Big Brother 10 New Commercial!

Now I'm all excited!

I just saw a new commercial for Big Brother 10 and it got me all tingly with anticipation. Is it really less than a month until BB10 starts up? Don't answer because I know it is but it's so weird having another season this soon again. It's just taking a little getting used to. And I LOVE that!

I'll link up the commercial as soon as I can but I just couldn't help sharing my excitement with all of you.

BB8 and BB9 weren't all that they could have been and there are rumors that this upcoming season of BB10 will be an old vs. young kinda season. How well will that work? I have no idea. I just know that I'm tired of seeing Barbie & Ken dolls prance around all day on the feeds. But then, I know most of you are the same way.

I adore Big Brother and that will never change but you all know me well enough to know that I'd like to see some "real" people. I don't care if they're old, young, fat, skinny, purple, orange, whatever. Give me some people that I want to watch and could provide me with entertainment.

Your thoughts?

Update on 6/18 - Good news everybody! For BB10, there will be live weekly elimination shows (as always) but there will also be a LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE for each of those shows!!! You can check out the info for yourself right here. Did you click it yet? If so, perhaps you then went and clicked on the link to check out the show dates they'll be needing that live studio audience. Notice anything peculiar? The first eviction will be on July 16th! Just three days after the season premieres on July 13th and, if the schedule sticks like in previous seasons, approximately 6-7 days after the hamsters first entered the house. I'm super excited about the live studio audience for the evictions and really hope that this season of Big Brother will go back to its roots some and perhaps even adopt some of the ways of BBAUS and BBUK. Woohoo!

Oh, and here are the links to the BB10 commercials that have aired so far:
Promo #1 (from end of April 2008)
Promo #2 (aired June 12, 2008)
Promo #3 (aired June 16, 2008)
Promo #4 (aired June 17, 2008)
Promo #5 (also aired June 17, 2008 - slightly different from #2)

I with you on the "real" people. I tired of the models :(

I have checked your site periodically since the end of BB9, to see what's up and how delightful to see you again! Having a good summer so far HD? Good on this end..
So excited to finally hear word of BB10. Oh please let there be no Amber's, ED's, Nats, Chelsia's or Danielle's. Can we please have some people that don't feel the need to spue the 'F' word every 5 seconds. May ones religion please be kept to theirselves. May we see some persons with a little self restraint, and keep the porn off my real player! Of all the millions of sites for porn, I don't tune into BB to see it! And for sure bring us some REAL people like BBAUS, not the 20 year olds with little to none, life experiences beyond sex.... Other than that, BRING IT! I can't wait!!
Am leaving on a short vacation with the kids Saturday for a week and it's unbelievable that when I return it will be about 2 weeks to kick off. Wasn't going to take the laptop, but perhaps I will just to see what else you have found.
Looking forward to a great season AG. Hope you have been listening and reading regarding your errors of BB8 & BB9!
As always HD, you are on top of things. Thanks

PS. Wondering if one of our Silly Hamster residents made the show? Hope so... If not, let us know how the ordeal of trying to get in went.

PSS. Rest in Peace Tim Russert. You were the only political analysist worth listening to.

When's the actual date of the start? and do we know the schedule for it? sun-tues-wed or sun-tues-thurs.

From HD - BB10's start date is July 13th. At the end of BB9, I'd read that BB10's schedule was going to stay the same (Sun, Tues, Wed) but I don't know if that's still the case.

Posted by: RedHead at June 18, 2008 03:34 PM

I read on another blog that the eviction will now have a live audience (like bbaus and bbuk), do you know anything about that?

From HD - How funny! I was just updating this post when you commented about that! What do you think about the live audience Lauren?

Posted by: Lauren at June 18, 2008 04:18 PM

Diff, you said it all with regard to the pet peeves I too, have had watching the last couple of seasons of houseguests.

And in addition, let there be rules that are actually enforced! Give everyone a fair playing field, and let the hamster games begin! I don't want to see any hint of producer favoritism.

We had a couple of people in the Silly Hamster comment crew that were applying for the upcoming season. Did we have any successes?? Come on gang, you know who you are.

Thanks HD, for the heads up on the date. Have not seen the promo commercial yet, so am looking forward to the 13th, and getting together with the whole gang out here before, during, and afterward.

From HD - Promo links have been added to the post. :)

I'm soo excited! There's been next to nothing on TV lately, so I'm anxiously awaiting the start of BB10. Thanks for all the info HD! :D

Im thinking the live audience thing is going to play into the "theme" of this years show. That along with fans being in a commercial. Not sure what it means but im thinking it means something.

