Jordan Wins Big Brother 11

I didn't care too much for the three hamsters that made it to the end but the format of the finale more than made up for it. Watching the three parts of the final Head of Household competition live on the television show really upped the suspense and entertainment value of the season itself. Do not go back to the old season-ending schedule for Big Brother 12 Allison Grodner!

Where do I start on the show itself last night? I loved that every time Natalie said she'd never backstabbed or lied the audience guffawed. Jordan winning the final HOH competition was almost unbelievable. Julie's questions for the jury and then the questions and remarks from the first four evicted were priceless! It was only fitting that Ronnie was the one to expose Natalie's real age to Jordan. Even more fitting was exposing Jessie's remark to Julie in the HOH room early in the season about his platonic relationship with Lydia. I just knew that Julie would never forget that! I wonder if Lydia felt like she'd been played as a fool after seeing that.

The questions for Natalie and Jordan from the jury were fairly good this season. They've bounced back and forth between being lame and bitter in the previous seasons so it was nice it seemed they actually put some thought into them this time. But how great was Michele's mention of Natalie being 18 years old in her question concerning lying? Natalie just fell right into that trap didn't she?

I want you all to fess up now. A month ago, who among you would have thought that Jordan would be winning Big Brother 11? I know I didn't! I definitely thought the votes would have been closer than what they were though. It was no surprise that Lydia voted for Jordan to win over Natalie because she's been awfully bitter about her in the jury house the whole time. I was absolutely shocked that Jessie voted for Jordan to win though. I guess Lydia really did crawl up into his head and poison him against Natalie. Oh well, I don't mind!

Congratulations Jordan! I was a fan of yours for about half the season and then not so much the rest. But you won what you needed to in the end to ensure yourself a place in the final two so I have to give you credit for that. Enjoy the half million and I hope Jeff takes you on that trip to Hawaii!

I will be posting links to videos and interviews here on Silly Hamsters as they're posted across the web. So while the season has ended, the posts here haven't. Keep an eye out on SuperPass today because Chelsia Hart's post-season interviews from the backyard of the house will be posted there. Also, be sure to check out Express Lunch and a special BB Hour on SuperPass today beginning at 12:00 PM PT. You also might enjoy what will be shown on the feeds Friday and Saturday evening. Can you say live streams from the Big Brother party in Las Vegas?

So what did you all think about the show last night? Are you happy with how things turned out? What were your favorite parts of the show? What did you think about having a two-hour finale? Did you like the new schedule for the final week of Big Brother? Tell me anything and everything you want about this season in the comments!

Update at 11:00 AM - Here are a few interviews with Jordan. There will be more to come later!

Hi HD!

Yes I thought Jordan could win. Well I didn't really think so, but I was cheering for her since Jeff left. I figured if my Jeff didn't win, she would be next best thing. I was also ok with Kevin winning, but never wanted Nat to win anything. But I do think, based on how everyone voted, Kevin would have won if she took him to final 2.

I really enjoyed the show last night. Not the recaps at the beginning so much because we have seen them a million times and can watch them forever on Flashback.

I hope Jordan goes to Hawaii with Jeff, but if not she can get her own trip with her winnings. I hope she invests some of that money for her future.

Well I am too tired right now from being up so late and getting up so early this morning so I will just post to you all later when I am fully awake.

It has been a great season and I am looking forward to chatting about other shows this BB offseason.

HD,

I loved the new format and one of the main reasons is because it still gave us some activity and gameplay in the house during that 5-day period. It's usually so lame and boring when the final 2 are just sleeping or arguing (remember Baller and Ryebread?)

I am thrilled Jordan won! Of course, I do wish it had been Jeff but oh, well...I am proud of Jordan, she really did grow up during the last few weeks in the house. I like seeing her confidence level rise, and I like that she is helping otu family with the $$$.

My favorite moment was seeing Natalie sink herself further and further during the jury questioning!

I can't wait for next season!

First, Thanks HD for all you do. I liked the new format for the ending. Gotta wonder if it was because Chima or was it planned earlier? Whatever, the out come was all good. Too bad they didn't have a prize for taking the most crap. Michele would have won that one hands down.

Posted by: deb at September 16, 2009 05:10 AM

Happy Jordan won. To be honest I knew early on that she had the potential to go to the final two and win the game.

Wish they had spent less time recapping the show at the beginning. So tired of seeing the Chima meltdown over and over..

Wish after the competition last Thursday BB would switch over and show us the JH live the remaining days in the season. Always surprised every season that they only show a few seconds of the JH experience. I think that would make for a great show..

Overall it was nice to see Ronnie apologize to Michelle. Funny that Natalie thought she had a vote from Jessie all season and he decided on Jordan. That was a priceless moment for me this season.

Oh well I will end here but so happy that Jordan won but the pulling on her outfit all night was driving me insane...LOL..

Posted by: ccc3s at September 16, 2009 05:12 AM

Just a quick comment for now and more on your questions later...
the only part I hated was seeing Natalie get the $50,000 but I realize that if Jordin had taken Kevin he probably would have won so she made the right choice for the wrong reasons. I almost feel dirty just watching Natalie walk away with that money!!!

Posted by: MistersMom at September 16, 2009 05:25 AM

I am so glad Jordan won. It was a really good show after all the cheating CBS let go on, it was fitting that Jordan got the job done.
I cannot thank you enough HD for all you give to this site for the people like me who don't have the feeds or BBAD.
I will miss all the funny people who are on chat and look forward to the next time.
See You Soon,
Take Care

As I have said in previous posts, the best or the smartest never win big brother. Most of the time those who are not threats to anyone go right to the finals.

When Jordan was making that GETTYSBURG ADDRESS to the jury room I thought she had blown it but then Natalie did the same thing to preserve the win for JOrdan. How did Kevin get that answer about Lydia wrong. Julie said what particular moment did Lydia think changed the game around. Kevin answered everytime Michelle opened her mouth. dumb dumb dumb I just knew Russell would vote for Natalie because he is a punk and punks stick together.

Posted by: gman at September 16, 2009 05:38 AM

I am so relieved that Gnat didn't win, boy she looked a little bummed out when Jessie's vote was revealed..and had Kevin known about her lying..he probably wouldn't have voted for her also. Overall I thought the finale was very well done, Jordan's answers sounded like the Miss America contestant who flubbed her answer but obviously everyone didn't want Gnat to win so here you go Jordan $500K for you!

Posted by: DetroitTiger at September 16, 2009 05:45 AM

I'm in total agreement with you HD. I loved the new format. It really built up the suspense for the finale having the final eviction live.
I hope Jordan will do some gambling while she is in Vegas because that girl is damn lucky!!! I think we all know that her "estimation" in the tie-breaker was a total guess. A REALLY GOOD total guess! I'm happy for her though. I just hope this instant fame doesn't corrupt our sweet little girl from South Carolina. The reason most of loved her in the first place was her sweet spirit and good heart.

I've had a blast this season commenting on Silly Hamsters. You do such a great job summarizing all that goes on in the house, HD. You also do an AMAZING job with the live blogging. If you are ever in need of a second career I think you should consider being a court reporter! Seriously! You'd be a natural in that line of work. So thanks again for keeping us entertained and informed.

I read a previous post in which someone said they had been dealing with family issues during the season. I, too, have had some challenges with family. Those of us in the "sandwich generation", dealing with own family, as well as aging parents, do have many balls in the air sometimes. Unfortunatley, I've spent more time on the road traveling the 300 plus miles between my home and that of my parents than I anticipated. Thank you for keeping me updated on those weeks when I missed the shows. I knew as long as I had my laptop I wouldn't be completely out of touch!

Fellow hamster watchers, I will miss you all. It's been fun agreeing, and sometimes disagreeing, with all of you. I love the fact that we can have discussions on this site and keep it civil. This is the first, and only, web and chat site where I've ever posted anything. I've never felt comfortable being a part of an online group. That's probably why it took me so many years to ever post anything. By the time I finally did, I felt like I already knew a lot of you from reading your comments through the seasons. So thanks, everyone. It has been a great experience. See all of you back here for BB12. In the meantime, sending you all my best wishes for the next nine months. Take care, everybody.

P.S. I still think Casey got ROBBED! As much as I liked Jeff, I still wanted Casey to get America's Choice. Guess I was in the small minority though. Julie said it wasn't even close. Oh well, I guess I can live it. Jeff deserved it too.
No comment about Natalie. I'm just hoping she slips quietly back into obscurity.

