Graduation Time

The show went as expected tonight. Casey was evicted by a vote of 7-1 (Russell cast the hinky vote). Julie told them that the cliques are over. There was also a cute segment about Jeff and Jordan's 'showmance' that included us meeting their families. It seems like both of their Moms approve.

In addition to that, Julie made another big announcement. They're bringing back the Coup d'Etat from Big Brother All-Stars. The difference this time is that we get to vote on who will get it. In case you're not familiar with the Coup d'Etat, here's how it works. The person that we vote to receive it will have the chance to change the HOH's nominations by removing either one or both of their choices from the block. The HOH will then have to make new nominations right on the spot before voting takes place. So when Julie said tonight that they only way to truly stay safe is to win HOH or POV she wasn't kidding around.

The person that we vote to win the Coup d'Etat can only use the power one time and they have to use it in the next two weeks. They also have the option of not using it as well. It's up to them. However, they have to keep the fact that they hold this power secret from everybody else. To vote on who you want to receive the Coup d'Etat go here. You can vote no more than 10 times from each computer. Voting ends at 11:59 PM PT on Tuesday, August 4th. So get those mouse buttons clicking! Vote from every computer you can vote from and ask your friends and family members to vote on their computers too! And vote for Jeff like I am!

The end of the show involved the start of this week's endurance HOH competition. It has the hamsters hanging from a steel platform on a swing. The platform spins around and they must stay on their swing. There is also a 'diploma' involved that swings out and whips each of them as they pass by it. And there's rain! The last one left hanging on will become the new HOH. However, for the first five out there is a graduation prize they can pick from on a table in the backyard. One of the gifts is even $5,000!

What did you think about the announcements tonight? Do you like the Coup d'Etat twist? Who do you think has the best chance to win this HOH and who do you want to win it? Finally, who are you voting for to win the Coup d'Etat!

Let me know in the comments everybody!

Update - I was wrong about the Coup d'Etat up there. Actually, the winner of the Coup d'Etat gets to replace one or both of the HOH's nominations AND replace them. Sorry about the confusion folks.

i love it that america gets to vote! and yes i'm voting for jeff too, and hope everyone else does! people, don't forget to use your facebook and myspace pages to get the word out for people to vote, even if they're not BB fans they may help you out!

Posted by: jk71 at July 30, 2009 06:19 PM

I really want Jeff or Jordan to win the Coup d'Etat. Jeff will be much smarter about it but I think he has a better chance of winning the HOH or POV.

Obviously CBS did this to try and change up the game since it has been so one sided. I can't wait to see who wins tonight's HOH!

Posted by: kmcford at July 30, 2009 06:21 PM

Good show. I was glad to see Casey go out swinging.

Am I missing something? because I'm not seeing the place to vote on Big Brother's site.

Posted by: Sam at July 30, 2009 06:23 PM

Please, please, please EVERYBODY vote for Jeff!!! I want Jesse or Gnatalie out more than I can stand. Cannot connect to the live feeds; I'm assuming its because BB hasn't aired out west yet. Grrr.

Posted by: martita1968 at July 30, 2009 06:23 PM

voting jeff for sure - he has the most motive and would be smarter than jordan, and she would be my second choice

this hoh is for sure going to natalie or russel, which wont be too bad if jeff gets the coup since he and someone else would be put up. he could take them both off, but then either of them would probably put up kevin and lydia.... tough. this might spell doom for ronnie too as long as hit fat out of shape arse falls

Posted by: John at July 30, 2009 06:23 PM

LOVE the twist!! Hate it that we can't watch the competition for 2-1/2 more hours. I think it's a little suspecious that last night Ronnie said that if it was a comp where they had to see who could sit the longest, he could sit all night. A little wierd.

I hope Jeff wins HOH and the other power. That way he can put up jessie and nat this week and take people off next week if he wants/needs. I'm so excited about this week I can't hardly stand it. Everyone will be kissing everyone elses butt. Not to mention the discusions on who they think America will vote for. I bet they all think it will be Jessie.

