Memphis Wins Part Two

Guess who won part two of the three-part final HOH competition? Memphis did!

So it'll now be Memphis and Dan up against each other in the final part during the live show tomorrow night. One of them will be the final HOH of the season and will have to decide who to take with them to the final two. What do you think will happen depending on who wins the HOH tomorrow evening?

If you missed Keesha on CBS' The Early Show or on House Calls, you can watch them below. How do you think Keesha handled things? And what do you think about Dan's blog this week?

Poor Old Jerry! He really looks and is feeling his age right now...he is making excuses and talking to Dan and Memphis is keyed up and Walking back and forth. I think that Dan and/or Memphis will both be thinking about tomorrow night and if they want to take the chance taking each other for the prize. Time for cut-throat decisions. They aren't really talking to one another right now. So....Can't wait!

Posted by: gerry at September 10, 2008 06:00 PM

I just hope Dan the Man did not tutor Memphis all that well. Unless Jerry threw it and I doubt that, LOL, this is the first thing memphis has won on his own or am I wrong? He had both Dan and Jerry giving him all the facts. Memphis and his cocky hat! Can't stomach the biggest floater ever.

Posted by: Mizzminney at September 10, 2008 06:01 PM

I think this is good news for Dan fans:) The final comp. is usually a quiz about the houseguests, which Dan will definitely beat Memphis in. Actually, as I am thinking about this, has Memphis ever won a competition on his own other than this one? I think if Dan wins he will take Memphis to the finals. If Memphis wins, then I think it is a toss up who he will take. I think that taking Jerry would be a big mistake, he can go for the sympathy vote whereas Memphis has nothing to fall back on really. I don't dislike him, but I don't think he can claim he has had the best "gameplay".

I am hoping Dan will win, he has played the best game.

Son of a gun! Oh well, I have stopped watching BBAD so I don't have to watch Memphis walking around like a cocky rooster. All I can pray and hope for is that Dan wins the big bucks. HD, please answer this for me, do you think Dan would take Jerry to the end? And if Memphis wins do you think he will take Dan. I would be in hog heaven if Memphis went home tomorrow. Would love to hear your opinion. Thanks for a great season. Looking forward to your blog next summer. Take care.

From HD - Don't tell me you're running off already! Take a breather tonight and then come back tomorrow. BTW, the Brian and Steven chat is awesome right now!

Not surprized Memphis won... Dan wasn't playing.

Will the Renegades make it to the final two? Dan just told Memphis he'd evict Jerry tomorrow night so they'd trade 1 for 1 - Keesha for Jerry Jury House vote.. of course they'll take each other. They are "men"... When real men make real deals.... even where money is concerned... they keep their word. Even in BB... If not, Ryan would have kept Sheila last season (though saying that Ryan and Adam are "real men" is a bit of a stretch I know).. But they believed that they were and that's what counts.

Dan will win HOH and send Jerry packin' tomorrow night... and even though I know it's going to happen, I'm going to enjoy every single hamster minute...

Posted by: Dixie at September 10, 2008 06:47 PM

I am glad that Memphis won round 2. I am hoping for a Dan win tomorrow night. I want Dan to make the decision that can make him 500g's richer. If he makes the wrong decision and doesn't come out victorious, at least it was his game play that played him.

I don't 100% trust Memphis to take Dan to F2. I just hope he doesn't get to make the final decision.

I am curious what Dan's 1 more thing up his sleeve is. I enjoyed this blog as much as his last one. I find his HOH blogs to be well thought out and not just a shout out to the many friends and family out there. He really gives you a little insight to his moves so far and a little peek at his future plans.

I think Dan is a genuinely nice person outside of the house from what I have seen and heard from him. I can't believe I said that after my initial opinion of him based on the pre show information I had. I really thought he was not someone I would ever cheer for. So he is either nothing like we were led to believe or........it is just one more strategic play in the game where he played us the fans for all he was worth. Either way, I feel he has earned the right to win this game based on the fact that most of his plays in the end game have been planned and executed by him in the way he set out to do it.

Well this turned into a whole chapter and I don't want to turn it into a whole book, so I will chat to you all later.

GO Dan!!!

