Jam N Jess

Zach did it. He nominated Jameka and Jessica for eviction.

It sure did take long enough. The feeds were on FOTH/trivia for an hour-and-a-half. Looking back on it, it seemed longer. I guess I was on pins and needles waiting to find out. Even though Jameka and Jessica had been the chosen ones right before the feeds went to FOTH.

The best shot that Jessica, Jameka, and even Eric have to save themselves is if Eric wins POV. Eric would have to take one of them off the block. Then Zach will have to put up either Dick or Daniele. And then, whichever one of Dick/Daniele gets put up will be voted out.

Dick and Daniele really had no choice though but to convince Zach to put neither one of them up. I can't blame them for promising Zach they wouldn't go after him next week but I don't really believe their promise of course.

Things are getting to that point in the house and they all realize it. It's time to play hard core.

What do you think about Zach's nomination choices? If you don't like his nominations, what would you have done if you were him?

ETA at 6:15 PM - I need to rethink some things. Eric would have to win POV and take Jameka off. Why? Because America would probably have him vote Jameka out. Jessica would have to stay on the block. Between Jessica and Daniele, I wonder who America would have him vote out. Maybe Daniele?

ETA at 9:02 PM - It seems the POV competition will be taking place tonight after all and at MIDNIGHT Big Brother time at that. Dick said a little bit ago that it will be at midnight AND Janelle posted in the chat room over at Joker's Updates that she'll be picked up at 10:00 PM. The competition will be starting just when Big Brother After Dark goes off and then we'll have trivia for awhile. I think it's time for a little nap. LOL

Oh The Drama!

Is it just me or are things getting crazier in the Big Brother world by the minute?

Say what you will about Big Brother 8, but the one thing you can't say is that it's boring. Inside the house or outside the house. The drama surrounding the show has been building and building over the last couple of days and it finally reached its peak (perhaps?) this morning. But let's start at the beginning shall we?

Now remember if you will the controversy surrounding Amber's anti-semitic remarks back in early August. Remember the statement made by CBS to TMZ regarding why Amber's comments weren't shown on the show? Right. The stage is now set.

Then things began to really heat up back on August 16th - the night that Dustin was evicted. CBS had forbidden all media from asking Dustin "certain stuff" as noted by Derrik Lang, a blogger at The Slug who writes on behalf of asap and The Associated Press (AP), in his interview with Dustin that was posted on Friday, August 17th.

On Sunday, August 19th, editor Michael Jensen of AfterElton.com, a site that focuses primarily on gay and bisexual men in entertainment and media, posted an interview with Dustin that he had conducted. It's a great interview to read but went a little bit too far it seems. Towards the end of the interview, Dustin was asked about his calling his dog a "n***er bitch". Dustin's response?

"A female dog is a bitch. I'm not a racist and my actions speak louder than words. I've had just as many African-American friends and roommates as I have white. I apologize if I offended anyone. My words are not intended to hurt anyone and I think that was clear within the context of my conversation. How can a gay man be racist? Isn't that that most contradictory thing on the planet or what?"

Alrighty then.

On August 20th, Reality Blurred's Andy Dehnart made note of AfterElton's interview in this article writing,

"Considering the negative press the show got from the bigotry coming from the house, one would imagine that the media would be all over asking Dustin about that - and about his use of certain words. But pretty much all the interviews have seemed as if asking about bigotry was off the table, too. However, After Elton did actually ask Dustin about his racist name for his dog, which Dustin defended by essentially ignoring his use of the n-word, and saying that he has many black friends."

On August 29th, just a scant two days ago, Andy Dehnart of Reality Blurred wrote that Derrik Lang of The AP and The Slug revealed that the media's questions of the evicted houseguests would be restricted even further than they had been for Dustin. Mr. Dehnart writes,

"Selected "reporters granted access to houseguests-turned-jury members have been told by CBS they must agree not to ask [Amber] Siyavus or [Jameka] Cameron about the controversial remarks" that Amber made if she's evicted this week. Previously, "reporters interviewing the six sequestered evictees who will make up the show's jury and decide the $500,000 grand-prize winner usually agree to only ask houseguests about conversations that they were physically present for in the house," the story says (disclosure: I'm quoted in the story)."

Mr. Dehnart goes on further to reveal that The AP has declined to interview Amber or Jameka at all because of CBS' increased demands concerning their possible questioning of those two houseguests. Now here's a little tidbit that most of you are already aware of. The AP is a huge media organization. They write an article or conduct an interview or take a picture? It gets published over and over again all over the world in print media and online media. Millions of eyeballs read their work and view their pictures. Getting it yet?

Today, August 31st, Derrik Lang over at The Slug (The AP remember?) posts "Big Brother" Keeper. Andy Dehnart at Reality Blurred writes another article. What's this one about? 'Amber evicted from the Big Brother house but won't be interviewed by the media'.

And indeed, Amber wasn't interviewed anywhere. Not even on The Early Show - A show put out by the same network that puts on Big Brother. Not even on House Calls where Gretchen Massey's questions are already pre-arranged on Friday's shows once hamsters have begun being sequestered. Gretchen read a statement from Big Brother at the beginning of today's House Calls basically saying that due to the houseguest's behavior in the house, they (Big Brother) are not allowing any more of the jury members to be interviewed and they (the hamsters) will not be made available to the media for questioning at all but that they will be made available for questioning immediately after the finale.

You just gotta love this drama.

Before I go, there was one little tidbit released by Janelle (who was with Gretchen) today on House Calls. Are you ready? You remember Julie Chen saying on the show last night that Janelle would be taking part in the POV contest to be shown on Tuesday's show right? OK. Are you sure you're ready? The Power of Veto contest will be held tonight. Yep. That's what she said. She also said she was meeting Kaysar for dinner tonight so I wonder if she'll have dinner and drinks first and then do her POV participation or if her dinner and drinks will come after. I guess it all depends on what time BB plans to get this important POV competition on the road. And the hamsters have no idea about the POV comp being tonight right now. Many of them are still sleeping even.

I wonder if they're going to have the POV competition immediately after nominations then. Or will the nomination ceremony be moved so that it takes place sooner than normal this afternoon to allow for a break in between the nominations and POV competition?

What do you think about the POV happening tonight? Do you think there might be something else planned for them this weekend? What do you think about the jury members not being interviewed at all anymore? Why do you think we haven't seen the sequester house?

ETA at 2:45 PM - SH commenter Kyla led me to an article today (thank you!) that has some sequester house info. Per Reality TV World:

"However, although Amber is now off to the show's sequester location, Big Brother viewers shouldn't expect to see much footage of her new jury house adventures. Unlike previous Big Brother seasons, CBS doesn't plans to broadcast regular weekly footage of each evicted houseguest's jury house arrival.

"[The producers only] anticipate [broadcasting] one jury house package before the end of the season," a CBS spokesperson told Reality TV World on Friday."

So how about them apples?

ETA at 3:05 PM - And the drama continues. Via Reality Blurred, the folks over at TV Guide have published another statement issued by CBS today.

"We have made jury members... available to the press the past two seasons, always with the proviso that their questions not inform the ejected houseguest of influences outside his or her personal experience in the house. This season, several cast members have made either offensive statements or exhibited controversial behavior. We respect journalists' interest and right to pose questions about these matters, but at the same time believe doing so could provide information that influences the final vote and potential outcome of the 12-week competition."

I can't wait for the bloodbath that's going to ensue on the evening of Tuesday, September 18th. It's going to be delicious and a thrill to watch. wink.gif

Hand Me A Barf Bag

What a crazy 24 hours we just had and we haven't had time to take it all in and absorb what's happening.

Blah blah blah. Yeah, that's right.

I'm over Jessica. After watching her the last couple of hours tonight, it's so obvious she's playing Eric. I would have more respect for that if she hadn't ridden his coat tails to the end. But she didn't. She's the typical college girl who thinks she's all that. Weak Jessica. You could have played better if you'd tried. Or maybe you couldn't. Here. I'll give you $5.00.

I'm also so over Eric because it's so obvious that he threw the competition. Hurting your back my ass. Give me a break. If you'd really fallen and hurt your back, the feeds wouldn't be on and you'd be on a stretcher. Grow some balls little man.

I'm over the Jess and Eric 'thing'. At this point, I'm going to have to pull for Zach and then Dick and Daniele to win the game (damn, I don't and didn't want to pull for Daniele). I just can't pull for Jess especially after she acted like such a little bitch (her game) tonight and I can't pull for Eric because he was such a little wussy (his game) tonight. I'm over both of these fake ass people.

I'm completely pulling for Zach first now, then I'm pulling for Dick and Daniele after that, then Jameka, and then Eric, and then Jessica.

Jessica's most definitely a little ho ho working for the money. I should have realized that when she laid there like a dead fish when Eric was trying to kiss her. It's funny how her voice got irritating to me again tonight. Enough with the running your fingers through your hair, your stupid blonde looks, and your irritating voice. I'm done with you.

But then, Eric. You've also been a douche by acting the way you've been acting while running this game. It's so obvious after tonight the game that both of you are playing each other. She's not HOH and you're nothing important anymore Eric. It's fun to watch. Really. It is. Blonde chick who wears too much makeup on TV dumps your ass when she's through using you. It's quite hilarious.

Eric, just be sure to keep your arms away from Jessica's neck. Some girls like to be choked and maybe Jessica is one of those, but perhaps you should think about doing it off camera. Because some women actually like to breathe when they sleep.

Oh, and in case you couldn't tell, I'm so over Jessica and Eric after tonight. She (Jessica) especially makes me want to puke. Please hand me a barf bag.

The Cutest Bunny Wins HOH!

Woohoo!

I'm beyond excited that Zach won the HOH competition tonight. I'm ready for him to make a move and shake some things up in the house. If nothing else for the excitement factor alone because I don't want to watch JEDD roll over on everybody. And just think, we have a double eviction in a week. *evil laugh*

How do y'all feel about the HOH competition tonight? How was your feed quality? What do you think Zach should do? Who did you vote for Eric to get nominated? BTW, if you haven't voted yet, you still have plenty of time.

So many things can happen right now. But I'm really happy for Zach. biggrin.gif

Big Brother Tea Party

Well ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves an endurance HOH competition and it's underway right now! It's about damned time we had an endurance comp! These are always my favorite. laughing.gif

Eric, Zach, Dick, and Daniele have to fill up a tank that holds 16 gallons at the end of a walkway with only a tiny little teacup that holds 3 ounces. 683 trips back and forth or 7 miles Julie told us.

This will be a long competition! Thank goodness I'm on vacation and can stay up all night. LOL

Turn on your feeds and let's all follow along here together. wink.gif

ETA at 6:07 PM - Feeds are on!