HD- thanks for another GREAT season of Silly Hamsters! Always my 1st site in the am and the last at night! I hate when its over because after all the fuss dies down I feel so lost with your site. I always do a random check even in the winter.. just in case you posted something. Plus the end of BB Season means the end of summer ! and here in New England we realy didnt see much of that anyway

On to the show.. what a sour sour grape Lydia is. Her comments where rude and uncalled for " we are left with two bitches in the house".. WOW Lydia WOW!
As Steven said on season 10- Jessie is a TOOL, and always will be.
I imagine Natalie must have been shocked that Jesse didnt give her his vote,

YAY JORDON AND JEFF

Posted by: bbug at September 16, 2009 05:58 AM

Probably the best moment of the evening was the guess of 50 for a correct answer of 51.

Jordan, why the hell did you wear that outfit that kept riding up?

So it breaks-down like this: Jordan=$500,000 Natalie=$50,000 Jeff=$25,000 Kevin=$10,000 plus they all got cash grab money from the first Pandora's Box. I can ilve with all that.

I hope Jordan is smart with the money. I fear she won't be. $500,0000 minus taxes minus a house equals not much left.

Posted by: EricInCLT at September 16, 2009 05:58 AM

I knew Jordan was going to take Natalie if she won the final HOH. Maybe that was the right thing for her to do to win. I didn't want Natalie to win any of the money. I would of rather seen Kevin come in second. I loved when Ronnie called Natalie out. The question that Michelle asked Natalie proved to the jury that she continued to lie. Most people would of finally admitted they had been lying about their age espesially if your trying to win. I was shocked that Jessie voted for Jordan. I think he finally realized what a slime ball Natalie was and still is.

HD, how about blogging the racing hamsters, aka The Amazing Race?

Posted by: EricInCLT at September 16, 2009 06:03 AM

Of the 3 HG's left last night, I was pulling for Jordan to win. Like you, HD, I'd been a J&J fan for most of the season... and then they got the HOH Power Syndrome... Jeff, Jordan & Michelle were my favs all season, so at least one of them won.

I enjoyed the new format of the show, and especially the way the questions were managed. Loved Michelle's question to Gnasta-lie. Perfect! I still wish they'd wrap up the show 30-minutes early and do a format similar to Survivor finale where all the HG's would sit together in the order ousted and have some convo. I guess BB like to close out on the climax of the win!... I do hope they keep the final 3 in the house until finale night and then have a 2-hour finale!

I watched some of Dick's interviews last night. What a waste... Dick should go back to bartending and know that his 15 minutes are over. His interview with Casey was great... but not because of Dick...because of Casey. Maybe next year Casey will do the backyard interviews. He'd be great!

Lastly, I do hope sweet little Jordan gets some financial advice before she goes though all that money... Hey Jordan, if you're listening, call me!

I'll be back to check out all the links to interviews... You are the bomb girl!

love the show last night. glad jordan won the money, and proud that she won hoh. felt kinda sorry for kevin, but jordan did make right decision for her, just hated to see nat get anything. i was shocked jesse voted for her, but also shocked russell voted for nat. love the 2 hourshow, wish they would include backyard stuff on bbad just suggestion. thanks for a great year hd will see you next summer. god bless partick swayze

Posted by: gramy at September 16, 2009 06:06 AM

Loved the show, especially the 2-hr format...glad Jordan won, though a month ago I wouldn't have thought it possible.

Just watched the interview on cbsnews.com with Julie and Nat and Kev. Nat was "decent"...still wish Kev had won the 50K. And, I'm sorry that Michelle didn't win the 25K.

Am looking forward to other interviews. Must say that I've gone from liking Russell to disliking him after his interview with ED.

Posted by: SudokuGal at September 16, 2009 06:09 AM

Well, I watched the whole two hours with a smile on my face. I am so glad Jordan not only won the final comp, but was also smart enough to "go with her gut" and take NatLie.
And did anyone notice after Jordan came out as the winner, that Jeff went over to introduce himself to her family??? What a guy. I really think they both are looking at some kind of long relationship, even if it is just friendship!
When Jeff won the 25K, and it wasn't even close...I was so happy.
This was the first year for me to buy the feeds, and although it gave me a completely different take on BB, if it hadn't been for Jeff and Jordan....it just wouldn't have been worth it.
I think next season, I will stick with BBAD and you, Hamster Dame. I would give up AD before I would give up you!
Now, go back to real life!

Hi HD,
Loved the format for the final week! The two hour finale was awesome. I do hope they keep it that way.

My favourite part of the show was Jeff using the coup d'etat. Okay, let's be honest, I just enjoyed anything to do with Jeff! I really loved Kevin's diary room comments, they were hilarious. I was kind of sad that he didn't make it to final 2 but I know if he had, he probably would have won. I didn't want Gnat to get any money but it really was Jordan's best move. I was a Jordan fan all along and was thrilled to see her win. I agree that she really came through in the end when it mattered the most (although I wasn't sure she was going to!) and for that, kudos Jordan.

I hope Jeff takes Jordan to Hawaii, he doesn't have anyone else in his life and he did say that if she won the 1/2 million...and they are engaged, right? :-) I think they are a cute couple and they should give it a chance outside the house.

What really made it fun this season was learning about this site from a friend. She reads it all the time but never comments or blogs. It's been so fun and I feel like I've made some great cyber friends. I'll be back for BB12 and will be looking for Survivor and TAR chats/blogs.

First of all, I was absolutely floored that Jordan won the final HOH. For that alone, I suppose she deserved to win over the other two left in the house. But, I'm sorry, I can't help myself from saying this. When the camera panned on her all season and she wasn't speaking with anyone, she had the most vacant look on her face. If you look up the expression "the lights are on, but no one is home", you will see a picture of Jordan. Anyhow, props to her.

What was up with Kevin? In the final HOH comp, he had a total brain fart. 80? Really, Kevin? Really? It was his game to lose and he did.

I really liked the 2-hr finale format and the way they played out the 3-part final HOH comp this year. Like you, HD, I hope they continue doing that in years to come.

Despite all the positive things about the season though, I still feel like I ate saccharine instead of sugar. It was sweet, but somehow unsatisfying. I really would have rather seen other HG's in the finale.

HD, thanks for the great blog. See you next year.

Posted by: CanFan at September 16, 2009 06:25 AM

Having three GH still in the house this last week was great.

Posted by: Debby Jones at September 16, 2009 06:32 AM

My wife and I were both pleased to see Jordan win it. I was annoyed that Gnat got the 50g's. I liked Michelle's comment when she put in the key, "I voted for the best woman", a comment I think about Gnat's lying about her age, and getting engaged at 18. We were also stunned by Jessie's vote for Jordan. We both thought Jeff has a quick wit for his comments about Jessie's head, and seeing first if Jordan wins before deciding to take her to Hawaii. I thought Jeff took Kevin's diary room " he is so stupid" remarks rather well. After seeing that, I knew he deserved the 25 grand as America's choice. All in all, a good season. Keep up the great work HD!

Posted by: jerseyfan at September 16, 2009 06:33 AM

I can honestly say at the begining of the season I turned to my husband and said I like Jordan, she is adorable, but there is no way she will be able to win!! LOL well I guess I was right on liking her. I still think she is adorable and hopefully her and Jeff can stay together...they will make super cute babies! :o)))

I loved every min of it it was so good I have been a fan of Jeff and Jordan from day one and I could not be happier that Jordan won the game and Jeff won Americas player in my oppinion this was the best win ever bc both my faves won most of the time I think the wrong people get the money but this time good won over evil congrats Jordan and Jeff u both deserved it and I knew u could do it

Posted by: Crystal at September 16, 2009 06:50 AM

yay for Jordan!!!!

Posted by: Alyson at September 16, 2009 06:59 AM

OMG where do I start. Yes I am thrilled that Jordan won and I loved the way all the final HOH comp's were played live. I also loved seeing alot more of the jury house at the end , Well let me stop rambleing on & on I think the way the show ended this season was the Bomb and I hope it remains this way for all the coming seasons. The only thing I felt bad about was Kevin. The poor guy looked like he was going to bust out in tears any minute. I also hate the fact that Gnat won second prize. But again Kevin has no one to blame but himself. He could have gotten rid of Gnat so many times but he kept wanting to trust her and we all know how stupid that was. I think both Kevin & Gnat under estimated Jordan's ability to win comps (as I did ) and Kevin got the short end of the stick. I guess for Jordan to win she was right in picking the horrible Gnat. I don't think she had a chance against Kevin. Great year HD!

