Beauty And The Brawn

Yes indeedy. The afternoon wranglings up in the HOH room wound up changing the noms a tad.

How is that? Well Jessie cemented his spot on the block because of his attempting to strong-arm Keesha concerning her nominations. Perhaps he got confused being up in the HOH room and thought it still belonged to him.

To say that Michelle is unhappy would be an understatement. She thought that Libra would definitely be up on the block. But her precious Jessie? Oh noes! She doesn't want to lose her potential showmance just yet.

While I could care two squats about Michelle, she'd better fight like a demon to win the POV tomorrow. If Angie or Jessie win it, Michelle will be going up on the block because Keesha gave her word to Memphis that she wouldn't put him up there this week. And if Michelle does win it? The plan is already in place to ambush Michelle leading up to the POV ceremony and tell her that if she does use it on one of them then she'll be the next target by LOKA+JRD.

If you're an Angie fan, you'd better hope she wins the POV tomorrow. If you're one of the three Jessie fans in existence, you might want to drink a protein shake on his behalf tonight.

Because while I know that Angie is the ultimate target this week, I don't think it would take too much to swing the LOKA+JRD alliance to vote Jessie out. Of course I wouldn't have a problem with that! I can't stand Jessie and Michelle. I think Memphis might be a huge threat in the house but I don't want him to go just yet.

And Angie? Well, the more I thought about her today the more I thought about what exactly she's done for her own game. I couldn't come up with anything on that.

I am glad that Jerry, Renny, and Dan seem to be safe so far this week. Yes, I say that because we all know how quickly things can change. But I really don't see too much changing when it comes to one of JAMM (minus Memphis) going home on Wednesday.

So what are your thoughts on Keesha's nominations? Has she teamed up with the right alliance at the moment? Do you hope that it somehow gets turned around so that Jessie or Michelle goes home instead of Angie? Is there anything Angie can do to turn the house on its head?

I'm super thrilled! Oh Jesse...hehehe...and I too was an Angie fan but seriously, what has she done? Nadda zippo...maybe if there was a challange involving how many cigs can one smoke in an hour, she would be a strong contender...and thats pretty much it...I still want Libra to go sometime in the near future...but for now I'm content.

Posted by: lynn at July 24, 2008 06:40 PM

Yes!! I am thrilled to see Jessie up on the block! I am, however, disappointed to see Angie instead of Libra up there against him. One out of two isn't bad, I suppose. As much as I dislike Jessie, my dream nominations for this week would have been Libra against April.

Posted by: Jeremy at July 24, 2008 06:40 PM

this sucks! im an angie fan.. hopefully she wins pov. cant stand april/libra/ollie HORRRRIBLE

Posted by: bbfan at July 24, 2008 06:44 PM

I wish it was Michelle over Angie. Hope Angie wins POV so "I love my body" and PPP get to sit next to each other. If noms stay the same, hope they send brawny home.

Posted by: Jeff G at July 24, 2008 06:53 PM

well, I will cross my fingers now, hoping that Angie will come out fighting and actually win when it is important. I don't feel our dear Angie is used to being hated and hasn't been good at recognizing when she is in danger. It is for this very reason that I like her as a person. She seems a bit innocent and naive. But I also feel she has been reserved and hidden in the background for the most part. There is a fight looming and I believe she will step up and give it her all.

Anyhow, enough of my Angie worship for one post...

Having Jessie up against Angie is just about the best person for several reasons. Number one being that his ego will most likely cause him to act even more stupidly and cause the others to unite against him. Number two, if he does manage to win PoV again, then the possibility of backdooring Libra comes back into play. If she gets too bossy, Keesha might go for it this time.

Either way, if Angie wins PoV or Jessie does, I think it will help her chances of staying around at least one more week.

All I know is that no matter who is gone this week, if someone outside of the ALKO alliance doesn't win HoH it will only become less and less bearable to watch! JUST SAY NO TO THE HERD!

Posted by: Gregor at July 24, 2008 06:59 PM

Sigh, really wanted Libra up there. What is Keesha afraid of. Libra is the ring leader of that group, once she is gone, they will tend to scatter, so nothing to really fear from her group!