ETA at 6:33 PM - Here are some screencaps of the setup:

HOH_teacupparty_layout1.jpg

HOH_teacupparty_layout2.jpg

HOH_teacupparty_layout3.jpg

ETA at 6:47 PM - Zach (red) has taken a pretty good lead, Dick (purple) and Daniele (green) are about tied, while Eric (orange) is bringing up the rear. A few moments ago Jameka helped Daniele out by telling her she should carry her teacup by the bottom. She had been carrying it with her thumb inside of it causing liquid to spill on her way back to dump it.

ETA at 7:09 PM - Zach is still in the lead and Jameka's voice is irritating me to no end. Not to mention Feeds 1 and 3 are choppy as hell for me.

HOH_teacupparty_update0708PM.jpg

ETA at 7:17 PM - Feeds 1 and 3 are completely unavailable now. The feeds that are available (2 and 4) are on FOTH.

ETA at 7:22 PM - Seems like from what I can gather between two feeds and lots of FOTH that they are able to use more than one teacup (3?) now and each has a beaker they can use as well that's placed at the end of their walkway.

ETA at 7:27 PM - Finally back from FOTH. They're each using two teacups right now to fill their container.

ETA at 7:29 PM - Zach's still in the lead and is working hard. Dick's working hard too and so is Daniele. Jessica just said she wondered how long the phone call is. Something must have been said about a phone call being offered while we were on FOTH.

HOH_teacupparty_update0728PM.jpg

ETA at 7:32 PM - As soon as Jessica said she was wondering how long the phone call would be (10 mins, 20 mins) the feeds went to FOTH and are still there. Feeds back and It seems Feeds 1 and 3 are working again - kinda. LOL

ETA at 7:40 PM - It's definitely getting close to the end of the competition. Zach is still in the lead but Dick and Daniele haven't given up yet! Go Zach!

HOH_teacupparty_update0740PM.jpg

ETA at 7:45 PM - The third teacup they have available to each of them must have a hole in it. Jessica just said to Jameka that Zach's only been using his two and not the third one with the hole in it. Zach's getting VERY close now.

ETA at 7:47 PM - It's basically down to Zach and Dick now. That's all the camera is focusing on. Zach's trying to get his silver ball out now but can't get to it. Jessica tells Jameka, "He's so close." Feeds go to FOTH right afterwards.

HOH_teacupparty_update0748PM.jpg

ETA at 7:49 PM - Zach's soooo close!

HOH_teacupparty_update0749PM.jpg

ETA at 7:53 PM - Zach is the new HOH!!!!!!!!!

Liveblogging - Thursday, August 30th, 2007

-:160 - I think we're going to have a great show tonight! Might we possibly have two hamsters be evicted tonight like we did almost exactly one year ago? I can't wait! Finish running those errands and making dinner and then pull up a chair and follow along here. Don't forget to jump into chat either as the show draws near. tongue.gif

-:110 - As mentioned in my post this morning, please check the schedule at Joker's Updates for alternate times and possible alternate channels for tonight's Big Brother if you're being pre-empted by football. If your station is not listed there, please check your local listings and your local CBS website for further details. Thank you.

-:10 - Gabbly is causing me headaches. Try this alternative chat room for tonight. We'll see how that goes. Everybody ready for the show?

:00 - Show starting. Previously on Big Brother....

:03 - Julie looks nice in a cream-colored silk shirt and orangish pants. It's Day 62 in the house and it's been a week of highs and lows. Eric & Jessica have taken their relationship to a new level but Dick & Daniele have reopened old wounds. There's a fifth member of the E/J/D/D alliance and that's us. Minutes from now the house votes live. But first...

:04 - What's love and what's strategy? Is it always clear? Footage of Eric not using the POV. Amber in DR says it's not fair and that Eric is looking out for Eric and that it's clear he's only there for himself. Zach in DR says he'd like to think he's established relationships with everybody in the house versus Amber who's a floater. He says he's not going down without a fight.

:05 - Eric & Jessica in HOH room. Jessica begins crying saying she feels bad putting up two people who didn't have a problem with her at all and nnow one of them is leaving but if she'd put up Dick and Daniele.... She feels like she made the biggest mistake. Eric asks Jessica if she really thinks Amber likes her and Jessica says no. Amber's coming into HOH room now. She says she really wants to be there and begins crying. Says she's worked hard and has a lot at stake. Says there are no hard feelings and she means that. Says if she can't win it as a good person then she wants another good person to win it.

:07 - Eric in DR says that Amber has one argument only - that the good people need to win the game. He says he's tired of her crying and wants her to leave on Thursday. Amber leaves HOH room. Jessica says to Eric she wants to keep Amber but then Eric says that Zach will come up and Jessica will say the same thing about him later.

:08 - Dick & Zach in BY. Dick asks if he thinks he's going to stay. Zach says yes. Dick says that Amber had her chance - she turned down a chance at $10,000 on POT. Zach says he only needs $15,000 or maybe 20 to take care of what he wants to. Zach says if he gets HOH he's going to put up Jess and Jameka and backdoor Eric if he can do it. Dick basically says there's no way Zach's going home this week and tells him he's going to stay.

:09 - Jameka & Amber are in HOH room and Jessica comes in and interrupts them. Amber says that this whole week has been like Eric was HOH. Jameka says that everybody Eric's wanted out has gone out. Jessica says that's nuts. Jameka says Eric won't get HOH. Amber says he won't get HOH because then there'd be pics of his girlfriend. Amber thinks Eric is playing his game through her (Jessica). Jessica tells Amber that if the vote is tied that she will keep Amber. Amber tells Jessica she thinks that he does have feelings for her but it's also part of the game and that he's playing the game for himself. Jameka asks Jess if she feels differently now. Jess in DR says that she bashed on Eric a lot and is now confused. Eric comes in to HOH now and asks them if they're going to join them.

:11 - Jess leaves and Amber tells Jameka that she has to get Daniele's vote.

:11 - Amber goes to talk to Daniele when Dani's leaving in bed and tells her that she has to vote to keep her. She swears on her little girl's life that she'd take her off the block. Flashback to when Dani was HOH and Amber promised her everything. Dani in DR says it would be in her best interest if Amber would stay.

:12 - Eric gets his AP task about who to get evicted. America voted Amber. Eric says she's self-righteous and needs to get off her high horse and stop telling everybody she's better than everybody else and needs to go home.

:13 - Eric & Jessica in HOH room laying on the bed with the lights on. Eric asks her what her, Amber, and Jameka were talking about. Jessica skimming over their conversation. Jessica then tells Erica that she said that he doesn't want to win HOH because of pics of his girlfriend. More about what Amber said. Eric tells Jessica that he doesn't have a girlfriend and that he's already had these conversations with her. Eric getting upset saying that he doesn't appreciate what Amber's saying and says let's be serious. She was a drug user with a 5-year-old child, etc. Eric tells Jessica that Amber's going home this week and tells Jessica that she's trying to make her have problems with the only person who really has her back in the house. Jess says she thinks Amber was looking out for her. Eric says Amber's a bitch.

:15 - Dick talking to Jess and Eric in HOH room. He tells them what Zach's plan is if he gets HOH. Eric tells Dick that Zach told them that he plans on putting Dick and Daniele up because they're powerful and can't be beaten.

:16 - Coming up, Jameka's family and pastor talk about her and some news that she has yet to learn about. Also ahead, Eric and Jessica are getting closer everyday. Are Eric's feelings for Jessica real or is America's Player really a playa? We talk to the people that know him the best including the other woman in his life. Stay with us. Commercial.

:19 - Time to go live to the living room. They can't hear her at first. JC says they all got naked for the shopping spree. She asks Jessica why by the end she called it the best day in the house. Jess says after she took her clothes off it was a whole new 'me'. JC asks Dani about how emotional she got when she found out Nick had been waiting for her at POT. Dani says 1-5-3. She wishes Nick was in the house and a lot she has to say to him but can sum it up in those three numbers. She won't decode and says he knows what it means. Amber says she felt like she was put in the position she was in on POT for a reason and it was an experience of a lifetime. JC says that Robin from Middletown, Delaware has a question for Dick. A picture speaks a thousand words - clips of videos of Dick spitting. Dick says he has no idea why he spits so much and that it's like walking and talking for him.

:22 - Jameka's church and her family speak out now about Jameka's faith. Footage of Jameka. Church footage now and the pastor says they love her and are praying for her. Jeff (her pastor) believes that God has ordained for Jameka to be on the show. Footage of Jameka saying the game is pre-determined. Dick carrying on about Jameka's faith. Jameka's sister says that Jameka's the type who will tell you how it is. When she saw Jameka ripping on Dick she was rooting for her. She feels sorry for Dick and feels that Dick is angry and missing something in his life. Everybody doesn't have the benefit of having a strong faith in their life. Jameka praying for other people is her spirit and her passion and she knows that every time Jameka prays she's helping other people. Jameka's third niece has been born (that was the news).

:25 - When we return, Eric's other woman in his life shares her thoughts on his romance with Jessica. Commercial.

:28 - When it was revealed that Eric would be AP, his family was worried it would destroy his game. His family and the girl he left behind tell us what they think. Footage of Eric in house. Josh, Eric's older brother, says he's been watching the show all summer online and on Showtime. It's been his life all summer. Alex, Eric's younger brother, believes that aligning with Dick believes it allowed America to align with Eric. Josh is optimistic that aligning with D/D has a foursome that can get them to the end. Josh is in favor of E/J's relationship both personally and strategically. Alex says it was never Eric's intention going into the game to have a romantic fling. The fact that it happened anyway indicates that he has true interest. Cheryl was his ex-girlfriend who was his on/off girlfriend for four years but three weeks before he entered the house he considered getting back together with her but she wasn't interested.

:30 - Cheryl says she misses him and gets excited for him watching him on TV. She says she's basically his little cheerleader. Josh says that Eric may have lied about AP's tasks but he hasn't lied about Cheryl. Cheryl is not his girlfriend. Cheryl says that Jessica and Eric are forming a bond and she can't help but feel a little jealous and feels like she's going to cry. Cheryl says that until he comes off the show and tells him that his feelings towards Jessica meant something else she's 150% on his side and can't wait to see him.

:32 - JC talks to Jess in HOH room. Asks her about Jen warning her before she left. Jess says that coming from the source she didn't know if she could trust her. Spoke with Amber and Eric and she trusts Eric and doesn't believe what Jen had to say. Jessica said it took so long for them to kiss because of the pressure and they're supposed to be there for the game. Jessica says that between JEDD she thinks a lot of people will think she'll be the first person out but she's gonna try her best to make it to the end.

:34 - Time to talk with nominees. Zach says that from mad hatters to guitar smashers to bunny suits he's enjoyed many memories with everybody in this place he calls a wonderland and wants to continue his path down the rabbit hole. Amber begins crying and says she didn't know how hard it would be and would love to stay there but if it's in God's plan for her to go then it's time and she won't hold any hard feelings.

