Clip It Bitches!

Tonight's show was interesting. It was definitely better than Sunday's show that's for sure. But CBS, if you're listening, could you please stop spending so much time on recaps? Kthanks.

Tonight's show definitely definitely favored one player - the organ player. I don't think I could have laughed any harder than I did when I heard that organ music pipe up after it was decided that Jameka would be playing for Jen. God already knows what's going to happen in Big Brother. Her faith leads her. Her name was chosen for a reason. The outcome has already been pre-determined by God. 17 hours until POV competition!

We already know the players in the POV competition but since BB has to recap so often, let me recap once. Dustin, Jen, Kail, Daniele, Jameka, and Jessica are playing the POV and Eric was the host. The players were given black outfits and black berets to wear in the Big Brother art gallery POV competition. Each objet d'art represented a popular Big Brother slogan and they had to guess what the slogan was to win BB bucks (that would be available to be spent at two different parts of the competition).

Each competitor started with 1000 BB bucks and Dani began the competition with a bang getting the first two correct until she was knocked out in the 4th round by guessing incorrectly. After the 4th round, the remaining contestants (all but Dani) were able to spend 750 of the BB bucks for a trip for two to Barbados. Dustin snatched it right up causing raised eyebrows throughout the room (which contained everybody in the house).

Back to the game. Kail is wrong and is out. This continues until the 8th round where upon completion, they are presented with the opportunity to purchase $5000 cash with 1500 BB bucks (only Dustin and Jameka have enough to go for it). Seemed to be some thinking about it (editing can make it seem like forever) before Dustin snatched that up as well. That leaves Dustin with 1250 BB bucks, Jessica with 1000 BB bucks, Jen with 1000 BB bucks, and Jameka with 2000 BB bucks.

9th and final round is worth 2000 BB bucks and will determine the winner. Jen guesses incorrectly and the winner is Jameka who has the most BB bucks. Jameka is well aware that Jen threw the competition. The LNC gets pissed at Dustin for grabbing the prizes and Dustin (in DR) says he was selfish and got caught up in the moment. BTW, the answers to all 9 rounds were: Head of Household, memory wall, diary room, power of veto, nominee, alliance, Julie Chen, and power is up for grabs.

Cue the organ music. Hmeeka is talking with a wheeping Whamber in the BY after the POV competition about how God has things already planned for them. Here comes her "God is so gangsta" comment. Fast forward. Dick & Jen arguing in the BY by the hot tub. Dick yells at Jen about how she put all of the pressure on Jameka. Jen says her guess was stupid.

And then I (and others that I was chatting with at the time) had this weird cut to commercial. One second Dick was arguing with Jen and the next I was seeing a commercial for chicken wings. Perhaps God was telling me I needed sustenance. I think that's the way Hmeeka would have taken it anyway.

We're back now. Jen's happy about Jameka winning POV. Blah blah blah blah. Jameka knows Jen threw it. Blah blah blah blah. LNC meeting about who to put up in Jen's place. Blah blah blah blah. We know how this ends. Blah blah blah blah. POV ceremony starting. Of course Hmeeka uses it on Jen. Blah blah blah blah. Dustin nominates Nick. Nick looks shocked.

Next America's Player question for Eric is no surprise. Who do we want Eric to get evicted from the Big Brother house - Kail or Nick? You know the drill by know. Vote here!

Now I shall leave you with one of the best closing quotes from Big Brother in a long time. The following was said by Dustin in the Diary Room, "Clip it bitches! It's a game. Don't get too attached."

laughing.gif

What did y'all think of tonight's show? What'd you think about the POV competition now that we've seen it? Do you think the organ music was a good choice? Would you do that for a dollar? Tell me!

Attitudes & Personalities

A lot of people are up in arms over Dick's behavior towards Jen last night. I definitely agree with those of you who think that dumping the tea on Jen's head was too much. Do I think he should have been kicked out for it? Absolutely not. For once, I would have liked to have seen the penalty nomination utilized. Let's see three people up on the block. Can you imagine how the votes would go? It would make for a delicious show that's for sure!

There are many people (not just here but everywhere) throwing the word 'abuse' around this season when it comes to Dick. I don't feel Dick's behavior is abusive - physically, verbally, or emotionally. Do I think Dick is being a bully? Yep! Is his behavior helping him in the game? Maybe. Maybe not. But his behavior (except the tea incident I talked about earlier) in the house is perfectly acceptable.

This is a game. It's a game for half a million dollars. Bullying, lying, back-stabbing, deceiving, conniving, trash talk, cursing, name-calling, manipulating, scheming, selfishness - it's all perfectly fine in the house. Laughing, playing, Bible-thumping, accommodating, flying under the radar, acting silly, hugging, crying - it's all perfectly fine in the house as well. Each of the hamsters can do any of these things in addition to hundreds of other things to use in the game to try to win.

Does anybody really want a house full of nice, smiling, but boring people? I can't understand that most would want to see that. The Big Brother house would be empty then because the show would be cancelled.

We want and sometimes even like big personalities in the house. Chicken George, Josh, Eddie, Will, Monica, Bunky, Kent, Nicole, Hardy, Amy, Marcellas, Chiara, Roddy, Gerry, Alison, Jee, Robert, Dana, David, Jun, Holly, Marvin, Cowboy, Scott, Jase, Karen, April, Ivette, Janelle, Beau, Howie, Eric, Kaysar, Dick, Jen, Daniele, Eric, Amber, Dustin. These are all people who made the show or are making the show.

Remember how dreadful Will would be towards Nicole? Chiara's outrageous sex stories? Roddy's weird mind control over Amy? Amy and Marcellas' bashing sessions? Amy and Marcellas' awful fights with each other? Kent's blatant prejudice towards Bunky? Robert's horrible talk of Erica? And who could forget the namecalling when it concerned Cowboy, Nakomis, Gerry, Jun, April, and Kaysar? The 'almost fight' between Michael and Eric? Janelle's shoving match with Beau? David and Amanda having sex in the HOH room? Lisa not letting Eric (S3) back in the house? Marcellas' last minute exit in S3? Howie going busto on April? Holly and Jase's showmance?

All of this is part of Big Brother. Some of the behavior was outright mean and horrible but, it is what it is. And it is what it was.

I'd like to get your thoughts on things concerning the environment in the house. Post some of the things in previous seasons that have shocked you or amused you. Every season had its high points and low points. What were some of those? Have any YouTubes to share with others of those moments? I'd really appreciate it the most if long-time Big Brother watchers chimed in on this post especially and let us know how you see things this season compared to past.

Dustin The Nick Of Time

Whew. I almost missed all the fireworks!

Nick is shocked. Whamber is crying. Dick is yelling. Jen is smiling. Eric is laughing. Jess is cute.

It's going to be a long night. tongue.gif

*cues music*
It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood
A beautiful day for a neighbor...

ETA at 5:25 - Finally, mohawk time for Nick! He's taking being on the block fairly well everything considering. tongue.gif

nick_mohawked2.JPG

ETA at 9:20 PM - And the house is breaking down. Dick's arguing with Jen. Jen brings up Daniele in an argument. Daniele and Jen begin arguing. Now Dani's crying to her Dad in the BY. Oh, and Dick poured tea over Jen's head.

Booyakah!

I thought the show was kinda lame tonight - hope it wasn't just me.

The Dick and Daniele story is getting old and I'm getting tired of it being brought up show after show after show. That footage they showed of Dick and Daniele on her bed is soooo olllldddd. That happened on Monday the 23rd fer crying out loud. You can read my post on it here.

The Dick & Amber fight over her dog versus her daughter? Meh. Daniele getting squirted by the faucet in the kitchen that her dad rigged up? Funny. The Zach segment? Uncomfortable. The Jen & Dick boob job convo? Funny (especially after watching her lay out this morning). Noms? Since we knew them already that was kinda blah. I did giggle a little bit though when Dustin told Kail that the reason he nominated her was because she'd "exhibited questionable behavior in the past week".

The best part of tonight's show was the Food Competition. I thought they looked funny in their costumes and I found it even funnier that Kail and Dick had to work together. Jessica & Jameka were cute when they psyched Eric out and made him think they were going to put him on slop for the week.

On to more important things. Which catch phrase should Eric start in the Big Brother House?
1. Sweet chicken!
2. Booyakah!
3. I'd do that for a dollar!

Obviously, I'm more of a fan of the #2 choice. Don't forget, you can vote a max of 10 times and you have until midnight PT to vote. So go vote now if you haven't already.

