Things Couldn't Be Crazier

I swear. This season of Big Brother is hopping with excitement!

Josh and Sharon won the POV this afternoon and it wasn't long after that Sheila became a crazy woman. Sheila was upset that Allison was running around the house telling everybody that she had a yeast infection. I know, I know. Women.

Eventually, Sheila and Allison had it out. I'm talking full blown yelling and screaming and pointing fingers at each other. It was madness made even funnier watching the others in the house listen in. If you didn't see it, you can trust me on this. The folks at least three sets over must have heard them arguing. They eventually kissed -- I mean hugged -- and made up. But only after Sheila blamed Amanda for telling Natalie. So once again, it was all Amanda's fault.

And speaking of Amanda? She's been complaining that she didn't feel good and needed some sugar. I guess Big Brother didn't take her serious enough and she wound up passing out in front of the Diary Room. It took BB close to a minute before they realized it was serious enough to switch the feeds to Trivia. But Amanda had already come to and began seizing and gasping for breath in the meantime.

Here is the video of Amanda fainting for those who missed it. Here is another view of what happened.

I really really hope that Amanda's OK in this crazy house tonight.

ETA at 7:22 PM - Amanda must be OK because people are the hot tub now talking about the things that happened. Josh, one of the many that helped her, hit the emergency button that caused the police and paramedics to come.

ETA at 7:45 PM - Apparently, Allison had an allergic reaction at about the same time as the paramedics and cops showing up because she ate a peanut. I have no idea if she'd had this reaction before with peanuts so I'm sorry I can't give you any more info at this time concerning that. So yes, it appears we are down two ladies in the Big Brother house tonight. Wow.

ETA at 10:01 PM - Amanda is back in the house. Everybody is hugging her and telling her they're glad she's back. They even just cut off her hospital bracelets. Allison is still MIA.

ETA at 10:17 PM - Allison is back now. She said she had an allergic reaction to what she doesn't know. They're doing tests on her tomorrow.

OMG! Thank you so much for commenting on this! I am really thinking they (BB) needs to stop the Slop all together forever- If she is hypoglycemic- BB could have caused her to fall out like that! How horrible! I hope Amanda is okay! Poor thing! I feel so bad for her! When someone has a low blood sugar problem- thats exactly what happens- even a coke or candy bar could've helped- but they would'nt allow her?? thats crazy-- BB should've known about this being a problem for her with all the background checks they do!

Posted by: Lisa at February 22, 2008 07:09 PM

OK. I tend to think this is just histrionics. I am a diabetic as well as a nurse and have treated many a kid with diabetes. When you seize you do not "gasp" for breath like that. If she was truly hypoglycemic you do not "come to" you stay in your current state till they get your blood sugar back up. So I just have to say PUH-LEASE. I may be wrong but.......I don't think so.

Posted by: Diane at February 22, 2008 07:25 PM

OKAY! WTF!!! Now I just read that Amanda is out of the house and something happened to Allison as well-- Like she was all swollen and had hives! Whats going on?? Are Jen and Parker in Sequester or what- could they be coming back! OMGOMGOMG! They really need to need to think about putting on a Friday night show! I hope that I'm wrong but thats what I read on Jokers Update!! Please investigate Miss HD.

As a former EMT in the Navy I've seen my fair share of "fakers". And not to be insensitive to the situation if it serious. I do think the fall was staged. The video didn't show the fall but I was watching it live as it happened and even rewinded the real live feed to watch it again. No one who truly faints hits their knees and then puts their forearms down to break their fall. They fall flat on their face and I've seen bloody noses and busted lips. If she was truly hypoglycemic she would have had more symptoms prior to the sudden fainting.

What are the symptoms?
The symptoms can vary depending on how low the blood sugar level drops.
Mild hypoglycemia can cause nausea, a jittery or nervous feeling, cold and clammy skin, sweating, hunger, and a rapid heartbeat.
Moderate hypoglycemia often makes you feel irritable, anxious, or confused. You may have blurred vision, feel unsteady, and have difficulty walking.
Severe hypoglycemia can lead to loss of consciousness, seizures, and coma-and it may be fatal.