Posted by: Pam957 at July 30, 2009 06:25 PM

....I rewound the show....whoever gets the Coup d'Etat (and uses it) also gets to pick their own nominations on the spot...even better!!!! Go Jeff Go!!!!

Posted by: snoopy99 at July 30, 2009 06:26 PM

Jeff definitely needs to win. Maybe then we can oust King Meathead and his Pit Bull.

Posted by: Philly Bob at July 30, 2009 06:27 PM

I hope jeff wins the Coup d'Etat. Do you think people who don't see the feeds will feel that way?

Posted by: Kathy at July 30, 2009 06:30 PM

Sorry to see Casey leave, but he did it in gangsta style.

Now let's give the coup d'tat power to JEFF!!!!!

Then we'll see things really shake up.

HD,

Glad you are doing o.k. Remeber keep your hand above your heart to ease the thumping. Love tonights show. Loved Casey telling it like it is, hated Gnat running her mouth, like Jesse can't talk for him self. LOL Love the Coup d'Etat, my votes will match yours. I just caugh a glimpse of the comp on the feeds, we are missing one person, don't know who. I hope Jeff, Jordan, Kevin or Michelle win HOH. Now down 2 peeps. Keep up the awesome work!

Posted by: MstngSally at July 30, 2009 06:33 PM

Let's all hope that Jeff wins HOH and that he is America's choice

Posted by: donjur at July 30, 2009 06:37 PM

Hope Jessie gets the Coup d'Etat. However, I am not holding my breath on it.

I would like to see Jeff or Jordan win HOH just to see if they put their money where their mouth is and get rid of ratboy. They talk the talk, but would they walk the walk. It might shake things up a bit.

I think Natalie might win the HOH she is a strong endurance competitor even though I am not a fan of hers.

Posted by: Kickin-It at July 30, 2009 06:42 PM

Go Jefffff..........ok kind of confused whoever wins the secret weapon can put up who THEY want or does the HOH?????need clarification.
HD..I to am in the lone star state...Hope you are doing well this evening and keep up the great work

Posted by: deeds at July 30, 2009 06:48 PM

Tonight show brought back some joy for this season. I am glad Casey told them all how it is. I hope Jeff wins HOh and get special power. So glad cliques are done. Maybe there is hope for this season. We shall see.

Posted by: Crystal at July 30, 2009 06:50 PM

Good..... Ronnie dropped... VOTE For JEFF

Posted by: dhdevans at July 30, 2009 06:53 PM

My memory of Big Brother All Stars is a little a hazy ... well, actually a lot hazy. Who won the Coup d'Etat that season and did they use it?

I'm so glad to see that everybody is voting for Jeff. I'll be casting 10 votes on my computer, and 10 votes on my husband's computer! Can I vote on my iPhone too?

Posted by: Tracy at July 30, 2009 07:04 PM

Vote, vote, vote for Jeff!!! If you are torn between Jeff and Jordan, don't vote for Jordan, because she has a big mouth and would never be able to keep it quiet.

Posted by: Dayton at July 30, 2009 07:07 PM

I'm excited about the coup d'etat option...it'll allow Jeff to regain power in the house, because I'm assuming (don't worry, I'm acting on it as well!) he'll get it. Hopefully he'll be HOH this week, get out the Rat or Jessie, and then next week he can use his coup d'etat to save a good guy or two.

I was at the live show taping tonight and it was a lot of fun and interesting. Julie is looking good! Check out the Early Show interview with Casey tomorrow for sure!!
I will have to see if I show up as part of the audience on camera when it airs tonight here on the West coast!

From HD - That sounds like fun Richard! You need to tell us what you were wearing so we can all look for you!

Posted by: Richard at July 30, 2009 07:18 PM

voted for Jeff, will send 9 more votes.