Which one are you voting for? Did y'all catch the LNC meeting last night where they've decided that Nick is going up in Jen's place so that Nick will be voted out? What do you think about that? Do you think Jen's boobs are real? biggrin.gif

Jen_sunbathing3.JPG

ETA at 5:16 AM 7/30 - It seems America chose 'I'd do that for a dollar'. According to Joker's Updates, Eric came out of the DR at 1:41 AM and then five minutes later used that phrase. Jessica even used it a couple of times. Should be interesting to see how many of the other hamsters he can get to say it.

Honk If You Love Jameka

Another POV competition down and more prizes being awarded. What's up with that? Wait. I suppose I should first tell you that Jameka won POV or perhaps you could have guessed that from this post title.

Today's POV players were Dustin, Jen, Kail, Jameka, Jess, and Daniele. The competition involved solving rebuses that were displayed on a screen in the BB house. Some of the ones I've heard them say were: alliance, nominee, and Julie Chen. I'm still not quite sure how the prizes came in to play but Dustin won $5,000 and a trip for two to Barbados. The competition came down to Jen and Jameka. Jen threw it (she says she didn't) allowing Jameka to win the POV. The thing is that Jameka told Jen last night that since she was playing for Jen she would try to win it for her and would take Jen off the block if she won it. Yup.

When the feeds came back on this afternoon, Dick was going off on Jen and Amber was upset. They were pissed because Jen put Jameka in the position of forcing Jameka to use the POV on her instead of Jen winning it and using it on herself. Now if I was Jen, I probably would have done the same thing. Jen knows she's a safer bet to stay over Kail at this point. Jameka messed up in promising to use the POV on Jen if she won it and Jameka realized that later when talking preaching to a weeping Whamber later. After they were finally let back in the house, Jen approached Jameka and told Jameka that she really didn't know the answer and that she knows Jameka's in a tough spot. Mind you, she didn't empathize enough to tell Jameka she didn't have to use it on her. LOL

But back to the prize thing. What's up with the prizes this season? And so early in the season? I remember when the only prize in the POV competition was the Power of Veto. Meh....whatever. Time for a few random things now.

Dustin admitted to Eric after the POV competition that Kail was up as a pawn because she offered herself to be put up. Prior to this, the 'pawn' thing was only known by Dustin and Kail. I wonder who Eric will offer this info to and how soon it will be? I can't imagine them not taking taking advantage of Kail's throwing herself on the sword.

Whamber told Dustin that she wants to be on America's Next Top Model. Yes. You read that right. Now clean off your monitor.

I've finally figured out who the slop people are. This week they are: Nick, Dick, Jen, Kail, and Zach. Don't know why it took me so long to figure it out.

I'm sick of the way they treat Zach in the house. It gets on my nerves.

I am soooooo sick of Kail. I want her gone.

It's amazing that Whamber isn't dead from dehydration. How in the world she made it onto this show is beyond my comprehension. I am soooo awaiting the day she is on the block. OMG

"God is so gangsta." - said by Jameka to Amber in the BY earlier this afternoon

Little Old Lady From Pasadena

I'm about to fall asleep watching the hamsters sleep while Big Brother is preparing the inside of the house for the upcoming POV competition so to wake myself up a little I decided I should start typing!

Shamrock and Summer's comments on my previous post (Deja Vu) gave me an idea. I too think that Big Brother isn't using Eric to his fullest potential and would absolutely love it if they gave him more than just one quirky task each week!

Wouldn't it be fun if he had to change the time on the microwave and also had to make sure that it stayed wrong? Switched out somebody's hair conditioner and replaced it with hand moisturizer? Took all of the cushions off of the lounges in the back yard and stuffed them in Jen's dresser drawers? Had to pretend to be asleep and then start snoring so loudly that it would wake everybody up? These little things could be hysterical!

So, my fellow Big Brother addicts, what are some fun tasks that you would like to see CBS ask Eric to perform? I'm sure y'all have some great ideas!

Oh BTW, those who were watching the feeds earlier today know why I named this post what I did. wink.gif

Deja Vu

Are these noms getting boring to anybody else or is it just me? Dustin nominated Kail and Jen for eviction this week with the intent to backdoor Zach. I'm sorry but this is weak sauce. Recycling old nominees back to back? Hoping to backdoor Zach? Why backdoor him?

If Zach is so unliked in the house, why even bother. FWIW, I find that Zach may be lacking in some social skills when it comes to the female gender but I certainly don't understand why they're all over his crack when he isn't around. Personally, I think there are much bigger targets than Zach and I think they're (Dustin and his semi-alliance) making a mistake in this here plan.

I believe backdooring is excellent when it can be executed properly. This is not that time though. And Zach isn't even the one to use it on. Pffft. Dustin should be worried more right now about Nick, Dick, and Daniele than Zach, Kail, or even Jen. He's taking the easy way out with these noms and I don't like it. B-O-R-I-N-G

I appreciate ballsy players more than I appreciate wannabes. Personally, I would have loved it if he had shaken things up a bit and put up Dick and Nick. Find out who his Whamber is loyal to. And if Dick or Nick got POV, then you put up Daniele in their place. Either one of those three going home would be better for Dustin (not necessarily for Whamber but she's a whole 'nother novel) than Jen, Kail, or Zach. I think Dustin is going to need Jen, Kail, or Zach later down the line especially when it comes to getting rid of Whamber.

Eric & Jessica are tight. Eric & Dick are tight but Eric doesn't particularly care for Daniele. Dick and Daniele aren't tight but have agreed to stay on the same page. Nick's a cocked revolver ready to go off at any moment. Daniele & Nick? Who knows or cares anymore but don't doubt me for one second when I say that she would definitely use him any moment that she needs to just to stay safe. Nick just doesn't think clearly with his big head. Jessica and Dick are just confusing and bizarre. Jameka throws a kink into things because she is a very strategic player unlike most of the others in the house. Dustin & Amber as a team is just jaw-dropping. But then Amber's jaw-dropping enough by herself so maybe Dustin...never mind. I won't continue that thought. Kail, Jen, and Zach would love nothing more than to align with somebody to get Dick, Nick, or Daniele out so they could do some dealing with Dustin to help him with this.

Either way, I don't think Dustin is going to win. He has a sorry partner (Whamber) and he's not a core member of any group. He'll be cannibalized by whichever group he's sucked in to but at least he could advance further in the game and make more money.

Regardless, I know I'm probably in the minority when I say I don't like the Kail & Jen (with the intent to backdoor Zach) noms this week. Of course, we know how quickly and often things can change in the BB house. I would really love to see Nick, Daniele, or Dick (even though I like him) gone.

To change topics, I'm still not completely sure as to who is on slop and who is not. I'm pretty sure that Jen, Kail, Dick, and Nick are on slop. Eric, Jessica, and Daniele are not on slop. Of course, Dustin is not on slop. Other than that, I have no idea. And these may not even be right. LOL

Liveblogging - Thursday, July 26th, 2007

-:40 - Gettin' ready for show time

:00 - Previously on Big Brother 8....

:02 - Hey there Julie! You look fetching in your coral-colored top and white pants. Dick's week is coming to an end. Out of loyalty to Kail, Mike tried to knock Dick out of the HOH comp so Dick gave Jen the win. But first, this week's veto comp set off a chain reaction in the house causing Dick to rethink his plan.

:03 - Jen uses the POV on herself. Dick puts up Mike. It is what it is. Kail in DR says it's a horrible feeling to be sitting next to Mike on block because he's a friend and a great guy. Mike in DR says he's not going to campaign against Kail. Zach in DR says he'd vote Kail out 150%.

:05 - Dick & Nick in HOH room. Dick says putting them up would break up the alliance. He wants to break the two of them up. Nick & Dick agree on sending Mike home. Dick goes to Jameka and Dustin saying he thinks Mike needs to go next. Jameka in DR feels like she would be one of Mike's targets if he was HOH because they don't really connect.

:06 - Kail & Jen in hammock. Kail asks Jen if she's going home and Jen says nobody's really talking about. Kail says she needs five votes and that her only hope is that maybe others will think now will be time for a strong player to leave. Jen says most others don't think that Mike's a strong player. Mike talking to Jen in kitchen. Jen tells Mike that Kail never even told her after sleeping with her for 19 nights that Kail never even told her about that alliance. Mike in DR says he hopes that everybody sees him as true and trustworthy.

:08 - Jameka, Jessica, and Nick in BY. Nick thinks it would be best if Mike's gone. Nick thinks keeping Kail around would be beneficial just because she's going to be screwed in the head.

:08 - Eric gets his mission as AP. Who should get evicted from the BB house? The answer is Kail. Says he thinks Mike will be leaving on a 9-0 vote but if America wants Kail to go he's going to try to send her packing. Eric starts trying to get Kail gone by talking to Dustin & Amber in kitchen.

