Little Old Lady From Pasadena
I'm about to fall asleep watching the hamsters sleep while Big Brother is preparing the inside of the house for the upcoming POV competition so to wake myself up a little I decided I should start typing!
Shamrock and Summer's comments on my previous post (Deja Vu) gave me an idea. I too think that Big Brother isn't using Eric to his fullest potential and would absolutely love it if they gave him more than just one quirky task each week!
Wouldn't it be fun if he had to change the time on the microwave and also had to make sure that it stayed wrong? Switched out somebody's hair conditioner and replaced it with hand moisturizer? Took all of the cushions off of the lounges in the back yard and stuffed them in Jen's dresser drawers? Had to pretend to be asleep and then start snoring so loudly that it would wake everybody up? These little things could be hysterical!
So, my fellow Big Brother addicts, what are some fun tasks that you would like to see CBS ask Eric to perform? I'm sure y'all have some great ideas!
Oh BTW, those who were watching the feeds earlier today know why I named this post what I did. ![]()

Would love to see Eric get rid of those awful grey sweats of Ambers. Tired of seeing butte crack! She'd be in tears for longer than usual I fear though...

All the things you mentioned are plain silly to me....i would not even think any of those things are funny. I like having a say in who to evict, none of silly crap.

I think Eric should try and instigate more arguments between E.D. and Amber.
I love those.
And eventually those arguments will destroy the New Nerd Herd from the inside.

1. Pour a BUNCH of laundry detergent in the empty washing machine so that the next person who uses it has a Bobby Brady moment!
2. Draw mustaches on the pictures in the HOH room.
3. "Confess" to Dustin that he's closeted gay.
4. Hide every single razor in the house so no one can shave.
5. Circle passages in Amber's bible that suggest she shouldn't cry.
6. Wet the cushions the nominees for eviction have to sit on right before the live show on Thursday.
7. Using the food packages, cut out letters from packages and leave "notes" for the rest of the guests such as "Kail is rich" or "Daniele is 20 years old."
8. Put vaseline on treadmill.
9. Convince houseguests not to talk for an entire 3 hours during one Showtime episode.
10. Let Eric read this website and thread as well as you tube when in the Diary room. Why shouldn't he have "outside" information if he is America's player?

Question?? Is Eric under contract or obligated in anyway to do what America wants? I mean should a task put his own game in harms way, does he have to do it?? Appreciate any answers...

Connie-
The way that it sounds to me is that Eric could technically choose to accept the task. He gets rewarded financially for every 5 completed. So if he chooses not to evict a certain houseguest because he might be on the opposite of the majority, he could decline. Then, he would just have one more task to make up. They weren't really too in depth with their description, so I think he has some leeway.
From HD - Eric has no choice in who to evict. He has to vote to evict who we tell him to. Rewatch the last couple of Thursday shows. When he goes in to cast his vote, he shoots the bull with JC instead of voting.

