Twists
I know that some Big Brother fans love/like twists in the game and some downright abhor them. One of the many wonderful commenters here on Silly Hamsters who goes by BJ gave me this idea for a post. I thought it would be interesting to bring it up top and see what y'all thought.
Personally, I don't mind twists in Big Brother for the most part. For example, many didn't like the X-Factor twist in BB4 but I actually liked it. Perhaps it's because I enjoyed the drama and scheming in the house that season between Jun and Jee and watching Alison with Nathan along with all of the Erica/Robert drama. Project DNA in BB5 was just so/so I thought and I didn't like the Secret Partners twist in BB6 at all because it was so cheesy.
Of course I remember the show in its purest form in BB1 and then the Americanized versions of Big Brother beginning in season 2. BB2 and BB3 are probably my two favorite seasons ever but many newer fans of Big Brother would probably find them rather tame overall compared to this season of Big Brother 8. There weren't any real 'twists' back then unless you count adding the Power of Veto competition and POV power (BB3), introducing the Golden Power of Veto (Marcellas who didn't use it on himself in BB3), and having a houseguest be evicted and then voted back in (Amy in BB3). Yeah, BB3 was pretty damned exciting. LOL
Now remember when I said I don't mind twists for the most part? For Big Brother 9 I would really love to see a house full of complete strangers. We haven't been treated to that since BB3 and I think it's about time for that to happen again.
What are your thoughts on twists? Do you think there might be at least one more twist left in this season of Big Brother? Would you even want to see another twist this season or any other season? And if you could come up with a twist of your own for either this season or any future seasons, what would you propose? What do you think of having complete strangers play the game next season?

I'm with you, HD. I've been watching since season 1 as well and I totally agree that we need complete strangers in the house again. Taking that idea one step further, I would also like to see a houseful of thirty-somethings. Don't get me wrong, I love the drama of the twenty-somthings and even the forty-somthings (Evel Dick). I wonder though, would hamsters that are about the same age act any differnt than hamsters that are of various ages? Hhhhhmmmmmm...
Posted by: sbaldwin at August 24, 2007 09:27 AM
I completely agree with you HD. Next season should be a house full of complete strangers. I also think a cool twist for a season would be "6 Degrees" there's that whole theory that everyone is connected by 6 degrees of separation, so I think it would be cool if everyone in the house was connected by 6 degrees of separation. Because they would still be complete strangers but they would distantly know eachother.
Posted by: BBLOVEROHIO at August 24, 2007 09:34 AM
Yes, most def I want strangers in the house for BB9. That is the most fun, I think. Season 2 and Season 6 were my favorite seasons. Although, because of Dr Will in Season 2 might make it very favorite. He was even better in All Stars, sigh.
Twists? I don't know, I don't want double eviction at this point. Remember when Daniele had to be sequestered in a room in the house that looked an awful lot like a jail cell for 24 hours? That was good. I would like to see Whamber get that, wouldn't that be great? She would go freaking nuts!!!
Surprise me BB. I do want to see another endurance comp soon, as in next Thursday.
Posted by: BBFANINDALLAS at August 24, 2007 09:38 AM
yeah hd they need cmplete strangers in the house and i to have been watching since the very first one. and i also like the twist with just 30, 40, or 50 somethings in the house. or maybe just one nationality. or just one zodiac sign. lol lmao i can go on and on but i wont.
Posted by: FANATIC313 at August 24, 2007 09:42 AM
Complete strangers. That was one of the problems with All-Stars - even if they were from different seasons, they still knew "of" each other.
I'd like to see less-than-tenable living conditions. They can sleep in tents in the backyard. They can have 1 minute hot showers. Alcohol only for those who have earned 'points' throughout the week by doing things around the house.
How about this twist? All houseguests speak different languages! They'd have to communicate through charades.
Posted by: Coleen at August 24, 2007 09:43 AM
What about the over 50 group for houseguests? Oh wait! That won't work. They know how to behave and it would make things pretty dad-gum boring! Slop would be a normal staple and they'd need an elevator to the HOH room. lol (just kidding around) =)
Posted by: Star T at August 24, 2007 09:44 AM
Absolutely - total strangers all the way AND let's see some of the older generation - 30's, 40's even 50's. As Emeril would say - let's "kick it up a notch". I'd be willing to bet that you'd see all whole different game play with an older, more mature, house then you do with these whiney brats.