:09 - Dustin, Jameka, Dick, Eric in HOH talking about pros and cons of keeping Kail. Eric wants to analyze things in detail and says he doesn't one or the other to happen and is more than happy for either of them to go home (all of this is going home while Dick is farting in the bathroom and spraying freshener). LOL Amber joins HOH room. Eric thinks Kail is a far more aggressive and active player than Mike will ever be. Eric wants to take out the aggressive and active player. Dani comes in HOH room now. Dick catches Dani up. Eric says he knows how Kail can harm them but doesn't know how Mike can. Eric says in Dr that he's trying for us. Dustin back in HOH says he's planning on voting Mike out. Dick brings up Kail's aggressive campaigning and how she could do that to any one of them at any time.

:12 - Nick may have given Daniele the key to heart but before she came in to the house the key to her heart belonged to someone else. Who is the man that Daniele left behind and will he still be there when she returns? Also ahead, the HGs cast their vote to evict live. But first, let's go to the DR.

:13 - Zach says Kail has already played her hand, folded her hand, and is basically packed and ready to go and they might as well open the door for her. Dustin says Mike eats a lot and is a giant and has the personality of a dead fish. Jessica says Mike is very strong but isn't sure how smart he is because he never talks. Amber says Mike's just really hard to read and is a wild card. Jessica says Kail is a strong player because she's smart and competitive and if she stays longer it will be harder to get her out later. Dustin says Mike is a silent but strong and that those types are the silent but deadly types and have to go. Commercial.

:16 - JC welcomes us back and reminds us we're live. Time to go the living room to talk to everybody. She says one of you is incredibly bold this week. They show footage of Zach streaking and everybody's laughing and clapping about it. Zach, what possessed you to do this in front of everybody? He says that there's highs and lows in the game and was feeling a low but needed his high back and feels it worked. Jameka, you've been a little bit quieter. What do you think about your fellow HGs drawing attention to themselves. Says she knows when to hold them and when to fold them. Asks Jen about the mustard on her shirt. Jen says she's decided to stop the investigation until she gets home and has no suspects. Eric, that was quite a wrestling match you had with Jen a while back. How does it feel that you were pinned by a girl on national TV. He says she's buffed up and he's one of the biggest guys in the house but that he's up for a rematch.

:19 - What does Dani's live-in boyfriend have to say about the man that appears to be stealing Daniele's heart? Showing footage of Dani & Nick making googly eyes and talking about her boyfriend.

:20 - Kris says he and Daniele have been together for 2 years. He says their relationship is serious and they've talked about marriage in the past and believes Dani is his soulmate. More footage of Nick and Daniele. Kris says Nick is the typical guy that makes all of them look bad. Wants to think it's all strategy and gameplay. Says Daniele told him straight up before she went into the house that he has to trust her and that it's a game. Dani crying about Kris' upcoming birthday footage. Kris knows that Dani wants to be with him and loves him but that right now she's just confused. He doesn't think Dani will screw up their relationship and that Nick can do whatever he wants to try to do but that he's not worried about it. It's all about trust. Footage of Nick/Dani under the blanket. Kris can't wait for her to come home.

:22 - Dick in HOH talking with Julie. She asks about his relationship with Daniele right now. He says he got his first hug in over two years and that things are going in the right direction. She asks about Nick and his feelings towards Daniele. If he had to decide right now if he could trust Nick right now...he said he would evict him right now if he had the chance. Asks about calling people out. Dick says it's gameplay calling people out so that people don't have to run around and whisper behind people's backs. No he said/she said. He says he got so deep into Kail's head that he needed a miner's light to get in there.

:24 - More about Jen coming up. Back to DR.

:24 - Jen says that Kail is a definite liability to her now and that she can't tell her any info because she doesn't know what's going to get out. Jameka says that it was already established during the veto comp that if you can get a commitment from Mike he'll be on your side to the end. Dani thinks Kail jumped into the game a little bit too fast and didn't think about the decisions she was making and it was sloppy game play. Nick says the only reason he'd want to evict Kail is because the alliance is in shambles and she doesn't know who to trust and that she kinda outed him and thinks he might be a target of her. Jameka thinks Kail could help her in the long run because she feels they have an established rapport. Dani gets the impression that Mike is a lot smarter than people take him for and if they don't get him out now it might be harder down the road.

:28 - JC welcomes us back. Jen is a Beverly Hills nanny outside the house. Footage of Dick/Jen talking in BY about how people think of her. Jen's mom Anita says she was not like this as a child. Double major in Child Development and Architecture but thinks that first impressions are what they are. Kara (friend) thinks that Jen got upset about the picture because it's her livelihood and is used to looking at her pics with a fine-toothed comb. Mom says it did hurt her a little bit when Jen took her pic down and that she may think that sometimes appearances are more important than they need to be. More Dick/Jen footage. Kara talks about a convo that she and Jen had before she left about how Jen needed to play dumb in the game. Footage of Jen being airheaded. Anita says she's a great girl and that she hopes she's around long enough so that we can see that.

:30 - Who will be leaving tonight? Hello houseguests. Mike says that sometimes in life we have to step outside of our comfort zone and risk your own security for what you believe in and says he believes in integrity and honesty and says he had to make some actions in an inconvenient action that sacrificed his security. Hopes that all of them noticed it. (going on and on) Will walk out with dignity. Kail says she really appreciates their friendship and it's meant a lot to her. That each and every one of them will always have a special bond just by being in the house. If she stays, she hopes she can build the bonds.

:33 - Zach votes to evict Kail. Jameka votes to evict Mike. Jen votes to evict (ponders for a moment) Mike. Dustin (wearing silly moustache...lol) votes to evict Mike. Rest vote live when we return. Commercial.

:37 - We're back. Voting continues. 3-1 in favorite of evicting Mike. Eric has to vote to evict Kail. Says he's Casanova of the BB house and that everybody's fair game (in reply to a possible AP question). Amber votes to evict Mike. Nick votes to evict Mike. It's official with 5 votes to evict Mike. Daniele votes to evict Michael. Jessica votes to evict Mike. Back to the LR.

:39 - Time to reveal the votes. By a vote of 7-2, Mike, you are evicted from the BB house. Gets up, doesn't hug anybody. Hands roses out of the topiaries to the girls. Tells everybody good l uck. Finally gets a hug. Walking out. He seems upset at being evicted.

:40 - Mike meets JC. Back to inside the house.

:41 - Dick accuses Jen of being the vote to evict Kail.

:41 - JC with Mike now. Tells Mike that people on the internet that his taunting Dick has been called the stupidest move ever. Says he was playing integrity and honestly. In Zach's video he says he stayed true to his vote to keep him in the house. Kail says he thinks they've both been played and that he's paying for it. Dustin says that he only knows 4 things about him after 3 weeks (he's from Wisconsin, like planes, a model, and eats a lot of meat). Amber says he's a great person and will be a great husband some day. Jen says it took a lot of guts to fight Dick while he was fighting on a pedestal. Dick says that putting yourself out there for anybody else in this game is stupid. Mike on The Early Show tomorrow morning.

:44 - Coming up is the HOH competition. Same stupid question/answer comp. Lame.

:47 - HOH competition called 'Eliminator'. Will be asking a serious of questions about HGs who have already been eliminated. Answers will be Carol, Joe, Mike, or none of the above. Buzz in to answer. If you're correct, you choose to eliminate somebody else. If you're wrong you're eliminated.

:48 - Can't keep up with the fast questions. Down to Jessica, Dustin, Jameka, Eric, Daniele, and Amber. Dustin gets rid of Jessica. Eric gets rid of Amber. Eric gets rid of Daniele. Eric is out. Down to Dustin and Jameka now. Dustin answers correctly and is the new HOH! Dick hands over the key. Everybody congratulating him. Commercial.

:54 - We're back. Time for us to get involved in AP question. Who do we want out of the house. Tell Eric who we want eliminated. Who should Eric get nominated? Vote here!

:55 - Let's rejoin the HGs. Congratulations Dustin! How does it feel and what does he think Joe thinks at home? Dustin says that Joe's prob spitting and screaming at home and that being HOH feels great. Dustin thinks he can be himself more now that Joe is out. Dick says his advice to Dustin is to keep a low profile but have fun. Kail says she caught a huge break and thanks everybody for keeping her here and says she's very blessed. JC tells them bye.

:56 - Who will Dustin nominate for eviction? Find out Sunday at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT. Then Tuesday at 9:00 PM ET/8:00 PM CT will the golden POV save one of the two nominees? Reminds us about the next live eviction a week from now and Showtime BBAD. Let's eavesdrop on the HGs.

:58 - Good night to you too Julie!

