Butterflies Are Beautiful
Tonight's show was pretty entertaining wasn't it? They did a decent job of showing how the situation between Lydia, Natalie, and Jessie is building. The Have Nots competition looked like it would have been fun to compete in and there were some great diary room clips shown as well.
A significant amount of the show was spent trying to explain the whole Lydia/Natalie/Jessie triangle. Jessie was made to look like an innocent bystander in the entire matter with his clips in the diary room. It's tough to be him in this situation? It's hard being so ridiculously good looking? Whatever!
I really loved that they showed that clip Jessie and Lydia talking in the backyard. Natalie came out and Lydia went inside. When Lydia came back out, Natalie was sprawled out on the couch with Jessie giving her shoulder a rubdown. If looks could kill, Natalie would have been dead. Between that clip, the scene with Natalie and Lydia arguing about the beds, and the cutesy conversation between Lydia and Jessie in the hammock, Natalie came across looking like a little troublemaker. Lydia was portrayed as the beautiful butterfly she really is. How special!
They did a good job tonight showing how Jessie's only into himself. Besides his freakishly weird diary room clips, we were treated to wonderful pictures of his motorcycle and measuring his bicep in his HOH room. It was also pounded into our heads how much Jessie is only looking after himself in the game. He doesn't really care too much that most of the house wanted Ronnie out this week yet made it to appear to them as though he would backdoor Ronnie if the chance arose. That's why he didn't give any reasons for his nominations - Jordan and Michele were just pawns.
The Have Nots competition looked like one I would have really enjoyed playing myself. Chima seemed to have a hard time maneuvering with her electric keg cart while Jordan managed to land her ice cubes into her own cup instead of the others. Of course, we already knew that the Brains lost the competition but we had no idea how awful Jessie sounded with that overly exaggerated southern accent. I almost couldn't stand listening to him!
Speaking of America's Vote, we get to choose the food the Have Nots will eat next week again. Our choices this time are: squash and squid; brussels sprouts and borscht; and liverwurst and black licorice. Votes will be accepted until 11:59 PM Wednesday, July 29th. You can vote for free right here and remember you can vote a maximum of ten times.
Overall, the show did good setting things up for Tuesday. The POV ceremony isn't until tomorrow afternoon but the viewers won't be too shocked when they find out Casey (probably will) be put up on the block since it was mentioned tonight. Other than that and the POV competition itself, there won't be much else to show except for Casey reacting to the news in his banana suit. I imagine we'll also see Chima's birthday party that was thrown today. I wonder if we'll see, or if they'll hint at, any of the Lydia/Jessie sexcapades going on upstairs in the HOH room though.
So what did you think of tonight's show? And how great were the diary room clips - especially from Kevin, Jessie, and Jordan? What are your thoughts on the Lydia/Natalie situation and how long do you think it will be until they really have it out with each other? Did you almost vomit like I did when Ronnie did the Will/Boogie phone call thing in the diary room?

Not a lot of fun to see the Jessie, Natalie and Lydia show..they make me sick. Out of all of the people that wanted to be on Big Brother this season they chose N and L..ewewewew...
Ronnie is driving me crazy also..For being so 'smart' he seems shocked to be saved. He is in tight with Jessie so he should have known he was safe this week.
Wish Casey could figure out that he is being back doored.
Oh well just my two cents..

I almost vomited when Ronnie did his rendition of Will/Boogie, but I did vomit when that over grown muscle man said he was a butterfly. A freaking butterfly. AYKM!! I love the Lydia and Gnat situation, but what are they thinking ... fighting over POPEYE! HD, what I don't seem to understand is why do you keep saying Casey is going up on the block. He got a key tonight so isn't he safe? I thought I read that in your earlier blog too. I do get confusted time to time so maybe you can help me out. It was a very good show tonight that's for sure.

Does Jessie really think others think he is good looking? I wish CBS would take a poll and give it to him, might wipe the smirk off his face. Ronnie is getting more full of himself, if that's possible, minute by minute. I hope Casey puts the fear into both of them.