:35 - Time for live voting. Reminds Jessica of breaking the possible tie. Jameka (sniffling) votes to evict Zach. Eric is playing for us and 78% of us wanted him to evict Amber. JC tells him he's successfully completed 17 out of 24 tasks and has won $30,000 so far. Dick votes to evict Amber. Daniele votes to evict Amber. Amber will get the bad news when we return. Commercial.

:40 - By a vote of 3-1, Amber you are evicted from the BB house. She hugs Dick, Eric, Jessica, Daniele (whispers something to Daniele), hugs Zach, and finally Jameka. She's wanting to cry but holding it together until she begins hugging Jameka. Jameka's crying now. Amber wishes them all good luck and leaves. Jameka walks off crying.

:41 - Amber meets JC and tells her she's beautiful. Jameka's really beginning to cry in the house now and is hugging Jessica and Eric and Daniele. Jameka's losing it.

:42 - Amber thinks she was evicted because nobody wanted to sit next to her in the final 2 because of how strong she is. Amber thinks Eric was behind her eviction. JC asks her about the 'good people'. Amber says she determined the good people based upon how honest they were and if they went behind people's back and if they were nasty and rude. Amber doesn't believe that God didn't not want her to win but she made a big mistake in voting out Nick. Amber wants to be a motivational speaker and nurse and believes something good will come out of this.

:44 - Daniele says that unfortunately somebody had to go. Zach says that if this is truly God's reason then she has something better to look forward to. Eric thinks she has a great heart and really very sorry. Jessica's glad they got the opportunity to get closer and believes that she is a good person. Dick say he's sorry to see her go and hopes that she understands and realizes that it's just a game. No more tears. Jameka says she doesn't know how this happened (Amber bawling) but that she's looking forward to hanging out with her outside of the house and that she loves her. JC tells her she's off to the jury house but will see her on the 18th. BTW, all of her goodbye messages were very nice.

:45 - Time for the HOH competition.

:46 - Jessica and Jameka can't compete (4th week of her 5 weeks of not being able to compete. Houseguests, you're invited to a tea party (can't tell yet what kind of comp this will be - long lanes like in a bowling alley kinda). Please select a giant teapot and stand next to it. Who has what it takes to win the next HOH? Stay with us. Commercial.

:49 - Tonight's comp is called the Big Brother Tea Party. Each is standing next to a teapot that has 55 gallons of tea in it. They have to transfer enough tea to their tank at the end of their walkway as fast as they can. As the level in the tank rises so will the silver ball that's in it. The first houseguest to carry their silver ball to the finish line will be the new HOH. What they have to transport the tea in is a tiny little teacup. (It's very very tiny.)

:51 - The competition starts now. The walkway seems to have some kind of slippery substance on it. JC tells us the cups only hold 3 ounces and it takes 16 gallons to fill up their tanks. JC tells us that's about 683 trips back and forth or seven miles. JC tells us that if they were to run it could take all night. Yay! I like it. Are you ready to be up all night?

:52 - JC give us Eric's next AP assignment. Which houseguest do we want Eric to get nominated? Vote here for free! Max of 10 votes and votes will be accepted until midnight Pacific time tonight. Commercial.

:55 - JC welcomes us back and says the HOH competition is underway. She says they're about to make the competition a lot more slippery with a concoction of corn oil and baby oil.

:55 - Showing them walking and balancing them to the end of their walkway. JC says the tea looks bland. Here's something to sweeten it up. The oil concoction begins shooting out from different spigots onto the walkway to keep things slippery for them.

:56 - JC tells us to go to the feeds to watch the rest of the competition. HOH nominations on Sunday. Special POV competition on Tuesday with Janelle. On Thursday, by the end of the hour, two of them will be evicted.

:58 - Back to the HOH competition. You could hear BB over the speakers telling them to be careful with that? No more spraying going on right now. Ooops. Spraying starts again.

Well folks, the show is over!!! What did you think about the show? Who are you wanting Eric to get nominated? Personally, I'm voting for Daniele because that's really what would be best for him and Jessica.

Who Do You Want To Win?

Choosing who you want to win might be easier for some of you than others. For me, it's difficult. One of Silly Hamsters' long-time commenters, Matthew, asked who I wanted to win yesterday evening and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since.

Who I want to win isn't necessarily who I believe played the best game. I know some people don't particularly care to look at the hamsters' gameplay and only root for who they like. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that but I like to also look at gameplay when making this kind of decision.

I like Jessica but I don't think she's played the game well. But she won HOH two times! So what. She nominated Dick and Daniele the first time around, Daniele won the POV, and then Jessica lost site of the end game by putting Dustin up in Daniele's place with the intent of backdooring him. While it was fun for us to watch Dustin's bewilderment at being evicted, I don't think it was very smart to get rid of him. Jessica's HOH nominations this week would have been fine if she'd planned on backdooring Dick or Daniele. But she didn't. Zach was honest in telling Jessica what was best for her (and for him) by explaining who and why she should backdoor Daniele. She didn't listen. Because of not sticking to her plan of getting rid of a Donato her first HOH week and then by just plain making stupid decisions during her second HOH, I don't think she deserves to win. Overall, I'd give her a grade of B-.

I don't like Daniele (at all) but I believe she's played the game the best of the two blondes still remaining by winning two HOH competitions and two POV competitions. She won those competitions when it was crucial for her and her dad and if she hadn't she and/or her dad wouldn't still be in the house. Daniele did make a big mistake though by planting herself up Nick's rear end so early on in the game. She wound up isolating herself from the others in the house by spending so much time with him and when she wasn't canoodling with Nick she was fighting with her father. One set of Daniele's nominations was good (Kail and Jen) while the other (Amber and Jameka) could have been better. Because of her ability in competitions alone she's definitely one to watch out for and if she happened to be in the Final 2 this season, don't be surprised if you see me wanting her to win over the other. At this moment, I would give her a A-.

I'm 50/50 on Dick. I like him at times and don't at others. I'm not a fan of floaters in this game but I don't appreciate all of the intimidation factors he used. He would say it was all gameplay but I don't believe that. I believe part of it was because he normally wouldn't be able to act the way he did without possibly getting arrested or getting his ass kicked in the real world. Did he push the envelope? Absolutely. Did his tactics work a lot of the time? Indeed they did. His nominations of Jen and Kail during his HOH reign were good ones but he lost sight of the plan when he, yet again, let his emotions take over and put Mike up in Jen's place when she won the POV instead of sending Kail home. He can fight when he needs to and I don't think we're going to see that fight die soon. I'd give him a B+ so far.

I like Eric and believe his gameplay has been just OK. While in his case I understand, I still don't and can't wholeheartedly get behind players who continuously throw HOH competitions. It can't have been easy for him to have been chosen by Grodner as America's Player and he obviously had difficulty with it for awhile. However, for every disadvantage he had as the AP player he had advantages as well. I was glad that he was able to finally play in a POV competition and win the Power of Veto but very disappointed when he decided not to use it. If he's still in the house, his role as America's Player will probably be ending at 11:59 AM on Wednesday, September 12th. If he can escape eviction that following evening, he'll head into the three-part final HOH competition and be playing solely for himself. Does he have a chance of winning if he makes it that far? I believe so. I'd grade him a B+ so far.

This post is getting rather long but I can wrap up the rest of the hamsters rather quickly.

Amber will be going home tonight so she's not going to win but I would give her a grade of F if she did wind up sticking around. No gameplay, a hanger-on (first with Dick, then Dustin, and finally Jameka), and entirely way too emotional. She's definitely not worthy enough to stay in the house any longer and should have been gone a long time ago.

Zach has grown on me. I appreciate his humor in certain situations but he speaks when he shouldn't and doesn't speak when he should. He's had his moments of brilliance but because of his social faux pas in the house not many were willing to listen to him when it really mattered. He did good by trying to find a partner in the house to go to the end with but unfortunately he picked Kail and she didn't want just a two-person alliance. Instead of adapting to the changing dynamics in the house and finding a new place to hang his hat, he's decided to hang every hat he owns all over the house. Bad move. For him to have a chance he's going to need to win HOH tonight. You were a cute bunny in the house Zach but your gameplay gets a D+ from me.

I don't even know where to begin with Jameka. She has has played all over the place and never found any good footing. She made one of the dumbest mistakes in BB this season by winning that POV and using it on Jen just because Jen drew her ball. She did however make one of the biggest moves in the house this season by giving up the chance of competing in 5 HOH competitions. Dumb move? Perhaps. But if she hadn't done that (even though she had no reason to do it) she probably wouldn't have been dragged as far as she has been in this game. I don't see her winning the game and I don't believe she deserves to win the game. She gets a C- from me.

So after all of this, I'm going to say that I want either Eric or Dick to win the game. However, I think that Daniele or Dick deserve to win the game.

A programming note for tonight: Make sure you check your local listings for tonight's show. Many of you are not going to be able to watch the show live tonight because of football or Big Brother may be shown on an alternate channel. Joker's Updates has a list of locations that are being pre-empted here so make sure you check it out. I'll be liveblogging here tonight so follow along with us and jump in chat at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT if you're in one of the affected areas. Even if you're not, join us anyway! LOL

Who are you wanting to win HOH tonight? Do you think there will be a double eviction this week? Who do you want to win Big Brother? Who do you think deserves to win Big Brother?

Haven't Missed Much It Seems

Well I'm back and I'm tired. Unfortunately there was no beach time to be had. I had to settle for just driving by and looking at them instead. I actually had a couple of personal matters to take care of and that's why I was away from y'all for so long so please forgive me for not mentioning that earlier. I did however enjoy the drive there and back and broke my tires in quite nicely. But enough about me. On to the Big Brother goings on today!

From what I've gathered by reading most BB sites, it seems like I haven't missed much at all. Some of the hamsters got quite tipsy last night and Dick even fell into the pool. Eric and Jessica had another makeout session this morning up in the HOH room after Eric came clean to her about most of the stuff he's been up to in the house. Amber's still delusional in thinking she has a shot at staying Thursday night (LOL) and was trashing Eric to Jameka every chance she had available. And of course (since it's Wednesday) they took pictures this afternoon for the CBS site.

So the plan to oust Amber on Thursday is still in place. Jessica did promise her tie-breaker vote to Amber but that was before she smoothed things over with Eric this morning. So the votes the way they stand right now are for Dick and Daniele to vote Amber out. Jameka will vote Zach out. Based upon Eric's conversations early this morning and today, he'll (we'll) be casting a vote for Whamber to go. Votes would be 3-1 for Amber to be evicted.

It will be perfectly fine with me when she walks out the door on Thursday night. I just wish they would target Jameka next instead of Zach. But that's for selfish reasons. Gamewise, I guess it does make more sense for them (JEDD or LJC or whatever they're being called at the moment) to target Zach next. But I like the ogre! LOL! And I still believe it was a huge mistake for Eric and Jessica's game for Eric to not have used the POV to take either one of them (Amber or Zach) off the block so that Jessica could put up Daniele.