Dustin being HOH this week will be very interesting indeed. Nice to see a little bit of a shakeup. Who do you think he'll put up on the block? Do you think them evicting Mike was the smartest thing?

Caption This! #3

Mike.jpg

It looks like Mike may be going home tonight. I'd rather Kail be evicted just because she gets on my nerves but Mike leaving would probably be better strategically for the LNC (Late Night Crew).

Since it's Thursday, I'll be liveblogging tonight. Join me here during the show (8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT) and follow along while all of the drama unfolds. I can't wait to see who the next HOH will be!

While we're waiting for tonight's show though, what do you think Mike is thinking about above?

Fun Time!

It's a lazy day in the house today so let's have a little fun.... tongue.gif

1. Which one of the current hamsters would you want to be stranded on a desert island with?
2. Who would you not want to do 'the nasty' with even if it meant the continuation of the human race?
3. If this were high school, which of the hamsters would be voted Prom King & Queen?
4. Who would you trust the most to babysit a group of children?
5. Which hamster do you wish were a mime?
6. Which one of them would you most like to see dressed in a diaper and bonnet with a pacifier in their mouth during a live show?
7. Whose head would you shave if you had the chance?
8. Which two of the HGs would you pick for the main event on WWE Raw (wrestling show)?
9. Which hamster would you most like to see act like a statue for 12 hours straight?
10. Road trip! You want to go see the Grand Canyon but have nobody to go with. Which three hamsters would you want to join you?

Leave a comment letting everybody know who you decided on for each of the questions above! I can't wait to see all of the different answers. biggrin.gif

The Walls

After watching Dick and Daniele last night, I was drained. I felt bad for Dick. I felt bad for Daniele. The one thing I was glad about was that there was some kind of real talking going on between them. Actually, Dick was doing most of the talking while Daniele just sat there covering her face. I really hope she was at least listening to him. But I kinda doubt it.

Dick wasn't and isn't the perfect father. He's said it and she's said it. But there isn't a perfect person on this planet. We all have our faults. As somebody who is estranged from her father going on ten years now (his decision and not mine), I really feel for Dick more than Daniele. I feel that he's tried to reach out to her and she continues to put up a wall. He said last night he's tried reaching out to her multiple times (she didn't deny it) so last night definitely wasn't the first occasion.

Most all of us have probably been hurt by somebody in the past. But at some point, we've had to make the decision to either buck up and move forward or continue to wallow in our self-pity. It's my opinion that Daniele is still wallowing.

I'm interested to see how all of you feel about what's been going on between Dick and Daniele - especially after last night's events.

If you missed it, thanks to xx2000xx at YT, you can catch what happened between them last night below.

Waterworks

Was it just me or was there a lot of crying going on on tonight's show? We had Dustin, Kail, Daniele, Amber, Jameka, and Dick teared up talking about Daniele. OK, Dustin's doesn't count because he was fake crying but whatever. LOL

Is there anybody else out there that can't stand Kail? That woman gets on my nerves more and more each day. And then to hear her talking about the gay men and makeup thing tonight was so utterly stupid it boggled my mind. Surely she doesn't think that every gay man lives a life similar to ones portrayed in 'The Birdcage'. Or does she?

The food competition was completely nasty but seemed like a lot of fun - except for them all banging their legs and falling down while getting in and out of the pan. BTW, I hope all of you remember forever and ever what sweetbreads are. It seems every year sweetbreads pops up on some show somewhere and people have no clue what they are.

I think Eric's new America's Player challenge is an interesting one. If America picks the wrong person, they could be severely pissed off and he could be targeted if he's caught. Most people don't take too kindly to thieves. I'm trying to decide between Jessica or Jen. Jessica would probably be the most forgiving and she'd think it was funny (as long as it wasn't her Sun-In or hair dye he took). I think I'm going to vote for Jen. Too bad we can't tell Eric what to take. I think Eric should take one of Jen's 'Jen' shirts because she'd probably blame Big Brother and never even guess one was taken by somebody in the house.

So go vote! Don't forget you can vote a max of 10 times and voting closes at 12:00 midnight PT. I think I'm going to put 8 of my votes to Jen and 2 to Jessica.

So what did y'all think of tonight's show? What did you think about Dick and Daniele in the hammock? What did you think about Dick and Jameka talking? Are you a Kail fan and if so, why? Who are you voting for Eric to swipe something from? So many questions!

laughing.gif

ETA at 9:13 PM - Brett commented that we have to choose whose property Eric vandalizes. I went back and re-read the wording at CBS' site "Eric needs to instigate some drama in the Big Brother house. This week, he's a secret vandal. Whose personal property should he covertly target? It's your choice America."

I think Brett is right and I misunderstood what CBS was wanting us to vote on. Ah well, I still think my Jen and Jessica votes are OK. I'm glad I voted 8 times for Jen and only 2 for Jessica. There's still time to vote if you haven't voted already. And thanks Brett! :)

Jen-ious

Our resident Jensa member won the POV! biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Can you tell I'm happy? Not that I think Jen was in any real danger of going this week, I'm glad she's definitely staying now.

But whoa! Dick's talking with Nick in HOH about putting Mike up in Jen's place and Mike going home. OMG!

No Surprise

The feeds went to FOTH at 5:45 PM and then went to trivia at 5:59 PM for the nomination ceremony and just came back about 20 minutes ago.

Dick has said since last night that he was going to nominate Jen and Kail and indeed he did it. Dick's got it hard for Kail to be going so unless Kail wins POV, she's screwed. Kail certainly didn't help her case with her talk with Dick last night. Personally, I hope Kail goes home. Jen is at least interesting to watch. Kail is not.

The hamsters also had their food competition today. Something about them being 'in' pasta and competing for different foods for the week. In years past, we've been able to watch the food competitions on the feeds but it seems that CBS does not want the feed watchers to see them anymore. That's sad because they were almost always really fun to watch and a nice perk for those of us with the feeds. It was also really interesting being able to listen to BB talk to them. A small part of me still hopes that this isn't the beginning of a pattern of not showing us the food comps, but most of me now is pretty sure CBS just really doesn't want us to see. Boo CBS.

Some of the food it seems they can eat this week: breakfast cereal, milk, goldfish crackers, bananas, cucumbers, potato chips, pasta and sauce, watermelon, M&Ms, and peanut butter, and meat. I don't know about bread, alcohol, or anything else so if you know of more foods they can eat, let me know in the comments.

At some point during the FOTH and trivia for nominations, they were given a BBQ grill for the BY. I heard them talking about it earlier before noms, so I'm assuming it was something that was given to them during the food competition. I wonder if they get to keep the grill or if it goes away after a week. Hmmmm. I hope there are no Ivette accidents or worse though. Even though it was kinda funny. hehehe

ETA - How could I forget? Happy Birthday Jameka!!! biggrin.gif

Liveblogging - Thursday, July 19th, 2007

-:120 - Two hours until show time!

-:13 - They're assembling in the LR now. Feeds should go off any minute. Let's have some fun tonight!

:00 - Previously on BB8. Recaps of Tuesday's show. Opening credits.

:03 - Why hello there Julie! Looking quite nice in your little black dress. It's Day 20. When Daniele won the veto and took herself off the block, she put up Joe. Will Dick be forced to leave before reconciling his differences with Daniele. But first, the explosions of the week are far from over. Just as things appeared to be going one way, another battle erupted in the house.

:04 - Footage of Daniele removing herself from the block. Jen noms Joe. Jen in DR says that Joe is very unpredictable and a very big liar. Dani adjourns the POV meeting. Dustin in DR says that a wave of ecstasy flushes him from head to toe seeing Joe nominated. Dani (in DR) says she doesn't want to see her Dad go this week. ED (in DR) says he's formed better relationships in the house than Joe has. Joe in DR says that he (himself) is screwed.

:05 - Joe & Dani in WC talking. Dani apologizes to him. Joe in DR says he's not going to freak out.

:06 - Joe & Kail talking upstairs about him staying. Joe campaigning to Mike in BY to stay. Joe campaigning to Jessica in their BR to stay. Jessica in DR says Joe will do anything to save himself including vote her out and that she thinks she'll vote for ED to stay.

:07 - Eric receives AP. Which nominee for him to evict? It's Joe. He thanks America and says it will be a slam dunk.

:07 - Joe in hammock with Kail tells her she's made a huge target of herself because she's always talking to Mike. Kail in DR says her biggest concern with ED is that he'll go after people in her alliance. ED in DR says he's not worried about being on the block - knows he has a min of 6 or 7 votes locked up. Kail with Mike in HOH room and Kail tells Mike that they have to get ED out. Kail in DR says she needs to get 5 so that Jen can break a tie. Back to HOH, Kail working with Mike on an angle on how to get Dani to vote her dad out.