Posted by: shawn at June 19, 2008 10:48 AM

I'm pretty excited about the live audience. I really like how BBAUS and BBUK have the live studio audience...actually I really like how those two BB's do everything with the fun tasks and such, the only thing that I don't like is how they can't talk about the game and really play it like US does. Like you said hopefully BBUS will adopt some BBUK and BBAUS ways.

Posted by: Lauren at June 19, 2008 03:38 PM

Hey HD great infro as always.I am not to sure how I feel about the live audience?? I do think that maybe the audience will have some sort of say in the show, like maybe deciding or voting for a certain task that one or more HG has to perform?? I also agree on PLEASE give us some real people that want to play the game and leave the porn and f-bomb out of play!!! Take care HG and again look forward to all u have to say and July 13th can't get here fast enough and hope one or more SH crew make it on the show...

count down to the only thing that can beat the summertime blues !!!!

also how did you get to see the international BB shows?

ali:)

From HD - For the international BBs, check out YouTube. ;)

Off topic here but Im coming to Texas on Sat. Never been on a plane after 36 years lol. But were going to go to 6 flags over Texas. Then go visit my wifes parents for a week. Im pretty hyped never really even been out of Oregon lol

From HD - Have fun in Texas! Watch out for all of the cows, horses, and oil wells. J/K :)

Posted by: Shawn at June 20, 2008 08:29 AM

Shawn, Have a great time. Dallas, Forth Worth, Austin? Where ever, a great 'flat' state, but no where near as beautiful as your own Oregon. Worked there (Dallas)for a short time after college and had a hoot! Lots of night life... Sometime ago thou... Hear there are some die hard BB fans there! Ya think HD? Plane's a breeze, and no other way to get somewhere fast... Out of here in the AM myself. Can't wait to get a Rolling Rock in one hand and a lounge chair under my butte and soak in the lake view... Catch ya back here for some BB action...

Posted by: diff at June 20, 2008 02:56 PM

Where and when do we get to see a peek of the BB10 house before they get in there?

Posted by: brenda at June 20, 2008 09:23 PM

Glad to "see" some regulars already on site...may the show be better (has to be) than BB9 and may all the repartee on the site be just as good as ever!! Waiting with you all.

I saw the promo for the first time tonight and had to come to Silly Hamsters to get the inside skinny! It's so good to be back. Counting down the days.

Okay - - I saw Natty and Matty on the promo. Is this gonna be like Survivor Fans vs. Faves - - so they bring back some old houseguests and mix in some new? 'Cause after the All-Stars, I'm ALL OVER watching repeat houseguests. I'm done with them all. Don't want to see them again inside the house. Ever. All they did was talk about their possible future appearances and gigs. And how they wanted to take souvenirs with them that they could sell on eBay. And I don't want to see Natty or Matty no more. Amber? I might have to hurt someone. There isn't a single houseguest - - even ones that I LIKED, that I want to watch again.

Okay - maybe my rant is for naught. I'm going to go watch the trailers HD has linked and hope that they suggest my worries are for naught.

Posted by: Coleen with one "L" at June 21, 2008 12:02 AM

Okay. Watched all the promos. I'm scared. Looks like there's gonna be some repeats. Is Will actually going to be returning? Marcellas? Is it really that hard to find 13 NEW guests that they have to recycle old ones?

And didn't they start with more guests than 13 in prior seasons? I thought it was 16?

I'm about a 2-hour drive from the studio. I'm gonna try and get tickets to one of the shows. Anyone else gonna go? Maybe we could all pick the same date and have a "Silly Hamsters" reunion of sorts! ;-)

From HD - If any of y'all ever do that, send me pictures to post for everybody! :)

Posted by: Coleen with one "L" at June 21, 2008 12:14 AM

ok....here goes...SQUEEEEEEE

I am so excited for BB10..but like everyone else, I hope it isn't a Fan/Favs type show..those suck!

I want no porn star wannabees!! LOL

Welcome Back HD!!

Posted by: recelee at June 21, 2008 01:31 PM

Coleen with one "L" - if I was closer I'd be up for a trip there, but I'm in soggy Wis... sigh. But hopefully there are other Silly Hamster affectionado's that can join you. That would be a blast.

Hmmm, maybe I wasn't giving the promo's the same viewpoint as you. I thought they were just picking snapshot views for phrases to attach to the upcoming season. It didn't dawn on me that that it may be the oldies and not so goodies returning. Blech if they do. Puuleeeeasssseeee no!!!

Have fun in TX Shawn, and hopefully diff will be fine drinking and sitting at the lake! Ditto SuzieQ good to "see" you too.

Only a few weeks away, looking forward to BB10 and all that goes with it.