Amber's going to be really shocked on Thursday I believe. I wonder when she'll start crying. Will it be when Julie announces that she's been evicted? Will it be when she's hugging Jameka? Will it be when she walks out the front door? Will it be when she meets Julie? Will it be when she sees her goodbye messages? Or could she do the unthinkable and not cry at all? tongue.gif

Free For All

Most of you don't know this but I guess now you do - I'm on vacation this week from my regular 8-5. And guess what? I'm going to spend a day away from Big Brother, the TV, and even the computer. *shock*

I'm unplugging from everything. Well almost everything. I still have my cell phone! Those of you that know my number had better call or text me if something major happens! LOL

I'm getting the shakes already just thinking about it but it'll do me good. I need a little life recharge and I love getting out and driving when that happens. This probable slow day on the feeds combined with the new tires on my car and and some new pavement to go conquer and twist equals a great day for me. I might even stop by a beach or two. Texas is a big state but I'll be back in only about 16 hours or so.

Hopefully this doesn't mean that all hell breaks loose once I leave the driveway. But if it does, I'm counting on all of you to take on a starring role and tell others and myself about what's happening so that I and everybody else can be caught up when I get back. But really, the hamsters will probably be sleeping most of the time.

Your comments will still be posted throughout the day (thank you friend!) so don't feel shy when it comes to posting. I'll post about the day's Big Brother happenings later this afternoon or early evening when I get back home and we can compare notes.

Consider this a 'say anything' day for you - Big Brother related or not. Take a deep breath, be nice to everybody, and have some fun today! I know I will! tongue.gif

Call Me Crazy

Could tonight's show be any more hilarious?

I mean come on.

We had Big Brother showing Amber praying in the Diary Room, the chanting monk music while Jameka was praying at the side of the HOH bed, Daniele crying because she wasn't able to see or speak to Nick at the 'Power of 10' taping, the first kiss between Eric and Jessica, Zach actually making sense concerning backdooring Daniele, the weird-looking Cheshire cat who was hungry for rats during the POV competition, Amber pleading her case to Eric in the HOH room, and Eric not using the POV.

Every single show I think CBS just can't do any better. The way that they edited Jameka's praying at the side of the empty HOH bed had me rolling. Honestly. Jameka! Couldn't you find somewhere else to pray where the cameras wouldn't so conveniently film you? You could have prayed while on sitting on the toilet and only had one or two cameras on you but you chose to pray at the HOH's bedside? I could have understood more if there had been somebody who was dying (ie Amber in a sense) laying there but it was empty for crying out loud. BTW, Jessica telling the DR that she thought Jameka had fallen and hit her head was hilarious.

All of you conspiracy theorists out there should be made to eat crow concerning this episode. You all thought that CBS would just show the footage of Eric and Jessica's first kiss as Eric's completed AP task. You were wrong! It's OK. You can admit it.

Was Eric's POV speech grandiose and over the top or was it just me? Talk about somebody who is a little too full of themself. I thought he had toned it down from his original speech but he didn't - at least not by much. I remember listening to him go over his upcoming POV speech with Jessica on Monday morning and it was super over the top. Jessica reminded him that these people could be potential votes for or against him down the line. So yeah, he toned it down. From a 10 to an 8!

I can't let this post go without mentioning Amber and Daniele's competing against each other on the 'Power of 10' tonight. Besides being confused as to what Amber's real last name is/was, I was also surprised that Amber beat Daniele to advance to the money round. Go Amber! I think I just puked a little bit inside of my mouth typing that. Of course though, Amber didn't make it far. Between her crying bouts (I wonder how much CBS had to edit that), she managed to get two questions right but only took home $1,000 in prize money because she missed the $100,000 question which forfeited her $10,000 second round money. Ah well Whamber, after taxes you'll have about $500 of that. Yeah, that's what the IRS is. Perhaps they should audit you so that you can completely understand. Just be sure to invite God when they come a knockin'. laughing.gif

Finally, I have to say that I'm looking forward to Survivor and many of my other shows starting next month. Besides being a Big Brother addict, I'm also a reality TV junkie. And besides reality TV, I'm just a TV junkie. If you were to ask me to list the shows that I watch, you would probably come kidnap me and put me in a padded cell away from a TV and a computer. I'm gonna have to remember lock the deadbolt tonight. LOL

Don't forget to vote for Eric's AP task tonight. It's a Tuesday so we have to vote for who we want him to evict - Amber or Zach. Voting closes at midnight Pacific time tonight and you can vote up to 10 times online for free by going here. I'm putting all of my votes toward Amber.

What did you think about the show tonight? Did you enjoy the POV competition as much as I did? How do you think Daniele and Amber did on Power of 10? Do you think Eric made a mistake in not using the POV? Who did you vote for Eric to evict? Are you looking forward to this upcoming season of Survivor?

Favorite Hamster Moments So Far

As the death knell looms ever closer for Amber and this week slows to a crawl, I thought now would be an opportune time to list our favorite houseguest moments. I left Carol out because I can't remember her having anything other than a string of depressed moments but if you can remember a good moment concerning Carol feel free to add it. laughing.gif

Please post yours in the comments. Between all of us there should be some real gems. With that said, let's go!

Fave Joe moment - Definitely when he was dressed in those overalls and making fun of Amber

Fave Mike moment - His entire Magnus time in the Iron Man competition

Fave Nick moment - When I heard him talking about how his dad thought he was gay and then he mentioned giving a guy a bj not long after the feeds came on; mohawk time would be a close second

Fave Kail moment - Perhaps one will come to me later

Fave Dustin moment - Without a doubt, the shocked look on his face when he was evicted

Fave Jen moment - Too many to list but how well she handled it when Dick dumped his glass of tea on her ranks right up there

Fave Amber moment - Again, too many to list but I got a chuckle out of this one time while she was praying she coughed and told God "excuse me"

Fave Daniele moment - I can't think of one. You don't understaaaannnndddd.

Fave Dick moment - When he told the story of how he found his best friend dead in a hotel room. I thought it was very touching.

Fave Eric moment - Definitely the awkward first kiss with Jessica but the mustard moment was hilarious!

Fave Jameka moment - I need to pray about this one.

Fave Jessica moment - Probably the other day when she put on that white dress and made herself look pregnant and went looking for Eric so that he could pay his child support

Fave Zach moment - Not one in particular but I loved how he was so raring to go and dump that slop concoction over himself every single hour after that POV competition

ETA at 6:15 AM - I almost forgot! Don't forget to watch Power of 10 tonight at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT before Big Brother.

Noms Stay The Same

Really. Is anybody surprised? Hell, I was more surprised that Amber wasn't crying when the feeds came back on.

I also wasn't surprised when Jameka made a beeline for the HOH room to gab with Jessica. Jameka's been acting as though she were the queen of the HOH room instead of Jessica this week. Of course, it's only because Jameka's getting desperate. She realizes her time is coming to an end in the BB house.

Did any of y'all catch the short little kiss Eric gave Jessica this morning in the HOH room before they went down for the POV ceremony? It was just one of those quick 'good morning' kisses and was cute. I didn't see Eric kiss anybody during Spin the Bottle last night or when they were playing quarters and if he was going to kiss Dick, that would have been the time to do it. Since Jessica was probably the one chosen by the voters, I wonder if BB will let their quick kiss count as a task completed this morning?

I must say I had a great time watching them play quarters this morning. It was hilarious when Dick would go up and lick Jen's picture on the memory wall, and when Zach would go up to Nick's picture and raise his shirt and rub himself while saying, "It's your loss not mine." The best though would be every time Amber spoke Zach would have to say, "The bottle does not lie, you're going home this week." If you missed any of it, check out some of those YouTube links over there on the sidebar because there are plenty of vids of their games this morning.

So what do y'all think about the nominations staying the same? What about Jameka's behavior? What was your favorite part in their game of quarters?

America's Next Top Weepy Model

If it wasn't clear before tonight it should be crystal clear to everybody after watching the show tonight. Big Brother does not like Amber. I find that extremely hilarious but that's because I don't like her either. Amber's fans probably think otherwise.

Tonight's show was standard fare regarding a Sunday show. A recap of Jen leaving, them clapping when her picture turned black & white, and then there was a segment on what happened when Jen was leaving as far as what she told Amber to tell to Jess.

Jen wanted Amber to tell Jessica about Eric's girlfriend Cheryl and she didn't waste any time in doing so. Then we get a clip of Jessica in the diary room saying that she hates cheaters and liars and has to watch out for Eric now. Eric discusses Cheryl with Amber in the backyard explaining how it was an on and off again type of thing. Then Eric and Jess talk about it privately up in the HOH room. Jessica's OK with things after their talk.

Big Brother then treated us to a Dick and Daniele fighting segment. Those are always fun to watch. NOT. I'm so over their whole storyline so I'm not going into it again.

It's time for their first luxury competition of the season! They're split up into teams (boys vs girls) and each of them gets a 'uniform' to wear containing many different individual pieces of clothing. Each article of clothing has a letter sewn onto the inside of it. The first team to form the three words (bunnysuits, unitard, toga) that all of their clothing spells and hang the clothing on the clotheslines wins a shopping spree. The girls weren't too keen on getting into their birthday suits at first but they got into it quick enough. And yeah, the girls won. It was funny how we were shown the Jess/Jameka naked hug that they were telling everybody about later on the feeds. The guys were allowed to watch as the girls had two minutes to grab the clothes they wanted and they loaded up.

At this point in the show CBS had already made certain to highlight Amber in 'some way' several times since its start. But now? Oh Big Brother. I couldn't stop laughing. The editing was perfect. Amber tells Jameka how Nick had told Amber she should be on America's Next Top Model. Amber thinks she has the face, hair, body, and personality to do it and be a successful model. The entire time Amber's talking about this, CBS is playing sexy music in the background while showing clips of Amber while she's giving her reasons for being able to model. The slow motion video of her blowdrying her hair was hilarious!

Eric received Thursday's AP task and it was to get Amber nominated. He was happy about it and very certain he could make that happen. He talks to Jessica about Amber up in the HOH room and then he's given his newest task. I'll get to that in just a second.

Finally, we're given the nomination segment. Blah blah blah. Jessica nominates Zach and Amber for basically the same reasons - even though she's closer to them now they weren't there with her from the beginning like others in the house were. The show ends.

Back to Eric's current AP task. America is to vote which houseguest they want Eric to kiss. LMAO!!!! Now y'all know how I feel about the AP thing and I'm usually all for working with Eric instead of against. This time? I wouldn't say I'm working against him but I just can't pass up this opportunity. Besides, we all know what happened this morning so I'm completely comfortable with my decision. I'll be voting very shortly for Dick to be the houseguest that Eric kisses. I know I know. You can cast your votes here. Please think about giving Dick a chance.