Hello Queen HD, not much of writer and I don't really leave comments on your blogs but I do read everything you write and all the comments religiously(not big on spelling either I'm an accountant don't need to know anything but numbers ;-p) one thing I don't understand is and I will be forever in debt to you if you can answer it for me is; some of the hamster are saying that they have never seen the show before, then why and how did they sign up for the show if they've never watched it before? this is bugging the daylights out of me. And let me not forget to thank you for all the hard work you put into all your blogs!!

From HD - No worries Tina and thanks! Some of the hamsters each season are "recruited" and by that I mean producers or somebody in casting found their Myspaces (or something else like that) or came across them by accident by word of mouth because somebody met them in a bar or somewhere. It was just something that stood out about them that caused them to be contacted about being on the show.

Posted by: Tina at September 10, 2008 06:59 PM

Just a thought: Does anyone think Dan would throw the final challenge to Memphis wholeheartedly thinking Memphis is definitely gonna take him to the final 2, and also so Dan doesn't have to chose between the two? I hope he has the gonads to see it through and play as hard as he can to blow Memphis away. At this point, I want to see Dan get to the final two and better yet, win it all. I hope Dan doesn't pull a stupid move like throwing it for a promise from someone who's proven he'll backstab anyone to get ahead.

Your thought, readers??

Posted by: djk at September 10, 2008 06:59 PM

djk - in a word... "no"

Posted by: Dixie at September 10, 2008 07:08 PM

Thanks for all you do HD. I have always checked your blog to see how you felt about things in the house. You do such a great thing for us and I wanted to again say THANK YOU! Pete

Posted by: Pete at September 10, 2008 07:12 PM

To DJK: Let me put it this way -- if Dan does indeed throw the final part of HOH, then that dumb move would replace the dumbest move in all of BB history to this point, Marcellas not using the POV on himself!

Posted by: Pat at September 10, 2008 07:19 PM

DJK...NO. Dan is playing with all he is worth and so is Memphis...the Throwing the comp. has been stopped for weeks now. I am trying to figure out who the last one Dan's talking about...Trying to remember who was in that room when Jerry was forced to put Brian up for eviction. Unless he is talking about Jerry. I can't remember whether Memphis was there or not. I just hope Dan doesn't trust Memphis in this last comp and PLEASE STOP Quizing him on the game. That sends me crazy. Daniele did the same thing with Jameka and Zach, they KNEW she knew everything about the house and houseguests and they quizzed her so much; I feel that is giving away YOUR GAME. So I hope Dan doesn't answer anymore questions that Memphis has.
GO DAN!!!

Posted by: gerry at September 10, 2008 07:26 PM

PS....HD, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. for everything you've done to keep us up to date on everything...and for your blogs...they are Great!

Posted by: gerry at September 10, 2008 07:28 PM

I don't think Dan would leave anything to such a risk as "hoping" Memphis would take him. If Dan loses the next comp, it will be because he genuinely lost.

I'm fully hoping Dan wins - no doubt he has flat out played the game... and then some! But I'm also okay with a Memphis win. I think Memphis has always been strategizing. In another season, he might have had the best game - just not up against a Dan.

Posted by: Elaine at September 10, 2008 07:29 PM

I thought the very end of Dan's blog was interesting. I wonder what his final twist could be. I can't imagine that he would take Jerry to the final two.

I still don't understand why Dan wrote Hot on that duck he gave Keesha. Weird.

Posted by: Dan at September 10, 2008 07:30 PM

djk,

To answer your question...

I believe the chance of Dan throwing the final competition to be roughly equivalent to the likelihood of my becoming a sensitivity training instructor.

DRATS

P.S. Hey Dixie-cup, ya scared yet? By the way, is pernnicious spelled with two Ns or just the one?

Posted by: Dratsab Tnagorra at September 10, 2008 07:31 PM

Dan's blog was every bit as good as his first blog and this time he had some pictures!!! It's hard not to like Dan when you read his thoughts on the blog.

I don't have the BB background as most of the other people commenting here, but I think Dan has played a great strategic game.

If the Dan/Memphis Final HOH competition was a football game, I'd make Dan a 14 point favorite, but just like in the NFL "on any given Sunday" even the biggest underdog can win.

One of the comments from a previous post regarding Michelle's trip to Catalina with Dan suggested it was edited to make it seem that Michelle was not buying into Dan's plea for her Jury House vote.