Posted by: maggie at July 30, 2009 07:29 PM

Jeff, vote for Jeff

Posted by: Mike at July 30, 2009 07:41 PM

Tell me where to go to vote for the coup d'etat. Can't seem to find

Posted by: Darla at July 30, 2009 07:48 PM

it realy doesnt matter who wins the hoh tonight cause most likely jordan will win the coup detat..next thurs will be alot of fun..lets say gnat wins hoh and puts up jeff and jordon..surprise..jordan use coupdetat and jessie and ronnie are on the block..the hg will now have to vote off jess or the rat with no converasation about who e1 else is voting for..i want to see the looks on jessie and ronnie..cbs knew they had to cum up with an interesting twist and theyve now put the power in the hands of the good people..whats even funnier is ron and gnat think they are liked by the viewing public and have a chance for the coup..the only coup they get is a chicken coup..POWER TO THE GOOD PEOPLE

Posted by: alau53 at July 30, 2009 07:56 PM

A big sigh of relief here that we can actually, possibly see what we want. I can't even count the number of times I've voted for Jeff tonight. I plan on voting constantly. I don't see anyway that anyone other than Jeff can win. I can't wait to see him get rid of Jesse. It really serves Jesse right, since he's played the game before he should have known better than to play the way he has this season. Oh gooooo Jeff!!!

Posted by: Michele at July 30, 2009 07:57 PM

YOU CAN VOTE MUCH MORE THAN 10 TIMES ON YOUR COMPUTER. THE WRITING ON THE BOTTOM SAYS YOU CAN VOTE 10 TIMES FROM YOUR CELL PHONE - NOT FROM YOUR COMPUTER. I VOTED 50 TIMES - FOR JEFF OF COURSE - AND I'M STILL GOING.

Posted by: CYNDIE at July 30, 2009 08:08 PM

I am so happy I am at a loss for words.Go Jeff win hoh & the coup d'Etat

Posted by: Patti at July 30, 2009 08:17 PM

i want jeff to win too!!

Posted by: sandra at July 30, 2009 08:59 PM

Actually, this coup d'etat is for the winner of it to overthrow the HOH and replace the nominees, not exactly as it was in previous seasons.

Posted by: allyspence at July 30, 2009 09:04 PM

OMG! I'm giddy, I'm so happy. To see gnat and jessie so unhappy and gnat bitching about fairness. I love it!! It's going to be the best feeds week ever!!

Posted by: Pam957 at July 30, 2009 10:16 PM

PLEASE EVERYONE VOTE FOR JEFF!!!BB should never have given the athletes 4 people. The show has been so one sided! Why do the mean people always win? Cause there are always advantages for them. I always end up wanting to quit watching because of the people like Russell, Natalie and Jessie. OF course I keep watching cause I always hope a nice person will win. Thank goodness this twist gives Jeff a chance! I hope!

Posted by: c10 at July 30, 2009 11:05 PM

Why vote for Jeff? because...
Jessie is a JOKE. Russell is a loud mouthed bully. Natalie is like a little barking dog that never shuts up. Kevin and Lydia were my favorites until they became Jessie's little mice. Chima is the 2nd most annoying of the crew. KC was cool as heck - I was sad to see him go. Jordon is the sweetest thing - love her- but Jeff would have the guts to do right by both of them. And Ronnie? He is the most annoying of them all. I don't even like to look at or listen to him. He is the devil.

Posted by: C10 at July 30, 2009 11:11 PM

Vote Jeff!! At this point Jessie really needs to go. What a whining sap! He has HOH 2 of 3 weeks, eats well, sleeps in a big bed, has own private (well, not with his harem around!) room and he and his minions putting everyone else on slop but now taht HE'S on it... he's pissing and whining! How does it feel, Meathead?? And Lydia crying to take his place?? Oh come the f*ck on! She needs to go too! I hope they're all shaking in their boots! I think Russ will keep his word and if Jeff wins the Coup (which he should) all hell is going to break loose!
Again... Go Jeff!

Some of you may have to vote again. Saw this on the CBS website this morning:

IMPORTANT NOTICE -- All online votes cast before 9:20 PM EST (6:20 PT) on July 30 have been disqualified due to technical difficulties. We encourage you to vote again if you voted during this time period. We are sorry for any inconvenience

GO JESSIE GO!!!!!....what is with all of you????
He has played the best so far and shown that he is a strong in the game!!! He hasn't done or said anything outlandish and he deserves some respect. You are all just getting sucked in by the pretty couple "showmance" but what has either of them managed to do????
