Scandalous Confrontations!

Not bad Grodner, not bad at all. A second wonderful show in a row! Damn, I'm loving this season so much!

Can you believe Adam calling the autistic children he works with "retards"? And he's a Public Relations guy at that? I was glad that Sheila called him out on it. How could he not think it was offensive? Come on already. I wonder how the company he works for will feel about that when they find out. He obviously didn't watch last season and see all of Big Brother nation rise up against Whamber's anti-semitic remarks. Now back to Sheila. She may not have agreed with what he said but did she have to go and stir up the house over his comments? He's still your partner Ma Kennedy so just chill if you want to have a chance at the half million.

It's nice to finally know exactly how and why Sharon and Jacob were evicted. For those that missed it: Jacob said in front of Jen that somebody called Parker a heartless snake, Jen went inside and told Parker, Parker came out and confronted Jacob wanting to know who said it, and Jacob refused. So King Parker decided to call a house meeting right then and there to ask everybody who called him a snake. I can't believe he woke people up for this! Jacob wound up looking like a liar because he wouldn't say who said it and Sharon tried to do damage control later by letting Parker guess who said it (Ryan) but it was too little too late. Adios Sharon and Jacob! That sucks for Sharon! If Jacob still had any thoughts about getting back together with Sharon, he should probably give up on that little dream.

All of that led up to Jen and Ryan's relationship being outed because knowing that he called him a snake, Parker wanted to get rid of Ryan and Allison. Jen had to come clean and tell him that she wouldn't vote for them to go because he was her boyfriend. So then Ryan had to tell Allison which led to the teams being a block of four with nobody trusting the others. The weirdest thing out of all of this was Allison saying in the diary room that she thought she'd be better for Ryan than Jen is. You think Allison could be a little deluded?

It was great to see Eric and Jessica back in the house tonight even if it was only as hosts for the new Head of Household competition. They looked so cute! I probably shouldn't be calling Eric cute but he was. His little suit looked so nice on him. The HOH competition was a great one I thought. Modeled after The Newlywed Game (you young'uns out there should look for YouTube clips), each of the couples were tested in how well they know their soul mates. Amanda (in her too short booty shorts) and Alex wound up being the winners. There were lots of funny moments in the game but one of the best had to have been when Sheila shoved her boobs in Adam's face when she hugged him. I don't know about you but I don't shove my boobs into somebody's face I don't like. But then, perhaps her mammaries were needed a little attention.

What did you think about the show tonight? What was your favorite part? And how happy were you when you heard the voice-over guy at the beginning of the show say, "Previously on...?"

Thanks HD for the update, just got home from work so I'll have to watch it Thursday but it sounds like I missed a good one. I have to get the live feeds again too ..I'm so far behind! Thanks to the writers for striking! Good night! ..Steve

Show and HOH comp. were great. I liked the outcome.
Sure was a treat to see Eric & Jess. They are too cute and my favs. from last season.
Looks like Jen & Parker are on the block. Anyone know who is up with them? Hopefully Ryan & 'the name escapes me'. Either one of that couple, (Jen & Ryan) out the door would be nice. Too bad for their soulmates though.
Got all caught up in feeds last night and was like an addict and couldn't shut it off. I payed dearly this am when it was time to rise at 7:00AM. Got to get to bed tonight, am dragging ass... Looks a little quietier this evening anyways..

I think it was a good show, although ending it so early made no sense. As happy as I was to see Eric and Jessica, they seemed really out of place being that dressed up. After seeing that and understanding more what has gone on, I dont hate the partners deal as much, but I still wish it was an idea that had been tossed into the waste can.

Good show...I dont know what jacob was thinking?!?! Parker looks like a better person on the show then he does in the feeds

OMG. I missed the first part of the show (talking with my condo neighbors) so I missed Adam's "retard" comment. Probably a good thing because I would have hopped on the next plane to California and bitchslapped that boy. My son is a high functioning autistic and he is ANYTHING but a "retard". In fact he is highly intelligent, somewhat of a savant. Adam is the "retard". I hate that word but I will use it for describing Adam. Did you see that look after the eviction when he was all bugeyed. He makes me ill.

Eric's tie was too long. The dating game thing was kind of lame. I don't know, I'm not loving this group. Except the g strings and thongs on the feeds. Those are nice... :>

thought the show tonight...the game..was a bit cheesy. i guess it goes with the theme though. they spent all day working on that set for such a lame idea.
i still think jenn blew it big time. she didn't have to tell parker anything. she could have and should have done damage control a different way. it has hurt their chances bigtime! they will both go sooner or later...jenn first with parker...both big mouths and loose cannons.
adam...oh boy. what an idiot...or should i say retard! no way do i believe he works with special needs kids saying stuff like that. he has to be one of the scariest looking HG ever. lots of weird looks and yucky mannerisms.
i really like james...not sure of his partner chelsia. she seems like she is gonna be pretty catty. meow...with amanda!
i do like amanda. she works herself through rooms well but seems to be wearing on the guys with all her flirting. she needs to take it down a notch.