Hey Hamster Dame - - all that butterflying hand gestering must've distracted you. The choices for last week's vote - in your own words from the Sunday July 19 entry, were, "sauerkraut and seaweed; cabbage and cocktail weenies; or pickled eggs and pickled herring." I was confused yesterday when you posted that they would get to eat weenies and sauerkraut, and I asked how was that - since that would've been a combination of two of the choices. But I wasn't sure if that was a reality, or just you speculating about how America would vote. In any event, the weenies and the cabbage were, in my estimation, the mildest of the three choices. In fact - at my son's 8th birthday party today, I made up a batch of cocktail weenies and meatballs - in my "special" sauce (ketchup and grape jelly - - shh! don't tell anyone!) I definitely don't think it's a hardship. I'm voting for squash and squid this next week - - though I can make a pretty tasty butternut squash soup.

I really liked Kevin in this episode. I liked - from the beginning of the season - that he was perceptive enough to discern that Natalie was lying about her age. I really liked, in tonight's episode, how he saw Ronnie mouth "thank God" when Jessie won. That was stupid, Ronnie. Keep it to yourself. But Kevin - VERY observant and perceptive. I hope he starts making some game plays, however. His floating will not bode well long term.
I also didn't mind Ronnie's diary rooms. I liked them more than Jessie's. Boy is Jessie full of himself. MUCH MORE SO than last year. It's like he didn't bother reading ANY of the criticism and just adopted all the adoration lock, stock and barrell. Pin head.
From HD - Thanks! I don't know why I keep getting that mixed up! LOL

Never mind about the Casey question. I figured it out:).
Posted by: xtex88 at July 26, 2009 09:36 PM
If I'm not mistaken the other choice was sauerkraut and seaweed because that's what we voted for and cabbage and cocktail weenies was another choice so I don't think any changes were made.
I have been following your sight for 4 seasons and I just wanted to know that I love reading it but it cracks me up that every season we completely differ on who we like and don't like in the house.
Just shows that there's someone for everyone on Big Brother. : )
From HD - It's taken care of. Thanks!

I almost vomited during Ronnie's Will/Boogie failed attempt. Bleck, bleck, bleck. I can't stand listening to him anymore!
Jessie's interruption of Lydia's story, when they were both in the hammock, was hilarious. It personified their relationship, didn't it? Hah. I liked the portrayal of Ratalie/Lydiot/Mr. Pectular's love triangle, as well... showed how fickle it was.
Kevin is becoming somehow I don't mind so much. Jeff/Jordan are still cute, innocent, and my favorites (I would love for Jeff to win, but I wonder if he can hack it?). Nonetheless, I want more clips of them, please :]

Thank you so much for tonight's re-cap Hamster Dame. My family is in town for a visit and so I missed the entire show tonight. How wonderful that i find it all laid out for me to read.
One thing - I thought the winning foods were cabbage and weenies? Wasn't sauerkraut with seaweed? As far as next week, I wish they had offered limburger cheese as the accompaniment to the liverwurst. That would have been completely grotesque. Can you imagine how upset some of these stomachs and intestines are going to be once these peeps get out of this house? Just hoping that Ronnie and Jessie are among them.

I was afraid the show would be boring but it wasn't. Really enjoyed Jordan's clip c/o the slop and havenot room. Sometimes her voice really gets on my last nerve esp when whe says more than just a few words. For the life of me I can't remeber Kevin's DR. Why isn't Kevin letting anyone know about Ronnierats comment when Jessie won HOH? Or is it CYA (cover your ass)on his part??
It is really just a matter of time that Gnat figures out what is really going on in the HOH. Then the fireworks will begin!!:~) Is Jessie just toying with her becuase of her so called age of 18??
Jessie's DR sessions, I do remember and the last DR session they showed made me sick?!!!! Will and Boogie he is not!!!! Good looking he is not!!
Never thought I would label Jessie as a womanizer but that is how I see him now....
Posted by: Shirly (ironsa) at July 27, 2009 02:54 AM
Jessie is such a jerk. I wish Rennie were still around to call him out on his faults like she did last season. Ronnie may think he's a boogie/Dr. will, but he lacks their charm. Even when I hated Dr. Will, I still loved him, because I always got the impression that outside of the house he was most likely a good guy and not the jerk he was in his efforts to win the game. Ronnie is just a sad middle aged man who never got invited to a party in high school and now thinks he's in with the "cool kids" He will be tossed to the curb when he's no longer needed or he will be brought to the final 2 and win 2nd place.