And no where have I ever seen a hypoglycemia gasping like an asthma attack. Again not to be insensitive to the situation and I do hope all is well if it was more serious than what I perceived it to be.

Posted by: DocF at February 22, 2008 07:39 PM

Why is it they seemed to have given the Donatos whatever they wanted and Amanda couldn't get a little sugar.
And by the way there are different types of seizures/people have different reactions. I don't believe she was faking this. I hope she's okay. Amanda is probably the only female, no person, in the house that I really like.
I know, I know, I'm in the minority.

Posted by: Cerenay at February 22, 2008 07:39 PM

I am glad I am not the first to say this, but someone give me a break!! Oh the drama abounds!! I could have seen Chicken George passing out from slop, but not this drama queen! How long has she been on slop? Oh thats right, not even 24 hours...

I have been a registered nurse for over 25 years, and oh and by the way, my son is 8, and diabetic. He could put on a better show than that!!

Gasping for air? Seizing?? Come now... Me thinks if even one part was real, it is because she realizes she is about to go on the block!!!

Posted by: diff at February 22, 2008 07:46 PM

Im so sorry for burning up the blogs and all-- but I will hate it if Amanda and Ally are actually out of the house for good! If all the developements are true-- do you think now BB will have it switched to singles... How is all of this going to affect the game- You know, before all this, I was having second thoughts about liking James-- but seeing his quick reactions with Amanda-- IDK- he's ok with me. Actually I think they were all quick thinking. Where was BB though? Dont they watch the hamsters like us?? Even if they thought she was faking-- why take that chance? And if she was faking - do you think she will have to leave the house cuz the panic button was pressed for her? OMG- I really need to get a life- Its Friday night and all I can think about is BB! LOL!

Posted by: Lisa at February 22, 2008 08:16 PM

You don't suppose BB9 planted fake contestants and they are supposed to leave the show for different reasons leaving the real contestants to compete? Till death do us part?

Posted by: Kaykel at February 22, 2008 08:22 PM

I just watched the video of 5 minutes leading up to this 'passing out'show! She was totally asymptomatic, filing her nails and trying to get some attention from Alex who wasn't giving any. Think she was not going to be out done by Allison's having an allergic reaction!! Drama Queen!

Posted by: diff at February 22, 2008 08:22 PM

My, my, my but we have some pretty judgemental individuals in this group tonight. Personally, I hope both are OK. Period. I am not going to play health care professional from a distance and make a diagnosis. Enough said, from my little hampster vantage point.

Posted by: Sleepyeye9 at February 22, 2008 09:19 PM

OK, I watched all the videos and Amanda is soooooooooo faking it. You do not flip over in the midst of a seizure. Do not pass go, do not collect your SAG card, do not expect an academy award nomination. She makes me sick.

Posted by: Diane at February 22, 2008 09:23 PM

BB just announced both will be back in the house shortly tonight. Good to hear that, wonder if any of this will make it on TV?

Posted by: BBFANTO at February 22, 2008 10:02 PM

Lmao @ Matty searching for a bowl for Natalie when she is sick and grabs a gigantic metal bucket and says 'what about this? Too dramatic?'

Posted by: Stephie at February 22, 2008 10:17 PM

OMG what drama! I was all like "edge of my seat" with this action. Thursday night we had stripping T&A, last night we had passing out and allergic reactions. Maybe tonight we'll see Adam get circumsized.