Posted by: Beth at August 24, 2007 09:45 AM
i agree BB9's twist will probably be a back-to-basics strangers competition.
i'm wondering if BB will need to get celebrities to spice up the house.
how about some nudists for next season-BBAD would be must-see!
Posted by: kevbo at August 24, 2007 09:46 AM
Yup, I would love to go back to a season of strangers. No pre-formed alliances, just raw getting-to-know-you mayhem! I would also love CBS to allow HOH to compete the week following their reign as HOH. Afterall, let the best competitor win, and win, and win, and win :)
Posted by: julie at August 24, 2007 10:03 AM
I agree a house of strangers would be much better for next season. CBS needs to think about another twist to stop so much of these back door evictions, they have become so common place this season. Maybe the replacement nominee from th veto being used get a one vote reduction to make it harder for another alliance in the house to evic that person. As far as screening, I think people who know the game and will be willing to actively participate are better. This season Jen, Zach, Jameka, Amber, Nick, and Mike have not been overly interesting because they have not aggressively chased the prize, too much floating!
Just my $0.02
Posted by: BBFanTO at August 24, 2007 10:05 AM
Since season 3 has been the last one with a house full of complete strangers I guess if they did it next year we could call that a twist. LOL
Posted by: absolon at August 24, 2007 11:04 AM
I just have a quick question thats off topic. Is there any way to watch the earlier seasons of BB? This is my first season watching and I'm addicted. I know that they have the DVD for BB3, which I'm renting, but any way to see the other seasons?
Posted by: BBFNCT81 at August 24, 2007 11:08 AM
I don't mind the twists but I think for next season (for a change) the HG's be complete strangers. It would make things very interesting in just that. Also, I still think there is one more twist in BB8 and I have been speculating that it is Jen, who we all know is an actress/model AND was actually approached by BB to be a HG. I think Jen is really a hired actress. This would explain her crazy behavior..... Things that make ya go "hmmm".
Posted by: Sondra at August 24, 2007 11:14 AM
One thought to make the game better, which we suggested to CBS - but they don't take unsolicited ideas, make a new POV - Platinum. Person who wins POV removes a person, then nominates the replacement themselves....
Posted by: Rerepete at August 24, 2007 11:15 AM
More unmediated mental illnesses should be on the show in the future. Personality disorders drive this season of BB8 from the Major Depression of Whamber to the Narcissism of Jen. Eric's fear of men is based upon his closeted homosexual possibly even from himself. The estrangement of Dani from Dick is based upon domestic violence and alcohol/drug abuse (as indicated by Dick's Los Angeles Police Record). Dani pushes Dick away because of her abandonment issues.
These people are broken individuals with the exception of Jess. Jess is the happy cheerleader girl who makes the best of her situation. A show filled with healthy constantly happy hamsters like Jess might be a little dull.
Posted by: Greg in Houston at August 24, 2007 11:17 AM
I'd like to see a twist where BB places a misogynistic ass in the house who will systematically belittle and degrade many of the female house guests...oh wait, that's this season. My bad.
From HD - Pfft! That's not a twist any way Chucky! LOL *sticks tongue out at you*
Posted by: Chuck at August 24, 2007 11:23 AM
I think that the best twist would be to have all strangers that are all single. They could go on to Match.com and put people in there that are "matches" for eachother. Let's see them all fighting over eachother.
Posted by: Jennie at August 24, 2007 11:32 AM
I would like to see Jen go back into the house as a twist
Posted by: mapleleafgirl at August 24, 2007 11:33 AM
I would love to see the new twist complete strangers and also people who do not all speak english.
say 3 who speak french, 3 who speak english, 3 who speak chinese..and so on. Would be interesting to see how they learn to make alliances not being able to understand each other.
If they can't do that..lets at least add some real prizes to the show. Prizes that actually help the other players. Like if they win something..they get a choice of 4 live feed clips. 1 clip is nothing but the other 3 clips are private chats between other HG's. If they pick the right clip to watch it could be very telling...... or if they get HOH..they also win 1 hour or two of sound on the spy screen to use when they want during there week in hoh.