So what did y'all think about tonight's show? And what did you think about the spotlight being on Amber (in a sense) tonight? Perhaps most importantly, for whom did you cast your votes for Eric to kiss? tongue.gif

First Kiss

Ladies and gentlemen, we have liftoff. biggrin.gif

I woke up this morning, made some coffee, and turned on the feeds. What did I find? Eric and Jessica gabbing in the HOH bed with the lights on. So while listening to them, I began catching up on the overnight happenings. That didn't turn out to be much except for JEDD promising again to each other that they'll be the Final Four. Plans are for Amber to go home this week, Zach next week, and then Jameka.

So while I'm reading, Eric's getting a little bit more touchy feely with Jessica (nothing obscene). He gets up to turn the lights out and then crawls back into bed with Jessica. More small talk but he's getting closer and she's playing hard to get. He talks about how they can't see each other because it's so dark in there and and if only she could read his mind. LOL

They're getting closer and closer to each other - well actually he's getting closer and closer to her. She's kinda just laying there and letting him rub her arm and hair. You can see Eric's mind about to literally go up in smoke trying to figure out if he should make his move and when he should do it.

And then finally...

Then there's their second not quite as awkward but still awkward kiss. Funny when Eric says, "Your hand actually moves - that's crazy". And then later when Jessica says, "Oh no what have we started." LMAO

After more than an hour passes since their second kiss, more awkward talk and then a couple of weird kisses between the two of them thanks to Jessica. Methinks Jessica is wanting some space.

The above videos were recorded by me and following are the direct links to them in YouTube:
Eric & Jessica's 1st Kiss
Eric & Jessica's 2nd Kiss
Eric & Jessica's 3rd Kiss

So what do you think about these kisses between them? Do you feel that Jessica is really into Eric or do you think she's just yanking his chain? Do you think anything would happen if the rest of the house found out about their kissing? Do you think Jessica will begin to touch Eric more? LOL

AP Wins POV

Eric wins POV

Well whadya know. Eric won the POV!

You know what this means don't you? Yeppers. We'll probably be voting for him to use it or not.

How do you think things are going to play out in this turn of events?

ETA at 2:50 PM - Yes, I realize the POV show is on Tuesday. But, they could move the POV competition up to Sunday night's show and end it with us voting on Eric to use it or not. That would put the fallout from HOH competition, Jessica's nominations, luxury comp, and POV competition on Sunday's show. Tuesday's show could have the POV ceremony, sequester house footage with Dustin and Jen, and other filler. It's only natural that we should vote for Eric to use the POV because he is America's Player after all. LOL

Been Caught Stealin'

Can you guess who was nominated? But first... laughing.gif

The hamsters got lucky today. No food competition! Of course that means no slop restrictions for the week. But they got to compete in a luxury competition today. From what I've gathered, the competition sounds like it went down something like the one mentioned in this article from BB4. Except this season it was the guys vs the girls and the winners got to have a shopping spree instead of laundry service. LOL

The girls won of course and got to shop 'til they dropped inside the house while the guys rooted them on. You can see parts of the shopping spree here, here, and the aftermath here. Thanks to xx2000xx, katydid, and BB8house respectively.

Later on I had the wonderful experience of walking in to my home after work, setting my stuff down, walking over to my computer, turning on the feeds, and seeing Amber topless and then, almost immediately afterward, bottomless. Alrighty then. Ahhh, she was trying on her new clothes with Jameka. But still. Couldn't it have been a guy's naughty bits I saw at that particular moment? I swear, I saw Amber's breasteses so many times tonight I lost count. But what's a girl gonna do when she has new clothes to try on? Wearing t-shirts underneath clingy tops and dresses while trying them on just doesn't work. Ask Jessica.

It seems like most of them got some pretty nice clothes though. Even if there were some holes in the fabric from the anti-theft thingies that were attached to them. LOL

Did you like see like today's House Calls with like Jen? What did you like think of it? I think I gave that girl too much credit in the game. She has an interesting view but I don't know if I'd call it an intelligent one. That may sound mean but then you wouldn't understand unless you watched her today. I still give her mad props for standing up to Dick for so long but....

So Zach and Amber have been nominated. And of course it was no surprise. But hey, Eric gets another task completed. wink.gif

What do you think of Jessica's nominations? How many times did you see Amber naked today? How many tears do you think Amber will cry tonight? Who do you want evicted this week?

I can't wait for the POV tomorrow!

Twists

I know that some Big Brother fans love/like twists in the game and some downright abhor them. One of the many wonderful commenters here on Silly Hamsters who goes by BJ gave me this idea for a post. I thought it would be interesting to bring it up top and see what y'all thought.

Personally, I don't mind twists in Big Brother for the most part. For example, many didn't like the X-Factor twist in BB4 but I actually liked it. Perhaps it's because I enjoyed the drama and scheming in the house that season between Jun and Jee and watching Alison with Nathan along with all of the Erica/Robert drama. Project DNA in BB5 was just so/so I thought and I didn't like the Secret Partners twist in BB6 at all because it was so cheesy.

Of course I remember the show in its purest form in BB1 and then the Americanized versions of Big Brother beginning in season 2. BB2 and BB3 are probably my two favorite seasons ever but many newer fans of Big Brother would probably find them rather tame overall compared to this season of Big Brother 8. There weren't any real 'twists' back then unless you count adding the Power of Veto competition and POV power (BB3), introducing the Golden Power of Veto (Marcellas who didn't use it on himself in BB3), and having a houseguest be evicted and then voted back in (Amy in BB3). Yeah, BB3 was pretty damned exciting. LOL

Now remember when I said I don't mind twists for the most part? For Big Brother 9 I would really love to see a house full of complete strangers. We haven't been treated to that since BB3 and I think it's about time for that to happen again.

What are your thoughts on twists? Do you think there might be at least one more twist left in this season of Big Brother? Would you even want to see another twist this season or any other season? And if you could come up with a twist of your own for either this season or any future seasons, what would you propose? What do you think of having complete strangers play the game next season?

Second HOH For Jessica

Jessica is the newest HOH!

I couldn't help but laughing when it was her and Dick as the final contenders. I was really hoping that Dick wouldn't win it. You don't think he threw it do you?

What did you think about the show tonight? Who do you think Jessica is going to nominate? Do you think she's going to try and backdoor anybody?

Who are you voting for Eric to get nominated? I've already voted my 10 times for it to be Daniele. Puh-lease let it be Daniele. If you haven't voted yet, you can do so by going here.

What other kinds of thoughts are you having right now? So many thoughts are racing through my mind....

ETA on Friday 8/24 at 5:30 AM - Sounds like America voted for Eric to get Amber nominated. LOL

ETA on Friday 8/24 at 9:58 AM - Check out this interview with Jen by The Slug.

Liveblogging - Thursday, August 23th, 2007

-:40 - Are you ready for tonight's show? I sure am! Stop in and chat with us over there while you're waiting for the show to start. You could also stay to chat during the show and after the show about the new HOH. Come on over!

:00 - Previously on....

:03 - Oh Julie. You look so dashing in your black outfit tonight! Daniele went on to win the POV. Dani and Amber won a trip to New York but before they left she blindsided Jen and put her up on the block. In just a few moments one of them will be evicted. But first, where there's smoke there's fire...

:04 - Footage from the POV ceremony of Jen replacing Amber on the block. Jen says in DR that obviously she's not close to Daniele because she's a liar. Jameka in DR says she's very happy about the replacement nominee being Jen. Dani in DR doesn't see Amber or Jameka as a big threat to her in the game and that Jen's a loose cannon in the game.

:05 - Jen in gym on treadmill and Dick comes in. Dick tells Jen that that everybody resents the fact that Jen keeps on about how it's not about the money. Dick tells her that she shouldn't be bitter towards Daniele. Jen says that Daniele won't get her vote no matter what. Dick says if she's going to stay she shouldn't be a bitter bitch.

:06 - Jen and Dani in HOH room. Dani tells Jen that she's her biggest competitor on a strategic level and that obviously she wants her Dad out of the house. Jen says she helped her Dad stay there and it was hard to do that. Jen started crying and then stops. Dani tells Jen it's not personal. Jen tells Dani to have fun on her journey and leaves.

:07 - Jen in DR says she's always having a good time even when she's crying.

:08 - Amber and Daniele called to DR to be whisked away for their trip. Back to backyard with Jen, Dick, and Jameka. Jen says she can't go to sequester house because it'll kill her. Jameka in DR says that so many have given up so much to be there and to be so nonchalant about it degraded the integrity of the game. Jen gets up from the couch and goes inside because of the smoke.

:09 - Jen in DR says that Dick is not polite about his smoking. Footage of Jen packing her stuff up in garbage bags and hiding them around the house. Dick comes in and asks her if she's moving out. Jen says she may as well have packed now.

:09 - Dick goes outside and tells the others that Jen's packing and cooking. Jameka in DR says that Jen said she'd be on slop for 30 days. Back outside, Dick asks Jen why she's cooking. Jameka tells her not to come this far and start crazy stuff and that it won't be good. Dick tells Jen to knock herself out and that she only wants attention.

:10 - Jen goes to round room and takes Dick's cartons (4) of cigarettes and goes to the SR. Jen in DR says she's been wanting to destroy Dick's cigarettes from day one. She's trashing his cigs in SR. She said she knew that destroying them would upset him and that's why she hid her clothes. Outside, Dick says he should go check on his stuff.

:11 - Dick finds his cigarettes missing. Dick asks Jen where she put his cigarettes. "Bitch, I was taking to you." Brings up his truce about not being mean to him. They're back outside now. Dick tells her to go cry some more. Others watching. Dick suggests she go have a turkey burger. Jen says 'OK' and walks inside.

:12 - Dick goes in and Jen goes out. Dick searching through the house for his cigs. While he was doing that, he found her clothes hidden around the house and takes it and puts them upstairs in the HOH room. Dick in DR says that her clothes are hidden up in the HOH and they'll be there until she leaves and says he's dated girls like this before and it's not pretty.

:14 - Dick is back downstairs in kitchen where Jen's at. Dick asks Jen why she's still there. Calls her a baby that can't have her way. Jen said she just found his cigarettes. Dick walks off calling her a stupid bitch and says now he has her clothes and she can walk off in the smelly clothes she's wearing now. Jen says 'OK.

:15 - Jen comes out in backyard with a turkey burger, cottage cheese, and an apple and is eating. Eric looking pissed about her eating. Jameka and Jess out there too. Jess in DR says that nobody wants to be around a cheater. Zach in DR says he has a hard time with people that cheat or break rules in the game. Eric in DR says she's shoving food in her face and must have gained 5 pounds in 30 seconds and has her cheeks out to there with turkey burgers and apples. WOW. Footage of BB calling to DR makes it in on the show.