Posted by: Patti at September 16, 2009 07:22 AM

Right on Jordan. You pulled it together at the right time. I would pulled my hair out if that biatch Nathalie won. She's got the nerve to call Michelle the devil. Her fiance looks like a deer in the headlights, scared for his life. Anyway, the person that needed it the most and for me was the most likeable out of the two (being Jordan and Kevin) won. Kind of surprised me actually. And whats with Jessie voting for Jordan. That was classic. Good on ya Jordan, enjoy the cash. Out

I loved the show last night. I am so glad Jordan won! She has been my favorite since day one. I hope something will becoome of her and Jeff. they are so cute!! I know shw can really use the money.Congrats Jordan!!

Posted by: Stacy Reed at September 16, 2009 07:25 AM

Yea Jordan. She came through when she needed to. Good Job.
I enjoyed the new format for the finale so much. Honestly, for me it really saved the season. I am so glad that Jordan won. I'm a little sorry that Kevin didn't get any money but I'm sure Jordan made the right choice.
I listened to some of ED's backyard interviews and was I little disappointed to find out how many houseguests are recruited. Natalie also exposed herself for just how opportunistic she is. She said she'd like to talk to Alison about a BB wedding. Gross! At least now it makes sense as to why she accepted the proposal.
That being said, loved the finale and love you, HD for making the season exciting!

Posted by: Nancy at September 16, 2009 07:27 AM

I think I know why Jessie voted for Jordan. Since he is such a narcissistic egomaniac, he was probably extremely offended to hear Natalie say that she stood besides all of the people that were despised in the house, so that they would do the dirty work and then would have the targets on them. Keep in mind, Jessie is the person that could not watch himself on the show after it was over last year, because he could not handle everyone not loving the entity which is Jessie. It was a reality check that he could not stomach. To hear the person that he most closely alligned himself with say that he was despised was such created such an ego blow to him probably enraged him. But that is just my opinion. HD, what do you think?

Oh...one more thing...Jordan totally rocked it and ABSOLUTELY earned the whole last portion of BB! She won everything she NEEDED to and was cool till the end - perfect outcome w/ what we had to work with I think BB fans!! :-)

2 hour finale is a must!!!! SO great!

Posted by: Lisa at September 16, 2009 07:51 AM

Just want to start by typing, screaming, declaring in a high-pitched squeal that I'm so ecstatic Jordan won BB11! I believe that she will actually use the money to help others, very kind hearted, naive, yes, but truly believe that she has the best intentions. Not happy GNAT won anything but in the long run Jordan actually made the right decision taking GNAT cuz I don't think she would have won against Kevin. It's so ironic that GNAT was so sure that she would have beat Jordan, KARMA is a bitch! Jessie's vote was the bomb! Take that GNAT! Wish I could be a fly on the wall once she starts reading the blogs, comments, postings about her. Actually I wish I could for all of them.....Once again I loved Kevin's facial expressions once he learned of GNAT'S lies and I truly believed he had second thoughts on his final vote! Love, Love, Loved the 2 hour finale! FINALLY! I hope they keep this format (Final 3 in the house) for BB12, loved the anticipation and SURPRISE on finale night!

If you would have suggested to me 2 months ago that Jordan would have won BB, I would have been shocked! Midseason, I thought she might have a shot with the Final 4 Deal but as the final month unraveled, just didn't think she had it in her! I'm so happy she won the final 2 HOH comps. Hope her and Jeff enjoy Hawaii, although I really don't believe they will end up a couple, would be nice to think but don't see it happening!

HD, just want to thank you for such a great site! For years, I have looked forward to opening and reading your blog each BB Season. It's the first thing I checked in the morning, couldn't wait to escape from reality during the day to peek at your updates and all the phenomenal comments and I'm so pleased that after 5 years of sitting on the sidelines, I finally got the courage to post comments! First and only blog that I have ever commented on and I was truly immersed once I started. It's great to have a voice whereas in the real world, people ridicule me for loving BB....I will definitely be back in 9 months; I finally feel like I'm actually part of the HD family and only wish that I would have dove in earlier in previous seasons. Thank you for all your hard work! Your site is the best and once I uncover other BB addicts, I immediately refer them to your site. So many intelligent, insightful commenters's that I'm constantly amazed that we are all so engrossed in this silly reality show! If it wasn't for your commitment and determination to BB, we would all be living our secret BB addictions unaccompanied! A huge round of applause, standing ovation for your extraordinary efforts! Can't thank you enough! Will miss you and all the posters (is that correct blog lingo?) immensely!

Snoopy, have enjoyed your posts and I think that we have very similar thoughts and I always looked forward to your comments! Hope to banter again next year!

Toodles, Adios, Arrivederci, Ciao, Au Revoir, Later Alligators, Farewell, my new friends, till we meet again...... Michelle A.K.A. Chi-girl (yes from Chicago, but not too shy) until 2010..........BB12. Perhaps we will meet in the Survivor chat room?

Posted by: chigirl at September 16, 2009 08:14 AM

YIPPPEEEEEEE!!!

I'm still grinning! Especially about the part where Natalie was tossed aside at the end. I kept watching her - people barely wanted to high five her. :D And not to mention her barely looking at her fiance. I would've been all over my loved one!

Thanks again, HD. Great stuff. But I'll miss you. :(

Can somebody bring me up to speed? What happened last night? Did Bunky finally win?

Posted by: elytheeel at September 16, 2009 08:28 AM

Like everyone else who commented, I am thrilled that Jordan won. But I don't agree that she is completely "vacant" upstairs - there are different kinds of smart. She listened to her "gut" so the girl has good instincts and was smart enough to listen to them. And she had good instincts about Jeff too so she's smart in ways that count! Remember, Jeff was pretty much an outcast when she latched onto him, I almost said "hooked up with him" instead of "latched onto him" but like Kelly Clarkson's song, Jordan does not hook up! WAY TO GO JORDAN! Your beauty is not just on the outside!

Posted by: revcat at September 16, 2009 08:29 AM

IT'S OVER ALREADY?
I'm always amazed how I feel like the show just started when it ends. As many up's and down's, what seemed like bad casting at times, and how the rules seemed to be streached to the limits, I'm already excited for the next season of BB.

So glad Jordan won. Funny how they held Gnat back so Jordan could come through the door solo and shine in her moment.

QUESTION?
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF BB BRINGING BACK A WINTER EDITION?

Thanks HD for your site.
Sincerely,
Vegas

I had my doubts about Jordan winning but in all eleven seasons of BB I have never been so happy with the 500,000 dollar winner,it's just too bad the 50,000 dollars went to Nat and not Kevin. You go Jordan I'm so happy for you.

During the show last night my heart was pounding. It was like I was waiting to see if one of my family members were going to get the $500, 000. When it came to a tie breaker I was really worried. As we all know Jordan usually isn't good when she has to guess numbers. But she pulled it off and then I was happy and could relax. Someone earlier said they guessed 51 and was right on the money, I guessed 50 just like Jordan.
Hey, did anyone see Evel interviewing last night? He rambled on about himself maybe more than he talked about the guest. He also let out that he hasn't talked to Danielle since December. What is she mad about now?

Posted by: Cerenay at September 16, 2009 09:04 AM

I never thought in a million years Jordan could win this thing. I really didnt expect her to even be there at the end unless she continued the full ride on Jeffs coattails. The good thing for her is Kevin never saw her as a threat and didnt target her. I doubt anyone saw her as a threat.

She also made the right move to evict Kevin at the end. I doubt she would have won against him. (It would be interesting to know how Americas vote went with the Jordan/Kevin final.) Kevin worried himself to death at the end during the final HOH competition. That was too bad.

Also, Jordon was notorious to write wildly high numbers during competitions. If I were Kevin, I would have written down 1 (one) as my guess because any other time, Jordan would have went over and he would have had it by default.

I did like the revamped final and hope the format stays. I also like the Americas vote option so maybe they can keep that too.

There were so many great moments that played out last night during the TWO-HOUR-long season-ending show.

I too wish a little less time had been spent recapping the season (they should have done all that on Sunday's show) and more time on interviewing the final three after the show was over. It would have been pure joy watching Kevin gnash his teeth and the NastyLie get called out by Julie "Grape from Fruit Of The Looms outfit" Chen and her probing interrogation style interviews.