OH MY GOD!!!!! Are you aware of some new twist happening right now. Neil is gone and Sharon is back. I can't figure out this season, I think the viewers are more in the dark than the players this time. Sunday is a long time to wait!!!

Posted by: sweetsolsister at February 13, 2008 09:18 PM

I am still in the middle with just about everything to do with the show. I don't have the feeds and simply basing alot on the few scant hours of 'after dark' but the editing is playing up the whole soulmate thing rather than team play that I thought came out more on the Sho 2 show. The edits just seem to force the soulmate line leaving a bit of a bleah feeling.

Favorite part was the H.O.H. comp. Sure it was cheesy but it was nice to see everyone seem to have some fun after only experiencing the drama of last night. Even Leave Me ALone Cougar and Abandoned Cub (Sheila & Adam) looked to be having fun with each other.

As far as some of the other things. I thought some were to hypersensitive to the 'r word'. I think alot of it came from the fact the guy works with such people on a daily basis. Alot of things like that and how you react has to do with your environment to though. My off the bat reaction was people were making to big of a deal about it but I also have alot of friends that work in the challenged individuals group home setting and still throw the r word around a bit even though they know it is wrong. I would call and ask but it is late to try and get at least one of their opinions but I think it is also a way for them to move on or get through to really clueless people who for one reason or another don't understand challenged, slow, or whatever you may want to use to try and replace the r word but you say that word and it sinks in immediately with just about anyone.

Parker I thought over reacted to the whole snake thing. Names and accusations are going to be flying left and right from the beginning to the end no matter if you played the most honest game in the world. If I was Jen I wouldn't have been patting him on his back for waking people up and getting in Jacobs face. Early part of the game I wouldn;t want to stand out but wouldn't want to hide either. The move was definitely above the middle ground and a risk.

I know I don't know the time frame but Jen definitely should have taken more time to try and come up with something and discuss with Ryan how to try and change Parkers mind. Your a team. Being on the same page is adventageous to you but unless it truly became the last option to try and force an agreement so you don't receive a penalty nom she really didn't have to tell Parker. From what it sounds like they are no longer a team but the not-so-ambiguous gay duo definitely stood out as having to be dealt with now or later just by being the only two guys together in a sea of mixed pairs. I can't believe they couldn't be very tempting to get rid of without having to fight to get rid of them.

I still don't know who spilled the beans to the rest of the house about Ryan and Jen. Was it Allison?

Posted by: BenF at February 14, 2008 03:37 AM

I guess that Jacob (I'm not up on the names yet...hope that is right) has not watched the game before because that was some bonehead move he made. I did not like the "Newlywed Game" thing, too over the top and too long. My fav moment was the boobs in the face. Guess she figured out what is best for her is to just try and get along.

Thanks HamsterDam for straightening all that out for me and probably others. I was getting a headache trying to figure out what was going on in there. Then, when I watched the beginning of the AD show, I was even more confused seeing Sharon back in there.

Well, I'm still putting faces with names, and frankly, this season, to me, is rather boring. I really hope it gets better. I am tired of Parker back paddling after he makes an ass of himself.

Posted by: DJK at February 14, 2008 05:59 AM

I only got to watch a small part of AD last night because my son wouldn't go to sleep and then I didn't bother to turn the TV back on.

My question is, does Amanda remind anyone else of Janelle? I swear she is a brunette Janelle. I noticed it last night when she was talking to Sharon and ?Natalie up in the HOH room about all of the drama she had missed while being out of house. After that popped into my head I couldn't shake it LOL

I find it a bit ironic that Parker is deathly afraid of snakes, yet was called one by Jacob - who, presumably, did not know about the fear.

1. Did Jacob just make the whole thing up? Did Ryan really say it to Jacob? Did Adam say it? I thought Jacob just wanted to stir the pot and while Ryan and Adam weren't defending Parker, they also weren't calling him any names - just listening to Jacob go off and nodding their heads.

2. If I were the guests, I'd be pissed at Parker for waking them up. Why couldn't he have waited until the morning?

Regardless - Jacob's whole demeanor was creepy. Originally I was rooting for Sharon and Jacob to reunite. Now, I hope she has some fun with Joshuah, on live TV, and Jacob has to watch.