It's true that you can edit anything to get a desired result, but Michelle really looked like she hadn't forgiven Dan and that she immediately knew Dan's ulterior motive for inviting her. Considering she had just taken a helicopter to a private beach with a fesst of food and wine, Michelle didn't appear to be very happy in Dan's company.

Dan's look at the end of the excursion was the kind of look you see on guys who have just spent a small fortune trying to impress a girl only to be given a goodnight peck on the cheek. Michelle is the type to never forgive or forget and I don't think she'll help Dan in the end.

Both Dan and Memphis have proven to have the killer instinct and put personal feelings aside to advance in the game. I think either one will make the decision on who to bring to the F2 based on their calculations as to which HG gives them the best chance to win.

I'd hate to see Nemphis win the HOH and pick Jerry shutting out Dan from at least the $50,000 for Final Two. If Dan gets shut out, CBS should find a way to get Dan the $50,000 for making the BB10 Season worthwhile.

Posted by: Dutch at September 10, 2008 07:35 PM

Dan will NOT throw the competition tomorrow night. If Memphis beats him it will be fair and square. I'm hoping for a Dan HOH3 win to assure at the least he is there in the Final 2. Everyone keeps talking about Dan taking Jerry instead of Memphis, but I cannot see that. Dan has to know in the back of his mind that there is a chance that he is hated (hello?) and Jerry could pull the sympathy thing/vote.

Dan will stick to the Renegades script and I will bet on that. I might regret saying it, but I believe he will take Memphis. I think if you take the sympathy, poor pitiful 75 year old man out of the picture, Dan beats Memphis.

Now if Memphis wins the final HOH then all bets are off. LOL!

Posted by: Monty at September 10, 2008 07:45 PM

I don't see Dan throwing the final HOH either. If by some miracle Memphis were to win the final and opt to take Jerry, then I believe the jury would side with Memphis for his game play. Keesha is the only person Memphis evicted. I think even Dan would recognize Memphis' as a great gamesman and give him his vote. ... I don't, however see that happening. It's all Dan's to lose.

Posted by: AmosMoses at September 10, 2008 07:50 PM

DJK - IMHO there is no way that Dan would throw the HOH tomorrow. He has played to hard to put his fate into Memphis's hands. If he throws the comp it would rate right up there with Marcellus for stupiest BB moves ever!!!!

HD - This is the first season I have used your blog and want to thank you for the fine work you do. I have been a fan of BB from the begining and can honestly state that your blog has increased my enjoyment of this show ten-fold.

From HD - Thank you Dave! I hope you join us here for BB11. :)

Posted by: Dave at September 10, 2008 07:50 PM

not just no- but HELL NO!

It's in Memphis' best interest for Dan to win. Jerry expects to be evicted by Dan- so it's not going to cost Dan a vote in the long run. If Memphis wins and evicts Jerry, Memphis has likely lost his vote because Jerry will feel betrayed. At least if Dan evicts Jerry it's a wash.

Dan probably has 3 solid votes (Libra, Keesha, Renny)- all he has to do is figure out a way to get that 4th during the jury questioning. Ollie is a lost cause. So he needs April (unlikely), Jerry (possible but unlikely), or Michelle (who is possibly going to be the deciding vote here).

I'm actually looking forward to a Dan/Memphis final two- we'll have probably no way of knowing what the final result will be up until the show...

(here's a big hint: If Julie asks Michelle for her vote LAST next week, that means it's 4-3 one way or the other, because they'll play up the "did Dan convince Michelle to vote for him" angle there. If she's not, then someone got 5 votes or more. There's some precedent- When Eric in BB8 had his vote cast FIRST, I knew it was at least 5-2 because if it was 4-3 they would have made Eric go last and said "America has decided the winner"- but since it was first, it was meaningless and they just wanted to make sure the result of that vote was shown)

Hey, HD. Your site has been down since yesterday morning on my end. All of the sudden, it's back up and it looks like things have been going on business as usual. Have you heard about any glitches with the SH site?

From HD - I haven't heard of any glitches or had any complaints about it being down. I'm glad you're back though gray! Check comments by Gregor on previous posts because I think he's looking for you. LOL

Posted by: gray at September 10, 2008 07:58 PM

djk - I don't see Danny boy leaving his fate to someone else at this point in the game. He is a smart cookie. SO,DAN - YOU - MUST - WIN - HOH. There I feel better.