During Jordan's final plea/speech to the jury it looked as if she was blowing it badly. Not only did she have trouble making sense and forming complete sentences but her hands in the pockets and general nervousness just had me worried.

But then The Nasty stood up and tried to plead her case. When she answered the jury questions she totally blew any chance she had of swaying the votes by just being herself. It became completely apparent that she was not lying and deceiving in the house as a strategy, but simply because that is her true nature. She couldn't stop lying any more than a snake can stop crawling on its belly.

The sad part is she really believes that she played with integrity and honor... ROFL!

Bottom line was that we all (jury included) appreciated Jordan being herself much more than The Nasty doing so. I applaud her and am happy that she won it all.

Thanks so much to everyone for making this such a great season here at Silly Hamsters. HamsterDame we love and adore you for your insightful and witty take on our favorite show and for allowing us all to vent and comment here as well. Now will you take me to Hawaii with you? Please! ;-)

See you all next year!

I thought the new format for the final was BAD. It wasn't that there were 3 that made it to the final show, but I believe there were issues with the way they did it that made it unfair:

1. If they did the 3rd part in the 1st hour and knocked it down to 2 earlier in the show. Then, instead of having the jury minus the last member talk about all 3, they could have had Kevin go into a private room with the other jury members to talk. Not letting the final jury member talk with the others before voting is just WRONG.

2. Why couldn't they play a video of the final 3 part HOH competition for the jury? They should have had a short edited version of the competition for them to watch, heck they saw the others why not the one that decided the game? That was also WRONG.

3. To me the questions seamed like BB fed them to them. I'm not sure if they did, but why couldn't they each come up with their own question, independant of the group? This one didn't bother me as much as the other two, but I thought the questions could have been better.

Ultimately, the winner was fine. Out of the 3 HG, I wanted Jordan then Kevin. Never Gnat. I really was hoping she didn't even get 2nd. I did like how she never got to have the walk to Julie with people cheering her. Or at least I didn't notice it.

This season was OK, but there have been better. Especially, better produced ones. Hopefully, the producer has learned from her mistakes and the next one is better and the HG are held more accountable.

Way to go Jordo!!! I am so thrilled that she won. She is such a sweet girl! I know that she is not very smart, I am a teacher and I know that many times it is not something that individuals have control over. Some people just do not have it. She needed and deserved that money, good for her! I hope that she invests it wisely so she can enjoy it for a long time. Jordan and Jeff are adorable together! I so hope that they remain close. He can take care of her and she can fulfill his life being a decent honest caring person. I hope that we are able to keep up with them.
Did anyone catch the look on Jesse's face when they announced Gnat's engagement? I have to say he looked a bit shocked!
HD I have to tell you that I enjoy your posts and the comments as much as I enjoy watching the show!
You are fantastic. I swear sometimes you are reading my mind! Do the same for Amazing Race and Survivor~~~~please!!
Gotta go get the Kindergarteners!! bye bye

I loved the show last night, the new finale is so much better and I hope BB continues with the F3 together and a 2 hour finale for BB12.

Loved when Jessie said "Jordan, Hakuna Matada" when he voted for her. I think it was one of the biggest shocks of the evening. Also priceless was Jordan's expression when Ronnie told her Gnatalie's real age ("Shut Up'!)and it was interesting to learn that Michele had come to Jeff about her F2 discussions with Ruscle BEFORE Kevin came told him about the so-called overheard conversation. If only Michele had been able to reassure Jeff that the F4 alliance was still intact.

It was so exciting to see Jordan win in the end...and so right. She may not have been the brightest bulb in the BB house but she had loads of common sense and a decent heart and managed to hang on to her wits when she was faced with fighting for the money by herself. And against Gnatalie and Kevo. Especially Gnatalie, wow, that HOH get up she wore and her hateful remarks to Michele were really offensive; it will be hard to have any sympathy for her ever.

Kevin, on the other hand, I have sympathy for but like another poster here said this was his game to lose and he did. Aligning with the likes of Gnatalie came back to bite him in the azz too.

Oh, I'm so sad another season has come and gone and yes, summer is technically gone in another week so I am in withdrawal right now. Looking forward to watching all the interviews and live feeds from Vegas!!!! And then when it is truly all done I will look forward to next summer and will be right back here HD to help cheer on a new BB winner!

Some of my favorite finale moments:
1) Jordan winning part 3 of HOH. Best. Guess. EVER.
2) Jessie giving his vote to Jordan...totally unexpected, yet awesome! And the look on Natalie's face when she heard that vote.
3) Jeff laying down the smack on Lydia, Jeff joking with Julie about the Hawaii trip/Jordan winning, Jeff winning the 25 grand...hell, anything Jeff was great, he's so YUMMY!
4) NataLIE sinking into her pit of lies right in front of the jury and all of America.
5) Natalie being totally ignored when she walked out of the house because everyone was paying attention to Jordan.

Posted by: Karen at September 16, 2009 09:36 AM

I wonder if Jesse and Lydia are going to be invited to GNat-a-flea's wedding!

I so despised Jesse until last night -- now I just dislike him a little less!!!!!

Posted by: Sue at September 16, 2009 09:38 AM

Watched the whole two hours and the start we could have done without........they simply have to quit rehashing, rehashing, rehashing...we have all seen it! Disappointed nasty Nat had to win anything, but after taxes and cleaning her up for a wedding there won't be anything left will there? Guess I am happy for Jordan. Loved the girl for the first part of the season, not so much the last part. She and Jeff lost it for me when they started to treat Michele in such a cruel and unnecessary fashion. Felt somewhat bad for Kevin, he came so close and I did like him better than nasty......but that isn't saying much. If he had beaten Jordan for the half mil I wouldn't have been horribly upset. Jordan was the odds on favorite here and she was my choice, but really did she play a game, or did she put on her hokey charm and hope for the best? Would have loved to have seen Michele win, and wish her the best for the future. She looked amazing last night, and hopefully they didn't scar her to much in there. Again HD, what a fabulous job you did all season long. I love your site, it is my absolute favorite. Your humor adds so much and I usually agree totally with what you write...so of course I would love it. See you next year!

Loved the 2 hour finale. Loved Jordo winning the big bucks but HATED RataLie getting anything. By the way, powercatgirl85, our "sweet little girl" is from NORTH Carolina..

Started watching ED's interviews but just couldn't stay with it/him...waste of time IMHO..

Enjoyed the season, with some qualifications..thought the casting was horrendous and didn't like the cliques...come on CBS/AG, come up with some NEW ideas for the house.

Great job as always, HD, and all you "regulars", I look forward to all the comments each day..see ya next season!

Posted by: SuZieQ at September 16, 2009 09:43 AM

Jordan totally rocked it

Well, if lucking out in a guessing game counts as "rocking it." I give her more credit for being able to roll balls up-slope into holes, but Gnat helped out there simply by sucking it so very, very badly. Don't get me wrong; I'm happy that Jordan took the $500K over Gnat and Kevin, but Jordan's winning was simply luck on her part.

Maybe there should be competitions early on in the game in which the first person out is ejected from the game so that floaters will have less of a chance to make it to the final.

Posted by: gray at September 16, 2009 09:48 AM

IF things dont happen between Jeff and Jordo.. I nominate Jeff as the next BACHELOR. I never watch the show, but would if he was on it

Posted by: bbug at September 16, 2009 09:52 AM

The two hour finale was da bomb...loved the format. I'm thrilled that Jordan won the big money and Jeff deserved the 25k also. Hopefully we will never have to see Miss Gnat again. What a piece of work is she.
Two years in a row my favorites have won BB. WOW! Can't believe it!

Well, could Jordan have looked worse? My goodness, she wore better outfits when others were evicted. She also probably got that outfit at WalMart for $5 a week before she entered the house. And what was that "blanket" thing she put over it for the interviews? That put another 20 lbs. on her!

She won because she lucked out at the end in a crapshoot of the final HOH. She was taken to the end because she was the "dumb one who couldn't win anything" like Jerry last year.

She also won because she was the lesser of two evils. Her final statements were ridiculous--can she actually string together a sentence? She got far in the game because she "laid" under the radar--say what? More like laying under Jeff.

And, I do think Jeff will have a relationship with her as long as she is sharing the PRIZE MONEY. He has become just about as big a tool as Jessie. In the long run, Jordan will prove just a little too "dumb" for Jeff; she would be an embarrassment for him.

Time will tell.

I do hope sweet little Jordan gets some financial advice before she goes though all that money.