Greetings,
Lydia does remind me of a butterfly with her limbs all tatted up like the designs on a butterfly's wings. However Jessie is like a dung beetle, stolidly crawling, feasting on filth he finds along his path. His self importance is incredible. Maybe it is armor he puts on to disguise his real feelings, and he was so hurt by the public's reaction to him last season that he wants to try again. A do over that may be paying off for him due to the many more positive comments this year. I'm just wondering what is going on inside that peabrain and seeing a pic of that cute little boy when I think of him.
The scene that sticks in my mind is the argument between Jess and Lyd when he offered her some of his spaghetti because she was still hungry and he had taken more that he could eat. Then he started putting qualifications on just exactly what she could take off of his plate. After a nasty comment to him they had a few unkind words with each other. The looks they gave each other were telling, and I could almost read their minds.
Jessie... I'm keeping her around as long as she keeps putting out but does she have to be such a b**ch.
Lydia...I hate, hate him and what I'm having to do to keep safe. One of these days I'll have my opportunity but I'm flying low for now.
Natalie is acting like Jessies wife and trying to tell him what to do. I think he values her opinion, but is gonna get tired of all her whispering in his ear.
I'm loving watching this soap opera love triangle.
Good-by Casey! Sorry to see you leave.
Ronnie...You are a legend in your own mind. BTW a lot of us were teased in the past, but we turned into decent human beings. You are just sick.
xtex88 ...Thanks! :-)

I will keep hope against hope that Jesse puts up Ronnie...I know it won't happen, but I am just hoping. The only chance will be if Jeff and Casey actually go talk to Jesse. That is my wish for today!
I will be sad to see Casey go...I enjoy watching him in his "teacher mode" with these "kids". Of course, it is that teacher mode that is sending him home....so there you go.
C'mon Jesse...do the right thing!

I am cracking up at Meagan's "Ratalie", "Lydiot", and Mr. "Pectular." That is f-ing funny. (hope I can say f-ing.) And who made up Gnat? That's why I love going to this site some pretty darn funny stuff and so creative. Lydiot, that's so perfect for her. Can't stand her. "Jesse pretty much does what I say," I am paraphrasing her, but she did say something like that in the diary room. See ya Tuesday night. Peace!
Posted by: xtex88 at July 27, 2009 08:17 AM
I am with you Shirly. At first I thought are you kidding me, boring, but after a few episodes it has picked up nicely. But I think I feel this way every year:).
Posted by: xtex88 at July 27, 2009 08:20 AM
yes... I did nearly choke when VolderDork did the Will/Mike phone thing... Lord he's such a ccrrrreeeepppyyyy dork... yuck... I would LOVE to see Jeff get HOH next week... he couldn't get his click.. but he could raise up some ruckus... now if little Jordan could win... that girl could really do some damage.
Posted by: Dixie at July 27, 2009 08:47 AM
Question.... Does the house still think that Natalie is 18? During the have/have not competition I noticed she had a bottle of beer in her hand....oops
Posted by: HeySha at July 27, 2009 08:48 AM
OK, Coleen with One 'L'. Now, I have to put grape jelly and cocktail weenies on my shopping list so I can try your sauce. It's one of those things that sounds terrible, which might, in actuality, turn out to be pretty good. I have never had a cocktail weenie in my life, so like Ronnie, as "a collector of experiences," I am going to expand by culinary horizons.
I am completely down with squid for the have-nots, especially if it is whole squid which they will have to clean. Nothing is more fun than cleaning squid.