I want Dan to win the Final HOH to guarantee himself a final 2 position. Not sure if it matters much if it is Memphis or Jeriatric as the other one. With the three left in the game IMHO it is a crap shoot as to who the jury will go for, but I suspect Dan will be ahead, since he has started planting the seeds to grow in his favor for the 500K. Still prefer nothing for Jer - ickyness aside - Memphis and Dan have just played the game better.

BB prolly has to restock their knives since so many have been used and are still in the backs of houseguests who have left. BUT - that is what has made the last few weeks more fun this season.

Groggy - good to hear from you - so glad that errant Iphone was located! :)

And HD and others in the possible path - this shout out is for you. Take a hike Ike!

Posted by: Sleepyeye10 at September 10, 2008 07:59 PM

I do not Dan will throw the final to Memphis. Dan seems to smart to totally trust anyone in this game. However, if he gets too focused on getting votes, who knows.

Posted by: Grace at September 10, 2008 08:18 PM

HD.. (this may be a stupid question) in Dan's blog he said P.S. Brian, I got Ollie for you, one more to go. Is he talking about Jerry since Jerry is the one who put him on the block? I sure hope so. I still want D/M in the final 2. I'm curious what the one more trick up his sleeve is??? Brian and Steven were so funny tonight. Thanks for all you do. :)

Posted by: Lora at September 10, 2008 08:19 PM

Love Dan's blog. The guy is just refreshing
Does anyone think that Dan's last and final target could actually be Memphis? and he'd take Jerry to the finals as some sort of revenge.

Posted by: SheShee at September 10, 2008 08:20 PM

djk, don't think Dan is stupid enough to trust anyone 100% in this game. Smart man and I think he will be in it 100% to win final HOH.
Plus, a Dan win, gives Memphis his vote from Jerry as Dan will be evicting Perv, and Dan has now got Keesha's. Great team, but I think they both have their reservations about each other. Dan would be no farther ahead of the game taking Jerry, nor would Memphis. Dan has the edge because of his trip with Michelle, that Memphis knows nothing about.
If Dan wins, it will be the first time someone I wanted to win, or even have make it to F2, in 6 years, I think! Last person I remember wanting to win was Lisa BB3, Will BB2 and Eddie of course. Haven't picked a winner since.
HD, ya getting scared? Been in contact with Gregor and been at this keyboard for some time now. Oh how quickly we forget the years gone by, NOT ME!!!
Keesha seemed quite sedate in her interviews. Didn't care for her mindset & words, before she was evicted, but at least I was happy that on the way out she didn't have a Chelsia moment!
Very happy Memphis won 2nd heat and Dan the first. Wonder how the many Bible Thumpers that have passed threw BB doors feel, to look at this game of Dans, a religious man, and see he hasn't had to spout off about his religion every moment of every day and he is still winning?? Jameka, Whamber, Natalie, just to name a few, could take a lesson!

Posted by: diff at September 10, 2008 08:26 PM

Dawlin' Drats...

Dearest, why do you ask questions that you know perfectly well what the answers are...?

Now, is it you or is it me that is pernicious? (with only 1 "N" dear).

And why yes wonderful poetic Drats, I'm quivering in my orthopedic shoes!

Posted by: Dixie at September 10, 2008 08:36 PM

well once again i think that you..HD...should replace gretchen....she really sucks at being a host....she doesn't seem to watch the show and know much .....oh well, i'm glad it's up to dan and memph...but i really want dan to win...just don't trust memp....and i think that jerry will realise that dan deserves his vote....i hope so anyway

Posted by: debi at September 10, 2008 08:58 PM

I am already back lol, lol! Listen HD, or anyone, on Dan's blog he said in a P.S. "Brian I got Ollie for you, one more to go." I didn't watch the very first shows, what does he mean? I hope he means he wants to get Memphis for Brian. Does anyone know??

Posted by: xtex88 at September 10, 2008 09:09 PM

Alright HD...

After watching those videos it looks like I am gonna have to accept and fess up to what Drats and Dixie have been accusing me of lately -- I have a major crush on Keesha. I mean major in an add-her-to-my-list sort of way, alongside Grace Kelly, Maureen O'Hara, Leslie Anne Warren, Elizabeth Montgomery, Thandie Newton, and Doris Day.