She said that she was going to make a down payment on a house and buy a car. I bet her car is gonna cost more than she is putting down on the house. I think she said earlier in the season that she is still paying on her boobs.

I also thought it was interesting that she is going to pay for college for two relations of hers. That could be a little or a lot depending upon where they go. Why isn't she gonna use some of the money to send herself to college?

Dixie, I don't know what your financial advice would be, but mine is to buy a house, paid in full, while the market is down. Buy a good used car, and get a degree or at least a vocational certificate. If there is any left after that, put half in the bank and blow the rest.

Hi HD,

First of all, Thank you for your great and insightful comments on the Hamsters this season. Your site makes the BB experience so much more fun.

As for the game, I am VERY happy that Natalie did not win. Out of the final three Kevin was the most deserving IMHO.

But, Jordan is a sweet girl and she did win those final two HOHs that really mattered.

I am happy for Jordan and BB that Natalie did not win. If she had won I would have been really pi$$ed!

One could sense that America was rooting for Jordan judging by the clapping every time Jordan scored a point in those final two HOHs.

Jeff/Jordan are a classic American couple. They look great together and seem to have a lot of fun too. Good for them.

Jeff winning America's favorite player was a no-brainer even though I was a little disappointed with him over his gameplay when he was HOH.

The Final 3 in the finale concept was a refreshing change and I hope it continues next season.

I had not been watching BB for the past week because of Natalie's HOH reign but All's well that ends well.

It has been a mixed season, But at-least a mean person did not win BB as was the case with BB6. (I hate Maggie.)

Anyway, once again dear HD, thank you for your coverage. You are a super-gal. :)

Hoping to converse with you more next season.

Peace, you all. It was a blast knowing all of you this summer....

Posted by: luthor1 at September 16, 2009 10:25 AM

As a Kevin rooter, I must admit that Jordan was deserving in the end. Great new format should be kept for BB12. The last couple weeks in former BBs
were always boring. Particularly BBAD. Sorry, Kevin. Good job, Jordan. Natalie - hope you have a life, but doubt it will happen. You have maybe $30,000 or so after taxes. Spend it on deep therapy.

HD, I just wanted to thank you for your great commentaries and live bloggings of this season. You are the my first and last source for what's going on in the house. You bring me up when I'm down and down when I up. You're great.

Congrats, Jordan!!! Although, I would have thought that chest bump would have earned you Russell's vote. I guess you can't please some people.

Waiting for next season

IF things dont happen between Jeff and Jordo...

then he should get into gay porn. Both Crazy James and Braden already have experience, so a cast of Jeff, Crazy James, Jessie, and Braden should be a money maker. Of course, of the four, I think only Jeff and Braden would have to hold their noses and act, as opposed to doing what comes naturally.

Posted by: gray at September 16, 2009 10:33 AM

Best thing about BB ending is people being all pathetic over the Jeff-Jordan showmance. People act like they will drop what their doing to know how Jeff and Jordan are doing after the show, Give me a break. As I said in a previous post the ONLY reason Jordan won is because Lydia is so jealous of Natalie and ONLY reason Jessie voted for Jordan is because Natalie got engaged. Look at Jessie's face after he heard about Natalie's engagement he was heart broken so he voted for Jordan. Jordan said people don't vote personally but what do you call Jordan getting 1 vote? People didn't want Natalie to win so it was person. Natalie played the best overall game. She lied so what name me a house guest that never lied before and ill show you one that didn't come in Final 2. Look at Dan last year he swore on bible and his Girlfiend and lied that's worse then anything Natalie lied about.

Posted by: Tim at September 16, 2009 10:54 AM

Fantastic changes to the finale format.

1. 2 hours instead of 1. Did not feel too long, whereas 1 hour seemed rushed.

2. Drama! Kevin didn't really expect to get the boot. He was crushed. Cried or choked back tears the whole time, especially with Julie. It was excellent TV.

3. Tension! Jordan didn't really think she had the votes either way. But we knew she did.

4. Confrontation! Ronnie vs. NataLIE. Ronnie vs. Michelle.

5. Unexpected! Russell voting for NataLIE? I guess he represented those who voted "strategically"...bleah!

6. Julie was terrific. I'm not one to gush, but she really, really does a good job, and seems to get better every year. She stuck it to more than a few houseguests (Braden, who looked like he was drunk or on drugs last night) and stuck it to Jessie but good. Well done.

7. There were some real favourites. I thought, after Kaysar and his crew, I'd never really like, I mean genuinely like, a hamster as much as I did then. Michele, Jordan and Jeff were terrific. Russell added a lot of fuel to the fire too.

I am most sad about Michele. She was horribly picked on and for no good reason, although she acknowledged NataLIE's hate was strategy and may have been effective. I think they were afraid or intimidated by that girl.

Lastly, Jeff was amazing. I would be surprised if he didn't continue in the media somehow. He showed he was streetsmart from his repartee with Russell, and not afraid to back down to a fight, but didn't fight when it wasn't necessary, talked people down when needed (i.e. Lydia) and was witty but not vindictive. His comment to Lydia in the jury house: "I don't need a high five for calling a guy down" showed he's got class, even when his humour went over the edge.

He was selected the favourite player for good reason; I personally wish Michele would have won that, but I am very happy most everyone came away with some prizes this season. Russell and Kevin took $10K each, Jeff 25K, Jordo the big prize and the others got some smaller gifts...plus the gift of 15 minutes of fame.

A good season, overall! It threatened to be very boring with Jessie's crew dominating, and the Coup changed all that...for the better!

Well done...thanks for the blog HD...great forum!!!

I am so happy Jordan won. She made a great point when she said she won the final 2 part HOH on her own. I think in the end she made the right choice of taking Nat to the end, even though I did not want Nat to win a thing. I was shocked that Jessie voted for Jordan, she looked shocked too. It was nice to see someone who did not cheat win BB. I love the new format of the finale. I hope they keep it next year.
I loved it when Julie gave Jessie the definition of Platonic. That was just great. Also Michelle showed alot of class again by forgiving Ronnie. I really wished she won AC. I knew Jeff would though. It was a crazy season. Thanks again HD. Your blog is the best.

congrats to jordan... felt sorry kevin didnt get 2nd but jordo made right choice... gnataLIE got her just deserts...only winning 1 HOH and throwing her teamates under the bus came back to bite her BIG TIME.... go make a sandwich for jessie ms pitbull lol

"put a down payment on a house for me, my Mom and my brother"

That worries me. Down-payment equals mortgage equals payments equals foreclosure.

Jordan, I live in South Charlotte (about a mile from Matthews) and you can buy (fully paid for) the five bedroom 2-car garage house down the street from me for $265,000 and never pay rent or mortgage again.

Posted by: EricInCLT at September 16, 2009 11:39 AM

I have no problem with Jordan, but I really do not think she deserved to win. She played no game whatsoever, and really had to think about what her strategy had been when asked last night. Probably because she had none. She just wandered about the house and then hooked up with Jeff. Her "Aw Shucks" demeaner was pleasant at the beginning of the game, but really grated on me after a while.

Several of my friends did not think she deserved to win either, but they voted for her because they disliked Natalie so much.

I would have liked to see Kevin win, or at least come in second. I felt really sorry for him last night because the new format left him kinda in limbo. He seemed totally confused, and rightly so.

I do like the three HG in the finale. But I think the show could have been so much better. Take the first hour for the HOH comp.(and do it right at the beginning instead of stressing out the HG for such a long time). Then the eviction, jury questions and vote. Second hour, evicted HG's and a lot more of what really happened in the house. It was very scant last night and I was really looking forward to some eye-openers for the HG and a lot of discussion. Even with the LML, the clips they showed did not mention Kevin telling Jeff that Russell intended to evict him (and that was really what set Jeff off more than anything). Basically they just showed the lie as being final 2.

Anyhow. It is over for another year. I have had seasons where I was not impressed with the winner, so congrats to Jordan.

And really, how can the jury members know who has played the best game? Some of them are sequestered for weeks before the finale. All they hear is what is told to them (and biased info a lot of the time). I dont know. Should America vote to evict each week? Then again, those who only see the TV show, see the BB edited version - so that probably wouldn't be fair. It's a head scratcher.

Hey gray...GREAT advice to Jordan. Wish you had been there to give me advice when I unexpectedly was left a wad of $$$. I might still have some.

Some other random thoughts:

Jeff will be famous someday...he has that charisma thing...

Natalie and whats-his-name don't have a chance in hell of any kind of successful marriage...

