Up, Down, And All Around
After one very full night of watching the feeds, I can say with confidence that I can't stand two more people. Joining Ma Kennedy in HamsterDame's corner of contempt is Parker and Jen.
Parker's ego is so overblown that it isn't even funny. His wearing that king's crown didn't help with my impression of him either. All I kept seeing was a black version of Dustin from last season. And Jen? She's just flat out annoying. First of all, she was stupid enough to spill the beans about her and Ryan being in a real life relationship to a couple of the girls who then, of course, went on to tell everybody else. Secondly, her crying and boohooing has got to go.
As far as the rest of the hamsters go, they certainly like their drink don't they? Allison, Amanda, and Natalie were all a bit tipsy. It helps make for some damned good drama though!
Speaking of drama, let's get caught up on things so far in the house. Sharon and Jacob are gone. They were the first couple to be evicted and I guess we'll find out why on tonight's show. Amanda and Alex are the new Power Couple. Nominations have not been held yet (which means POV hasn't happened yet either) but it seems that the gay couple of Joshuah and Neil along with the crazy couple of James and Chelsia are the ones most in danger at the moment.
Other thoughts? There's an upstairs and downstairs alliance which I still haven't figured out yet. I really love the way the house looks on the feeds. I was hoping things would get steamy in the sauna because I wanted to see if the cameras would fog up but I guess there's plenty of time for that. Nudity or almost nudity is definitely not a problem with the hamsters this season. You thought last season's Jen looked skanky? Some of this season's ladies put her to shame!
I have a great feeling about this season. This soul mates twist is one I can definitely get behind. I can't wait to see how Big Brother is going to play it further down the road though.
So what do you think about your first night of feed-watching? How well are you doing on matching up faces with voices yet? LOL

I thought that I liked Parker, but after watching the feeds awhile longer, you are right, Dustin the 2nd! Jen reminds me a bunch of Danielle, as does Sheila. I have to add one more to the dislike list though, that being Ryan. Way too overbearing and protective of that snot of his. Unforunately, to get rid of him, goes an innocent bystander! Too bad, as being from the Cleveland area, would have liked to have gotten behind a 'home' couple. Not to be!!!
Ma is up now, washing dishes and drinking coffee. Wonder if she comes to see today of what a bitch she was???
Something else caught my attention last night on the feeds. Ma, and I think it was Allison???, talking about their own secret and whether it was time to reveil it or not. Could we have our first lesbian couple in the house, or was it just drunk talk???
Anyways, very interesting night.

Ohhhh gooody their baaaaaaack!! After spending most of my morning catching up, I have to say that this is going to be a very INTERESTING season. It's too early to tell just yet who are my favs, but I do tend to like those who are the underdogs, or those who seem to have most heart. BUT we shall see! I kinda felt sorry for Jacob, he was wearing his heart on his sleeve on last night's airing, and clearly his ex was not having any part of him. As for "Ma" and her mate Adam, I felt bad for him clearly she showed her distain from the get go. I'm leaning towards her to being out, but shoot that also means he will go.
aww the drama of it all!
How exciting this will be....

Well I cant watch feeds(old computer) But after watching lastnight at first I thought Jen should tell Parker about her relationship then build an alliance with Parker and Ryans couple thing. Guess I was way off looks like Parker is the evel one this year.