Now what was the question? Um. I don't remember. But the answer is... GO DAN!

Posted by: BenF at September 10, 2008 09:10 PM

No xtex88, 99% sure that "one more to go" is a reference to Jerry. Jerry put Brian on the block even though Jerry said he had Brian's back, and shook on it. Memphis didn't do anything to Brian. Remember... Memphis didn't start playing the game (hard) until about 18 days ago, since Keesha, Dan and Renny played it for him until then.

Posted by: BenF at September 10, 2008 09:48 PM

Darling Dixie-Cup,

Why do I ask questions of you when I already know the answers? You really don't know? I thought it was blatantly obvious...

Quite simply my dear, because the only thing I enjoy more than hearing your response is the sound of my own voice while asking. ;)

------ ------ ------

BenF,

I'll never know what'cha see in that gal, but I'm right there with you on the rest of the list. However, you forgot Lynda Carter.

BenF...LMAO about you and Keesha, so cute. And thanks for the info on what Dan meant. Shoot, I might as well face the fact that there is no way to get Memphis out of that house until he wins something.Drats!

Posted by: xtex88 at September 10, 2008 10:12 PM

Grog...I forgot in my last comment to say Hey! Glad to see you are well and kicking. Still in my prayers and heart. Until BB11, take care:).

Posted by: xtex88 at September 10, 2008 10:17 PM

Xtex88,

I agree with you about Memphis, but please don't take my name in vain.

DRATS

From HD - Can I then? LMAO :)

Posted by: Dratsab Tnagorra at September 10, 2008 10:25 PM

I think Jerry is the last one to go on Dan's list, for caving and putting Brian on the block. So disappointed in Jerry--was Brian's puppet and now being led along the path by Memphis. He must've been the only senior citizen to apply for BB! I don't know who will have the advantage tommorrow night. NOBODY talked to April/Ollie/Michelle, did they, after Jessie was evicted?? Dan might have a slight advantage over Memphis because of Renny, maybe.

Will Memphis try or will he trust Dan? I Dan will win legit or not and we'll have a Renegade final 2, we've been predicting since mid season. Although I still think it'd be hilarious if someone took Jerry along to F2!

Anybody think Keesha'll affect the jury much? I'm sure they'll feel real sorry for her since the same thing was done to all of them. Only Renny likes her, and maybe her not so much anymore after reading her interviews.

Posted by: Derek at September 10, 2008 10:41 PM

Dan and Memphis are making a big deal about their alliance..shaking hands while they have a chance w/o Jerry around...Looks like they both will be playing to win the comp.. still hoping Dan wins the big money..and Keesha has become my favorite female hamster...out with the old, Janelle, and in with the new!

Posted by: SuZieQ at September 10, 2008 10:51 PM

They did not make a deal to split the money did they? Please tell me Dan would not be that stupid?

Posted by: mizzminney at September 10, 2008 10:54 PM

I think they'll take each other. I mean i don't think they're that stupid to think they could beat jerry who had "alliances" with the other jury members and not to mention the whole "he's 75 this is amazing thing" even tho he had... what i thought was bad/lucky gameplay.

But if memphis is smart he'll let dan evict jerry.

Posted by: sandy at September 10, 2008 11:00 PM

I hope Dan does not let Memphis win the 3rd HOH comp. I'm not sure, because he keeps saying something to Memphis on the subject. But the way D/M were acting tonight, I think they both intend to take each other, without a doubt. I do want Dan to win final HOH, he deserves it for being the mastermind. He keeps talking fondly of Keesha I noticed, that he thinks she deserves a nice gift for one thing.

Posted by: Dee at September 10, 2008 11:30 PM

They cannot make a deal on the air to split the money. Anything like that is forbidden in their contract.

Posted by: Dee at September 10, 2008 11:32 PM

BenF...Keesha LOOKS like Elizabeth Montgomery! And I can understand your feelings...both are quite bewitching.