Posted by: Chuck at February 23, 2008 08:42 AM

Well another night of excitement in BB9...
You know the nurses and emt that commented on the Amanda situation.. All I can say is you sort of frighten me in your VIDEO diagnosis.. I have fainted and to be honest your bodies reaction is to protect before you BLACKOUT .. and Amanda was trying to do the same beforehand she bent over tellin Nat she really didn't feel good then walked more and then sort of collapsed. As for her so called "sympathy" card with Alex you claim she was attempting is BOGAS . She told him she needed sugar and tried to explain she needed more then what he suggested and DR didn't answer the door for her. She was NOT trying to get his attention! She is already ON THE BLOCK so that kills that little accusation of trying to stay off the block. No one on this Blog was there, you heard the hgs really take this to heart and feel for her.. you also are NOT Doctor's. To become so involved with this show and feed to the point where you make such RASH judgements on a Human's wellbeing is quite astonishing. Are some of you so much in 'game'mode that you just can't see beyond your favorite players? It sadden's me that some people will stoop to any means to call out what they want it to be rather then "LET IT BE".
You don't know the facts, you don't know what really did happen other then what all of us have seen so try to keep comments to yourself about 'faking'.. Every person is different in how they respond to seizures.. And the hg's did turn her over as well and just listening to James' discription of what Amanda looked like and how he really was scared as well as other hg's discriptions should allow for some 'letup' on what you are stating as her faking it. I am really surprised and Shocked at how low people will go to start a rumor for their own selfishness. You should be ashamed all those that have stated the faking. Amanda is a really nice person. She is in a game , and everyone of the hg's have played just as she has and like I said before it is not her fault she is in a house of ALL liars and NOT one TRUE alliance that is truthful. Who she thinks are her friends are not yet they pretend to be. She gives them information and well you all know that is not where it stops. It's all the game so to talk badly about her because you are looking for that scapegoat as everyone in the house is, does in NO way give anyone the right to say now She is FAKING IT ..
thanks
Darla

From HD - Nowhere in my post did I diagnose Amanda. Jeez! Also, people are allowed their opinions just as much as you are yours. And for what it's worth, you weren't in the house either.

Posted by: darla at February 23, 2008 09:06 AM

glad both girls are okay. boy, what these peeps won't do to get attention!!...just kidding.
the bigger issue for me is shiela. WTH!!! seriously this woman...i use that word loosely...has got to be the craziest hg ever in bb history. the drama that she laid out last night before and after the girls became ill was over the top to the extreme, especially after they came back. these girls both had something traumatic happen to them (fake or not) and all this woman could think of was herself. is she for real or is she acting...badly? either way, she is a nut case. say what you want about the rest of these hg, they all seem to be from the "other side of town" but she is supposed to be the "older more put together" hg. i don't know, she is either a really good actress and is putting on crazy for the cameras or she is actually the most narcissistic person i have seen in a very long time. i am so glad the hg are realizing this before she gets to far in the game...matt and nat need to go this week but send shiela and her perverted partner home next week...please!!!

From HD - I know! It was all about Sheila. Poor Sheila and her yeast infection. Poor Sheila with a sorry partner. Poor Sheila. Blech! That woman needs to go!

Posted by: calie44 at February 23, 2008 09:13 AM

I agree with Darla on this.

Posted by: sandic at February 23, 2008 09:19 AM

HD, As shown below I was speaking of the posters.I never said you said that.

"You know the nurses and emt that commented on the Amanda situation.. All I can say is you sort of frighten me in your VIDEO diagnosis.."

And you are correct.. I was not in the 'house' either.. (My point EXACTLY) NONE of us were .

Thanks for your reply
Darla

Well, I have mystery blackouts. All the doctors I have seen have no clue why it happens. I seize, I can't breathe, my blood pressure plummets and my heart races. Just because something doesn't look typical doesn't mean it isn't real. If sugar would have helped Amanda, it doesn't matter whether it was a normal hypoglycemic reaction.

Having never witnessed my own attacks, watching Amanda's was very emotional for me. I don't like the girl, but I feel for her.

Posted by: Joy in WI at February 23, 2008 10:55 AM

I am glad both girls are okay Amanda's voice was kinda getting on my last nerve but after all the attacks on her I feel bad for her . I think it would be funny to see Sheila and Adam end up falling for each other after all the FOOLISH REACTIONS . I didn't see this much reactions from ye all when Nat did her strip tease which I can't believe Matt was okay with ,but that may be part of his plan to get Nat to keep them off their game kinda sick I think . Its one thing to be in a dark club and be doing thatits another to be world wide maybe she will pursue a playboy career after BB.