:09 - Kail & Dani in LR. Kail tells her she's overcame so much. Kail tells her about him asking her if she's been a good dad. Dani in DR says that Kail is campaigning against her dad. Dani and ED talking in BY. Kail watching. She tells er that Kail's campaigning against him. He tells Dani that he's going to call her out.

:10 - Kail tells Mike and Nick in the kitchen that ED is campaigning. Nick in DR says that Kail is freaked out that ED might stay. Kail in kitchen being confronted by ED.

:11 - ED asks her about her campaigning. He says they had an agreement. He asks her why she lies. Why does she take pieces of the convo and spread it around the house without telling the whole thing. Kail says "sure, whatever". Says they (the other HGs) can make up their own hand. He tells her that she's coming across as selfish and that she's a liar and that she can't be trusted. Kail says she's glad he thinks she has that big of a voice here and says it sounds like she's worried. ED says it should be her that's worried because when Thursday comes around... Just shows you can't be trusted. ED leaves and Kail asks the others around if they have five. Jameka says she's on the fence. Jess in DR says she's torn because Dick is annoying to live with.

:13 - JC - Coming up, we'll talk to the man who got in the middle of Dustin and Joe. Kail in DR says she doesn't like how Evel will figure out a negative part of your personality and broadcast it to the house. Dustin says he can't trust Joe to fill up a glass of water without putting poison in it. Nick gets along with Dick. Jessica thinks ED is gross - burps and farts all the time. Nick says 75% of the time when he's having fun it's because of Joe and he doesn't want to lose that fun atmosphere. Jess says Joe is manipulative and lies about everything. Dani says she doesn't talk to her dad very much in the house and it's still an awkward situation but she knows he'll have her back. Kail says it's something in her gut that says Evel needs to go. Commercial.

:18 - JC welcomes us back. Time to say hi to the HGs. Daniele, you won POV second week in a row. How did it feel to leave your dad on the chopping block? Says it was a crappy situation and says it worked out for her. JC asks Amber about her crying. Why so emotional? She says she's a from the heart person and um and um and um stuff. Says she's just a crier. JC asks a question of the strong men (Magnus & Cragnus) in the house and which one has 7 wives. Magnus says him. She asks Nick about his wife and if it's Dani. He says he'll keep it a secret. JC tells Jen she's found many ways to wear that unitard. JC asks the other women if this will become a fashion trend. Jess says no and thinks Jen did a great job and prob would have asked her for advice.

:20 - Since entering the house, Joe & Dustin have accused each other lies and much much worse. But what's really behind it? Nate 'The Man in the Middle' is introduced. Says he slept with Dustin's ex-boyfriend. Nate thinks that the other HGs know that Joe can't be trusted. Nate says that Joe could have got gonorrhea anywhere and that Joe just wants to make Dustin look like the bad guy which isn't working. Says Joe is digging himself a hole and Dustin is prevailing. Footage of the Joe/Dustin convo in the hammock in the BY a couple of days ago where Dustin says that Joe will not get his vote and Joe accuses him of using him and manipulating him.

:22 - The live vote is coming up. Back to the DR first though. Mike wants Dick out because of his outbursts. Amber says she's closer to Dick. Zach says Joe is the threat to him. Jameka says she would miss Joe more as far as personality. Zach knows that Dick is lying when it comes to him saying he's not playing the game. Jameka says it would be best for her to get rid of ED but she's torn. Mike says the only reason to keep Joe in the house right now is the fact that if he stays in the house, Dick would be gone. Commercial.

:27 - JC welcomes us back to talk to Jen in HOH room about what some would say is her favorite topic. JC asks her about Dick saying some pretty nasty things about her and yet she thanks him and how does she feel. Jen think they have some things in common and she just tries to be happy about it. JC asks her about sobbing when she saw her pic on the memory wall. Jen says it's horrible and JC says it's not. JC asks her about nominating Dani for negative energy. Did she originally nominate Dani out of jealousy? Jen says no, it was because of her energy.

:28 - Time to talk to the nominees. Joe & Dick get one last chance to plead their case. Joe says it was wonderful in getting to know them and that now is the time for them to stand up and take action. Dick says that it's been great getting to know everybody here and says he's been shy and introverted. Dani rolls eyes. LOL Dick says to do what you need to do.

:30 - Dustin votes to evict Joe. He says and "that's that". Dani votes to evict Joe. Eric votes to evict...Julie asks him about the weather Eric says the weather is great outside. He's already voting the way America chose for him. That's not revealed to us again because it was told to us at the beginning of the show. Amber votes to evict Joe. The rest of the house votes when we return. Commercial.

:35 - JC welcomes us back. Live voting continues. So far it's 4-0 to evict Joe. Kail votes to evict Evel. Jameka votes to evict Joe. Mike votes to evict Joe. It's official that Joe is out of the house tonight. Nick votes to evict Joe.

:36 - Jessica votes to evict Joe. Zach votes to evict Joe (he jumped the gun...lmao). The results are in and it's time to reveal the vote to the HGs.

:37 - JC addresses the HGs. By a vote of 9 to 1, Joe you are evicted from the Big Brother house. He hugs jessica and shakes hands with Mike, hugs Amber, hugs Dick, hugs Daniele, skips Dustin, hugs Jameka, Nick, Kail, hugs Eric, and he's out the door. Tells them good luck.

:38 - Joe meets JC. Back to inside the house where they're hugging.

:39 - Your ex-boyfriend used to make fun of how much you were obsessed with the show. How does it feel to be outplayed by your ex? Joe says it kills him. Says when he saw Dustin his game was thrown off. Says he wasn't as focused on the game as he should have been. JC asks him about stirring things up like the Nick and Jen thing. Joe says he shouldn't have done that in retrospect and says that Jen wanted him to stay. Says it's not the reason why he left. Everybody stirred the pot but he was more open and direct about it and at least he was honest about things. JC asks him about somebody sneaking into his bed.

:40 - They show Eric telling Joe about the America's Player twist. Shows him getting into bed with Joe. Joe's laughing in disbelief. Eric says he's a great guy and best wishes. JC tells Joe that means America voted for Eric to get into bed with him. Joe says he has vivid dreams but knew something was going on.

:41 - Goodbye messages. Dick says it's his own fault. Zach says he rubbed him the wrong way. Kail says she tried hard for him and that it probably dug a hole for her. Jessica says she's sorry he's outside of the house now. Nick says he's the most free-spirited nutty guy he's ever met. Jen says that if he's there then her skills for persuading people suck. Dustin says he doesn't believe that Joe is the same person he met in the summer of 2005 and he's sorry that that person is lost somewhere and what matters most is that he takes care of himself and hopes he takes it to heart and takes care of himself. JC asks Joe about the face he made and says she'll continue the convo on The Early Show tomorrow morning. Coming up is the HOH competition. Backyard is a school theme. They're separated like last week and sitting down. Commercial.

:46 - HOH comp. Tonight's comp is called 'Getting Schooled'. HGs, welcome back to high school. Jen, you are not eligible to compete. Will be asking T/F questions covering school subjects as they pertain to their time in the BB house. Hold up the T block or F block to answer. Last player remaining wins HOH.

:47 - History - T/F - After finding out she was evicted from the BB house one of the first things Carol said was "fabulous". Correct answer is true. Dustin got it wrong.

:48 - Math - T/F - In the butter me up competition when you add up all of the butter collected by both teams the total amount was 117 lbs. Correct answer is False. Jameka, Eric, Zach, and Jessica are wrong. Was really 114 pounds.

:49 - Geography - T/F - The animal topiaries are in the BY are based on the famous Garden of Eden sculptures by Michelangelo. Answer is false. Kail is wrong.

:50 - PE - T/F - When Jen won 2nd HOH comp she said "please don't steal this from me I really will be sad". Correct answer is false. Amber and Nick are out. She made the statement but it was after the POV gift of her unitard.

:50 - Math - T/F - When you add up all the bites of pie in the Name that Pie comp, there were more than 45 bites. Down to Daniele, Dick, and Mike. All choose False. Correct answer is true. All wrong.

:51 - PE - T/F - When Jen won the red unitard in the cut throat christmas competition, she jumped up and down and exclaimed "thank you santa". Correct answer is False and all are correct.

:52 - Tie breaker round. The answer will be a number. Closest to the number WITHOUT going over will be new HOH. If everybody is over, the person closest will win.

:53 - From the moment she opened her present in the cut throat christmas competition, how long has Jen had her unitard. Please round it up to the nearest hour. How long has she owned that unitard for? They're thinking. Answers please. Dick says 120. Daniele says 145. Mike says 108. Correct answer is 125 hours. Congratulations Dick!!!! Dick is the new Head of Household. Commercial.

