The Friendship 2.0
As you might guess, it didn't take long after the live show last night for Jessie to decide on who he'd be nominating today. It was decided, with help from Ollie and Jerry, that Angie and Dan would be nominated but that Steven would be the ultimate goal. Hmm, backdooring Steven? I guess it's never too early in a season for that to begin. However, Jessie changed his mind later on and decided that he'd just go ahead and put up Dan and Steven.
What basically happened was after Jessie finally received his HOH room, complete with bodybuilding pictures, it was time for The Friendship 2.0 to meet and cast evil spells on those who are not as deserving as themselves. The new Maggie and Ivette are none other than Libra and April. Along with Maggie and Ivette -- er I mean Libra and April -- were Jessie, Michelle, and Ollie. After being joined by Memphis, it was decided that Dan and Steven would be put up and if one of those two won POV and took themself down, then Angie would be going up.
After that was decided, it was time to pat each other on the back for their job well done. After all, their month was planned out and they can now skate along. Steven will go next, then Dan, then Renny, and then Angie. Now it was time to bash Keesha for having the nerve to hang out with Angie and Dan. How could she? Didn't Keesha realize how horrible they were? Well she must not want to be a part of their little cult too badly.
In fact, Keesha was at that moment having a good time in the backyard with Steven, Dan, Angie, and Renny (when she wasn't checking on her cake). They weren't out there talking smack. They were actually saying nice things about each other and talking about assorted life experiences. Dan even told Steven that he thinks of him as a friend now and now just a gay man that he knows. Please remember that Dan's the Catholic school teacher.
When Jerry unknowingly busted up the meeting between The Friendship 2.0, they dispersed throughout the house. Libra and April were so cute in the backyard pretending to really care about the friendly conversation going on.
Jessie eventually talked to Angie alone up in the HOH and in a roundabout way told her that she shouldn't be associating with those people and that they don't really believe that she's on their side. But he'll keep her around for another three weeks. How kind of him!
The food competition will be taking place in the house shortly and nominations will happen later on. Until all of that, answer me this. Why does The Friendship 2.0 feel it's so necessary to alienate people? Especially this early in the game? Why demand others not speak to or associate with different people in the house? What makes them so special? Because I find it amazing that they're so threatened by people in their alliance just having conversations with the others.

I agree HD. Why must these strange paranoid alliances take hold every season -- Maggie and Ivette, Jameeka and Amber. Yikes! Jessie is now doing the same mind control they put upon Brian. I'm with you, I want to see people in the house having fun so that we can laugh along with them and be entertained. All this drama is ca-ray-zee. I can't wait until one of the Exiled gets HOH and sends one of their silly asses packing. If Memphis is smart, he'll change it up on them. I'll keep my fingers crossed for that.

Ok, did I miss something, HD? Are Steven, Dan, and Angie all a threat and on the outside of this "Friends" alliance because they were friends with Brian?
From HD - In a word, yes.

What is with these people! They are the crudest I have ever seen so far! They have all been ragging about how dangerous Brian was trying to run the house, when they are doing the exact same thing! I can't I repeat can't stand Libra, Michelle and April! Jessie is with them too as far as I can see. When Jerry was talking with Angie today, I saw a different side to him, he was in a no win situation with those idiots threatening him to put Brian up or else. I see him getting close to Angie and the others won't have the guts to tell him to stay away from her like they have told Keesha. Ollie is just as bad as those others too. I really like Keesha, I am glad that she told April's ass off and put her in her place. What I am really looking for is when April, Libra and Michelle go after each other and in the future when the table turns on them. I can't believe this is the first week and they got me already riled up!!! This house! These people! LOL

And have we heard any talk about Steven, Dan, and Angie gunning for any of them? I can't wait for this "Friends" Alliance to blow up in their faces. It's bound to happen, there are too many of them and it's to early in the game to really know if these people are trust worthy. What ever happened to feeling people out? In my opinion the ONLY person in that house who has proven that they can be loyal and trustworthy is Dan.