I agree with your take on Jen and Parker - - except that they turned it around later in the night. He became more humble and she stopped crying and got smart, realizing she just might have to vote out Ryan if she wants to stay in the game herself. If this turn-around is legitimate, I'll give them another chance.
I also thought that Ryan and Allison were going to be on the chopping block - - but I stopped watching the feeds at around 3 a.m.. Since Ryan and Jen will be voting as a block, hopefully, it might make sense to keep both of them intact on your alliance until such time as they become a liability (i.e. after the rest of the house is gone).
Okay - - the upstairs alliance as I understand it was Jen / Parker, Amanda / Alex and . . . either Natalie or Matt, or James and Chelsia. At one point during the feeds Jen, Parker, Amanda, Alex, Natalie and Matt were all upstairs and the rest were downstairs. They talked about their alliance of six, and I believe that Parker considers Alex and Matt to be "his boys"? But, there was also talk that Chelsia and James had been in on the original alliance and Natalie and Matt had not - - but Natalie and Matt inserted them into their discussions while James and Chelsia weren't around, and that might have shifted things.
NOW - - I'm really interested in this "lesbian alliance" claimed to exist between Allison and Sheila. Apparently, according the AD runner, the two have been "dating" for 14 years. If true, that means Allison, at the age of 14, was dating Sheila, then 32. Wouldn't that make Sheila a child sexual predator? Is this another "twist" or one of BB's Dirty Little Secrets? Or just a way for Sheila and Allison to position themselves on stronger grounds? Either way, I'm intrigued by the added level of complication such a pairing would offer.

Hey Hamsterdame,
Great Job as always!!! It's wierd to be watching BB in the dead of winter but I think it help me cope with these bitter temps.
Speaking of bitter, do you know why there was a change in the power couple? I thought Parker and Jen were supposed to do nominations?
I can only guess why Sharon and Jacob were evitcted. Sharon looked like she wanted to crawl out of her skin.
Thank HD, I know I can always count on you to keep me up to speed.

I watched BBAD last night....This makes me miss last years BB houseguests. Quite a few of the new HG are really annoying. I liked Parker on the show but then on BBAD, I agree with the sentiment that I was watching Dustin the 2nd.
Can you imagine Evel Dick in this house? Him in a house full of Jens! I'll be interested to get his takes on Housecalls whenever that starts.
I have a feeling I'm not gonna like this years BB. I like the concept of the couples but I really don't like the HG like I have in the past.

I think we should all refer to Sheila as "Ma" from now on. Not only to make her mad when she goes back and reads the blog but also because she made a point during introductions to announce that she is a mother. If she had behaved better I might feel kindlier toward her but not now after watching her tantrum.

Hmmmm after the first episode of 'After Dark' I am not left with any real hate or love for anyone. Some people had little annoyances like Amanda's little fights to keep her shirts neckline wherever she felt was the perfect position over her shoulder.
Thanks Hamsterdame for a little bit of clearance about the issue of how the knowledge of Ryan and Jen being a couple got out. That was bugging me the whole time as the drama ensued. The way Parker seemed to be blurting this and that wherever/whenever without any rhyme or reason he looked as if he could have easily accidently let the cat out of the bag. Which if was the case would definitely make him a possible problem for any alliance but the way he was carrying on seemed to make him a risk anyway to his alliance. Even though he seemed to reel himself in by the end of the three hours he will likely be a loose cannon. We will see in the coming days.
As far as other observations. The little ticker tape during the show about the lesbian alliance left me scratching my head since it made it sound like the house knew about there 'relationship' which would raise more of a red flag to me when you are dealing with a multi-year relationship vs a 9 month or whatever it is one. Though it could be simply an issue of lying maybe they came out with it when questioned if anyone knew someone else in the house. Maybe they didn't hide it and thus are not being as targeted. Jen looks to have been pegged as a liar by many in the house and is part of the reason for the drama I think. *shrug* Basicly I didn't get the after dark ticker and grasping at straws.
Since it looked to be a little bit of an issue on players minds when it comes between Parker/Jen and Allison/Ryan I would want to get rid of Allison/Ryan first since Parker and Jen have come off like such a wreck. Could hurt when it comes to the mental side of the game and could effect their game play which makes them a little more appetizing to me to keep around. The other two have come of like a rock which could hurt them in some players eyes.
Anyway, tonights CBS episode should be interesting though and will hopefully put some of the puzzle pieces into the puzzle of what led to some of last nights happenings and the after dark ticker make some sense.