So, here is hoping that Jessie wins POV... I can't believe I just typed that! Couple of reasons. He won't be able to control his irritant factor, so if Angie won POV instead of him and Libra were put up against Jessie. Jesse would go home before Libra. But if Angie were still on the block - and Libra were put up, I think Angie has enough votes to stay against Libra.

Libra will have a meltdown if she is put up. That is worth the price of admission right there!

Bottomline, my pipe-dream is to have the Queen Bee go before the Dumbell. But he is the next on my list. Do I think it will play out that way, nah, but I can dream!

Posted by: Sleepyeye10 at July 24, 2008 07:19 PM

They really are the new nerd-herd! Coming from a big angie fan, I'm curious to hear from some Libra/April fans what they like about them? (if there are any fans)

Posted by: bbfan at July 24, 2008 07:29 PM

I like these two as noms. because now we are going to see who is smarter. Jesse in his arrogance thinks he is the smartest in the house, now we will see what Angie is really made of and if she is the threat Keesha&Gang think she is. I am going to enjoy watching her out-smart, out-wit and out-strategize Jesse. I just know she is wayyyy smarter than The Tool.

Posted by: bluex1969 at July 24, 2008 07:31 PM

WooHoo! I love it!

I think my favorite just became Keesha....yep Keesha! I really think that she had no choice but to stick with AOL because had she done anything different...she would have become one of the first to go in JMAM alliance! This way at least she has better chances of people at least backing her without using bullie tactics! I hope and pray that Angie wins POV and Michelle goes up beside Jessie so that they have to turn against each other to get votes to stay!

Im ok with Libra staying this week just for the entertainment value of seeing Michelle and Jessis squirm!

Also cant wait to watch Jessie LOSE the POV comp just to let him know that muscles are just that...you need both Muscles AND Brains....and he seems a little deprived of the latter....IMO

I also agree with HD in that Angie has done very little game play for herself and really needs to pick it up and win POV or she may have to break down and ask for votes!

Posted by: Sassycat at July 24, 2008 07:37 PM

If Angie thinks flying under the radar is going to win the game for her, then she should at least take a page out of Sharon's (BB9) playbook and make nice with the "FURRIENDS" in the house.

As for Keesha nominating Jessie. . . hopefully she didn't cry during her speech.

Here's to Keesha for growing a pair as Arnold the Governator would say!!

ali :)

Posted by: ali at July 24, 2008 07:40 PM

The very fact that Jessie wouldn't stfu and got himself nominated again due to running his big mouth is proof that he ain't the brightest candle in the box. Expect more of the same, but he does have one thing going for him, Michelle is on his side and actually smarter than he is. That is saying more about how dumb Jessie is and less about how intelligent Michelle appears to be.

JUST SAY NO TO THE HERD!!!

Posted by: Gregor at July 24, 2008 07:55 PM

Nothing to do with the nominations but have any of you seen whats on Dlisted about April and Ollie?

Posted by: Hannah at July 24, 2008 07:56 PM

Jesse is so arrogant. His goodbye message to Steven was too much. And he is such a jerk to Renny. I really want to see him go this week.

Posted by: Psychodrew at July 24, 2008 08:23 PM

Omarosa doesn't want to be called the Nerd Herd? Oh PaLezzzze! They are the quintessence of the Herd! Maggot/Libra, Ivette/April, April/Ollie. All three make my skin crawl. Can't wait until they each take that walk out the door...
Keesha made a good move, IMHO, with Dan, Jerry and Renny. She needs more advise from Renny then Omarosa though!
The noms. Hummm??? My heart said Jesse/April and backdoor Omarosa, but I guess this okay. I only hope that in this week she turns her attention away from Angie and targets Jesse/Michelle. The way they have been acting, it won't take much for one of them to blow up!
Angie really hasn't done anything, but on the other hand what has Omarosa, April, Ollie done? Angies downfall is her kindness, which ousted Steven. Maybe not her game this BB, afterall. But maybe she'll put her heart into this week.
I'm just happy that Dan is safe. He has certainly grown on me. He's gone from being Brian's #1 sidekick with a huge bullseye on his back to feeling safe again, and in two alliances! Go figure! I am very passionate about politics and thought I would hate this guy. But I think it's his morals that keep bringing me back to him. Or maybe it's just that there isn't another person in that house (except Angie & Renny) worth their salt! But it is still early, he may prove me wrong and I'll be pulling for Mrs. Roper!
Sorry BenF, That witch is every bit the vile, nasty, lying, piece of nothing, that Trump had the sad misfortune to cast and start her on her road to being realitys number one asshole! Number two is right here in the BB house. Have you listened to this bitch? She doesn't just put you down, she degrades you and then lies her ass off about it. Not game, just vile! No one but her two immediate posse members have been spared. And their time will come if she isn't outed! She's played many a card already and fully expect the race card to be put in play soon.