Dick had another blow up with Jen outside, with all the houseguests present. Apparently, Dick thinks Jen did something to cause Jameka (?) or possibly Amber to lose $5000 in the POV comp.
Everyone got quiet. Dick said, (paraphrase) "Everyone here agrees with me, but no one else will speak up." Kail said, "I don't agree," which caused Dick to tell her that her opinion is meaningless.
Kail and Jen were alone, and Kail said, "It's only $5000." To which Jen said, "Yeah, but that means something to her (Jameka((?))." That exchange showed the shallowness of Kail, and her "richness" was on display. The LNC speculates on that from time to time, and Kail basically confirmed it. Will Jen use that info?
Amber and Dick talked in the hammock, and Amber agreed with Dick bashing Jen on the POV.
I couldn't hear the whole conversation, but my wife relayed that Dustin took some of the prizes in the POV comp. Why? Not sure if that was a prize grab by him, or if he was doing it within the scheme of trying to influence the POV.
I think Jameka won POV. Still not sure. If so, she said she would use it if Jen desired (based on her whole God concept of preordained destiny). Jameka's "game" took a big step back, IMO, with that whole reasoning. Somehow, I doubt God is a Neilsen rater or cares who wins BB8.
Will Dustin really shake up the house with a backdoor? Something outrageous, like putting a LNC member (Dick?) on the block. Pure speculation on my part, but it would spin this game into a completely different orbit.
I was real happy when Dustin won HoH. I thought he was one of three players with an overall good game (Dustin, Eric, Dick). Now, my view has changed on him. He spent hours telling different people to separate their strategic game from their emotional (personal) game, yet he pushes for Zach to be evicted this week (on a backdoor) solely because of Zach's early game comment regarding gays. Dustin's closeness with Amber will be his downfall, and he's caught Amber at least 3 times saying that she told Nick some inside info. Dustin would have ostracized anyone else for the same blunders. King Dustin, in crown and HoH robe, is telling insight into the power that seems to have gone to his head this week.
One last thing on my long rant (sorry) .... Dustin and Dick almost had a major blowup in the LNC meeting last night, but Erick intervened to calm the waters. Dick was just trying to make the point on how the mock voting had gone the night before with a Kail vs. Zach matchup after POV, and Dustin's hate for Zach were in full flourish - using that venom by chastising Dick for his wording. Yes, Dick - as always - wasn't very tactful, but Dustin showed major weakness in his game with that outburst and power play.

Connie, he's not obligated to do anything other than vote out who America wants him to vote out. All other tasks, he wins 10k IF he completes them successfully. :-)

Oh, Colleen, you had me cracking up!!! :) Especially with #3, #5, and #6. Most especially, with #5!! Oh, please let it happen, lol!! :D
My own:
Adding a "not allowed" ingredient to the slop mix, or to some already prepared slop, and watching the slop eaters freak out, thinking they might get a penaly nom for eating restricted food when they are not supposed to. I wouldn't want them to really get a penalty nom, but it would be great fun watching them worrying about it, hehe! ;)

Thanks for the info all...

It would be fun...but if too many pranks are pulled wouldn't it put him in jeopardy of being found out and taking the chance of protest from stuffy HG's to BB?

JC -
Thanks for all the background info - I have the feeds but haven't been watching today. For HTML tags, use the "" instead of brackets.
And I'm with you on Jameka's pre-ordained "game play." Dumb. Shouldn't she abstain from all competitions? Whatever will be, will be?
Posted by: Coleen at July 28, 2007 08:12 PM
I would like to see Eric last at least to the final four. But it seems some of us don't care how much risk we put him at with some of the suggestions for pranks. BTW who is he supposed to pretend to romance? Is it Jessica or Amber? Be careful about playing with someone's emotions. Thanks as usual for the insights.

Replace salt in shakers with sugar?

Colleen - I'm tempted to start checking a bible to see if there are any passages for Amber - LOL
I agree that there are a lot of things that Eric could be doing that would be much more amusing.
Food items - take the last of something that people like. Beer, wine, chocolate.... and make someone else look guilty.
leave a shower stall a complete mess - and point the blame at someone.
sneak HG 1's belonging into HG 2's bags and make sure it gets found.
start a silly rumour. "Jameka told me that Amber told her that Dustin wasn't potty trained until he was 7!" Or "Zach is afraid of jello - the wiggling freaks him out" Not something that will get them backdoored or traumatized in the real world.
Switch items around - we choose 1 HG and Eric has to keep moving items that belong to them.

JC - The characters I inserted in brackets never appeared - probably because they are the HTML tags! In any event - I call them the "less than" and "greater than" symbols. They are above the period and comma. Use those instead of brackets for formatting.

Did Dick steal the kings robe from Dustin, hid the olives or is Dustin setting him up to take the light off Eric and himself?
From HD - Dick did indeed take Dustin's Jack-in-the-Box robe and I think the olives too but I'm not sure on that one.