Posted by: Dinkie at August 24, 2007 11:41 AM
Okay I feel BB #1 was the best overall, This season ranks right up there with the ED/Jen and of course Dustin/Joe connection..But BB9 should be all strangers and bring back the favorite evicted house guest when we are down to the final 4, of course they we would be voted back by America..I also love the America's player but lets add other players and have more than one America's player like one for each show maybe, keeps HG's thinking...
Posted by: Vickie at August 24, 2007 11:45 AM
I think next season should be 14 chimps.
Posted by: Brian at August 24, 2007 11:56 AM
Complete strangers sounds really good to me. And make them have a little class that is completely missing from this group. Well, not all the group, Jessica,Jemeka and Kail didn't seem to be the low life's of the others. I think Dick is the scum of the earth with his belching, farting, spitting, tatooed big mouth. I would like to see him go up against someone his age or older. I am sure they could wipe the floor up with him, the wimp. Never have I disliked anyone on the show more then him. And I haven't one good thing to say about Howie except he was 100 % better then this creep.
Posted by: Looker at August 24, 2007 11:58 AM
Twists are dumb. BB is best served without dumb gimmicks.
Posted by: Bentcorner at August 24, 2007 12:04 PM
I liked that idea Rerepete had. The person taken off the block by the veto nominates the replacement themselves. Makes the Power of Veto comp. that much more important and could turn the tables on rival.
Posted by: Dr Johnny Fever at August 24, 2007 12:16 PM
Love to see a BB with only winners from previous BB, but there aren't enough yet to start a house.
Therefore, let me see a house with all HG's being from a different culture.
Put rules in place to keep religion out of the game. (Certainly have your faith, but keep it to ones self!!) No more Jamekas.
Put rules in place to keep persons (and I use the term loosely) from totally dehumanizing another houseguest.
Let no one under 25 in the house. That would eliminate for the most part the whinny, crying, self centered, childish brats we see today. (Not Jessica)
All HOH comps need to be endurance. POV winners have the choice of naming the replacement or the option to return it back to HOH.
I'd like to see a BB with all twins. Not just one set as before.
Like to see a BB with little people.
Like to see a BB that allowed persons with physical handicaps, not just mental as the Donotos!
Like to see HG having to rough it. They shouldn't have it so good.
Like to see BB have $1,000,000 prize. They certainly can afford it.
Like to see entertainment awards. Loved when they let Sheryl Crow and Neal Patrick in. It should involve a comp. though.
Love for BB to come up with something better than slop! PB&J was better, but I'm sure some sicko come could up with something more disgusting!
Posted by: diff at August 24, 2007 12:24 PM
One twist I would like to see next season is before the house guest go into the house. BB would have a pre-determined week where whoever was evicted that week would automaticly come back into the house. They could not play for HOH and could not be nominated that week. But only let america know what week, so the house guest dont evict knowing someone could possibly come back in. And i would also like to see just strangers...its not fair to everyone if certain people get to play with people they know.
Posted by: Jenny at August 24, 2007 12:49 PM
Definitely strangers but NO CELEBRITY WANNABES!! Just real people who appreciate the "game" and could use the money...no more "I'm just here for the experience."
Posted by: SuzieQ at August 24, 2007 12:54 PM
HD: Thank you for the kind mention! BB fans who comment here are probably far more devious than BB and our twists would be wicked fun.
I've been trying to imagine what BB might yet have up their sleeves. As trite and boring as the "tasks" have been, AP's vote has had an impact on the game so I'm hoping there is another twist or surprise to come.
I don't think they will return Dustin and he's the only evicted HG who doesn't know about the AP, of course they could drop in an All-Player to really confuse the hamsters (Allison could handle it), but there's not enough time for a returning HG to make any difference at this point, unless BB gave him/her special powers such as a secret extra POV or power to replace a POV nom.
Or dual HOH's next week, that would create some hamster alliance havoc.
My "dream" twist for BB8 is that whomever is voted off next week can choose any other HG to take their place immediately after the vote is announced. The newly evicted HG would only have one minute to exit. Imagine the panic! No time to even grab their toothbrush.
BTW-I too want all strangers for BB9 and a more generational and ethnic/racial mix. Cute young eye candy is enjoyable for all, but the shallowness and whining gets old fast on the feeds. It might be interesting if BB9 chose an equal mix of races as in Survivor Cook Islands...or half straight and half gay? That would be a twist.