Posted by: Dee at September 10, 2008 11:36 PM

Just finished watching BBAD and LOOKS like they are going to stick together and Jerry is spending his last night in the BB House. Memphis must still not trust Dan though because he made him swear on his Grandfather's cross and even Borrowed it until after tomorrow's Live Show to seal the deal...I LMAO, talk about going to extremes...That Cross is dear to Dan so, Maybe this time there won't be anymore surprises, despite what he said on his blog. Maybe Jerry is the last man on his hit list of revenge for Brian's Eviction. I LMAO when Memphis told Dan he should have him swear in blood...Well, I guess we will see what rabbit Dan was speaking of in his blog. I hope he wins the third comp and ends with all the power. GGGGGOOOOOO DAN!

HD, I'm afraid that BB live won't be on tonight in Houston because of the hurricane. That will be such a bummer! Any thoughts on this? Go Dan!

Posted by: Maggie at September 11, 2008 06:43 AM

Looks like they're plan worked to a freegin' T!

These 2 guys played the best game of everyone, and they deserve to be there. I cant really stomach either one, but I respect their gameplay.

They knew exactly what they were doing sending Keesha home and lets face it, every move they made worked perfectly. All the Dan/Memphis haters, enough. Either one deserves the $.

Posted by: Andrew at September 11, 2008 06:46 AM

Fruitless Exit- the act of evicting of a House Guest/Hamster that doesn't have any benefit to the person doing the eviction, please see Memphis evicting Keesha. The only 'fruit' Keesha's eviction will harvest is votes for Dan.

dearest salivating Benf... good that you finally fessed up... and now, you have my greatest respect for your list of your beloved women...

Drats... Dawlin' Drats... how I adore you and your wicked humor! How DeVine you truly are... Your secrets, as they are, are safely stored within my ... oh you know... that black hole where others store their warm beating pink hearts... ;p

Anxiously awaiting the final HOH ceremony where, hopefully, Dan takes his final revenge for his buddy Brian (obviously we were short-changed on not having Brian in the house all season long, as our beloved Dan seems quite devoted to his "friend" of 1 week... this I am truly baffeled by).

Dan says: "you broke your sworn vow to my buddy Brian in week one you old SOB, and for that, I exact REVENGE upon you, and oust your sorry old ass to the Jury House! Now, be gone!" Poof!

and a side note... The goal of REVENGE usually consists of forcing the perceived wrongdoer to suffer the same pain that was originally inflicted. (cf. Exodus 21:24) ;)

HD - I should have said earlier how much I appreciate the vid posts... it saves me from becoming lost within the bowels of the internet searching myself... many sincere kuddos..

Dan knows that unless he gets Michelle's vote, it not a total lock for him to win. I sure hope his "final twist" that he may or may not use is to throw the last comp to Memphis so that it forces Memphis to evict Jerry, thus giving Dan Jerry's jury vote. That would be a huge risk and total embarrassment if it backfired and Memphis evicted Dan instead. I am hoping the twist is something he may choose to tell the jury during questions (like reveal the Renegades so they don't all think that Dan was the only one involved in all the stuff that got them evicted).

Posted by: BenF at September 11, 2008 07:14 AM

Dan, you'd better win final HOH. Memphis has no intention of taking you to the finals--he can't win against you. He could win against Jerry. And Memphis winning HOH means Dan is going 'bye 'bye. With that much money at stake, loyalty ain't going to last in that house!

wow, keesha's boyfriend didn't even get a shout out at the end! and gizmo was the first thing she wanted to hug in the early question? hey, i'm an animal lover myself but come awwwn, poor JJ better realize he is fourth fiddle to the dog, parents and friends at best. good luck with that JJ.

Posted by: callie44 at September 11, 2008 08:13 AM

If any of the jury were "smart" and voted based upon game play and not emotions, then Dan should win hands down. But Ollie, April, Michelle and possibly Jerry have never been known for keeping their emotions in checks - they are not the smartest group to play this game. Even Evil Dick nay sayers (including myself) had to conceed he played the game. So if this group is smart and realize it's about playing the game - they would all vote Dan the winner. That's my 2cents and I am keeping to it!

Prayers today for the families and friends of 9/11 - my thoughts are with you.

HD I hope you are safe!

Only 8 hrs til showtime! Here's hoping the renegades do turn on each other. What's with them not wanting to do the bandana thing now? Somebody plan on not taking somebody? How stupid can any jury member be not knowing they were working together? Memphis took Dan off the block with the veto! If Memphis was really gonna cut Dan shouldn't he done it THEN? Wow, Dan swore on his grandfather's cross. He also swore on the Bible itself and Monica's life earlier. Dan did bring religion into the game at least a little bit when he took off his cross before the America's vote. Ya know, that's all you gotta do and then everything's OK.

