I Don't Know Why You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello

Good gracious there was a ton of stuff covered in tonight's show! At least we're finally getting caught up to "real" time. Speaking of, did you notice the new intro? Neil's picture is missing completely from the block of 16 shown at the beginning. Instead, he has become a blank square. And the intro had Sharon's pic with Joshuah's pic as a pair and Jacob walking out of the house at the end. Just to compare, I fired up Sunday's show and watched its intro. All of the hamsters were paired up and it ended with Jacob and Sharon walking out of the house. I'm surprised they changed it before it was shown what happened. I expected it to be changed for tomorrow's show -- if at all. But why write Neil out completely and show him as just a blank square? How rude!

And they didn't waste much time getting to Neil's departure from the show. Josh very obviously read a script about why Neil left (an urgent personal matter) and briefly explained that he was able to choose a new partner from either the sequestered Jacob or the sequestered Sharon. He chose Sharon, they hugged, and she was introduced back into the house. According to Josh, he was now a "straight man in the house with his hot wife." Ya gotta hate it when that happens!

I thought the Amanda and Alex segments were lame tonight. That could be due to my watching the feeds though and being ahead of the show by a bazillion years. Amanda wanted Alex to rub her back. He basically said no. Amanda finds Parker to rub her back in the sauna and she then does the same for him. Alex enters and gets jealous. James tells Alex there's something more to the "couples thing" in the house and suggests that Amanda might know Parker. Alex relays what James said to Amanda and she misconstrues it and creates a big uproar in the house which then leads to Parker yelling at James in the backyard. Alex tells Amanda he has feelings for her but if he can't enjoy her company then nobody else should. She starts crying. Oh em gee!

We were also treated to Ryan and Jen having sex tonight. You know, I'm actually surprised it made it on to the show. But I have a major bone to pick with the producers. Yeah, I'm calling you out Grodner! We all know there are cameras in the bathroom stall. We also know that the footage isn't aired if a person is doing their #1 or #2 duties. But the footage can be aired if something else is going on. Well, at least blurred. But we didn't even get that. Heck, you didn't even broadcast a second of the moaning or grunting. If you can give us a tiny piece in the earliest family hour concerning Adam's hooded warrior the least you could do is show us a glimpse of Ryan and Jen in the stall in this later hour of prime time. Not cool Grodner! Not cool at all.

The Power of Veto competition, In Sickness And In Health, was b-o-r-i-n-g. The ladies (gosh I struggle with calling them that) were strapped to a rotating piece of plywood with a heart painted on it and had to hold on to a "panic button" while their men had to spin them around. The first couple to spin 300 revolutions won. Allison and Ryan were the first out of the competition because her finger slipped off the button. Amanda purposely let go of her button so that they wouldn't make themselves a bigger target later down the line. Jen barked commands at Parker the entire time as if he was a dog. Thank goodness Matt and Natalie won the thing (and later decided not to use it). I do understand how Jen and Allison got those blisters on their right shoulder though. I can't believe I'm saying this but Natalie was the smart one in the competition by staying flat. It caused their circle thingy to spin easier. You have to watch it to understand -- trust me on this.

Miscellaneous tidbits of info from the show tonight included Sheila and Allison deciding to keep their fake lesbianism a secret until the end of the game. It was also fun playing Hide And Seek with James' Brawny tattoo on his upper left chest. We saw blurred side boobies courtesy of Amanda and watched Matt straight out lie to Parker about using the POV on him. We also saw a thankful side of Parker in the diary room after the competition proclaim, "This game blows and I don't care anymore." Was that a tear that just escaped my eye? Absolutely not.