Posted by: diff at July 24, 2008 08:52 PM

Hannah, Thanks and couldn't agree more with every word that was written about them!! Skanks, the both of them...

Posted by: diff at July 24, 2008 09:00 PM

Jessie can be immature, BUT I was listening to him in the HOH with Keesha and I have to say he had it right and he IS a good player, in that he has the facts pretty straight, Libra IS the mouth of the group and dangerous. Keesha had her chance and she wimped out in spades !! it should have been MICHELLE or LIBRA or both. Two pushy Women who would knock over their Granny to win this game..lost chance, too bad...

Posted by: Kells at July 24, 2008 11:27 PM

Although I would like to see Jessie or Michelle go home....Angie will probably deserve it as she has no game.

Posted by: Debra at July 25, 2008 03:22 AM

I am not an Angie fan, because she has not done enough to earn my support, but I would so love it if she won POV and Jesse or Michelle would go home. I think Angie should lay low and let Jesse self destruct.

Up until now I am didnt have a problem with Memphis, but his talk of how Renny and Jerry should not get to the jury house, because they would not make constructive votes, pisses me off. Why does he think "older" people cannot be smart enough to play the game and make informed decisions on who would get $500K?

Keesha is doing a good job...but her laugh is going thru me!

Posted by: Senduaway at July 25, 2008 03:47 AM

If they are smart they would get rid of Jessie while they can. But chances are he will win POV and then what???

Posted by: bbug at July 25, 2008 06:10 AM

Would love to see Jesse go..so tired of hearing him tell us that he is so smart! Wasn't surprised to see that bit with his mom telling us that he was picked on as a kid! And is it just me, or is his head too small for his body?????

Diff--loved the Omarosa/Libra comparison!

Posted by: S at July 25, 2008 06:21 AM

I am thrilled that Keesha really didn't go along with what the "the house" wanted. Apparently JAMM think they are "the house". I still think that in the back of her head, Keesha has a plan to backdoor Libra. At least I hope it is at least a thought. But I want Jessie out of this game so badly that I really hope Angie wins POV and Keesha doesn't backdoor Libra and puts up someone safe and Jessie leaves. Hopefully his huge arms will fit out the door.

I know that not everyone has perfect grammar or writing skills, but Jessie's blog was a MESS. Jerry's was short and really there wasn't much for him to blog about that early in the game. Jessie's long blog showed that once again, he believes that he is the most important person in the game, and that everything goes back to him. He's not smart - he doesn't know that Michelle wants him so bad she can practically feel the blanket going over their bodies already. He doesn't realize that he feels the same way - notice how jealous he got when she said she thought Dr. Will was sexy? He said "But he's a nerd." And then to compare a general practioner doctor to a little league umpire was RIDICULOUS!!! He really doesn't get that his huge muscles are not sexy. They grab attention because they are freakish. If he'd spent more time in college actually learning than building up his body, maybe he'd have a better chance here and in life. All those muscles have done for him are turn what may have once been a nice sweet boy into and egomaniac. I can't stand him. Everything he does makes my skin crawl. The way he treats Sheena, the way he considers her someone he's dating, but not his girlfriend is so disrespectful - I can't believe he thinks people need to give him respect - he doesn't even respect her enough to say she is good enough for him. The longer he is in that house, the more likely it will be that he will hookup with Michelle.