:16 - Jen in DR says that she's on food restriction and BB gave her a penalty vote when she ate so there will be one vote automatically for her at the eviction.

:17 - Jen in the backyard with Dick. Dick blows smoke in Jen's direction (face) and Jen jumps up to slap the cigarette away and tells him not to blow smoke in her face. He blows smoke in her face again. She keeps reaching for the cigarette. Dick tells her she's going to get burned again. Jen says he's burning her on purpose. They continue going back and forth over the cigarette. He stands up and she holds her hand up to show him the burn. He calls her a crybaby bitch and tells her to go home. Jameka steps in and Jen says she's not doing anything. Dick calls her a psycho bitch and she'll be going home on Thursday.

:18 - Jen goes inside with Jameka and they're looking for burn ointment for Jen's hand. Dick in backyard yells, "it's Showtime!".

:19 - JC tells us that coming up we'll ride along with Amber and Dani as they're whisked away to New York for 'Power of 10' and then the live vote. Commercial.

:21 - JC welcomes us back and says that this week Amber and Dani got a taste of the outside world they'll never forget and a chance at $10,000,000. Footage of Amber and Dani in DR finding out about their trip.

:22 - Footage of them blindfolded leaving and getting in a limo. Boarding a private jet (not blindfolded). They're excited about things. They're served champagne(?) and fruit on the flight.

:23 - In New York now meeting Michael Davies (executive producer of 'Power of 10'). He's telling them about the show. He says they've flown in one person who will sit with them and help them in the game. Nick is there for Dani and Katie (Amber's cousin) is there for her.

:24 - EP tells them they have a real shot at the money. Footage of Dani and Amber getting their makeup done. They're walking onto the stage now.

:25 - Drew Carrey introduces them to the crowd. Crowd cheers. JC tells us we can watch Amber and Daniele face off this coming Tuesday.

:25 - Back to the house. JC asks Amber what did that day of freedom mean? She says it meant a lot and gave her a chance to get her head clear and made her realize things about life that she never appreciated. Daniele says it was well needed and get a little sanity back and extremely appreciated. JC asks Jen about her being the first person in the history of the show ever to break food restriction. How does she feel about it? Jen kinda pauses and says she didn't know what else to do so she thought she would eat. JC says that Eric has some complaining to do about how when he loses a bet in the house he always shows a certain side of himself. Footage for them of Eric wearing women's clothing. Julie asks him if he does it outside of the house. Eric says that it's him live and in living color and that he's a man of his word and that (the footage) was not pretty. (LMAO!!!)

:27 - In just a few minutes, the houseguests vote live. Commercial.

:30 - We're back with Julie. Live to the HOH room with Daniele. JC asks her about her and her father being in jeopardy a week ago. Daniele credits a lot of people in the house with their comeback - counting on Eric and Jessica for getting Dustin out. Do you think there will come a point in the game that you'll turn on him or will you turn on him? She says she hopes it's them two in the end and she'd love to sit next to him in the final two because she thinks she might win. She hopes that she wins over her dad.

:32 - Tonight's evicted houseguest will join Dustin as the second member of the jury. Time to plead their cases. Jen says she's always been a happy positive person who's honest but that she doesn't fit in here. She got thrown this opportunity and thought she'd try it out. Happy to be there and happy to leave. Jameka says she's honored to be there and feels that alot of them know where she stands in the game and how she plays the game and hopes that her giving her her word will keep her around. Julie reminds everybody that Jen has one vote already against her and that if there was a tie Daniele would break it.

:34 - Voting begins. Amber votes to evict Jen. Dick is thrilled to evict Jen this week finally. Eric is up. Eric says that they (him and America) happily vote to evict Jen. The votes are there already - Jen is out. Zach votes to evict Jen. Jessica votes to evict Jen. Julie says she'll break the bad news to Jen after the break. Commercial.

:38 - JC welcomes us back. Time to reveal. By a vote of 6-0, Jen you are evicted. Jen smiling and waves. She hugs Amber and Jameka and Zach and Dani. Jen tells Dani that she's glad she had her back. Eric says as happy as you are leaving we're happier. Dick in round room doing something.

:40 - Jen meets Julie Chen. Dick says look at this bitch and says this was the easiest vote ever to everybody. They're wondering what Jen was talking about when she was leaving. Dick says she was a lying scumbag.

:40 - JC tells Jen that she was one of the most compelling houseguests they've ever had and never knew what to expect from her. Bringing up her slop, wearing the unitard, and her crying over the pic. Jen says using the word random to describe her would work. JC asks her what her strategy was. Jen says she didn't have so much a strategy but she was there to experience things and teach them good things. JC asks her about things that Dick said. Jen says either way if it was strategy or how he feels that it wasn't appropriate but that it's not true. Anybody that knows her would know that. 95% of the things he says are ridiculous. Time for goodbyes.

:43 - Jameka says she thought she was self-centered and obnoxious at first but that she enjoyed the last couple of weeks with her more than the first couple of weeks. Eric says she was an interesting girl and that at times they were close. Dick says she should have been gone a long time ago but through will, fortitude, competitiveness, or plain insanity she lasted a long a long time and hopes her experience was fun. Jessica says she's sorry that she had to go to sequester and leave like this but she was good in the game and that's why she was backdoored. Zach says she was a good competitor and a good chess player and hopes she votes on the integrity, experience, and the way in which the game was played by who is left. Says he'll see her in a month. Dani says she wishes she could have gone out on a better note and thought she had a little bit more integrity in the game than that and apologizes for putting her up. Amber says she's better than she thought she were and says that she's a beautiful girl on the outside and on the inside she needs to find a way to show it off.

:46 - Julie tells Jen she's not done with her yet because they'll be needing Jen's help in the HOH competition coming up. Jen's thrilled about this and says 'suckers'. Commercial fade out of the HOH whatchmacallit in the backyard but doesn't show the set up. Commercial.

:48 - Tonight's comp is called 'Tanks for the Memories'. They're each sitting above 350-gallon tanks of water. BB recently asked questions of the first five HGs to get evicted. They will answer by holding up the A card or the B card. Correct answer and they get to stay in the game. Incorrect answer and Jen will push the button sending them into the cold water.

:49 - Who did Joe say was most in need of a slop diet - Zach or Jameka? Answer is A and they're all right. Who did Carol say would do the worst in a spelling bee - Jessica or Amber? Correct answer is A and Eric has been dunked by Jen. Eric looks pissed.

:50 - Given the choice between Jameka and Dick, who did Kail say she would give her Bible to? All answered A (Jamkea) incorrectly. Who did Nick say he would least want to see streaking - Eric or Zach? Jessica and Dick choose B (correct). Amber and Zach are incorrect and get dunked by Jen.

:52 - Only Jessica and Dick are left. When asked to describe what movie their BB experience was like Kail said Animal House and Nick said Love Actually. Who said 'Meet the Fockers'? A Mike or B Joe? - Jessica says B and Dick says A. Dick is incorrect and is dunked. Jessica is the new HOH!!!!

:53 - Eric hugs her. A bunch of drowning rats are hugging Jessica. LMAO. Dick jumps into Jessica's tank of water getting wet again. What's in store for the house now that Jessica is HOH? Stay with us. Commercial.

:55 - America's Player time. Who do we want out of the house? Tell Eric who he has to get nominated. Vote here! Max of 10 votes and we have until midnight Pacific time tonight.

:56 - Who will Jessica nominate for eviction? Find out Sunday. Push to watch 'Power of 10' on Tuesday. Also on Tuesday, we'll see how the houseguests react when they find out where they went and what they did. Live eviction on Thursday.

:57 - Backyard chatter between everybody. Everything good-natured. Dick smoking. Show's over!

So what did y'all think about tonight's show? Do you think CBS showed the Dick/Jen situation fairly? What do you think of Jen's exit? What do you think about Jessica being HOH? Who do you think Jessica will put up? Who are you voting for Eric to get nominated? I'm going with Daniele.

What a great show tonight!

Enough Already

Dick, stop being a dick.

Yes you provide excitement Dick but come on already. Just give Jen her damned clothes back. She trashed your cigs and Big Brother gave you back the amount she trashed. While hiding other people's belongings is not against the rules, does it really need to go on this long? Ahhh, of course as I'm typing this you're bringing a bag of her stuff down from the HOH room and putting it in one of Jen's drawers while she's in the DR. I'm glad Big Brother finally made you give it back.

BTW Amber, have you given Jen back her makeup and top that you borrowed for your trip? Or are you still planning on keeping it? What does the Bible say about stealing again? Perhaps you should ask Jameka to show you some of those passages.

Eric, lose the tude. You're no Dick. You're just a wannabe.

Dani, I don't even know where to begin. I just want you gone.

Jameka, I just don't particularly care for you. You haven't really done anything. Hmmm mmmm. Oh wait. You did! Hmmm mmmm. You gave up winning 5 HOH's to save somebody else just because they drew your ball. Brilliant. Hmmm mmmm.

Jen, wisen up gal. And don't give up so easily the next time you're in a tight spot. BTW, if you had stopped reading the rule book looking for a way to get out of the penalty nom, you would have probably still been in the house tomorrow evening. And who knows? You might have been the next HOH. But you just couldn't stop. Perhaps you contracted a case of Dick-itis from the man himself.

Zach, I like you more every day. I hope it's you and Jess to the end with you winning it all.

ETA at 5:53 PM - Of course CBS pulled a fast one and I watched pretty much this entire and not very exciting show before they finally told us 7 minutes before the show ends that Amber and Daniele will be on this coming Tuesday's show. I then turned the show off. Grrrr.

Why Are You Watching?

I am absolutely loving this season of Big Brother. It's driving me crazy but I love it! Seasons 2 and 3 will always be favorites for me but I think this season ranks right up there.

I love the houseguests (past and present) this season. I love all of the drama that has happened and the drama that's still unfolding.

I'm enjoying the commotion that the America's Player tasks create for Eric and the other hamsters. I will absolutely love it when all of the houseguests find out about America's Player.

I'm enjoying the stupidity the houseguests have shown when it concerns breaking up the Dick and Daniele alliance. I find it completely amusing that so many of them can have their minds changed by somebody in practically under a minute.

I love that a penalty nomination was finally handed out and then taken back. I love how Big Brother will be casting their own vote this week.

I love how much we're all wrapped up in this game this season. Some hate it, some love it. Some hate Dick and some love him. Some can't stand Jameka and/or Amber and others love them. The Daniele fans and her haters. The Eric ambivalence. Jen's attitude.

There are so many different categories of fans this season. Many more so I feel compared to previous seasons (especially the last two seasons).