Posted by: Trish at February 23, 2008 11:32 AM

Somebody will have to explain to me exactly how people, who have direct, personal experience with the condition that we were told caused Amanda to faint, offering an opinion that she was faking can in any way be construed as a "diagnosis." Their opinion, which I appreciate them sharing with the blog, was not relied on at all to determine what kind of medical treatment Amanda got. If the people who actually treated Amanda looked to Silly Hamsters to decide whether she was faking or not, I can see how there might be an issue. This is the same kind of stupid logic that causes idiots to accuse people who offer an opinion on the guilt of a criminal suspect, say O.J. for instance, as "convicting" the person without a trial.

Posted by: gray at February 23, 2008 12:17 PM

Haven't checked the feeds yet today, so I many be a little behind in the drama, but I'm pretty sure CBS/BB does a medical background on the hg's as well as psychological. So why didn't the hypoglycemia and peanut or food allergies come up? Or did Amanda and Allison not tell them? Seems to me that CBS/BB would have a nice lawsuit on their hands, should something happen to these girls. And with all the cameras and mics on all the time, someone would have heard Amanda say she needed to eat something and could have called her into the DR, so why didn't they? But I'm glad the emergency response was as quick as it was and that Josh knew where the panic button was.

Posted by: sobkeath at February 23, 2008 01:54 PM

There was an article in the Miami Herald yesterday about Adam and his comments on BB. Apparently, the foundation he mentioned working for is non-existent or bogus. The REAL autism foundation is investigating that one and Adam, too. Did you notice in his interview that he has a clothing line? He went to fashion school and apparently is a designer - too bad he doesn't know how to dress himself!

Posted by: sobekath at February 23, 2008 01:58 PM

What drama!!! OMG! Sheila was wacko last night though. Poor Nat is feeling like crap and in bed and Sheila just went on and on and on and on and on..........at least she finally talked to Adam.
I hope the Amanda and Ali are better today.

Remember when Amanda and Josh did the screaming match again for everyone in the BY? Didn't you see Amanada laughing and smiling through the whole thing? Luckily, she wasn't facing any of the other houseguests. Because of that, I don't think she was faking. Just my 2 cents.

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2008 03:33 PM

Well... I guess I have been told! Perhaps I should have followed up my statements with 'in my opinion', but then again, I thought that's what we did on this site.
How fortunate for Amanda that she is well. Sudden onset of seizures for no reason, blacking out for no sugar for a 24 hours period, and seemingly having respiratory difficulties, she's surely lucky she wasn't admitted to the hospital! But thats just my no nothing opinon! Surely she was followed up with some labs today as Allison.
Oh and by the way, when ED stood in the cold water for what, 7 hours, last year, I wrote many times on this very site, how I worried that the guy was going to have an MI. I could not stand that mans game play. Has notta to do with a favorite. This is a game. I don't know these people from Adam, but I do have opinions. We all do and they are posted right here!

Posted by: diff at February 23, 2008 05:03 PM

I think the whole Amanda thing is sad but if she was Hypoglycemic then it was up to her to go to the DR. and say I don't think I will be able to be on slop. She is responsible for her health and therefore needs to put that first and BB should know about that.Amanda said nothing like that has ever happened to her before so maybe the low sugar and the stress in the house brought it on.James said it so well last nite that he couldn't believe ppl were still in game mode after all that.James was very effected by it and says when Amanda comes back everyone will make like OMG we are all good friends and be so fake.Amanda is the one that causes all the gossip and then Deny's it she needs to go.Sheila is a psycho and only burning herself.

Posted by: donna at February 23, 2008 05:25 PM

I was watching all the YouTube clips from yesterday and today I am reasonably sure Amanda wasn't faking so are the doctors. This whole episode really seems to have shaken up James he doesn't seem quite right since it happened. I think he was honestly scared Amanda was going to die in his arms; he was quite upset with Chelsia afterwards as she had said Amanda was faking. He also said something about what Josh said about Amanda hanging herself then he said that goes to show you should really watch what you say something could happen and then you would really feel horrible.

Posted by: Trish at February 23, 2008 05:42 PM

What happened to slop? Everyone is eating tacos and burritos!