First of all, I'm so freakin' excited for BB to be back on this soon! Now, about those crazy hamsters... I was saddened to find out earlier that Jacob & Sharon were evicted-- but not surprised at all. I really thought they could work through their past, but guess it was just too painful for her. When I first saw the initial Amanda interview, I thought she was an idiot, but after watching her last night gettin' hammered, I began to realize I was really going to enjoy her craziness! Jen, on the other hand, already cant stand her! Desparetly seeking attention! And yeah, Ryan is a jealousy freak. Why would you even go on the show in the first place with your girlfriend and not expect something might happen. Oh, and I really thought I was going to appreciate having Sheila in the house- bringing in some maturity. LOL!!! She is a seriously shallow, mean hearted ho! She acts as if BB picked her partner and was making them have sexual relations. Ha! She's on the show-- what she needs to be doing is focusing on winning by staying within the rules which were given. She really needs to get over herself. With regards to that coupling- if I was Adam- I'd be freaking out on her. She's gross! Maybe 20 yrs ago she might've been a hot penthouse pet of the year but I dont see any evidence of that now. And Matt- he is just a horndog- for him to think he could show her (Ma) a couple of things almost made me burp throw up in my mouth! Loving Alex right now!! I thought Allison's secret is her gambling addiction- it never occured to me about the lesbian twist-- but maybe thats when I wasnt watching. O well either way it turns out I'm am just so thankful to everyone for bringing it back so soon!

HI HD,
I've been up all night watching the feeds and have a different opinion about Jen and Parker. I like both of them. When Parker appologized to Jen last night, and they worked out their differences, which was caused by a big misunderstanding, they got my vote. Parker isn't the ego jerk he first appeared to be. How did you find out who got evicted? I been watching all day, and as of 6pm est no eviction had taken placed. Maybe my feed is delayed. lol
Anyway this is going to MUCH better than BB8!
From HD - Where have Sharon and Jacob been hiding then? Seriously though, they talked about how they evicted them last night. They even mentioned possibly naming the guinea pigs after them.

Why, why, why?
There are a million better options than repeating questions from seasons past and playing the incessant theme music over and over when they take the feeds down. In case anyone is lurking from CBS, here are some suggestions:
1. Put the camera on the HAMSTERS in the tank. WITHOUT any music. Just hamster noises.
2. Tell us when the feeds will be back on - - so we don't keep listening for hours thinking any minute they'll be back.
3. Show the space shuttle again. With space sounds.
4. Replay the "greatest moments" from BB's past.
5. Play COMMERCIALS! Honestly - - I'd rather hear commercials than the theme music! Anything but the theme music!
6. Show pictures of missing children.
7. Show pictures of wanted criminals.
8. Show video tapes of applicants who didn't get chosen for the show.
9. Air CBS news clips.
10. Show outtakes and bloopers from CBS shows.
That's 10. 999,990 to go. But I don't want to hog all the electrons. Anyone else have some ideas? CBS obviously doesn't and they need our help.

Hi HD -- Forgive me for asking what may be a silly question, but if the houseguests had never met each other before the first day they met on the front steps of the house (Julie said they had never met) then how did that picture of them all together in the hot tub get taken? I saw that picture a week ago online. Thanks so much - you are the only one I could think might be an expert on this sort of thing.
Thanks again!
From HD - That pic of them in the hot tub was taken after they entered the house for publicity purposes. Remember, they entered the house on the 7th and not last night.

Parker makes me want to puke... Jen does not bother me that bad I feel bad for her, but if she had kept her mouth shut about her boyfriend she woulda been cool. I really feel that Jen and Ryan should have planed this out more, dont you think they seemed unprepared? Parker is totally obnoxious. All this talk about HIS BOYS... Alex will stab in the back real quick, and Parker is saying that he loves him and will have this groups back till the end... and how about Allison, she should really not be drinking, she made an ass outta herself. If I had to hear "can i tell you something" out of her mouth one more time. Jen and parker are trying to talk and sloppy Allison comes walkin in "Allison can we have a minute" ... "yeah but let me just say one thinggg" eww she is gross.. Amanda needs to relax as well, constantly pulling her sholder out and talking nonstop... What is with this casting this year?!?!?!?!