Posted by: BJ at August 24, 2007 12:57 PM
I don't mind the twists. You can't do the same thing every year - the hamsters running the wheel would be too well-trained. One of the twists you didn't mention was the season they installed the spy screen - I thought that was very sneaky.
That being said, I would like to see complete strangers next year. It would put the hamsters off balance, searching for the twist!
Posted by: CanFan at August 24, 2007 01:06 PM
I agree strangers would be a nice change and/or twist. Definitely no relatives, like twins, brother/sister or father/daughter, etc.
Posted by: Jimmie at August 24, 2007 01:06 PM
if they were to have a twist for bb9 i think it would be funny to see all ex husbands and wives. Ithink that would be most intertaining yet funny
Posted by: bb fan 4 ever at August 24, 2007 01:16 PM
Strangers good, 6 degrees is good too... I'd like to see singles... for more romance and liked the match.com type idea.
I'd also like to see more hidden rooms, puzzles and such.. I've found this year kinda boring that way.
Phone calls from home... or HOH choice of letter writers...
Either way I'd like to see strangers with more house twists...not people twists.
Posted by: Marcia at August 24, 2007 01:21 PM
What I would like to see is a season where the nominations are not made by a Head of Household but selected through a competition, a true competition, not a Q & A competition like those we get these days. The three worst players would be on slop and on nomination, the three best players would be on luxury conditions, the best beds, full luxuous food, alcool, etc. and all other middle ground players on regular conditions, ordinary beds, zacuzzi, normal food but no booze.
And made that competition something that last a few days. That can be physical, endurance, mental or a combination of them.
Eventually, the worst competitors would get eliminated and the contest would become one of agility, dexterity, endurance, strenght and mental ability, instead of who is the better liar, cheater, coniver, etc.
And produce it on the East coast to make it easer for blackout period and internet viewers.
Posted by: Keyholedan at August 24, 2007 01:34 PM
I agree with all of the above.
BB it's time to wake up & smell the coffee. This year it's NOT working 4 me. I have been watching BB since day 1 & i'm not happy with this years houseguest. Their all a bunch of idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try something new 4 a change.
Next year i hope BB will get all strangers in the house & NO relatives or ex-b/g/friends.
Posted by: spitfire at August 24, 2007 01:42 PM
I would like to see the 1st person evicted in all the past shows come back and have a chance to play. Another thought, some of us who ARE 50 look just as good in a bikini or even better than some of the current and past hampsters!! I can still wear my jeans from high school and have 3 grown sons!
One other thought would have BB select BB9 contestants ONLY from the blogs! :)
Posted by: Ellyn at August 24, 2007 02:00 PM
I dont know I think..
they should do like..
IF you had to re-watch one seasons of big brother what would it be? of course not replaying it, but the same people.. different competitons for example..
I would like to see Big brother 6 all over again, same people.. see what happens
Posted by: claudia at August 24, 2007 02:07 PM
definatly want strangers with no connection of any kind to each other. Also as a twist to food comps I would like to see the hampsters have to "earn" money or points towards food or alcohol through compitions and/or chores, and then have to "shop" for these things on a budget, so that they have to work together to determine what and how well they eat or drink all week.
Posted by: jacki at August 24, 2007 02:18 PM
Next year I want strangers, but I also want like diffirent groups of people that really don't mix well with eachother. Like jocks and computer nerds, smart people and stupid people, rich and poor, ect.
Posted by: I_Know at August 24, 2007 02:18 PM
I want strangers in the House and no more psyco Lifetime movie nannies.
Posted by: Catlin at August 24, 2007 02:19 PM
I don't like the twists..and agree a house full of strangers would be great. I also wish they'd mix it up more ethnically and age wise..isn't that part of what makes it interesting? If I want to see a house full of pretty 20 somethings hooking up I can watch Real World. Instead of having someone be 'America's Player'..why not have online voting and give America 1 vote in the elimination process.
Posted by: LowRain at August 24, 2007 02:33 PM
This is a little off subject but I have to say this. I sooooo want Damyell and Amber to get in a fight so Damyell will tell Jameka that Amber was willing to vote her out if that's what was asked of her. How unbelievably stupid was she to do that? Jameka's the only person to have Amber's back and she only cares about her own.
OK, back to the subject at hand, I agree that a house full of opposites would be a great idea. OR, to make it really interesting, get sports fans from rivaling teams in there. Ex: Yankees/Red Sox; Patriots/Jets; and ANY college rivals. There would be fights every night!
