Less Than Two Days
I don't know about you but I'm getting more and more excited about Big Brother 11 as the hours pass. It feels like forever since we witnessed Dan become the winner of Big Brother 10 hasn't it?
If you're anything like me, you've had friends and family come up to you in the past few weeks asking about Big Brother because they know you're the one to go to for the information. When's it going to start? Who are the houseguests? What time does it start? What channel is it on again? Don't laugh, we all know that person. Perhaps you even were that person a season or two ago. If you were, we now welcome you to the dark side!
Maybe they're asking because they want to watch this season. Or they're wondering if there are any hot guys or gals on the show. They could also be asking you so that they'll know when to leave you alone during the week. Hehe! But whenever you get these questions, all you can do is smile really big and tell them everything you know. Personally, I have this glazed look that comes over my eyes and I start talking about everything non-stop like a maniac. I should probably work on not scaring them off!
How many of you have taken Friday off so that you could stay up all night and wait for the feeds to come on Thursday evening? Did any of you even take the next week off so that you could enjoy getting to know the new hamsters even better? I'm sure there are more than a few of you out there.
So let's go over a few things in case you've forgotten how things work or if you're new to the Big Brother scene. The Big Brother feeds won't begin streaming footage from within the house until after the show is over on the west coast this Thursday. That's a bummer if you're living on the east coast but they do it so that everybody can begin watching at the same time. Remember, the live feeds are LIVE no matter where you're at. It's all about the Pacific time zone when it comes to Big Brother. You'll even see it referred to as 'Big Brother time'. By the way, all of the posts here on Silly Hamsters are on 'Big Brother time' even though I live in Texas (Central time zone).
Silly Hamsters is going to be full of spoilers all season long. I post about things going on in the house (and my views on them) as quickly as I can after they've happened. If you're looking for a spoiler-free site to read until the next Big Brother episode Silly Hamsters is not the place for you. That actually goes for most Big Brother sites out there. So if you've always been just a fan of the TV show, what you should really do is sign up for the live feeds!
Now for those of you who are already signed up (like I am!), you may have been hearing some talk about the feeds being on already. It's true but not really. Real Networks does have the feeds up but they're streaming things like NASA TV and C-Span until it's time to turn on the video streams within the house. It gives all of us subscribers a chance to get everything set up so that we don't miss a thing.
If you want to test out your live feeds and make sure you're all set, I've updated my sidebar over there (psst... on the right) with the live feed direct links. That's where they'll be all season long if you ever need them. And remember me telling you about how you can see one of the main feeds while watching the others at the same time? You're going to want to make sure you test out that Feed+Bar link! I do believe you will be pleasantly surprised at what Real Networks has done with that. If you need to copy and paste those links to insert into RealPlayer, just right click over one of them and choose 'Copy link address' or whatever is appropriate to your specific browser and then paste where needed.
Tomorrow, I'm going to let you in on a little change I have in store for all of you on show nights here on Silly Hamsters. I will also tell you about a few other things that I want to make sure you're aware of.
So, is everybody ready? What do you think about the Feed + Bar feature? Have you signed up for the feeds? If you haven't, you only have one more day to save big! And wouldn't you rather get three months of Big Brother for $29.99 rather than $39.99? Of course you do! So do that here!

I was just checking in again this evening and Real Networks must have finally updated there site because I now have access to all the live cams and the entire Big Brother Tab has changed.
Actually it took me a while just to find your site again.
anyway I do like all the changes they have made and am looking forward to the upcoming season.

I am so excited about it starting on Thursday. My son said to me last night geesh are you on big brother already it didn't even start yet. LOL What does he know. My week off doesn't start till the 15th, but I will be feeding during that time. LOL. I am working Friday morning but I will still be up way too late. haha That is what Starbucks is for.

HD -This is going to be fun. Nice of you to let the "newbies" understand how your site operates. Also, checked on my feeds and also used your side bar links - pretty slick - thanks!
Loving seeing so many of the old familiar faces back for another interesting season of exchanges. Missing one in particular that starts with a "g" and ends with a "g" - prayers and hugs to you. Hopefully we will hear from you soon.
But..... BB gods please, please, please no jessie - couldn't even capitalize his name.. just couldn't. But don't want the big She either. Brian would be excellent, but for some reason don't see that in the cards. We'll see.

I just watched a clip of JC from today and in it she said that if a member of your clique becomes HOH, then the rest of the clique is safe from being put up for eviction. Haven't heard that before and makes things really interesting. Wonder if that also stays true if POV is used? This season just gets more and more interesting!
I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa! Let the games begin! Also can't wait to see drats, Andrew, sleepyeye, Kimberly, claypo, grey and a few seasoned voyeurs come out to play!

I've been watching the feeds and reading Silly Hamsters for years now, but never posted.
I retired last year, so now I have the time to get into the game without the guilt. I look forward to adding my $.02 worth to the discussions here.

Good Greif!!! Almost had a heart attack this morning when I came back to check on what tidbits HD had and the entire BB site had changed!!!! Have the 4 cams showing but had a terrible time finding 'Silly Hamsters'!!!! :~(

I am SO excited and I have followed your site for years, but, have also just started to post. I REALLY love your site. I have been checking some of the other sites, but the speculation is so much it started making my eyes cross and my head spin. I'm sticking with silly hamsters!!
Anyway, want to hear something funny? For years, my husband has "complained" to all our friends that his wife is so addicted to big brother he loses control of the TV for 3 days a week and she spends countless hours on the computer.... I've always said that he doesn't seem to move off his hiney while I'm watching and he often sticks his head into the study saying, "So, what's happening?". Anyway, yesterday, he confirmed what I have been suspecting for a very long time... He is Mr. Hamsterwatcher! He called and had showtime added to our cable. Said it was only an extra $5... but he wanted to be able to watch BBAD this season! He totally outed himself!!
I wasn't able to take off on Friday (too many people off already this week). And couldn't take off next week as we are going on a cruise on Aug 2nd. I did; however, take off last season to watch Ollie freak out after the infamous POV ceremony and boy was that worth it!! I'm reasonably sure it will happen again...
Wonder if I'll be able to get CBS on the boat??? If not, there's always the trusty DVR (and silly hamsters)...

Hey there HD! This is Jason and Ryan here and we're ready to go! I'm thinking the new "twists" and such in the house are going to be a good thing. I hope that stays true. Sometimes we all want BB to go back to pure BB but this one sounds like it could be great.