OK HD,
Haven't watched the show yet (its been tivo'd) cuz I always find myself reading your blog first :) It seems that this year I tend to gravitate more to the feeds and end up at my computer for most of the day, i do appear in time to make dinner, but then its back to my little hide out. Thank you for your dedication to this site HD, You Rock!!!
Now what I wish for... I dont want to see the banana man go (Glad he FINALLY caught on) but if somehow he could convince Jeff to vote with him, love Jordon but she is just a major distraction for Jeff, and then rally Kevin, Lydia, russell & Michele, then maybe they could have a chance to knock Jessie or Gnat off of the thrown & possibly out of the castle. (off with Gnats head) actually seeing Jessie leave before jury would be my ultimate wish... he's a tool fo sho. I think that Kevin & Lydia need to realize that the jelouse "18" yr old is gunning for them next, well Lydia, out of sheer spite. And if her boyfriend doesn't realize the "friendship" they have going on after last nights show, then the guy needs to watch the feeds. OK well thats my wish... start campaigning banana man!
Posted by: meluvbb at July 27, 2009 09:06 AM
This entire season has not had one good show...they have all sucked because the entire clique twist and bringing back Jessie skewed everything and made playing the game so unfair-like a few other seasons. There is nothing that Jessie could do to redeem himself in my eyes. Mind you, the Evil Dick season really tortured me as well. I am beginning to question my own judgment on why the hell I watch this show at all. This season's crew is ranking in my top least favourite group. Damn, I am bitter! Very bitter. This year's Big Brother does not make for enjoyable summer viewing. There are so many other things in life that can make one depressed...why make it worse watching BB11?
Posted by: sprite1949 at July 27, 2009 09:46 AM
I think Casey knows he is going up. On the feeds last night after his chat with Jessie, he told Jeff & Jordan, that there was a 90% chance he, (Casey), was going up So I think Casey knows. It sucks!!
I'm sick of the Jessie/Ronnie show. I barfed when he did the Will/Boogie imitation. The nerve putting himself in the same class as Dr.Will. Ronnie is about as delusional as Jessie is about himself!
Crap, I just threw up in my mouth.
BB11 is just awful this yr.
Posted by: Mishka at July 27, 2009 09:58 AM
CBS did it again, twisted the facts so the tv viewers would surmise that Nat & Jessie felt sorry for Rat being "picked on". Gr-r-r
Posted by: Yvonne at July 27, 2009 10:03 AM
Coleen with one "L":
Totally agree on Kevin last night. I think he is perceptive, and deceptive, enough to get his way to the end. I'm just hoping he "wins" something so he is not subject to allegations of "riding on coat tails".
Good show, still hoping Casey gets a miracle, while ready to laugh at Chen speaking to a fruit.
Posted by: ClayPo at July 27, 2009 10:43 AM
Last night Jeff made a comment to Casey that sums up this season. He said "BB put us all in this house for a ONCE in a life time shot at a 1/2 a million bucks, so why did they bring Jessie back for a second shot?"
I couldn't agree more. the show usually gives all players an even chance to win but by putting Jessie back in with his prior knowledge of the game and giving the athletes 4 players against all the 3 player groups was a hugh advantage for him & his team. No fair BB you blew it big time. Thanks HD I needed to get that off my chest .
Posted by: Patti at July 27, 2009 11:11 AM
I, like nearly everyone commenting, would really like to see Ratboy go up today, but that's just not going to happen. King Dipshit & his sidekick gNat will hold onto that clown like a hungry monkey on a banana (sorry, Casey!!!). So the best thing to hope for is for gNat to keep pushing the "put Lydia up" angle and have KD give in. Can you just imagine the fireworks surrounding that little manuever??? I would be in heaven and glued to the feeds like, well like a hungry monkey on a banana. It would almost make up for giving up on the "get rid of the Rat" plan...almost.
Posted by: Jeannie at July 27, 2009 11:18 AM
HD!!! Some seismic shifts happening with the Jessie team. We need to hear your latest update. Now with Lydia and Kevin trying to recruit Michelle, Jeff and Jordan to oust either Jessie or Natalie. This next HOH is going to be critical...
Posted by: BigBro1111 at July 27, 2009 11:23 AM
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but every time I see Casey...all I can think of is Eddie Murphy saying "I'm Gumby Damnit"
Posted by: senduaway at July 27, 2009 11:44 AM
I think the whole Jessie and Lydia thing is NASTY! They are both two of the nastiest people I've ever seen. And Natalie just looks like a jack ass. Really hope he gets rid of Ronnie or even Chima. I hate them both. They are both so full of themselves it makes me sick.
Posted by: skynard at July 27, 2009 11:44 AM
C'mon, CBS, give us another America's Choice to go home and let's send Jessie out again. Such satisfaction that would be.
Singing..."What a wonderful world that would be."

this will be the last week of the cliques..this way when jeff wins hoh he can put up jessie..im embarrased for casy that his friends and students will see his bad game play..the house needs to be shaken up so jeff or jordan hopefully will win hoh..otherwise these misfits will continue to rule the house

help us HD you are our only hope.
i dont even know what to comment on. i want some excitement from the hg's as in real game play.
is it to much to ask?
Posted by: mjude at July 27, 2009 01:22 PM
The show was entertaining, sort of. I had missed enough of the drama behind the Nat/Lydia feud on the feeds to actually learn something as well as being entertained by the competition.
I had to turn the feeds off for a bit this afternoon. Casey was being so obnoxiously bitter. I don't like bitter bananas.
Posted by: JoyInWI at July 27, 2009 01:37 PM
Someone tell me if it's common knowledge yet that Ronnie is the National Debate winner? I'd think that if people in there knew that already, they'd definitely want him out.
I know Chima and Jordan know. Did anyone spread the word? Thanks for a response.