Think this show will help Michele in the long run...don't think all that bullying will hurt her...Good luck Michele!

In case I post no more this season...HD and all my favorite posters: have a wonderful BB-less season!

Posted by: bardy at September 16, 2009 12:20 PM

Don't think in all the BB seasons has there been such an overwhelming happiness from not just here but all over the other sites for Jordon winning BB11. Having said that the rest is short. Happy myself. Bring back same format for final week next year. Loved the Whole 2 hour show. Thank you, HD

What? Braeden did some gay porn? Well heck Gray, could you e-mail me the link or send me via 1 day fedex delivery, a copy of whatever it was you watched? :) (tee hee)

I loved the finale. Just wish they'd gotten to the award earlier and spent the rest of the time chatting with the the houseguests and their relatives. And that they'd put Jeff and Jordan on the spot to give us that Hollywood kiss. Julie asks good questions and more would have been great.

As one of the people who actually remained loyal to Jeff and Jordan (well, 100% to Jeff and about 87.493% to Jordan) the whole season, and didn't just want Jordan to win just to beat Natalie, I am absolutely delighted that Jorff came out on top. I only wish that Russell and Michele could have made off with a little something in the game as well. The four were my favorites this year, and rank with my favorites from all seasons (let me be annoying and list them: Eddie McGee, Hardy Hill, Lisa Donahue, Jun Song, Will Winkle, James Rhine, Nick Starcevik, Dani Donato, Steven Daigle, Dan Gheesling and Keesha Smith). I wish them all well and hope to see them again someday (perhaps in Allstars) (Although it is pretty clear that Jordan has zero aspirations of an extraordinary nature). I would love to see Michele and Russell both do Survivor. (Don't think Jordan and Jeff would make it on that.) I also wouldn't mind seeing Michele and Russell as a team on Amazing Race. They would be kick-A##! I'm glad that Michele actually found a friend in Russell and recognized what a sweetheart he actually is. And that Russell ended up really liking Michele. Their relationship, for me, is as endearing as Jeff and Jordan's.

I also love that in Michele's interview, she said of Ronnie... "apologies can only go so far." (or something like that). Ronnie tried to be endearing and sweethearty last night. But ya didn't fool me Ronnie the Rat!

And about Natalie -- when the game started she was my instinctive pick as the person who would win this game. I'm glad she didn't. But I can honestly now admit, as the rest of us should be able to admit, that Biznatch played a pretty dang good manipulative game and was the real puppetmaster; not Jessie. Her downfall was not being quite as smart as she thought she was, as well as not knowing when to shut up. (I could take my own advice right now I know.) If Natalie had had an ounce of Danielle in her or a dash of Libra, she'd have come out on top.

To those darlings of the chat room, Gregor and Fauxmo... "No Booger!"

To Football Mom: Promise you will never wear those Nat gym shorts again. Burn them now.

Sleepy: Get some sleep! :)

Kickin-It: Yo, did you survive Jordan's win?

And to HD: Girl -- You are Guccie! (Yeh, you're Gucci too.)

how can the season be over?

i have to say i was so shocked that jordan won the final HOH but i was happy too. when she chose gnat for the final at 1st i thought it was a wrong choice but then realized she would not have won against kevin.

loved the 2 hour show but i was under the impression that the last hour was going to be like the finale on survivor. i was so wrong! LOL

I dont think they need to do 10 minutes of re-capping the show. it drives me crazy

yada yada yada, glad jordan won, glad jeff won, wish we could do something for michelle.

hd, not to sound like a broken record but thanks so much for this site & all the hard work you do.

BenF

There are some full nudial frontity shots of Braden from a gay cable channel at the OddandStupid.com link. There is no evidence of hard-core there, but at least he has his foot in the door. Jeff wants to be a model, from what I read somewhere, and he has an agent, so if things don't work out...I'm just sayin'. As for Jessie, that might be his best option, as he is sure to be rejected by pro wrestling, and I think he would be a natural.

Last night's show was great. All of us in the audience were buzzing the entire time, even during the initial re-hash that we all could have done with less of. We had to stifle our reactions in certain parts mainly to not tip off the jury or the F2 when Julie was live with them, but sometimes we just couldn't hold it in! I was wondering if you could hear our gasps or groans or claps, and I guess you did!!

To give you an idea of perspective of the show from an audience member, I was up in the second to top row of seats on the left side of Julie as you see her on camera, next to a red-haired woman with a sign "Natalie is #1"! Yeah, I know -- she didn't want that sign and I didn't want to be sitting next to it either, but that was all that was left and it helped get us seen ;-) You can see us about 40 minutes into the first hour, top center of screen. I'm the greyish haired guy with silver glasses. But I digress...

After the re-hash videos, we were all excited when Julie first talked to the remaining HGs. As Pt 3 comp started, we gasped and cringed with each set of answers. Frankly, I kept thinking Jordan was getting it all wrong and sometimes she was RIGHT! Yep, Kevin got too flustered and it was his game to lose and he blew it big time! Too bad, as I would have liked him to be in F2 instead of Gnat. That would have meant him winning and Jordan getting $50K, but that would have been ok too. Jordan guessed and so did Kevin, she just lucked out. So be it, but that works for me!

It was fantastic to see the jury questions live and unedited. Julie said that the questions were discussed prior to the show, so you know the producers likely helped edit them to key ones. Still, they did the job more or less. It was great to see Gnat squirm and continue to lie (yep, that's when we were groaning in the audience wondering and amazed she was still at it!!) and therefore dig herself a losing grave.

The comments from the evicted non-jurors was interesting. Ronnie with his 'square root of evil' t-shirt. How dorky can you get?!! Casey looked great in his outfit and Laura had on amazing shoes! OK, too much Project Runway for me? But they WERE great shoes. Braden was Braden.

Speaking of Braden, could he suck up to Jessie any more than he did? He may have been talking about Jessie's command 'of the ladies' but me-thinks he was the perfect adorer of narcissistic Jessie. Get a room!!

I was sorry Kevin didn't get any big prize money, but he did leave with $10K and clothes and he really had nice comments about the whole experience and enjoyed the opportunity. His boyfriend is a hottie in person, BTW. I heard they were not 'out' to his BF's parents, even after 9 years, and that is a real shame that it took until now to deal with their relationship. Well, that ship has sailed now for sure!! I wish them well!

I agree that it would have been better to get Pt 3 HOH done in first half hour and get right to jury questions and the rest, then spend at least a half hour with a 'reunion' type impressions and Q&A with the HGs. Maybe next year?!!

Fun factoid: Jordan was recruited. A woman sitting next to me in line while waiting to go into the show was a talent scout for another show and knows one of the persons who did recruiting for BB. Jordan was found waitressing, as most of us know, and she had no idea what BB was about or ever seen it. She was reluctant to do the show apparently, but obviously was convinced otherwise. Funny that someone with no understanding or awareness of the game ends up winning it, eh?!! I think that has happened a few times in past seasons. It would be nice to have a way to actually reward the strong game players instead of having them be targeted and almost guaranteed to be evicted.

We weren't allowed to attend the afterparty to meet the HGs, which was a bummer. I tried to watch ED's interviews and quickly grew tired of him and the bland chat.

Well, enough initial thoughts about the show! It will be missed, as will chatting about it here! Looking forward to the RealPass feeds from Las Vegas in a few days.

HD, great job and thanks to all the other posters. Great fun!

From HD - That sounds like a blast Richard! Thank you so much for telling us all about the behind the scenes action last night. You're letting all of us live a little through you and that rocks!

Posted by: Richard at September 16, 2009 01:34 PM

The first question Jukie should have asked Kevin was "Kevin, if you had won that HOH, who would you have evicted?"
I cannot believe she didn't ask that! (even though in diary he said he would take Jordan). But, I wanted to know for sure! Because, I didn't want Natalie to win 50 cents! Even though I like Jordan, I'd rather have her win $50K than I have Natalie win a penny!
That's why I was kind of rooting for Kevin to win that live HOH competition last night...so he would possibly take Jordan to the finals, and leave Natalie BROKE!
I'm more anti-Natalie than pro-Jordan.