HD, that was hilarious! More than a few raised eyebrows at work from my laughing so loudly. :)

Posted by: Michael at July 25, 2008 08:25 AM

Jessie made a huge mistake thinking that he talked Keesha into putting Libra up and the idiot laughing about it to his buddies. He was HOH last week ya think he would have been careful, knowing that Keesha could see everything on the HOH screen. He says he is smart but he is the only one who thinks it. Good for Keesha catching him. Today will be interesting, depending on who wins POV. If Jessie and his gang want Libra out, well too bad, they had there chance to backdoor her last week.
If Jessie or Michelle doesn't win POV today, I think the Keesha needs to change it and have them vote Jessie out. He is a strong player where Angie isn't. So far she her game is sitting outside on the lounge smoking cigs. She never tried interacting with the girls, just the boys. I doubt that she will win the POV and she isn't a threat. Take out the strongest and get rid of the weakest later.

Posted by: Linda at July 25, 2008 08:43 AM

Seriously folks...They are a herd here but nothing about them is a nerd herd.

Can we come up with another name for this group?
I say the "Sheep Herders"

We have the two humping like rabbits. A hooters girl. A old man and elder lady...no nerds yet. Libra maybe but I put her in the ultimate hormane raging bitch woman. Dan maybe because of the whole teacher thing. But he is still in a shell and laying so very low.

Posted by: Renea at July 25, 2008 08:59 AM

Let's hear it for the girl! I really have to give Keesha my up-most respect. She handled the nominations fair and intelligently.
I would love to see "Jessie The Body" gone. He actually think he's the king of BB10, giving himself way too much credit. And would he please keep his shirt on.
Angie (the female Zach bb8) needs others and role playing to make herself come alive. She's boring otherwise and has no gameplay. But on the other hand she could have gotten a raw deal from the start being linked to Brian and that group. She hasn't been trying to fit in with the girls but she says she just can't be fake. It is for $500thousand Angie a little faking could help, have you not watched BB before?
When it comes down to it though, for me, between Angie and Jessie staying this go round, I'd rather for Angie to stay.
Here's to hoping the disrespectful, superficial, overly self-loving, your royal cockiness, Jessie does not win POV.

Posted by: Cerenay at July 25, 2008 09:04 AM

Oh and I forgot. I love what Keesha has done. Very good game play. I don't care for floaters (Angie) and Jesse is too much with his ego. Hopefully Libra will be a target soon. But this will be so much fun to watch. Thanks to Keesha for mixing it up!!! She's my number one girl and I hope all this doesn't come back to bite her in the butt.

Posted by: Renea at July 25, 2008 09:06 AM

I hope keesha either gets Jessie out or backdoors Michelle or Memphis those are the 3 strong players. Angie is weak, but I think Dan is being underestimated, he is very calculating, he has been completely forgiven for his association with Brian as Steven is gone, go figure. Good job Keesha you go girl. Libra, Ollie and April will all turn on each other. I like Renny and Jerry, Renny is a very smart lady, I see her going far.

Posted by: gail at July 25, 2008 09:09 AM

Jessie's just a child, in oh so many ways, but Libra is a true viper from the Dark Side. I thought I was an Angie fan, but she really has not done anything smart or strategic in the first month, and seems to bem just hanging around, waiting for something to happen. Personally, I hope both Jessie and Libra stick around, because I can't stand either of them, and for me, BB has always been about watching so that I can feel superior to the HG's. Sharp guys like Dan are a threat to me being able to do that

Posted by: elytheeel at July 25, 2008 09:41 AM

I hate it! I sure wanted to see Libra go up. I have been an Angie fan from day one, but, man she really needs to start playing the game. She seems so timid and naive that I think she'll be gone before she ever begins her play. Libra is so full of it. She says things and then always backtracks and looks shocked that she is accused. Doesn't Keesha remember last week? Oh well, here's hoping for a successful backdoor.