But let's face it. We are Big Brother addicts. We have this love/hate relationship with this game show and we can't deny it. We look forward to it every year. When June rolls around we start getting excited because we know we'll soon have new hamsters to root for and against. We start flocking to our favorite Big Brother sites searching for information. Little things make us giddy like the CBS Big Brother page going up or reading a sliver of a rumor about a possible houseguest.

So I would like to end this post with one single question that I'd like you all to answer if you could spare a little time. Why are you watching Big Brother?

ETA at 11:40 AM - BTW, try to watch or record 'Power of 10' tonight. I think tonight's episode will be the one that has Amber and Daniele on it. At least that's the rumor going 'round.

Power of 10

There was a lot going on in the show tonight. It seemed to be much more jam-packed than usual even for a Tuesday show. I'm just going to hit the high points.

Show starts and it's Day 48 after the nomination ceremony. Dani tells Jameka it wasn't personal and it's a game. Jen talking to Jess about how backdooring Dustin might have been a mistake. Jen wonders if Dani would replace somebody on the block with somebody else and is wondering who that might be.

Cute little segment with Eric showing Jess his wrestling moves. Sexy music playing by CBS and then Zach comes in and there's a 'screech' sound effect. Zach said in the DR that he likes 'blocking' Eric and Zach goes and lays on Eric and then Jessica and says hello to her boobs. Jess twists Zach's nipples and that puts a stop to all of that.

It's time for God talk now. Jameka and Amber are talking on the hammock in the backyard and Amber thinks Jameka is a pawn to get her (Amber) out. Amber says she had a vision that they would both be there next week and that this is God's way of prepping her for the next week. Amber's vision is that she will win POV and her and Jameka will be the final two.

Eric's 'woobie' challenge was met by laughter. After finding out that it was Jess he had to give the woobie to, he said that America must love him. He presents his woobie to Jessica and all is well in the universe. And yeah, that task was marked as completed.

Time to draw the balls for the POV competition! Dani gets 'houseguest's choice' and chooses her dad, Amber draws Jessica, and Jameka draws Zach. Daniele picks Eric to be the host. Amber tells Jameka (in a little moment) that they were both put on the block for a reason. The POV competition takes place at the Big Brother Speedway (their backyard) and the two finalists are oing to win a trip outside of the BB house. The hamsters have to guess as closely possible, without going over, the correct percentage to a poll question asked by CBS to fans. Blah blah blah. Daniele wins and Amber takes second place so they're both going on a trip outside of the house.

Amber and Daniele talk in the HOH room and Amber promises everything except her daughter to Daniele in return for being taken off the block. Lots of funny ding sounds each time Amber promises her something. It was quite hilarious! Especially if you saw it live when it happened on the feeds. LOL

Of course, Daniele takes Amber off of the block during the POV ceremony and puts Jen up in her place. She tells Jen that it's nothing personal but that some of them do want to win the money and she doesn't want to take that opportunity away from the others.

Now we're treated to a dual Amber and Daniele DR session where they're told about their mystery trip. They will be leaving the Big Brother house to board a private jet to New York City. They will be contestants on the game show 'Power of 10' hosted by Drew Carey. One of them will have the chance to win up to $10,000,000. They're shocked and very excited. Very cool trip Big Brother! You did good.

Of course, Eric's next America's Player task is who we want Eric to get evicted. Jen or Jameka? We can vote max of 10 times up to midnight BB time by going here. Personally, I'm putting all of my votes towards Jameka. I really hope all of you do the same as well.

What did y'all think about tonight's show? Any favorite parts? Who are you voting for or who did you vote for?

ETA at 8:30 PM - I'm getting many emails and comments telling me that Big Brother has rescinded Jen's penalty nomination and went just with their added vote to evict her on Thursday evening as her total punishment. Even though I was listening to the convo, I believed the extra vote was on top of the penalty nomination for the week but it seems I might be wrong or misunderstood the conversation altogether. It still doesn't change who I would have voted for. I would have still voted for Jameka to go. And as far as I'm concerned, I'm actually much happier. Jen has a better chance than before! LOL

I apologize for any confusion this has caused you. You can put me up for eviction next!

Jen Is Leaving

On Thursday evening. Seems like there won't be any voting on Thursday night and Jen will be evicted by a vote of 6-0 (said by Dick on the feeds). Perhaps BB took Jameka off the block leaving Jen nominated all by herself??? Because Daniele won't be able to vote as HOH. So that's the only thing I can think of that BB could do if the vote will be 6-0.

I have a feeling Big Brother stepped in the way they did on this because they realized how things were shaking up with Jameka probably being evicted instead of Jen. I guess that's what Jen gets for keeping on eating?

Jen and Dustin will surely have a catty good time together when they're reunited on Friday or Saturday. biggrin.gif

ETA at 2:50 PM - Ahhh. Perhaps the extra vote comes in from Big Brother themselves. But that wouldn't change anything really because there are still enough votes for Jameka to be evicted. Dick, Eric, Jessica, and Zach would vote to evict Jameka. Amber and Big Brother would vote to evict Jen. Hmmmm. So why are they (the hamsters) so sure that Jen will definitely be leaving and Jameka's satisfied now that she'll be staying???

ETA at 3:24 PM - As David so kindly pointed out in the comments, the above scenario was assuming that America would be voting for Jameka to leave. It completely slipped my mind that Eric would be voting for America. I'm confusing myself. LMAO

ETA at 3:38 PM - Let's run another scenario. If America votes for Eric to evict Jen then the votes to evict Jameka would be: Dick, Jessica, and Zach. The votes to evict Jen would be: Amber, Big Brother, and Eric. That would create a tie which Daniele, being the HOH, would have to break. That could be pretty damned interesting. Of course, this is all assuming that Big Brother is now the 6th vote and won't change their mind to evict Jameka. Teehee Just kidding.

Dick or Jen? Jameka?

My oh my! What a crazy freaking night in the Big Brother house it was last night. Daniele and Amber left for their trip at around 7:30 PM and then a little over an hour later, all hell starts breaking loose.

If you read my previous post (and its comments), you know what went down last night already. Let's watch some clips on how things went down shall we?

All you need to do is go to one place. And that place would be bl3ahbl3ah's page on YouTube. That person has all of the videos (18 parts) up in glorious detail. Just go down and start with 'Tracking Jen's Breakdown Part 1'.

So if you missed it all last night you should definitely go watch. If you did see it all (like myself), I highly recommend you watch it all over again and pick up on things you might have missed the first time around.

With that said, this is a bitch of a situation for Jameka. Now that the penalty nomination has finally been used in Big Brother, the others are now planning to keep Jen around for another week since she can't compete in the HOH or POV competitions and the POV can't be used to save her. I can't really blame Jameka for being pissed at the entire situation.

Many say that Dick should have had a penalty nomination himself when he poured the tea on Jen. I tend to agree with that. And I agree with Big Brother giving Jen a penalty nomination over last night. BTW, for all who think Dick burned Jen last night that isn't the case. Jen burned herself on Dick's cigarette by swatting at it. Anywhoooo.

What are your thoughts on what happened last night? What are the things you picked up on while watchin the videos of last night? How do you think Amber and Dani would have reacted had they been there for the fireworks last night? What do you think about Jameka's situation? If you were in that house, would you keep Jen around another week and get rid of Jameka or would you vote to evict Jen this week?

Tons of questions and hopefully there will be tons of answers! Throw 'em at me!

ETA at 9:22 AM - Dick's up and smoking in the backyard. I thought it was funny when a few minutes ago he requested a couple of specific songs that BB play for the morning wakeup: Buckcherry's 'Crazy Bitch' and Tom Petty's 'Breakdown'. I must say, those would be some funny choices.

For those of you who would rather just watch the basics of what happened last night, here are a couple of vids that sum things up fairly nicely.

My Dear Jen

All of a sudden Jen started throwing her stuff in garbage bags and hiding them around the house. I was like, "What in the hell is she doing?"

That question was quickly answered when I saw her take Dick's cigarettes into the storage room and jump on them, tear them apart, dumped them in the trash can, and then poured bleach on them. All while she was being called to the diary room!

And all while they (the others minus Dani and Amber who have already left for their trip) are in the backyard trashing her. Eric mentioned something about Jen's greatest moments in the house (and not in a good way).

If only they knew what was going on while they were talking about her greatest moments.

It's gonna be hell in that house when Dick finds out what Jen has done.

laughing.gif

ETA at 8:48 PM - Dick just went to check on his cig stash and found that they are missing. He's behaving fairly cool about things even though you can tell he's pissed. He's saying Big Brother had better remedy the situation shortly. LOL

ETA at 8:51 PM - BB told Dick that hiding belongings is OK but that destroying is not.

ETA at 8:53 PM - Dick just found some of Jen's belongings in the Big Room and is hiding them up in the HOH room.

ETA at 8:58 PM - Jen comes out of the DR and her and Dick go at it. You could tell Jen was crying in the DR and Dick tells her that he has all of her clothes now. Says as long as he doesn't destroy them it's fine.

ETA at 9:02 PM - I get a nasty email from somebody because I asked them not to type in all caps after they'd done it for a third time. Oh wait. This is about Dick and Jen.

ETA at 9:04 PM - Dick grabbing a pack of cigs that were hidden in the HOH room.

ETA at 9:06 PM - Dick's cigarettes have already been replaced by Big Brother. Jen goes into the DR saying, "That's fucked up Big Brother...."

ETA at 9:09 PM - Jen has decided to eat regular food now and is stuffing her face in the backyard. She's telling the others how BB said she could tear up cigarettes before coming onto the show so that's why she tore them up and poured bleach on them. She's still eating regular food and talking in the BY.

ETA at 9:11 PM - Meanwhile, Dick has been packing up all of his stuff out of the round room into trash bags to carry up to the HOH (I'm assuming).

ETA at 9:13 PM - Indeed, he is carrying his belongings up to the HOH room. Meanwhile, Jen is trying to act somewhat normal while talking to the others in the backyard. I was a fan of Jen's until this. In my opinion, Big Brother should kick Jen out for destroying another person's property and for purposefully breaking her slop restriction.

ETA at 9:15 PM - Dick comes out into the backyard after stashing his stuff in the HOH room. He lights a cigarette. Jen doesn't like it and confronts him. I didn't catch if she pushed him or not. Dick tells her not to fucking touch him. She said something about him blowing smoke in her face. Feeds went to trivia. Showtime went to control room.

ETA at 9:20 PM - Feeds are still on trivia but they came back on for a second to Jen grabbing tissue to wipe her eyes in the bathroom. Feeds went back to trivia. Showtime right now is showing Jen and Dick arguing in the backyard.

ETA at 9:24 PM - Dick and Jen arguing on the feeds. Jen still eating regular food (an apple and some cottage cheese). Jen telling Dick if only he knew her outside of the house. Jameka just sitting and watching. Erica, Jessica, and Zach in the hot tub trying to distance themselves.