:56 - JC welcomes us back. America's Player voting now. Who do you want out of the house? Tell Eric who he must get nominated. Then watch on Sunday to see if he can get Dick to carry out his wishes. He only has to get one person nominated. Click here to go vote! You can vote a maximum of 10 times and voting ends at midnight Pacific time.

:57 - Who will Dick nominate for eviction? Find out on Sunday 8:00 PM/7:00 CT. Tuesday is POV ceremony. JC reminds us of Showtime feeds. Leaving us to eavesdrop on the houseguests. Dick saying wow. Credits roll. That's all folks!

Wow at Dick being the new HOH! This will be a very fun week. I have a feeling this will be one of the best weeks ever. biggrin.gif

Dick/Jen

I'm so confused when it comes to Jen and, to a lesser extent, Dick. I've been up and listening to them talk in the BY since 4:00 AM and everytime they have these kinds of conversations, it confuses my feelings about them even more. Sometimes I believe Dick and Jen could really rule this house if they teamed up together. At other times, I think there's no way in hell.

I've found that, for the most part, across the BB internet world there are Dick fans and there are Jen fans. Nobody else in that house really has any fans like the two of them do. Jen and Dick are alike in so many ways that it's kinda weird. Both of them them have this 'I don't care' way about them that comes off as condescending. Dick sees that in Jen and talks/preaches to her about it which rubs me the wrong way when he goes on and on about it.

On the one hand, there's Dick saying he is who he is and eff everybody else. Then there's Dick telling Jen how he thinks she should be acting in the house. There's Jen saying that she's not really shallow and self-centered like this in the real world (which I don't believe). She says she's insecure (probably true) and a jealous person (seems to be true) and that's why she's like the way she is. But even though Jen is possibly making herself look bad in the house, why is it of any concern to Dick? And why should she change her behavior for Dick?

A big difference I see between them is empathy. Dick seems more empathetic to the others in the house and out of the house while Jen seems to lack all empathy for anybody. The few attempts at empathy I've seen from Jen come across as empty, forced, emotionless. Dick is an emotional guy and has been seen crying occasionally (for whatever reason) yet says he never cries outside the house.

I'm confusing myself even more by writing all of this and doubt it probably makes any sense! But in a weird way, I see Dick and Jen completing each other in the house. There's this weird respect and rivalry between them that's interesting to watch. I just don't know what more to think right now. Do any of you find this Jen/Dick thing weird?

On to something that makes more sense. And that would be Rob & Trevor's latest podcast (#110) over at RFF Radio. So when you have a little downtime today, have a listen to them. Don't forget your headphones because of the NSFW language.

So we have a live vote tonight. I like that it's so early in the season. Who do you think is going and who do you think is voting for who? Maybe more importantly, who do you want to win the next HOH tonight?

Don't forget the liveblogging here tonight at 8:00 PM/7:00 PM CT! And please forgive me for my rambling Dick/Jen thoughts. cool.gif

Ho Ho Ho Hum!

I don't know about you but I thought tonight's show was kinda boring. But it could have seemed that way to me because I was also busy chatting during the show. You TVCHers know what I'm talking about! wink.gif

It was nice to see the POV competition and the BY looked great and I love curling. Yeah, I'm from Texas and love curling. Weird but whatever. So I absolutely loved that about the competition. I was kinda shocked though that nobody traded gifts with anybody. It would have made things more interesting if at least one person had traded. Wouldn't you have loved to see Dick cuffed to Daniele for 24 hours? I would have. But I'm getting ahead of myself here.

The gifts. Joe went out first and got himself a slop pass. Yay Joe. Jen was eliminated next and earned the ability to be the Lady in Red by wearing this very likely forever famous red unitard for a week (probably really only until Thursday afternoon not quite making it a week). Mike was eliminated next and he got a date! I'm sure Mike was extremely happy about his decision later on. If I were Mike, I would have wanted to wear the red unitard instead. What do they say about hindsight?

Dick was eliminated next and he got himself a nice plasma TV. Actually, I don't know if it's nice or not because I still have a 27" tube but I'd imagine it would be nice. Amber is the first loser, I mean runner-up, and she won being able to pick somebody to be cuffed to for 24 hours. She picked Kail. Yawn. Interesting though that Amber said in DR that she lost on purpose to Daniele. If you'd have been watching the feeds before the comp (see my Delicious Drama post) she was ready to have a nervous breakdown and anoint Jen the queen of her inner space.

Daniele won the POV and she won...wait for it...was kinda good....she won the POV! Yeah, that's the prize they're giving out nowadays for the POV competition. Whodathunkit. In the POV ceremony, Daniele's speech was pretty good and Dick said later on that he had no idea she felt that way or was going to say that.

BTW, I really loved watching Eric trying to crawl into Joe's bed tonight. Sucks that BB didn't give him credit for it though. Poor guy. And now we have to decide who he needs to vote out in the LIVE VOTE Thursday evening. I'm voting for Joe. Don't forget that you can vote a max of 10 times before 12:00 AM PT and you can vote by going to CBS' America's Player voting page. I'm going to have to add this link to my sidebar for future use. biggrin.gif

Finally, I must confess something. While watching tonight's show, I was also watching Jen prounce around in her red unitard/body suit/onesie in the backyard and pool tonight. Does she have a great body? Absolutely. Does she look like a 1990's Frederick's of Hollywood throwback model in her twisty little getup? Abso-freaking-lutely! If she could cram any more red fabric between her cheeks.... Wait. I better stop now.

So, what did you think of tonight's show? Who are you going to vote for Eric to evict? Have you seen this evening's unitard variation of Jen's???

Added for my lovely commenter Kyla... Blame her if you don't like it! tongue.gif

Quick Rant #1

Could Amber please make up her mind as to when she stopped doing speed? She's said multiple times she was addicted to speed for a year. Yet, her length of sobriety has been different just about every time she's told her "three life-changing events" stories.

Her length of sobriety ranges from a year to 9 months to 6 months to 3 months. I know drugs do bad things to the gray matter upstairs but come on already. Can't you at least get the month that you quit using correct???

Certainly Big Brother does hair follicle tests?

grrrrr

Most Annoying?

Now this is what many of you have been waiting for! The follow-up post to the Favorite post last week. You've been begging for it via carrier pigeons, morse code, and smoke signals so I thought the least I could do was give you what you've been clamoring for. So ladies and gentlemen, without further adieu...

Who do you think is the most annoying hamster this season?

And no funny business by choosing Carol (who's already been evicted) or Julie Chen (who will never be evicted)!

Who really gets your blood pressure rising? Gives you eye-roll fatigue? Gets your knickers in a knot?

I know you've just been dying to tell me. And how do you tell me? You can tell me by leaving a comment. And leaving a comment is super duper easy. Just click on that little 'Comment' link right underneath this line here. biggrin.gif

Cragnus, Magnus, Zagnus, Diagnus, and Jen

How many of you were around for the unofficial Big Brother 2008 Iron Man competition today? If you had the feeds on, you had to have been laughing your ass off. It reminded me of the first couple of BB seasons because back then, they seemed to come up with their own ways of amusing themselves as a group more often instead of Big Brother giving them things to do.

Today's Iron Man competition with Cragnus (Nick), Magnus (Mike), Zagnus (Zach), and Diagnus (Dustin) performing topless with small vegetable gardens in their tight spandex shorts was one of the best BB moments in many years. Avocados ripened and potatoes baked before my very own eyes. It was truly a surreal and grand experience. And watching those hot wet male bods perform such feats of grandeur left me twitching in exhaustion. Exhaustion from laughing so hard! wink.gif

The competition on the feeds this afternoon was worth the price of the feeds. If you missed it, look around and you might get lucky for I have no idea how much will actually make the show. It wasn't exactly PG if you know what I mean.

Unofficial Big Brother 2008 Iron Man competition - Cragnus, Magnus, Zagnus, and Diagnus

The Jen part of this post has to do with tonight's show. Jen sure isn't being shown in a very good light so far by the producers of Big Brother and if you watch the feeds you certainly know why. I remember watching her that night she got her HOH room and the shallowness she displayed concerning the pictures she received was outrageous. I didn't see on the feeds when she woke up ED Friday morning, but after seeing it tonight, I certainly understand why he was upset. She clearly did it to purposefully piss him off. I can't wait to see how they spin the ED and Jen blowup yesterday morning on the show on Tuesday.