Posted by: Lee at August 24, 2007 02:40 PM
Wow, so many great ideas.
BJ I like the idea that the HG who is voted out could take 1 person with them. I'd take it one step further. Let everyone know that this week, who ever you vote out will take someone with them. And that they can't announce their choice until they are leaving. That would put everyone on their toes.
I also like the idea of changing the POV. How about the HOH nominating 3 people - 1 wins POV - the other 2 stay up. No back door. No replacements - 4 people fight it out for POV - HOH and the 3 nominated.
I'm not fond of the twists where you have different ethnic groups. Survivor has done this already. Try something new BB.
I need there to be something more coming this year. Either a dble eviction, a Veto week pass for someone or some other special prize.
I also agree that I miss the hidden prizes. What, can't this year's guests think?

I think of all the suggestions so far I like the following the most:
1- all complete strangers
2- all aged between 25-35
3- all single
I do not want to ever again see people who are related or connected and I NEVER want to see anyone who has been evicted returned.
Of course if I could absolutely have one twist for sure it would be that we, America, get to vote at the end for the winner and let them know at the beginning that it will happen that way.
Posted by: Susie at August 24, 2007 03:43 PM
Diff - Liked some of your ideas. But about people with physical handicaps, didn't Eddie the winner of BB1 only have 1 leg?
Give us the answer HD - It was a long time ago.
From HD - Yes. Eddie (McGee) won BB1 and his left leg had been amputated due to cancer.
Posted by: absolon at August 24, 2007 04:28 PM
The 4 twists I would like to see in the next season of BB:
1. Complete strangers with no connections.
2. For the POV if someone is taken off the block, America's choice is placed on the block including the HOH, that way no one is completely safe from the POV.
3. America get's one vote (not a HG representative)
4. America chooses the final winner from the final 3.
Posted by: CAMB at August 24, 2007 04:32 PM
i feel the whole "enemies/rivals" twist this season was just an excuse to cast the Donatos for ratings... and Dustin was probably supposed to be the week 2 boot, seeing that he really had no concept of how the game is supposed to be played.
definitely agree with everyone that at this point it would be a "twist" if BB9 had a cast of complete strangers...
Posted by: Jack at August 24, 2007 04:44 PM
I would like to see all strangers also. With a twist that involves them all. Without their knowledge, When they get voted out, they start a new BB House and have the ability to watch the original house by close circut TV to see what the house guests are up too. Their own version of LIVE FEED ADDICTION. Then at the end of the season one of them is chosen to enter the house again in a competition by answering the most correct answers about the remaining three house guests. NO JURY HOUSE
Posted by: Jane at August 24, 2007 05:12 PM
Thanks absolon & HD, I totally forgot about him. But I believe that was the only person with a physical handicap?
From HD - Yes he's been the only one in the house with a physical handicap.
Posted by: diff at August 24, 2007 05:21 PM
This Season:
There needs to be another twist or double eviction because it appears the next couple weeks are going to be very uneventful. Right now either Amber, Zach or Jameka are going home. Next week, Jameka can't compete and most likely Amber or Zach will be gone leaving only one of them to compete for HOH.
Next Season:
I like the America's Player twist, but it can't be done twice, which is why next season they should allow us one vote. So each eviction will cast an extra vote. It will also give all the HG's a good indication to who is liked and not liked. Also, they should be given more alcohol. The more drinks the more drama and rage!
Posted by: Teresa at August 24, 2007 05:34 PM
Jane: That's a BRILLIANT idea!!!
Feeders watching feeders watching hamsters!
I particularly like the no sequester house cuz the jury is too far out of the real time game with only show tapes and the evicted HGs word/agenda for guidance as to who's playing the game best.
I'd really like BB/CBS to offer an all DR channel on the feeds too, I'd pay extra for it.
Posted by: BJ at August 24, 2007 05:40 PM
I would just like to make a comment concerning America's Player, with Eric getting close to the final , why are most of you screwing with his choices, as making them the most out of whack for him to suggest or vote. Don't you people want to take credit for getting America's Player to the final two? It is a way for all of you to show these dummies that you can win the game for your player. Poor Eric has had a handicap all along this game with your ridiculous chocies, and it almost got him booted out but he prevailed and he saved himself with his own game play. Not any thanks to you guys. Wouldn't it be great to see all those other houseguests mouths drop open when they hear about Eric's role as America's Player. YOu guy are just wasting a great moment that could be all our doing. Thanks for letting me vent and please pass it on to Jokers voters too.
