A Sign?

Well folks, it seems as though we finally know how CBS might be planning on getting away with keeping us in the dark when it comes to who is evicted and who wins the first part of the HOH which will be shown later today. Perhaps we won't even know who wins the second part of the HOH as well until the live show airs on Wednesday and we (the live feed watchers) find out right along with the vanilla TV show viewers.

You don't know what I'm talking about? Well do me this favor then. I know many people use BB Reloader and/or a few other programs to watch the feeds so, if you're one of those people, close out those windows. Now, start your RealPlayer and go over to the Big Brother tab. Then click on the link to watch the feeds (if you want to ask Dick and Janelle questions in chat on Thursday, this is the way you'll do that as well). Once you have that going, check out the player. Notice something different? You should! Check out that "Watch Replay" button at the top of the video feed. Click on that to take a trip back in time. Yeah, you're seeing things right. You're watching what happened at the beginning of this season. Now click "Watch Live" to go back to real time. Of course, if you already watch the feeds through the Real Player and are watching them now then you should be seeing that button already.

Now the cynic in me remembers what happened back in Big Brother 6. I wasn't none too happy when CBS decided to cut the feeds to keep us from finding out: Janelle winning the POV (she was the HOH at the time as well), her taking Maggie off the block and putting Ivette up in her place, Jennifer being evicted, Beau winning HOH, and Beau's nominations of Howie and Rachel. Yeah, we missed finding out about all of that. So like I said in the first paragraph of this post, perhaps this is CBS' way of appeasing the live feed viewers and giving us something to watch to keep us in front of our computers. But we all know that Grodner could care less about the live feed viewers and all she really cares about is the TV show itself.

The optimist in me believes that maybe we're just being thrown a bone here. The action on the feeds has been kind of lacking lately so maybe CBS is just giving us a bigger assortment to choose from. Who knows?

Either way, I'll be emailing somebody at Real Networks today to find out what's going on and will update this post when I get an answer.

Until then, what is your opinion on all of this?

ETA at 10:59 AM - I've been told by a nice person at Real that the feed replay is starting now so that they have time to get the entire season replayed before Big Brother 10 starts. My thought on that is, very convenient for CBS don't ya think?

Gotta say Big Sis all of that confused me so to sum it up everyone who has the live feeds CBS has some how fixed it so you CAN NOT see the things before the show, correct?

From HD - This only primarily affects the people that subscribe to the live feeds. If you don't watch the live feeds then yes, this post will be very confusing to you. But how it will affect you is that there won't be any live feed updates because the people watching the live feeds won't be able to see what's going on in live time in the house.

I don't have the live feeds but I do watch BBAD so I wonder if they'll cut that as well and show a movie or something. I don't remember them ever doing that before but I don't think they've ever not done all the evictions live, have they?

HD. It's 9am. I haven't had my coffee yet. And I barely have a clue what you are talking about since I am a luddite and don't have BB Reloader or the feeds. Nevertheless, I eagerly await the outcome of all this after your convo with Real Player.

And since I am the only one on here who actually kind of likes her, I send my love and support to our Dear Lady of the Elongated Vowels Sounds and Mispronounced words. May the news of the GP's relationship produce a miracle for her. Go Sheila.