ETA at 9:32 PM - Jen still talking to folks in the backyard. Dick has gone up to the HOH to listen to Daniele's HOH music. Now Jameka and Jen sitting outside and not talking. Jessica and Eric in hot tub. I'm going to go lay down and fall asleep to Showtime. What a lovely evening! :)

But seriously Big Brother, Jen needs to be kicked out. Now.

ETA at 9:57 PM - Jen just came out of the DR to tell everybody in the backyard that just in case she were to stay she has an automatic penalty nomination for the next week so she's going to eat whatever she wants this week. Dick's going off on her now because of how she said it especially saying it in front of Jameka since Jameka's on slop. Jen again says she's just misunderstood. LOL

ETA at 10:00 PM - Zach just says to Dick in the kitchen concerning Jen's penalty nomination for next week (if she stays), "Well that could change things."

Pity Party of One

I really dislike Daniele more and more each and every single day. Besides being a vapid young woman, she's also a whiny brat. While I realize some of the reason for her behavior is simply her age (I remember being 21) she's going to need to realize soon that her pity party of one isn't going to get her any further in life.

Why am I bringing this up today? Well it's because she had her 22nd (really 21st) birthday part last night and sulked through almost all of it. I thought her birthday party was nicer than Jameka's. Both received wonderful letters from loved ones. Daniele got overpriced cupcakes (it's exactly what she asked for) while Jameka got a mostly melted ice cream cake. Daniele received lots of homemade cookies from a friend and Jameka received a special hair dryer for her hair.

Oh that's right. It had nothing to do with her cupcakes, cookies, or letters. It had to do with Kris. She got nothing from Kris. First there were no letters of him in her HOH room and now this. Seriously though. What does she expect?

And while it's not Daniele's fault, if Kris is following things online I can only imagine how he feels when he's seeing Nick pop up all over the place still talking about Daniele. I wonder if Janelle has asked Kris to be in on one of her inane chats instead of Nick. I kinda doubt it.

What did you think of Daniele's behavior during and after her party last night? What do you think of Daniele's behavior in the house in general? If you were Kris, how would you feel about things? And what do you think of Eric giving Jess his woobie? tongue.gif

ETA at 11:40 AM - POV ceremony just finished and Daniele did indeed use the POV. Jen is now on the block.

Toga! Toga! Toga!

Tonight's show was mediocre all considering. There just haven't been any fireworks or scheming going on in the house lately so they didn't have any of that kind of drama to focus on.

One of the funniest segments tonight was the one where Amber didn't know what certain words mean. Words such as: charismatic, ridicule, superficial, integrity, backdoor, outed, sub-alliance, perceived, implication, and peanut gallery. I thought it was funny when Dick said in the DR that he'd be surprised if Amber's vocabulary was higher than her 8-year-old's. The funniest part was when Amber asked Jameka what 'peanut gallery' means and Jameka said she didn't know if it was the fact that he (whoever he is) eats peanuts, and Amber went oooh. CBS inserted a laughing track right after that. It was hilarious!!!

The beer pong segment served its purpose in two ways. It allowed us to see how good Eric looks in women's clothing (Jen's booty shorts and Jess' black and white checked dress) and set us up for the food competition called Slop Pong where they were all dressed in togas. Of we course we know that the red team won and the blue team lost so that meant Amber and Jameka would be on slop for the week along with Jen who still has two weeks of slop from her wager in that POV competition awhile back. But, both teams landed their giant ping pong ball (volleyball) in the center 'feast' cup (barrell) so everybody won a night of eating - including Jen.

After the food competition, they came in to the smaller table in the kitchen so there was that little bit on the show. Then there was a cute Jessica and Eric segment where Jess busted herself to Dick about Julie Chen asking her about her feelings towards Eric on Thursday's show. Then we got to see Eric get his assignment from America and America voted for Eric to get Amber nominated. CBS showed us Eric up in the HOH room with Daniele and Dick talking about putting Amber up on the block if it was only as a pawn.

And then, we got to see Eric's next America's Player assignment. "Eric is working for you America and it's time to tell him what to do. America's Player is going to share a special moment with another houseguest. To whom should Eric give this childhood woobie?" OMG! Hehehehe. His 'woobie' is a stuffed dog. Hehehehehe. You can vote by clicking on this link. I am definitely voting all 10 times for it to be Jessica!!!

The show ended with the nomination ceremony of course where Amber and Jameka were nominated. Daniele's speech to them saying that they were both liked by everybody in the house and how she thought she wouldn't win if she was up against one of them in the final two was a good one I thought. And then we got final clips from the DR after nominations. God told Amber she's going to win the POV by the way.

So what did y'all think of the show overall tonight? What did you think of Amber's 'word' segment? Who are you going to vote for Eric to give his woobie to? Did you have some sort of woobie growing up? LMAO

The Competition Princess

I'm still trying to sort out the details of the competition (will be updating this post with corrections as necessary) but here are the important parts -

* Daniele, Jameka, Amber, Dick, Zach, and Jessica competed in the comp and Eric was the host
* There were checkered flags (as in auto racing) in the backyard as part of the setup
* Seems to have revolved around questions asked in polls on the CBS site
* 1st and 2nd place finishers won a trip to somewhere outside the house together tonight or tomorrow(?)
* Daniele won the POV and Amber came in 2nd place
* Daniele told Dick she's not using the POV to backdoor Jen but Dick didn't like that idea(?)

People generally seem upbeat in the house. Well all except Amber who's currently sulking/half-crying on her bed talking to Jameka.

Daniele is really performing well in competitions this season. You gotta give it to the girl. wink.gif

Whameka On The Block

Whamber and Jameka have been nominated for eviction. Yeah, I know. Big shocker right? Well maybe not to us but probably to them. Jameka's been sulking since the feeds came on and Amber's hardly been seen. Sorry I didn't post the nominations earlier but I couldn't post the probable without hearing the definite. Or is that the definite without the probable. Or is it...never mind. You know what I mean.

I don't know how many of you watched today's House Calls with Dustin but it was a pretty good show today. Dustin was fairly composed and even though he seemed humble at times it was obvious he's still coming down from the experience of being in the house. He mentioned several times the bold movies he made in the house. Wha? What I did find really interesting was comparing today's House Calls to the interview with him that is up over at The Slug.

Why do I say that? Towards the end of the HC today, Gretchen asked him to describe each houseguest with one word. Some of Dustin's answers today compared to his thoughts on the houseguests on 'The Slug' are pretty damned funny. I'm not a Daniele fan and I'm not going to apologize for it but even the Dani fans probably find Dustin's comments concerning Daniele on 'The Slug' hilarious. I guess you'll have to go read it to see what I mean. But ya know? I think it's pretty spot on.

Besides the nomination ceremony, they also had the food competition this afternoon. It seems as though it was a team competition and involved something similar to the beer pong game they've been playing in the house lately. From what I've gathered, the only people on slop this week are Amber and Jameka (the losing team today?) and Jen (she still has two weeks left of slop).

Did you notice the smaller table in the house today? I guess it was time. But you know what? Every single season when they do this I find it a little sad. I can't help it. It makes me happy though too. It makes things more real for the hamsters and other than memory wall photos of the evicted hamsters turning dark and them having more space in the house in general, it serves as yet another visual reminder that the game is turning a corner.

Jen takes 40 second poops. Just thought you should know. The male readers of Silly Hamsters should find that especially interesting.

So what do you think of the nominations? Who do you want to win, or NOT win, the Power of Veto tomorrow? What do you think of Dustin's exit interviews? Do you regularly accomplish your missions in under 40 a ummm never mind on that one. Do you think the backdooring Jen plan will work? Do you even want it to work? Do you dislike the way Amber applies mascara and curls her eyelashes as much as I do? I need answers to all (or almost all) of these questions ASAP!

Daniele's Second Reign

So Daniele is the new Head of Household. You just know Jen will be hating it for a long time that she got that first question wrong in the HOH competition. And Dick is still so happy that he's just beside himself. I thought Amber did amazingly well last night and didn't cry nearly as much as I expected her to. Jameka did know for a fact that Dustin was going to be evicted ahead of time because Jessica told her before the show started.

I know I do not want any evicted hamster to come back in - especially Nick. I know I loved Jameka's fortune she received last night in their Chinese food: "You will soon be crossing warm waters for a vacation."

I know I can't wait to watch House Calls today because I want to see if any of the shock has worn off of Dustin yet. I know I threw up in my mouth a little bit when I saw that the letter Dani received was from Nick.

Nick, you seem to be a great guy but come on dude. You are off the show. Let it rest.

Who do you think Daniele's nominations are going to be? I'm hoping it will be Jameka and Amber. BTW, it seems that America wants Eric to get Amber nominated. biggrin.gif

And what are your thoughts on things in the house right now?

Liveblogging - Thursday, August 16th, 2007

-:35 - Gettin' things started for tonight's liveblogging. Just finished having a nice laugh at this clip from Season 3. Ahhhh, the memories. And don't be afraid to jump into the chat room over there and talk with other crazy BB fans. It's gonna be a great show tonight folks. I'm ready!

:00 - Previously on Big Brother 8....

:03 - Julie looks absolutely smashing as usual in an off the shoulder top and taupe pants. Evel Dick unleashed his fury on the house to make himself a bigger target and then used the POV on his daughter to save her. Dustin is confident that he safe and wants to rub it in Dick's face. In just a few minutes, the houseguests vote live. But first...

:04 - Footage of POV ceremony and Dick not using the POV. Jessica replaces Daniele with Dustin. Dick laughed. Ceremony is adjourned.

:05 - Dick in DR says he's thrilled to be up on the block against Dustin and thinks he (Dick) is probably going home. Dustin in DR says it's a shame that Daniele was taken off the block because he wanted to see Dick lose it (faking Dick crying about losing his daughter again). Daniele says in DR that it means more than probably would ever know.

:06 - Dustin and Jess hug in HOH room. Dustin says he knew it was going to come down to this and worst case scenario will come down to a 3-3 vote and Jess says she'd vote for Dick to go. Dustin in DR says that "bitch got nothing" concerning Daniele. Jessica in DR says that Dick is high on her radar now. Jess thanks Dustin in HOH for volunteering.

:07 - Eric talking to Jess in HOH wanting to apologize for what happened that morning (when he wasn't talking to her). He says he was profusely sweating and sick. Jess in DR says that she really wanted Eric's opinion for the POV ceremony but he was so sick she wasn't able to talk to him and that her and Eric have buried the hatchet and she trusts him 100%. Jess tells Eric in HOH that she's not mad at him anymore.

:08 - Zach's having a date with Jessica in the backyard. Zach in DR says it's to discuss possible strategy. They're talking about the voting concerning Dick or Dustin. Jess says she'll listen to everybody. Zach says it could be a good diversion to keep Dick in the game. Zach gives Jessica her word to v