Speaking of tonight's show, we have a new America's Player decision to make. Which houseguest's bed should Eric sleepwalk to and crawl into tonight? By the way, if the person chosen is already sleeping in the HOH room, Eric has to try for the next highest vote-getter. So go cast your votes at CBS' site. Don't forget! You can vote a maximum of ten times and you have until midnight BB time tonight. I'm trying to decide between Joe or Nick.

You know what, I think I'm gonna go with Nick. Why? Because it would be hilarious to watch Eric try to curl up next to Nick on the floor next to Daniele's bed. Whatever you do, don't waste your votes on Jen, Kail, or Amber though. Happy voting everybody! I hope I'm up late enough tonight to watch it.

What did you think about the Iron Man competition today? Who had the hottest bod? Any thoughts on the show tonight? Who are you voting for Eric to crawl into bed with? Let me know in the comments. Happy hamster-watching everybody. biggrin.gif

Delicious Drama

The tension is thick in the Big Brother house already and it's only Week 2! All of this waiting around for the POV comp has the hamsters wound up so tight I think one of them might have a nervous breakdown.

Here's a quick rundown for those who have missed all of the goings on so far today.

They were woken up very early this morning for the POV comp (around 6:00 AM) and BB started calling them into the DR. They're all getting ready for the comp (showers, etc). Paranoia is already at an all-time high because Joe was running the night before telling everybody it must be a double eviction week. People are on edge because of Dick and Daniele being on the block AND just because Jen is HOH.

At 8:44 AM Big Brother tells them the POV comp will begin in one hour. Well, Dick's been running around asking everybody to throw the competition to him so that he can win because he wants to take Daniele off the block. Joe begins developing a 'rash' on his arm and leg and begins talk of how he might be contagious. Dustin talks of his huge morning oak (read between the lines people). Jen's finally called to the DR at 9:28 AM presumably so that BB can brief her on the competition. Yay! It might be coming up soon.

Around 9:40 AM, Nick tells Dustin, Amber, and Daniele about his previous with the Mrs. Robertson group (Kail, Mike, Zach, and Nick). BTW, yes I know it should be Mrs. Robinson but I say Mrs. Robertson because that's what Kail kept saying because she'd never heard of Mrs. Robinson but whatever I'm getting sidetracked. So now Nick is really screwing over Kail, Mike, and Zach. Zach's been screwing himself over just by being Zach and winding everybody up of the last few days. So keep an eye on Kail and Mike and see how long it takes them to realize they have traitors in their group. Sorry. Back on topic.

At 9:54 AM we go to FOTH. Must be competition time! Wrong. Feeds come back on around 10:15 and Dick's called to the DR. Others are in the LR about to start a 20 Questions game. FOTH for a few minutes. Feeds back on at 10:26 AM and Amber's crying to Dustin in the gym. Waterworks already? Get it together girl! Oh wait. Here comes Jen to the gym. Jen tells Amber that she wants her nominations to stand and for whoever wins the competition to not use the POV. She doesn't mean to upset Amber but if Amber wins the competition and DOES use the POV (which Amber does want to win and wants to really take Daniele off) then Jen will put up Amber's good friend Dustin and she'll try to get it so that Dustin goes home. Jen is definitely there to play the game folks. Amber goes in to the storage room (by herself) and asks Big Brother if she could have her anti-anxiety medication. LOL

BTW, the players in today's POV will be: Jen, Dick, Daniele, Mike, Joe, and Amber. Dustin will be the host.

11:03 AM we go to FOTH again. And we're back again at 11:15 AM! Amber's crying in the storage room. Wait. Now ED is going off on Jen in the storage room. Calls her a bitch and tells her to leave Amber alone. Says he (can't wait to/would love to) feel the bones in her throat crushing between his hands. Jen's just like 'whatever' while smiling the whole time.

See, Jen's gone to Amber and Joe and told them if they win POV to not use it. Some would say she threatened her. I wouldn't say she basically threatened Amber because this is a game after all. When Jen tried this with Joe, Joe was like and? Which of my friends are you going to put up if I win it and decide to use it? I don't really have any friends in here and I'm not really in an alliance so back off. Basically, that was the gist of it.

Jen retreats to her HOH room to await the competition. Joe goes upstairs and begins talking about his rash to Jen (they're alone in the HOH room). Jen's not really liking where this convo is going. Haha. Jen tells Joe that "everybody" in the house has told her that if he (Joe) wins the POV he is going to use it. Joe says "everybody"? Jen says yes. Joe says it's a lie because he hasn't said anything to everybody. Jen then backs down a little and says just "a few" people have told her that. Joe wants to know who they are. Jen doesn't tell him because she doesn't want Joe to go confront them and cause a blowup. Joe says he wouldn't do that and then asks Jen about her telling him again not to use the POV. They hash through this again.

Meanwhile, Nick and Daniele are in the SR still consoling Amber. Dick comes in and tells Amber not to worry about it. Do what she's got to do. He'll take care of things himself (meaning win POV comp). Hmmmm. I wonder if Dick would tell Amber that if he knew she was really wanting him out over Daniele and that Amber's not really on his side like she's been telling him.

So anyways, pretty much the entire house is upset. Something tells me that Jen likes it this way. I know it's certainly been a fun day on the feeds so far and we don't even know who the POV winner is yet. Should be fun fun fun for the whole family when the feeds come back on and we find out who the POV winner is. LMAO

Oh and at 11:28 AM we went to FOTH. Feeds cut to trivia at 11:35 AM. So yeah, the POV competition is going on right now.

Have any of you been watching all this drama this morning too? laughing.gif

12:54 PM - Feeds are back on! Seems Dick might have won a plasma TV. Trying to figure out who really won POV though. LOL

12:57 PM - Daniele won the POV!

Daniele won the POV!

1:20 PM - All of the people who competed in the POV comp has had 'something' happen to them. Jen is stuck wearing a red bodysuit all week. Daniele won POV. Dick lost POV but won a plasma TV. Joe won a slop pass. Amber is handcuffed to Kail (?). I wonder how Mike is affected?

Jen Nominated...

Just as I was about to post saying, "Come on already!!!!", the feeds come back on. Goodness gracious, what in the sam hell took so freaking long???? Ridiculous I say.

I have no idea who was nominated yet because we keep going back to the same blue flume. I have a sneaking suspicion that they were dragging things out as long as possible for BBAD. They want the drama on Showtime. Hmph.

I'm still kinda upset that we weren't able to watch the food competition on the feeds today like we've been able to do in previous seasons. That's something that can't be saved for BBAD so I have no idea why that wasn't shown live. I hope this doesn't happen every week with the food comp and that it's only a one time deal.

Everybody looks calm and normal. Doesn't look like there were any fights. Amber doesn't even look like she was crying which is quite rare for her.

I'll update this post as soon as I can figure out who was nominated. In the meantime, feel free to comment on whatever your little heart desires.

ETA - ED and Daniele were definitely the ones nominated. Eric confirmed it in talking to Jameka while she was crying just now.

Soooo, this wasn't any earth-shattering news. So why in the world did it take so damned long? mad.gif

The Queen Bee

So the beautiful and humble (lol) Jen is BB8's second HOH. I don't know if she guessed 41 gallons in the teacup because she's smart or clueless. LOL! But regardless, she is the HOH now and she will probably be shaking things up a little bit this week.

I read somewhere that last night Mike told Jen that she's this year Janelle and she took it hook, line, and sinker!!! Even though Janelle wasn't a favorite of mine during All Stars last year, Jen is definitely no Janelle. I don't recall Janelle whining about the pictures she got in her HOH room. I don't recall Janelle whining because she didn't get silk sheets and pillowcases for her HOH bed. Boo hoo Jen! No pics of you with Will and Boogie to rub in the other hamsters' noses. You poor thing you!

Anyway, Jen was thinking about putting two guys up on the block because she doesn't want to see the girls go too soon in the game. At the same time though, seems she's really wanting Daniele to go home. So I'm not quite sure who she's going to put up along with ED.

It also seems that America voted for Eric to go after Jessica of all people at this time. Eric was leaning on Jen really hard last night for her to put up Jessica. Come on America! Get with the program. Why Jessica??? I think America voted for Jessica purely because of her voice. Jessica has no reason to be an early target for Eric. So it comes across as silly to see Eric pushing so hard for Jessica to be nominated.

So what are y'all's thoughts on Jen as the new HOH? Who do you think she'll put up? What do you think about Eric having to go after Jessica? Who did you vote for Eric to target? Oh, and what exactly happened with Zach and Jameka last night that caused her to be so upset at him?