Posted by: Bare Bunny at August 24, 2007 06:07 PM
Oh the HG's look like they had so much fun today, I can't wait to see their competition on the show. They all seem so happy since Jen is gone.
Posted by: bbfanindallas at August 24, 2007 06:08 PM
Some have already posted great ideas. I think it would be great if the person who is HOH be able to compete again and that the person who wins POV is the one who should decide who is to be put on the block in their or someone else's place or if they will leave things as is. I feel the slop thing should be banished and that they can only have the foods they win in food competitions. I also like the secret room idea. We do need much better games/comps. BB9 should definitely be more racially mixed. A twist could be a former player in disguise.
Posted by: Cerenay at August 24, 2007 06:10 PM
My first surprise with this season was when we were presented with the twist of "former friends." Mostly because I was almost positive this season was going to be strangers again after All Stars. That was my thing last season... while I really enjoyed it, I was longing for the house of strangers vs. the house of assumed and/or established egos and personalities. So, yes, I am all for a season of strangers. Now, of course, those strangers need a twist or two! But I'm all about the simple stuff. I think HOH's should be able to compete week after week, I think the Veto holder should not only veto the nom but also the new nom., if they feel so moved. (Not only because it would add another layer of gameplay but also because it would cut down on recap time and put more time into new footage being aired.) I also think that a few episodes need to be 2 hours. Most notably the finale and then other shows, like last night for example. In fact, I remember 2 hours episodes but I think I am going way back.

I want to see a season where they spend the Holidays together, starting with Halloween and going thru to New Year's day.

Anyone watch paradise hotel?
well i think they should doing something along those lines where houseguests are evicted more frequently and new houseguests can enter
Posted by: John at August 24, 2007 08:44 PM
A nice new twist for BB would be to create a new Power of Veto; Platinum Veto Power which would allow the winner of the PVP to take one of the nominated players off and replace the nominated person with any other houseguest of their choice...What do you think?
Posted by: Barbara M at August 24, 2007 10:27 PM
I would love a twist that allowed the evicted HGs to stay in the house. They would not compete in comps, but could interact with the HGs that are still in the running for the money. That would be a hoot. The Evicted Ones would then have a truer view of how the remaining HGs have impacted the game, and they would be better able to judge who should win.
Plus imagine the drama........INTENSE
"im here for the cheap entertainment......the cheaper the better......HAHAHA
darkling in da house

I would like to see the show go back to where they had to kill the chickens to have meat, grow their own vegetables and allotted amount of hot water per day.
Not to say it is luxury in there, but the game has changed since season 1. I would like to see complete strangers again!

There are alot of Canadian BB fans. We need a Canadian twist. Perhaps 16 Houseguests 8 Americans/Canadians and 8 All-Star House Guests from other BBs in the world, ie UK, and see what happens! Word War or World Peace?
Posted by: Canada at August 25, 2007 07:44 AM
Man I like the idea of a feeders watching feeders watching HG season. I also think the World War Season of multi country All Stars competing would really rock. I think America votes should be that and not use a HG its just not fair to them, unless you use an actor who has no chance of winning. The person would walk away and not try to affect the game during, in any way accept when directed. Should just be a fun person all about entertainment and doing the America will. Please don't let whomever cast Jen cast America's Player!!! Let Janelle cast Americas Player lol. Also if America votes without a player the HGs would know they better be entertaining or else lol. No jury would be a nice twist with this too.

Ok,
I completely agree. I'd LOVE to see the BB9 House be complete strangers. I'd love to see all the major twists out of the game.
However, I would like to see one rule change.
If you win the POV...not only do you get to remove someone from the block, but YOU choose who the replacement is! The only person not eligible is the HOH.
Thanks!

I would like to see an all immigrant show with strangers from various corners of the world including a 'token ' mayflower descendant and an american disdaining french person. They all should speak english well enough to communicate reasonably. This would be very entertaining and would probably bust open the cultural cliches that are so prevalent. With this being a country of immigrants and immigrant issues in the fore front these days it would be interesting to see what cultural clashes take place and what alliances. The food aspect would be an interesting level to it.