I have not been watching the BBAD like I should, so I am really getting all of my info. from you this time HD! Thanks for the updates!
I am no fan of Jessie's and seeing him strut around acting like "he's the man" is ridiculous!
I think Libra needs to go, then we will see the game being played a little better. She seems to be all worked up all the time, maybe 'cause she thinks the sooner she gets everyone out, the sooner she can get home to her kids... I don't know!
All I know is I have a newborn (hence the reason I am behind on my BBAD watching :) )and I cannot imagine being in a reality show right now, but good for her if she has it all figured out!
I am still holding out for some better scheming, not just based on judgements the house guests have made on each other.
That is what always gets me, why do these people always jump in with both feet? They need to slow down and get to know the rest of the house guests so that they can manipulate and figure out how to "play" the others. At least that is what I would like to see!
So I guess with that said I have changed my opinion... I think I like Memphis ( for now) and Angie (if she does not become a follower) still need to see how Dan and Keesha progress.
Thanks HD!
From HD - Congrats on the new addition!

I called it last night, Dan and Steven on the block.

Memphis made it clear to the group that just because HE may be seen talking the others, it doesn't mean he flip-flopped. Same with Keesha, or anyone for that matter. No reason not to talk to everyone, and back yourself in a corner by not being friendly. I'm not sure who is the "leader" of this friendship group, but I do think it's rather dumb to make sides the first week in.
I'm glad they are keeping Renny around. I can tell she really has her guard up in there and it's not how she thought it would be. She really doesn't know what to do with herself in there. I think she is probably a fun person otherwise.
I'd like to see Keesha smile occassionally. She always looks miserable, but I do like her.
I also like Angie and I think she is as real as real can be. She is being outted by the friendship for no reason other than jealously, IMO.
Usually, there is one person that stands out above the rest, and I just don't see it in this group.

You are right HD it is just like a clique at high school. They need to grow up a bit.

Am I the only one who misses the drunk/skanky/bible thumping jackasses from last season?
I don't know what is wrong with me, I just can't get involved with these HGs. I have been an avid fan since BB1 but I just don't care about this cast. There aren't even any that I love to hate like ED/Daniele and Matt/Nat to name a few.
I'm not giving up just yet....

Have they posted Jerry's blog and pictures from being HOH?? If so, do you have a link. Looked to the right here but could not find Jerry's blog.
Thanks,
Lynn
From HD - I looked also. I don't think they have his blog or the pics posted yet.

OMG HD you nailed it this is BB6 revisited. I knew I was not going to like Libra and that opinion has not changed, if anything I like her less and less everyday.
Don't these dumba$$e$ realize America always cheers for the underdog.
For the life of me I don't understand why some people call "Foul" and others don't. If these idiots would use their brain they would realize Libra is guilty of what she accused Brian of.

THE FREINDSHIP 2.0- LMAO.. hahahahahahahahah
========================================
so early, and yet so annoyed already. It usualy takes me another week or so to have such deep rooted dislike- but April and Libra, they have got to go !!
Posted by: bbug at July 17, 2008 02:25 PM
I believe I called the Maggie wannabe a few days ago and it seems now Libra has taken the reins. Actually I could sit through another BB6 if the 'Evil Side', as they are called, had some balls. But alas, there is no Janelle, no James, no Kaysar or Howie... Dan, Steven and Angie haven't made a move to set themselves up to even be reckoned with. Dan and Steven should have hit Memphis and hit him hard with logic and reasoning and Angie should have been in Keesha's ear. But again, no balls anywhere. With Brian went any kind of chance these people had. He at least was 'workin' and had them motivated. Now, nada! At least with BB6, there was a fight to the finish. Not here. Libra has got everyone in her pocket and they are all too stupid to realize it.
No one had to wonder how Jessie would handle HOH as Libra has run it from the first hour. And she will run anyone of their HOH's, so why would she get any blood on her hands by going after HOH herself? Not going to happen unless it was against the three of them.
And then their is poor old Cappy, I mean Jerry! His ass is gone soon also. He should have kept his word to Brian and not caved under the pressure. He at least owed Brian the chance to defend himself but was to chicken to tell these people to go pound salt. Brian wouldn't have burned him until way down the road. Brian was just protecting his bets. Any good gambler would. However gamblers do loose. Too bad the rest of the crew doesn't have his moxy!
Week one of BB10 and I am already bummed!
Question HD. When Kaysar was brought back in BB6 I didn't think he, Mike, Cappy and ?? were in sequester? Wasn't it, that they couldn't even find the girl (her name escapes me) when they were given a chance to have America vote? I may be way off, short term memory about history!! Grasping at straws huh?
Posted by: diff at July 17, 2008 03:34 PM
The same thing came to my mind as it did Kay's. This is like highschool where the cool kids don't associate with the others and if your seen talking to one of the other kids YOU were talked about.
I think it's stupid to back yourself in the corner with just associating with certain people as we saw in BB9. Everyone needs to stop being so paranoid (I know easier said than done in the game) and just play it cool, know that you can only truly trust yourself and try to enjoy the game in this early stage. Everyone is CRAZY all ready.