Posted by: Sleepyeye9 at June 21, 2008 02:02 PM

HD!!!! Great to see ya!
Hi everyone!
Looking forward to this season of BB!
Life has been ever so boring!
The spots scare me tho! I cringed every time Natty opened her mouth, and then my son brings home a girlfriend with the same screech! Ughhhhh!
And then the spots show Natty?
I am scared!
Glad to see everyone!

I LOVE Allstars shows, remember how good BB Allstars was and (both) Survivor Allstars.
I would love to see old BB alum on again, even the ones I did not like.
They are still fun to watch.

Old Vs Young..... hmmm, not so sure on that one.
How does that work? Its not like Survivor where there are tribes, BB is an Individual game so I dont get how they could be Old VS Young??

Heres my question, Is the Live Audience REALLY Live? Meaning are they in the same room as the HGs or are they like Julie where they see them on a TV screen?

Bc if REALLY live in the same room, then YES, I'd def drive up from San Diego to see a taping.

But if its just like Julie where you see them on a TV screen, then why not just see them on your TV screen at home?

Any idea, HD?

From HD - I'm thinking live as in same room/auditorium. That's the feeling I'm getting anyway.

Posted by: Tamara at June 23, 2008 02:20 PM

Hmmmmm.... makes me wonder if there will be any live studio audience participation?!?!?! Could the audience vote to evict someone...save someone with a special audience pov...put someone on slop. Now that would be interesting!!! Have you heard anything like that HD? I mean really if they are not going to participate whats the point of having them there??

From HD - No idea if the studio audience will play a special role or not.

Posted by: bearfan28 at June 24, 2008 09:44 AM

So looking forward to BB10 and reading this blog and everybody's comments. Just wanted to say to those who are thinking because of the commercials that this might be another All Stars edition, it's my recollection that every year the commercials leading up to the premiere show past contestants. So I sure wouldn't make that assumption just on the basis of the commercials. Though, for me, there are certainly some past HGs I'd like to see again, but I also agree with Coleen's comments about the return HGs and their self-promotions. But can't wait to see how it all unfolds!

From HD - Excellent points Pat!

Posted by: Pat at June 25, 2008 10:33 AM

Not so sure about audience participation. Didn't like the whole "America's Player" twist. It would be fun to have the audience choose the HOH challenge every week though. The houseguest would be informed about 3 different games and need to prepare for all but only one is chosen. I would drive down from SF to be in that audience.

I agree with most here that bringing hampsters back is not good. Bring in some people who can think for themselves and have some actual strategy.

I have been checking this site weekly like a lost dog. The wait is almost over. FINALLY!!!!!

Posted by: Jeff G at June 25, 2008 05:40 PM

Pat - - I might be reassured, except for the promo tag line: "Together Again." The "again" part is what makes me a bit queasy.

Posted by: Coleen with one "L" at June 30, 2008 05:21 AM

I am a proud american so I really hope thet bb doesnt do anything the other countries do. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for even watching other countries you bunch of traders.

From HD - What are we trading?

Posted by: Kim at July 9, 2008 01:26 AM

what are you trading, hello you are watching other countries bb that is treason.

From HD - Oh, you're calling me a traitor! I got it now. Your spelling of that word threw me off a little bit there. Why do you care that I watch Big Brothers from other countries? As you can easily see, I watch the American one as well. And treason? Would you suggest I be hanged or should it be death by a firing squad??? Go away troll! LMAO!!!

I first had panic attacks when I was 21, and it has been seven years since that time... I'm taking Xanax for years and it has been extremely habit forming to me, and I am heavily depend on medication! I'm searching for alternative anxiety relief system that may help me gain complete recovery. I saw many of us have great result with natural online panic therapy, I speculate if these kind of therapy truly do works?

Last few days, I stumble on this web site - Panic Relief, and I do not know if this is what I'm attempting to find. It introduced 3 online programs that I never heard about, I ponder if anybody had any experience?

Should I continue to take medicine or try alternative remedy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated...!

I Just relocated to my SWEET studio apartment overlooking the East River. Instead of going to Ikea or wal mart and beginning to haul and (even worse) begin to put together one of these crazy things, I found my Entertainment Center on MilesGershon.com, these guys emailed me jpegs of my entertainment center in all different angles, (which for me was important, because I needed to know how the inside of the Wall Unit would look like. Anyways: I make the order and (finally) as promised 10 days later, my unit arrives, the guys put it together, and then ask me to sign off on the installation, then they take out the boxes and made sure the area was clean. I thought customer service was dead in the age of the internet. Hats off to these guys. I urge you all to put out a positive review on folks that actually provide some level of good service these days. I'm happy to write a POSITIVE review for a change!

Cheers

Nancy