Posted by: Joe at July 25, 2008 10:53 AM

Angie has not really played the game because she prefers the cigaretts to actually engaging in indoor conversation. That strategy doesn't seem to be working for her. I agree with an earlier poster in that Dan is becoming my favorite. He certainly seems to be the most articulate and has definitely learned an early lesson. Renny has also gone from being an irritant to me to now providing some gentle comic relief. Finally, caution to those oy you who think Jessie is stupid..don't let the buffed bod detract you from the clever brain.

Posted by: Lexar at July 25, 2008 01:11 PM

Joy in WI writes, " I still think that in the back of her head, Keesha has a plan to backdoor Libra. "

Me too. I think Keesha's smart. And I think she knows that if she's going to put Libra up, it has to be backdoor. And that if there is no backdooring this week, there is no benefit to even discussing Libra as an option and potentially incurring her wrath.

BUT - - now what I'd really like is for Angie to win POV and then for Michelle to go up against Jessie. Either one of those can leave this week and I'd be happy - - but Jessie is my first pick to go. His masturbative good-bye speech to Steven was the final straw. And I'm sick of looking at him. Keeping fingers crossed that there is not a muscle advantage to the POV this week.

Posted by: Coleen with one "L" at July 25, 2008 01:32 PM

Love the nominations..wouldn't miss either of the two..would like to see Shirtless go just so I wouldn't have to see him parading around so full of himself..

Posted by: SuzieQ at July 25, 2008 01:59 PM

Hey HD,

I'm thrilled on Keesha's nominations and YES she is aligned with the right group.

I will be a happy camper, when Jessie is gone.

Posted by: muffy1 at July 25, 2008 02:35 PM

I think Jessie's going to self-destruct with his attitude and rants about being put up. Everything is always about him. EWWW. Angie needs to win Veto to save herself, and then we'll see what Keesha is made of when she has to put someone else up.

I think Angie is playing a layed back game as her stategy, BUT, I think there's alot more to come from her. I'd love to see her win an HOH soon just to see "the bitches" kiss her ass.

I'd also LOVE to see Renny win HOH because I really think she can stir things up in there with her own mindset and not everyone else's influence. Renny sees alot but doesn't say alot unless it's directed at her. I like this girl!

At first I thought Michelle was getting over on Keesha when they talked in HOH, but now I see Keesha is on to her shananigans. Michelle kisses up to whomever is HOH in hopes of becoming there best friend (for the week). I do think she is trouble. Same with Memphis. They both seem to have others do their dirty work.

Posted by: djk at July 25, 2008 03:30 PM

I'm so happy that Jessie is one of the nominations but would have loved it even more if Libra was up there with him. I have to keep reminding myself that you can't get everything that you wish for.....

Go Angie Go and win POV then maybe Michelle or Libra will go up in your place.

Posted by: Shirly (ironsa) at July 25, 2008 03:34 PM

Looks like there moving BB back to Thursday nights. I like that

From HD - Me too!

Posted by: shawn at July 25, 2008 03:36 PM

I can't believe this early in the season that fans will not watch if the alliance they don't like wins HOH! Unlike most, I do not hate Michelle/Jessie/Memphis. I think they're very strong and dedicated to winning. They seem more mentally stable than the other alliance. However, I like Libra's alliance also, so I'm in a perfect position to enjoy BB this season! Yay! I liked Angie until she got so into Brian, that spoiled her for me, and I was ecstatic to see Brian go. Brian was so negative and cocky, and he encouraged the same from others, helping to ruin Steven and Angie's chances in the game.

Keesha would have been smarter to nominate Michelle with Jessie, but she might get to put Michelle up if one of the others wins POV. Her noms are really pretty solid against the other alliance. The loss of "not so loyal" Angie will not hurt that alliance much.

Posted by: Dee H. at July 25, 2008 04:04 PM

Lexar writes, "Finally, caution to those oy you who think Jessie is stupid..don't let the buffed bod detract you from the clever brain."

No. His chess strategy is less than impressive. His strategy to talk about how great he is at every opportunity is less than impressive. His strategy of following the will of the house is less than impressive. His strategy of claiming to be the best at competitions, and then not winning any more of them, is less than impressive. His strategy of demanding respect because of a HOH win is less than impressive.

He may THINK he's all that . . . but he's not.