Posted by: diff at February 23, 2008 06:02 PM

I watched amanda before and during the emergency that happen last nite. my daughter has the same problem. and what i saw before she had the attack of low sugar, was exactly what my daughter goes thru before an attack. amanda was jumpy, disoriented, she told alex and then nat that she needed sugar. she headed for the diary door, and collapsed, it did take along time for BB to pay attention. as far as allison she was already in the diary room with a nurse, because of her allergy problem, allison was up in the hoh room for a long time eating out of the goody basket, i heard that a reation can come a half hour after eating what your allergic too. the time is right for her getting ill.
the reason BB didn't open the diary door, was because they already had allison in there.
thank god that they finally listen to the house guest about amanda. my daughter told me that amanda would of been a goner if she didn't get help. and my daughter doesn't watch big brother.
no one new that allison was in the diary room, so the person who said that amanda was trying to get attention was wrong, she didn't know allison was in there.
an do people really think that the paramedics would go alone with a fake, they don't take fakes to the emergency room which is where both allison and amanda were taken. and the docors would not give amanda pills to take for her condition if the condition did not exsist.
lets not be such doubting thomases, that we can't have compassion for someone that is ill.
thank you
terry

I so cant believe you guys, I am so for the girls-I was so worked up last night-OMG i thought that both of the girls would be offed so easily- i was watching late last night- i was so happy to find out that two of the girls were back in! Sorry to al the haters! but I really think something could happen here!

Posted by: LISA at February 23, 2008 07:48 PM

If Amanda has a driver's license, losing consciousness on national television should trigger a license suspension and a medical examination before she can get her license back.

I'm hypoglycemic and epileptic. I've never passed out from hypoglycemia, but low blood sugar is one of several stressors can trigger a seizure. Additionally, the dissipation of alcohol from the system, and lack of sleep, can also trigger seizures.

Posted by: Coleen with one "l" at February 24, 2008 05:30 AM

The drama continues..that is for sure. I found it very interesting that the 3 girls ( Amanda, Allison, and Nat) all had health issues within minutes of each other. First of all if Allison was on slop why was she eating a peanut? ( slop was better for her in this case, instead of the old PB &J punishment)Amanda is a drama queen, but I believe that she must have some medical issue going on. Nat suddenly felt ill and had a headache and had to lay down with a vomit bucket ( could this be more drama?) All in all, I hope the HGs are well, but I am highly suspicious of the timing and the "lack" of medical info on these guests. Just think, who would vote for eviction of a person whom just went through a medical crisis without seeming totally heartless. Looks like an opportunity to use the veto and to back-door another couple?

Posted by: shebart at February 24, 2008 10:37 AM

I was thinking HG were allowed agrementing the slop... like with Honey.. that would be plenty of sugar.
Also, why are the evicted HG already in sequester. Do BB plan to bring some back in.Normally only the jury got to go in sequester.

Posted by: blabla at February 24, 2008 11:09 AM

'In my opinion'; has anyone been watching the feeds? I have had them off and on over the last 24 hours quite a bit. Anyone else notice that Amanda could not be any closer to Sharon if she had been stapled to her? No matter when I turn them on, there is Amanda, right at Sharons side! hum.... I never saw her anywhere near Sharon until POV. Me thinks me smells a rat!! Hope Sharon is the player I think she is and doesn't fall for his!!!

Posted by: diff at February 24, 2008 02:22 PM

There once was a kingdom,
Ruled by a queen;
Everyone who lived there,
Could say what they mean;
But once the queen ate a berry, from a thorny bush,
All who disagreed with her,
Was told, to shut up and hush;
The free thinking people started to leave,
And the queen was left, with only those who agreed;
Instead of Utopia, the queen quickly learned,
All her bridges were closed and eventually burned.
Every fairy tale has a lesson, its true.
Its never nice, to be oh so cruel.
Big Brother is an example of such,
Thats why we like controversy, oh so much!

P.S. I know this wont be published.

From HD - Huh? I didn't appreciate someone bashing me for something somebody else said and that makes me the bad person? Oh well.