I've been a Jordan fan from the beginning but she lost a little shine when she let Jeff change her mind about voting Lydia over Nat when she was HOH. I also think that if given the chance she could have won the HOH that Jeff said he gave her. She beat 5 other people and she may very well have beat him also. She was a fountain of info to who ever asked (while watching the feeds there were more than a few times I wished I could put my hand over her mouth to keep her quiet)that might have been a great ruse. Keep the girl, she tells us everything we need to know. I was sooo happy when she won the last comp. I was a little worried when she didn't get the Jeff question right. I thought it was the easiest, but she pulled it off. I don't think she'll blow the money. She seems pretty down to earth. I bet she won't buy a Bentley! or what did Dick say he did with his winnings??? oh yah he didn't say.
I was happy about Ronnie and Michelle. I love Julie asking the questions we wanted asked, but would have liked to see the "green room lie" exposed, calling out Jessie and Nat again for the biggest lie (in my opinion) that started many of the fights... it put doubts in everyones mind about the honesty of Michelle. I wish she had won something for all the abuse she took. Wow she was a trooper. Disappointed in Russ's vote, surprised at Lydia, and Jessie's.
Jordan did a great job of Nat's make over... who knew...take off the oversized basketball shorts, Kevin's hoodie (which by the way I hope he stole back from her for the last time) and some heels instead of Jessie's slippers and she turns into a girl...just don't walk or talk. I'm a bit sad she won anything but Jordan didn't have a chance with Kevin "so good on you Jordan!" best move of the season for you.
Loved the new format for the ending, both the 3 HG and the 2 hours but agree that it would be fun to see the HG get to chat at the end like Survivor...maybe audience questions. Over all good season, but I'm sad it's over.. Will miss reading all the comments...can't you do Survivor also?
Love the blog HD and all the bloggers!
Congrats Jordan!
p.s. Dick's interviews.... really...did they seemed to be more about him than anything else?

Posted by: gail at September 16, 2009 01:44 PM

Ok. Thank you for the site. Your updates and comments are always welcome for someone who does not have a lot of time to follow everything so closely.

I have been upset since Kevin evicted Jeff after he (Kevin) was saved by Jeff. Sure, a lie is a lie in BB, but strategy and lying are not the same thing.

I am extremely happy that Jordan won. She deserved it more than Gnat. Although they both got far in the game by riding the streaks of others, Gnat won fewer competitions and even let Kevin take part 1 of the final HOH thinking she could continue to ride someone else's win. She broke the cardinal rule of BB...don't take anything for granted.

I am torn between the old and new format. I like the fact that the last houseguest is in the jury house to sway opinion, but as someone said, watching the final two do nothing is also boring. Kevin did handle the eviction and immediate vote pretty well though.

Russell and Michelle were the only ones who made sense during the last discussion. The vote was no surprise at all.

And, with as paranoid as Russell was at the end of his stay, I am not sure he would have kept his word to Jeff. I think Russell and Michelle would have tried to get Jeff or Jordan out if not the next week, the week following.

Jeff's only mistake? Not giving me a chance to talk to Jordan!

Posted by: Erik at September 16, 2009 01:48 PM

One other thing about Gnat. The entire audience (OK, maybe not her family and boyfriend) were amazed during the post-show interview with Gnat and Kevin along with J/J, that Gnat kept 'gaming', throwing people under the bus, claiming she was true and honest (BLEAH!) and trying to get BB to pay for her wedding! Good for Julie to shut that down!!

From HD - Yeah, I couldn't believe the nerve of Natalie on CBS paying for her wedding. And is it just me or did it look like Jason wanted to cry?

Posted by: Richard at September 16, 2009 02:04 PM

I LOVE that Jordan won! She seems like she is guininely a nice and real person! I will say that I really like Jeff and Kevin's game play. It is nice to see people get further in the game that kept their cool, this season was great for that! I am glad that Julie told Natalie that her wedding proposal reaction was "weird"! I agree, maybe her fiance should start questioning if he has been lying to him too!

Posted by: fitgurl at September 16, 2009 02:21 PM

Seriously Jordan was recruited by BB? It just burns me that these shows get thousands and thousands of applicants and they have to comb the bars and malls for participants. Give the people who really put forth the effort a chance. I'm pretty sure they'd find plenty of tata's and muscle men amongst the piles of videos. I'd love to know the number of contestants that are recruited vs. those that actually applied.

Posted by: cindy at September 16, 2009 02:33 PM

Jesse voted for Jordan because he was terribly upset that Natalie got engaged. He felt she was in love with him

Posted by: gman at September 16, 2009 03:12 PM

For the Record Natalie did NOT backstab anyone in her own alliance. I'm not saying she should have won. Jordan beat her fair and square in the last HOH comp and then went on to beat Kevin fair and square and in my book you can never grudge the winner of the last comp if they win the game. I think Nat might have played a better game in my book (but I'm a big fan of the lying manipulative sort, tho I don't like the mean bad guys that just yell at everyone you know the tough guys (cappy russell ect...)

I loved the last episodes format except I wish it started at 8 as I have to be at work at 4 in the morning. Also I hate the crappy flash back episodes like on sunday. They recap a zillion times throughout the season. (nearly ten minutes to start the last episode off for that matter) plus the discuss events afterwards and we can watch full episodes and clips on the internet. (live on demand with netflix). so can we do away with that episode? I would have loved to just have the finally on Sunday. Why make us wait an extra two days?

Besides that I know a lot of people have complained that this season has been so lowsy compared to previous years but I loved it for the most part. You had grate villains and apparently great heroes (I didn't much care for Jeff and Jordan though apparently everyone else in the world did). And the best finally ever. I'm just sayin.

Posted by: Jeremy at September 16, 2009 03:36 PM

Luckily it all worked out for Jordan, but I feel a bit bad for Kevin. He played the best game of the 3. A lot of people think Jeff will show up on television again, maybe a reality show? But I don't think he's going to do anything really big. I actually think Kevin could do something in the media but that Jeff is a little past his prime for breaking into the biz. I love Kevin's pouty little face, well come to think of it Jeff could be the gardner on Desperate Housewives. :) So I guess I'm on the fence.

Didn't know Lydia's magic unicorn daeyumyum has his own twitter.
Wonder why no wrap party this year. Heard though they had an unofficial one at Boogie's Place and yes Chima showed up.

Posted by: Cerenay at September 16, 2009 03:59 PM

Jordan thought through the tie breaker and she must have missed one the tie votes. You just don't guess that close. To those that say Jordan didn't deserve to win. She was Jeff's advisor and his sounding board. Had Jeff listend to her more he might have won. She mentioned in her q&a with the jury that part of her game play was to act clueless so that she wouldb't be a considered a threat.
It was obvious that she understood that there are many ways to win this game. It is too bad that people like Evil Dick and Dr. Will get all the prase and that people like Jordan and Dan don't.

The new format could use a little tweak here and there but it works. It makes that Last Hoh critical.

My favorite line of the evening was Lydia when she was voting, "I've always loved a good blond." telling Jordan who she had just voted for.

Jordan thought through the tie breaker and she must have missed one the tie votes. You just don't guess that close.

It was a guess. A very lucky guess, but a guess nonetheless. She suspected that 100 was too high, so she just split the middle. I did the same thing watching last night and added one so that I would not match other guessers. I got it exactly right, by accident, but it was still just a guess. My wife thought that I was a genius.

because you asked...The best financial advice is pay yourself first. In other words, before buying a house, a car and paying for college for yourself or others, put some of that money away and let it grow for the next 40-years. You can't go back and "unbuy".

and even though you didn't ask... I keep reading "Jordan didn't deserve to win" or "Jordan didn't play the game".. I know many of you may disagree with what I'm going to say but, laying low IS a strategy.

I think Jeff said it best when the jury was talking about having respect for the players that played hard and won comps etc... "these 3 aren't those players"...

Jordan wouldn't have had a chance playing the hard player strategy... but she played an excellent "nice person" strategy... which has worked in the past for other players (Lisa). She did turn it up a notch when she had to with the F3... that's a strategy too. So her strategy may not be my strategy... but I can guarantee that I would fail miserably at the "nice Person" strategy... how about you?

Jordan, do not buy a $250,000 house when you're income won't support paying the taxes, insurance and maintenance. Find a small cozy cottage and save some money. Get a nice used late model car and pay cash for that. Don't pay for anybody's college education except your own. Put some cash away for a rainy day.

and Jordan... if Jeff takes you to Hawaii... you don't have to booger unless you want to!

Richard, thanks for your detailed post and it's good to put a face with a name.

The 2-hour finale was hands down the best ever because of the new format not to be confused with what I still think was the 2nd worst BB season (next to season 9).

