being successful in getting Matt voted out of the house?

Rank The Hamsters

It's been a smidge over a month since the feeds have been on so I think it's a good time for us to rank the hamsters. Please post a comment listing the current hamsters in the house in order of favorite to least favorite. To get everybody started, here are my rankings.

1. James (favorite)
2. Chelsia
3. Ryan
4. Adam
5. Sharon
6. Josh
7. Natalie
8. Sheila
9. Matt (least favorite)

Now gimme yours! It will be interesting to see how all of you rank them.

James or Sharon?

Who's staying?

James has really begun trying to work with people while Sharon's been trying to lay relatively low. James has been promising the moon and the stars to Matt, Ryan, and Adam. Sharon's been working Sheila.

As of this moment, who do you think will be staying? James or Sharon? Or is it still too early to call?

And who would you rather see stay in? James or Sharon?

Where Would You Draw The Line?

I'd like to ask you to put yourself in a hamster's shoes. You can pick somebody from this season or even the very first season -- it won't matter. You can pick your favorite hamster of all time or you can pick the one you despise(d) the most. Again, it won't matter.

Now imagine yourself in a situation similar to the one after the POV ceremony yesterday. Or a situation similar to Dick and Jen's cigarette fight last season. Or a situation similar to Michael and Cappy's "almost" physical fight from BB6. There are many more but you get the picture. Now you're in that position and everything's going crazy around you. How well do you think you'd be able to tell yourself in the middle of all of it, "This is just a game."

Because didn't you realize it was just a game going into the house? Surely you'd at least heard about the game even if it was only right before you auditioned. Friends or family might have told you how almost everything you say would be heard by thousands upon thousands of people who would then talk about it on the internet. They might have even told you that people were going to say bad things about you -- both in and out of the house. I mean, everybody's fighting for the money right along with you.

Or perhaps you thought of it as more of a cool place to crash for awhile and get to know some people. If you won some money along the way, hey that'd be nice too. Who am I kidding? Even those of you that fall into this category would wind up getting all caught up in the money once inside the house.

Either way, you'd quickly learn you can only be one of three people in the house. You could let it all hang out and be exactly who you are in real life. You could basically be yourself but embellish and lie about some things. Or you could be a completely different person than who you really are and hope you can keep it all together long enough to last until the end.

So when these explosive situations happen around you inside the house what would you do? Pardon my language but the words "cunt", "whore", "bitch", and soooo many others have been slung around the house since the first season. There's a mighty healthy dose of graphic sex talk each season. There's usually talk of illicit drug use, racial slurs that are uttered, and over-the-top religious discussions each season. Would you really be so offended or would you just pretend to be? Do you think you'd be on either the giving or receiving end of those words or those conversations?

What if somebody brought up your family in a mean-spirited way? What about if somebody dumped iced tea on your head or threw pickle juice at you? What if somebody ran at you as though they were going to hit you? What if somebody hid your belongings? What if somebody destroyed some of your belongings? How would you react? Could you imagine being upset enough that you would do any of these things to somebody in the house? Do you think that these behaviors should be considered part of the game? Remember, this is not your real life. Or is it?

So how would you act or react in these situations and where would you draw the line at acceptable behavior in the house? Is name-calling OK? Is making fun of somebody for what they said they've done OK? And what about pushing that increasingly stuffed envelope? Is that OK?

Crazy James Not Really Homeless

We've already learned on the feeds that James isn't exactly homeless and he's told all of us about his biking around the world. But are you interested in just a little bit more on how this all got started? Check out the blurb below and then click to read that person's complete post from November 2007 and find out just exactly what is going on with James.

Last week, a bunch of us here at POKE, had a very interesting experience. We routinely hold chat sessions to just talk to regular folks and understand their tech habits. On Friday, we had a bunch of guys come in for one such routine session. One of them was the Crazy James.

His story paraphrased, -- He is trying to spread peace and love in the world that is consumed by materialistic desires and he will bike around the world for just $100. We checked out the above video on his myspace site. And we totally admit that this kid's got balls. But once you get over that - it's a load of bullshit that irresponsible brands contribute to and perpetuate. Let's examine this a little more closely.

Click here to read the full post and to also check out a video. The article refers to his MySpace a lot so here's that link as well in case you didn't know it before.

One Large Order Of Drama Coming Up

Regardless of which side of the house you're on, you have to admit that today is going to be a fantabulous day! Will we have drama? Check. Will we have yelling? Check. Will we have crying? Check. Will we have an overload of testosterone? Check. Check.

Personally, I don't really care for Matt and wish he was the one going up on the block but it doesn't really bother me either that James will be going up instead. Ryan is doing what's best for him and the group that he's aligned himself with is the stronger one. Then throw in the fact that Alex, Amanda, or Allison will be back in the house and it means that group will only become stronger.

What do you think everybody's reactions will be after the POV ceremony today? And are you as excited about the upcoming drama as I am?

ETA at 12:01 PM - Flames! Woohoo!

ETA at 12:12 PM - False alarm. Boo!

ETA at 12:53 PM - Flames again! I think this is it! *HD dances around the living room*

ETA at 1:23 PM - We're back!

ETA at 1:29 PM - James is definitely up on the block against Sharon. When the feeds came back on, Sheila and Matt were consoling Sharon and talking to her about her alliance with Josh. Now, Chelsia is upset in the backyard and talking with Matt, Adam, and Ryan.

Pawn With A Pink Streak

As you might know already, the nomination plans were changed mid-afternoon today. Ryan had originally planned on putting Sheila and Sharon up on the block together but was talked out of it. Actually, it was more like he was shown the light.