I dub this "Friendship 2.0" the Turd Herd.
Why is it that the decent, down to earth people always seem to get picked off first when these cliques develop? I called it a few days ago, Libra will run this show as long as they are dumb enough to let her.
I hope one of them grows a pair and gets smart enough to see how powerful she is becoming, before it is too late!
Posted by: Gregor at July 17, 2008 04:08 PM
Kay and Cerenay, we were on the same page. The "in crowd" may "grow up" (i.e. get further down the season) and find out no one on the outside wants to hang around with them anymore. The head cheerleader Libra of the clique, is just bossy - and running the rest of the followers. They better wise up and take her pom-poms away.
Not the brightest move to eliminate Steve or Dan, they are the minority, yes, but they are not the threats from what I can see. April, Ollie, or Libra would be better, and then try to build a quiet bridge of friendship with the "outcasts."
Brian did bring a lot of fun to the game, just a shame he got out of the starting block too fast!
I don't dislike, or like Jessie, but do think he needs to win some money, so he can keep buying shirts. He seems to have trouble understanding - you pull the T-shirt OVER your head, not try to take it off like a button down shirt. :0

Okay, here is my two cents worth...here goes..OMG! I think some of these people got on the wrong reality show and were supposed to audition for "High School Musical"! I honest-to-God get that awful feeling that I'm back in high school when I watch these bitchy, bullying, jealous "women" on the feeds. (and I do stay up and watch all night more times than not). Been there, done that many years ago with "those" kinds of girls but they were just that! Immature, stupid teenagers NOT people that are in their mid-20,s and 30's. I cannot STAND people like April, Libra and Michelle.
Furthermore, Jessie's age is not an excuse either to bully a woman like he did Angie or Renny last night. That guy has MAJOR issues hiding behind that hideous body. What a power trip this guy's on.
I am just flabbergasted that they picked this group unless as some of you say, they were going for a BB6 re-run. Agree with that totally! I have to think that most of us have no desire to re-visit clones of that cast (half of them anyway).
Angie, Renny, Keesha, Dan and ex-hamster Brian seem to be the only ones who came into this with any kind of maturity or respect whatsoever.
Jerry might be a wise old man but he is no match for these wise-asses.
It's still early in the game to make much more than first impressions but I sure pegged most of the hamsters wrong the first night.
I think I need some sleep.

I am so distressed at the Libra/April situation. These people are so hypocritical...they practically lynch Brian and now they're trying to eradicate an alliance of...two? It's just dumb. Have not hated an alliance this much since the hideous friendship. I would love Libra, April and/or Ollie to go up in any combination. As always, there will be a line drawn in the sand, but I don't think there's anyone with the leadership or charisma to organize an opposing front to Libra and the witches of doom.

Hey HD, not to change the subject but.........is Keesha sporting a "baby bump"? I was watching BBAD this morning and after she changed from her swim suit her profile sure looked like it. Then when she was out talking to Libra, Libra said (to Keesha)that she does not need to get sick and be on slop along with the other condition) HMMMMMMMM
a few minutes later they were talking about pain and Keesha said she would be feeling that pain soon.
Any comments from anyone??????????
Posted by: PRoss at July 18, 2008 05:31 AM
OMG, PRoss!!! Do you think Keesha is really pregnant?!??? That would be freaking crazy! Maybe thats why she is not handeling the slop well, not that I could stomach it either. I cant imagine that she is because I would think that BB would not want her participating in any physical competitions for fear that she might hurt her BBbaby. That would be wild though! I wonder what else they could be talking about if she isnt pregnant... Maybe because she easily gets blocked up and she needs to be careful or it will bloat her up again... IDK

Hi HD. It's good to be in another season of BB. So far I kind of like Angie and Keesha and respect Dan keeping his honor even if it may hurt him. I caught Brian on House Calls and must say started to like him. He was very much different than he seemed in the house and very humble. I hated him at first. Too bad he played so hard.
Any ideas about the key slot on the photo wall? Maybe a few people will have keys and whoever's key fits will either enter or re-enter the house in a twist. What do you think?