Loved how Ronnie outted Nat's real age and how surprised J and K were. Though Jordan did her regular share of rambling during the questions, she answered them well so that everyone would see that she won comps when it counted most. Great that Julie put Jesse in a precarious position and called him out on the sex with Lydia in front of everyone - priceless!

So, our guilty pleasure is over for another year, but at least we have another season to look forward to. Now that AG is on a total high from having the best season ratings to date, something tells me BB12 is gonna be bigger and better than ever - can't wait.

From the start of the season I thought J has no chance in hell of getting to the finals and taking it all. I doubt there was many who thought she could, if any. This just goes to show anyone can win the game - not just the liars, bullies, and strong players, because while her game play wasn't strong, she was the mouse who stole the cheese when no one thought she could.

I watched many of the interviews already and found Nat to be bitter with Jessie and not coming in first. I was once again disgusted with the most hated player pitching to CBS to put her wedding on TV - like they'd even give it half a second thought. Watching the interviews, it's clear Nat speaks and carries on outside the house the same way she exposed herself on the show. How sad!!

I really hope that Ronnie, Nat and Jesse are never asked back to BB in any capacity. I really dislike all of them, but I will give props to Ronnie for his apology to Michele which I knew he'd do anyway after seeing footage.

I don't see Jeff and Jordan hooking up after this for any length of time.

Great job HD for all your work. It's fun to come here and read up on things and see what our CyberSpace friends have to say.

Deb

I truly believe that CBS changed the format to final 3 going to the last night because they KNEW that if Kevin and Natalie were the last two, there would be no one watching the final show.

I hope the positive feedback they are getting on the new format will convince them to do it again even if the finalists were likeable.

someone commented (see quote below) on my earlier comment re: Jordan deserving to win...

'Well, if lucking out in a guessing game counts as "rocking it." I give her more credit for being able to roll balls up-slope into holes...'

Not only do I not think she simply lucked out (I think she at least gave the numbers a moment's thought), but many more BB comps have been won with a far greater gap between the correct answer & the houseguest's guess, and it isn't something everyone makes a big fuss over then - a win's a win, right.
But more than that, the comment I made about Jordan 'rocking it' wasn't just about that one comp. She won EVERYTHING at the end that she NEEDED to, including a large majority of the final votes; so whether you think she "lucked out" on the '50' answer or not is kind of moot.

And can you even BELIEVE Natalie with that "CBS/wedding" thing!?! What the hell is wrong with that chick?!? If I were Jason I think I would have poked my eyes out last night!

Looking forward to more interviews, behind the scenes footage, and the wonderful gag reel! Thanks for everything HD!!! :-)

Posted by: Lisa at September 16, 2009 06:03 PM

I came up with about 50 myself in that amount of time. 9 houseguests had been evicted (13 minus three on stage minus Chima). Starting out with 10 votes, ending with 1. So, average of 5. Add in a few HoH tiebreak votes, and there you go. Probably would have undershot a bit intentionally.

Be damned if I could have done it with that much pressure, though.

Loved loved loved Julie this season! Am so happy that she continued to call Nat out in the post interview. Go her for making her apologize to her boyfriend for the awkward proposal. You can tell she'll be a good mom. Thanks for the video posts HD (and for all the great posts each season). Much easier to find the interviews here than to have to poke around online for them.

Posted by: lys at September 16, 2009 07:43 PM

HD, awesome job on the 2 HOUR live blog!!! And frankly the whole season. You put a lot of work into what gives so many of us a wonderful place to vent and play through the BB experience.

Very happy that Jordan won!!! Would have preferred Gnat to walk away empty handed but, Jordan selected the best one for her game. Most of the time I was amazed that someone could be as dumb as Jordan, but then there were glimmer's and hints. The biggest hint that I remember is several times she would tell Jeff, you need to play this game for yourself, not me or the two of us. But did I think she would pull it off, nope.

Watched the videos, can't believe that Gnat was pitching the wedding idea. NOBODY would want to watch that trainwreck. And Jason really needs to get a clue. The gal can't tell the truth if her life depended on it, still spins crap, even when the game is dun (oops, wrong gnat.)

Richard - will have to watch the show again to pick you out of the crowd. Thanks for the first hand recaps you shared with us!

BenF - just about to take your advice and snooze. ;) But, will be in Survivor and TAR chats for sure.

Everyone -Ya'all come back next year for BB12. Seriously, enjoy reading what everyone has to say, and so many chuckles along the way. Huge thank you to all. Stop in at chat - we have lots of fun in there! See some of you in there tomorrow!

Posted by: Sleepyeye at September 16, 2009 08:33 PM

Thanks HD - you're the best.

Loved when Jeff told Lydia talking to her was "like talking to a road cone" and about Nasty "Just for that outfit, no vote."

Hey Nasty - how did you like that slap in the face from Jesse not voting for you? And what you did when Laura was talking showed how jealous of her you are, not to mention your immaturity. Disgusting that you won any money.

What possessed Jordo to wear those shorts that she had to keep pulling down? Between that, her hair thing, and her saying, "you know" (a million times) and "laying under the radar." Yikes. Someone please tell her it's FLYING under the radar.

No way was Kevin going to win... Jesse would never have voted for him. When Kevin came out to join the group, everyone except Jesse, hugged him. Jesse was anti-Kevin and anti-Laura. Jordo would have won 4-3 (Jeff, Michelle, Jesse, and America's vote).

Disappointed Michelle didn't win the $25,000.

HEY HD,
Thanks for another great season. Can't wait for season 12.

Go Team JORDAN

Hey guys! I was watching that clip of Gnat and she said she left Jessie a nasty goodbye message. Does anyone remember if that is true? I think she is lying through her ass still. Great show last night. Can't wait until next season so I can come to this blog and be with my cyber friends:). Love ya all!

Posted by: xtex88 at September 16, 2009 10:25 PM

Wow...an amazing ending to the show. I just wish it could continue into the fall. I'm so glad Jordan won.

As I was waiting for her post-victory interview with Ross Matthews to be posted, I watched her pre-interview, and it was so prescient. Not only had she never had seen BB before, she didn't even have internet access or an email account...she was just a perky girl that was discovered by someone in casting and they knew they found a gem. That's the key to casting...it's not about finding people with great knowledge of the show, it's about finding incredible personalities. And this year they hit a home run with Jordan!!!!!!

Congrats to Jordo, congrats to the casting department, and congrats to you HD for providing this outlet for all of us to spill our guts on.

I loved the show this year and will miss it. And as for this site, from HD's posts to everyone's comments, you're all a reason why it was so much fun for me. Until next year.....

XOXO
Eli

HD, your blog made me interested in this rather boring season. Thanks for all your work and for keeping things hopping.

I wasn't happy to see Jordan win, but I guess she was the best of the bad choices. I hope that girl somehow gets an education because her ignorance and naivete is beyond belief. Maybe the half a mil can get her a tutor so she can go to college - nah! That'll never happen.

Bye to all you fans and see you next BB!

Posted by: nanette at September 17, 2009 06:52 AM

I think Jordan showed alot of us she was a little more intelligent than we believed. She did dump Kevin and won the money. Not only that but she proved that someone honest and lacking common sense can win! Love you HD!

Posted by: laura at September 17, 2009 11:34 AM

Dear Laura, Are you serious or what? You said that Jordan was more intelligent than we all thought.
I wanted Jordan to win BB but don't insult us by saying she was smart. In the history of t.v. dating back to the late forties, I have never seen anyone, and I mean anyone, as dumb as Jordan. That being said, she is a wonderful girl and the sweetest person one can imagine.

Posted by: gman at September 21, 2009 07:29 AM

Jordan definitely got lucky in guessing "50" to beat Kevin. And the only reason she got the votes is because Lydia was going to vote the same way as Jessie, who decided to be a scumbag and not vote for Natalie. I am in no way a Natalie fan (I wanted Kev to win), but Jordan didn't have a larger impact on the overall game as Natalie. Natalie shot herself in the foot with the senseless age lie and demonizing Michelle. imo

Posted by: drew at September 21, 2009 07:31 AM

It doesn't matter if Jordan made an intelligent move at the end of the season. To me, she is the weakest big brother winner of all seasons. She doesn't deserve to be in the same circle as Will, Dan, etc.

She did not deserve to win nor Natalie.

I am a big fan Of Jordan. This was truly a blessing i felt that jordan though by not deed was truly an inspiration how she handled herself in the house. It's amazing that probably the nicest person in the house could win a game like BB.