OMG!! It"s like you're in my head! My thoughts exactly.
Posted by: donna at July 27, 2009 03:09 PM
djk, for what it's worth, below is a link to a real debater's look into Ronnie's claims. It looks like he is a champion debater in the same sense that he is a trained ballet dancer.
Posted by: gray at July 27, 2009 03:39 PM
I think one reason Jesse is acting like such a jackass aside from the fact that he IS a jackass is because he's trying to get a gig with WWE as a wrestler. The bigger jackass he makes of himself, he thinks the better chance he has as making it big! He's ridiculous and a waste of space in my opinion! The worst decision BB ever made was to bring back a past contestant...especially this one! It has completely thrown the game into a crazy one-sided frenzy!
Posted by: Stacey at July 27, 2009 03:54 PM
Casey:
In view of recent developments you are going home and I have some parting thoughts for you.
You should have latched unto Jessie as soon as he became HOH and become his BFF.
AND..
Who has the chance to win POV and throws it away if there is the slightest chance of being a replacement nominee?
I thought you were brighter than that.
Betty
Posted by: Betty at July 27, 2009 04:17 PM
Jessie really doesn't bother me much. I don't think he's nearly as good looking as he thinks he is but other than that I don't really care either way about him. I do think he's wasting his hoh though if he makes Casey a replacement nominee, there has to be someone more worthwhile to get out of the house than Casey.
I really think it's Ronnie that should go, one because I can't stand him and two because I really don't think he likes Russell and Russell is my favorite. From Jessie's perspective though I think keeping ronnie is a good thing but I don't see how getting rid of Casey helps him, casey "almost" winning a couple comps is irrelevant and he doesn't seem to have much of a clue about the game, unlike ronnie...i don't know i just think it's a waste
and ronnie doing the will/boogie phone thing, i could have puked...it's totally unacceptable, he may be one of the few people in that house with any clue how to play the game but he can possibly compare himself how fantastic will was...or even boogie for that matter...i'm disgusted...
Posted by: Jenelle at July 27, 2009 04:34 PM
Gray, thanks for that link. I hope they get Ronnie and Jessie out of the house the next two weeks. Ronnie is my worst hated hamster ever, followed by Jessie, and to have both of them in the same house, isn't making for a good season.
Ronnie has to make up lies about himself to make him feel like he's worth something. LOSER!!
Posted by: djk at July 27, 2009 05:01 PM
I'm thinking it's time for an "All stars" BB again. Bring back the faves...not Jessie!
Posted by: Steph at July 27, 2009 05:08 PM
I absolutely LOVED Ronnie's will/Boogie DR phone call. We have it recorded and we keep playing it over and over again and laughing our butts off. Jesse is a total loser but the fact that he is playing for himself , I give him kudos. Everyone always says they are doing this and that for the house/group. You are not playing for the house/group you are playing for yourself and you have to make moves that benefit yourself, scr*w the rest of the house. Ronnie is aligned with Jesse and it wouldn't make any sence for Jesse to get Ronnie out.
Posted by: kandeekane at July 27, 2009 06:34 PM
Jessie is actually my favorite. He knows who he is and is confident in his plan this year. His diary rooms were entertaining.
I really don't like ratboy, he is a snake. I am sick of Casey's mouth (how boring a teacher he must be) and Jordan is just along for the ride with Jeff. Jeff even said that to Casey; yet he is leading Jordan down the path. Let them put their money where their mouth is and win something. They are talker's not doers.
Russell is a backstabber too. He is going to let other people do his dirty work for him. He leads Jessie to believe he is on his side, yet he is in alliance with Ratboy.
Thank goodness I am getting ShowTime for free right now (promotion); the feeds after dark are really not worth paying for.
It is very hard right now to know who can be trusted. Jessie asked his clique to not make promises for him and yet Natalie is doing just that; she previously told Ronnie he was safe, she told Jordan she was safe this week, etc. Natalie was the lone vote to keep Laura last week and Michelle got blamed for it; she is a trouble maker and so immature.
All the free loaders need to go home so we can have a real show!
Posted by: Kickin-It at July 28, 2009 04:08 PM
Not enough information, kandeekane. Are you laughing along with the Rat Boy at the comic brilliance of the DR phone call, or at him and the sublime douchiness of it all?