Ok all, here are my thoughts on what is going to happen. I think Dan should throw the final HOH comp and make Memphis evict Jerry. Now Jerry will feel betrayed and could quite possibly give Dan his vote. Keesha I think will vote for Dan along with Renny and Libra. April is a toss up, but she did want to evict Memphis because of the car, so why would she want to give him half a mil? Ollie will never vote for Dan so he is a Memphis vote. And did Dan taking Michelle on his luxury comp do any good. I honestly think that Dan is going to win this.

Dan writes, in his blog, "Brian, I got Ollie for you, one more to go." The one more must be Jerry, which means that Dan has every intention of taking Memphis with him to the final two.

I really like Dan's blogs. He's thinking most strategically and he shares what he's thinking with us. I like how it was his intention to be hated by the jury in order to get taken to the final two. He's not sure how it's going to work out for him and neither am I, but I'm hoping it does.

Here's hoping that Dan wins and takes Memphis. (I'm not so sure if Memphis wins, he'll take Dan at this point - but Memphis might throw it to Dan to avoid having blood on his hands in evicting Jerry, now that he seems to have Jerry's vote on the jury).

I think that, after this pretend "feud" between Dan and Memphis and watching Memphis "hang out" with Jerry, that the house will be at least a tad more interesting to watch with Jerry on the jury and Dan and Memphis "together again." So here's hoping that whoever wins takes the other to final two as promised.

I wonder what Dan's final "trick" is?

I am crossing my fingers for Dan...despite everything, I do not trust Memphis. Jerry being sick today leads me to believe his nerves are shot.

Still not so sure Dan'll win it. Dick only won because he was up against his equally reviled daughter (who made many strategic decisions and won many comps too IMO). I think Dan's "last trick" is just Dan trying to act cocky again. It'll be Renegades F2. Anything else, then I'll be amazed. Maybe if it exists, we'll see it during the jury questions. Wait, I wasn't gonna talk jury til we had a F2. Wish the show was on now!

I live in Houston and I just called the CBS affiliate and they said the show will not be shown tonight because of Ike! How will I make it without my Big Brother fix?

My Dear Friends,

Seven years ago we watched as cowardice and terror were conquered by selflessness and courage. In the wake of that tragedy we have oft lost sight of the sacrifices that were made, (and continue to be made even today) in service and protection of this the greatest nation on Earth.

Let us not forget.

I hope we can take a moment to remember the Innocent, the Police, the Firefighters, the other brave servants of the city, and the members of the armed services at home and abroad who still battle today so they we may come here and spend time with one another under the warm blanket of the freedoms and protection they provide.

To those of you whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom those seven years ago, I share in your sadness and my thoughts and prayers are with you today and always.

You are my Heroes,

DELBMUH

From HD - Thank you for writing that. Your thoughts are the same as mine.

1 L'd Colleen -- So much of what Dan has been writing about and saying lately is about Jerry. That's why I get the feeling that the final trick up Dan's sleeve was in relation to Jerry, should he have won the 2nd part of the competition. I think Dan's trick options are concluded. Unless of course he means in relation to the jury.

Dutch writes, "Michelle is the type to never forgive or forget and I don't think she'll help Dan in the end."

Remember the hand-shaking thing with politicians. We vote for people with whom we think we have a personal connection. Michelle will vote selfishly. Between Memphis and Dan, who is most likely to slide some of it (even if it's just free drinks) to Michelle? She'll conclude: Dan. Memphis aligned with her and then screwed her over. And he lives on another coast. Dan may have screwed her over before, BUT . . . after their little "date," she may think that he likes her and, perhaps, might even buy a house from her! I'm fairly convinced (80/20) that Michelle will give Dan her vote AND that she'll try to sway the jury toward Dan.

As to the other "trick" that Dan has up his sleeve - keep in mind he wrote this before Keesha's eviction. I'm thinking that telling Keesha about Michelle is the other trick, as is the little staged fight that they had. So I think the trick has "passed" at this point.

Keesha was a nice lady.

Go Dan!