Ryan's ultimate plan is for Sharon to go home this week. While Matt really tried to push him to put Josh up on the block against Sharon, James and Adam helped talk him into putting Chelsia up against the voice-screeching wallflower. Adam's main reason was that he wants to be the one to put Sheila up on the block himself but, regardless of the reason, Ryan made the right choice.

Sheila wouldn't win the POV. I have no absolutely no hesitation stating that. Sharon would run circles around Sheila in either a physical or mental competition. She needed to be put up against somebody that would give her some competition. Chelsia is that person. Chelsia has a better chance out of all of the women in the house to beat Sharon in the POV. It doesn't hurt Chelsia either that she's part of the Bros alliance -- well more than the other women anyway. Ryan and the other Bros want the Hos out of the house and have promised Chelsia that she's safe for the week. Just in case things go wrong and Sharon wins the POV and takes herself off the block, it will be Sheila that goes up and gets voted out.

I can't blame Chelsia for feeling a little apprehensive about their plans. How many times have we seen the pawn go home? Somebody? Anybody?

Do you think Ryan's nominations were smart? And let's be honest here, does anybody else feel that Ryan should have answered that last question incorrectly and let Adam win HOH?

Drama To The Max

What a great live show tonight! Of course, tonight's show was even better because of everything that went down. Don't you know it just killed Joshuah to not be interviewed by Julie up in the HOH room? Little Princess Drama Queen will surely bring it up in the week to come. Josh must have to know he's a huge target this week.

And what about Ryan winning the HOH? Who of you out there saw that one coming? Those were some pretty hard questions in the competition tonight. And the chances of him of all people actually winning it? I mean, his partner just left the house and then he's the new HOH after earning it all on his own? You know many of them in the house are wanting to poop their drawers at what happened tonight.

Who do you want to be voted back into the house? I really want to vote Alex back in but all the guys will gang up and really run a train on the women then. Perhaps another girl is what the house needs to balance out Allison not being there. Do you think Amanda would do better in the house a second time around? What about Jen? Perhaps even Allison again? Surely they will have some kind of immunity when they come back and then they'll probably be the biggest target in the following week.

How much did you love Allison's reactions tonight? She went from being so excited and staying in (just watching her trying to open the door had me rolling with laughter) and then to watch her face as she was evicted by a vote of 6-0? I LOVED it! I can only imagine how much she's bawling right now. And you know when Jen finds out about all of this that she'll be laughing her rear off. It should give Ryan and Jen plenty to talk about later on.

There are so many ways this game could go right now! And you have to love all of them scurrying to try to set up alliances right now. Just wait until they find out somebody will be coming back in after all!

ETA - Click HERE to vote. The polls will close at 11:59 PM PT on March 11, 2008 (2:59 AM ET March 12). The person possibly re-enters the house during the live show on March 12. We have one week to vote. Keep that in mind.

Me In The Big Brother House?

I was asked recently if I would want to be a hamster in the Big Brother house. And since it's been a relatively slow weekend concerning the hamsters I thought I'd take a little time to ponder the idea. Would I want to be cooped up in a house with a bunch of strangers and be watched by all you weirdos (hehe) and have you pick apart my every word and movement? In typical HamsterDame fashion, part of me says yes and part of me says no.

The yes part of me thinks I could actually go pretty far in the house. I consider myself a person that's fairly easy to get along with. I can talk to just about anyone about most everything under the sun so I would have the conversationalist part down. Some might consider it one-sided though. When talking with others, I tend to want to know more about them and their thoughts and experiences without giving up much about myself. If you want to know something about me, you're going to have to come right out and ask. That could either be good or bad in the game. So I would probably have to cough up some info (even if it's false) to build those oh so trusting relationships in the house. I wouldn't be interested in what people thought of my clothes or hair or makeup. Go ahead and call me a "6". I don't care.

I was specifically asked to address the issue of skeletons in my closet possibly coming to light for all the world to see. That's a more interesting angle to delve into. I'd like to think that all of us have something in our past, or possibly present, that we don't necessarily want everyone to know about. I don't think any of my skeletons are so bad that it would cause my world to crash down around me or make me the laughingstock of the nation. I smoked a few joints back in high school. It wasn't my thing and I never went on to try anything harder. I've had a few too many drinks occasionally and done some stupid things, but again, nothing too bad. I've been married once, and then divorced, under "normal" circumstances. There was no scandal involved there. I don't have any DUIs, never had an abortion, and am not or have ever been involved in any nefarious business doings. So I think I'm OK on the skeleton front.

With all of that said, the no part of me would probably win out and keep me out of the Big Brother house. I'm more of a watcher than anything. I like watching people's actions and reactions from afar. Seeing a woman brush her fingers through her hair when a handsome man appears, a man squaring his jaw as he concentrates on a crossword puzzle, a couple of kids playing with their toys engrossed in fantasy: that is what I prefer. How people act in the environment around them is my thing.

That's what makes the Big Brother live feeds so fun to watch. Watching them build relationships with each other and then tear them down only to build them back up again is fascinating. We, the feed watchers, see things that would never make it onto the show. We learn to tell when someone is lying by the tone of their voice and their body language. And we can't forget the inevitable nipple slips and naughty language. With varying degrees, we are all fascinated by those moments. Don't even try to deny it. You can tell others you aren't interested in some juiciness but you know damned well you are.

So while I think I could handle being in the Big Brother house just fine, I would much rather watch the hamsters myself. What about you? Would you want to be in the Big Brother house a