7:08 AM - If you haven't listened to Rob & Trevor's latest RFF Radio podcast yet, you are truly missing out!!! This is something you must do ASAP. I haven't been able to stop laughing! They do such a great job covering Big Brother. OK. Enough of me going on about them already. Click here to go their latest podcast page and then click on DOWNLOAD NOW to listen. I hope all of you love them as much as I do. And a warning - their language is NSFW so I recommend headphones if you are around people who could be offended by some language. LOL

Liveblogging - Thursday, July 12th, 2007

-:28 - Opening the post up. Here's to a great show everybody!

-:15 - Feeds are on flume for the show. Please forgive me ahead of time for any misspellings! :)

:00 - Previously on Big Brother 8....

:03 - Good evening I'm Julie Chen. Julie looks nice tonight in a black pantsuit but has this weird huge white pearlish type necklace on. Justin & Joe are trying to be civil. Jessica's happy that her former BFF is on the chopping block. Amber's been turning to her faith for support. Tonight, one of these 2 will walk out empty-handed. But first, Kail's choice of nominees was designed to make the fewest waves in the house.

:04 - Recap of Daniele not using the POV and to keep the nominees the same. POV ceremony adjourned. Carol says all she can do is try and pretend not to be bothered. Amber tells Daniele she gave a good speech. Amber says she's not there for herself but that she's there for her family. Dick says he loves Amber and knows he can trust Amber more than anybody else in the house other than Daniele.

:05 - Dustin & Amber talking in WC. Amber says it's nice to have somebody to turn to and says she has to stay in the house this week. Dustin says he doesn't think it will be a prob. Amber says she thinks she's safe in the DR. Carol out on hammock with Jen. Carol says she doesn't know what to do to win votes. Thinks she has Joe, pretty sure about Daniele, thinks she might have her (Jen). Carol says the people she's sure she doesn't have is Dick, Dustin, and Jessica. Carol says in DR it's not the right time for her to go at all.

:06 - Carol approaches Jessica in bedroom. Apologizes for being a bitch in middle school. Jessica says in DR she's thought about teaming up with her but then remembers she doesn't trust her. Carol now out on hammock with Eric. Says none of the females strike her as intelligent whatsoever. Dustin and Amber on hammock now. Joe says in DR that clearly Dustin & Amber are close. Joe says they should nip it in t he bud now. Carol tells Joe in WC that she's going to fight and asks Joe to tell Zach the reasons why she wants to fight to stay.

:08 - Joe & Zach in WC talking about who to vote for. Zach says if the vote is pretty close then let's talk. If it's close, they're agreeing to vote for the same person. Zach in DR says that for their alliance (Nick, Mike, Kail, and himself) they need to be in agreement. Nick in SR with Zach talking it over. Zach says if Carol goes, that's his only chance at having a lapdog.

:09 - In HOH with Kail, Nick, and Mike talking about things. Jen comes in. Says she would have worn her birthday suit if she'd known there was a party. Guys leave. Kail tells Jen that the guys don't tell her anything. Kail says the house really is split.

:10 - Julie talks to houseguests for the very first time live this season. They joke and say they don't hear her. LOL. Good evening houseguests. You have your first two nominees of the season sitting before you. Jen, what was making that decision like for you? Jen says it was fun. Giggles and says she wasn't prepared to answer anything. JC asks Eric. Eric says it was really hard and that neither one of them deserve to be up there and disappointing for whoever has to go home tonight. JC asks Jessica about her and Carol burying the hatchet and if Carol is evicted. Jessica says if Carol is evicted, then it was just her time to go. JC asks Carol her feelings towards Jessica right now. Jessica says it's like just another houseguest she's never seen. JC asks Dick how the time has been with his daughter. He says at least they're talking even if it's just a cordial kinda thing. He says it was expected and unexpected and says it's been hard. JC asks Daniele. Daniele did as she said she would, answers' Awkward!'. Says it's hard to deal with in front of a bunch of people but that everybody's been caring. JC asks Joe about the tension between him and Dustin. Joe says the nicest thing he can say about Dustin is that he has a beautiful smile and it's purely surface level. JC asks Dustin. Dustin says Joe has a winning personality. JC leaves them. Dick was a struggling musician fighting to make a living. When we come back, Daniele's grandmother and brother talk to us.

:15 - Dustin wants to keep Amber around. Joe wants to keep Carol. Jen wants to keep Carol. Nick wants to keep Amber. Jameka thinks Amber should go because she's a strong competitor. Joe wants to get Carol out of there. Nick says the reason to evict Amber would be because she's getting close to Dustin and he's not sure about that.

:16 -Commercial

:19 -JC welcomes us back. Before entering the BB house, it had been nearly two years before Dick & Dani had spoken. They talk to Charlotte (Dick's mom) and Vincent (Dani's brother) now. Show Dick where he asked Kail his opinion. Vincent says his sister hasn't talked to Dick because at one point he let her borrow money at some point and the way he handled it wasn't good so they just stopped talking. Dani says in DR she doesn't know what to do to change the situation between her and her dad. Charlotte says Dick wasn't prepared to be a father. He's always wanted to be close to Daniele and wants to get closer with her now. Dick says in DR that it's a lot harder than he thought it would be. Says it could be good for their relationship but it could destroy it. He's kinda crying now. Dick says to Nick in BY that at least they're talking now. Dick in DR says he's there to win the game and to win the love of his daughter back. Vincent says it's important to his Dad to get his relationship back with Dani because they're family is kinda small and they're all each of them have.

:22 - JC talks to Kail in HOH now. Once you became HOH you quickly formed an alliance with three of the men. Why all men? Kail said it wasn't her plan coming into the house. Zach approached her first and it just started from there. Kail said she surprised at first about Dick's emotional conversation with her but because of her age she thinks he felt comfortable about it.

:23 - JC says we'll find out how Eric's friends/family will react to his being the first America's Player.

:24 - Zach says he'd keep Carol because Carol warmed up to him. Dani wants to keep Amber in the house. Dick says Carol is looking for a place to keep her tiara in the house and that she's a member of the princess crew. Mike wants to keep Carol in the house because her loyalty to her down the line would last long than Amber. Dani says it would be risky to keep Amber. Mike says the only reason to evict Carol is because she's a strong player and stronger than Amber. Jessica says she wouldn't keep Carol at all but she does like watching her try to save herself.

:25 - Commercial

:28 - JC welcomes us back. Eric is facing a challenge that no other HG has ever had to face. Meeting his friends and family who didn't have a clue. They're gathered in a living room somewhere. Josh (older brother) says Eric has watched every single season of BB. Mitch & Karen (his parents) says he can tell you everything about all of the previous seasons. Matt (friend) thinks they will like Eric in the house because he's a charming guy. They all boo when they see that Eric will be America's Player. Friends/Family concerned that Eric won't be able to use the strategy he had been planning on. Josh thinks this might excite Eric in the house. They all toast to Eric.

:31 - JC tells us we got to choose who Eric would evict. Eric in DR. Eric says he wasn't committing his vote either way. Only one pro to keeping Carol in the house (missed it). Says Amber is a down-to-earth girl. Eric reads that "we vote to evict Carol".

:31 - Commercial

:35 - JC welcomes us back again. Time to find out live who will be walking out of the house tonight. Let's return to the LR. Amber, Carol, before I reveal the results I'll give you each one last chance to address the houseguests. Amber says that she wants to say she had a really good time and regardless of how the votes go she wishes them luck. She's tearing up. Carol says it's an experience she'll never forget. Feels honored and privileged to have met them and wishes them luck in the game and out in the real world.

:36 - JC says the evicted HG will have one minute blah blah blah. By a vote of 10 to 1, Carol, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house. Carol says "fabulous" and that she "saw that one coming". She's hugging people now.

:37 - Carol walks out the door. They're clapping for her. Carol says she hopes she grabbed the right bag as she's going to meet JC. JC introduces herself and asks her to have a seat. Back to the house now where they're all talking. Amber and Dustin hugging. Dick says something about the bunnies. LOL Dick and Amber hug. Nick and Amber hug.

:38 - JC & Carol in studio now. Carol says this is so weird. JC, you said earlier tonight that Jessica isn't the same person from back then. How is she different? Carol says she didn't really mean it and that Jessica is the same girl as she was back then. JC asks her how. Carol says she doesn't want to go into it. Carol says she doesn't remember what happened between her Jessica. JC says that Jessica does and shows her the clip of Jessica going on about the $5 owed to her along with other comments Jessica's made about Carol.

:40 - Carol says that yes, she's the exact same person she was in high school. She was conceited and stuck up and now she doesn't feel bad about saying it now. Carol watches the goodbye messages. Joe says he's going to miss her in this game. Zach says she has a big heart but it might not be good in the game. Kail says Carol is a HG she wants to keep in contact with. Amber says she's glad she got to meet her and wishes her luck. Jessica says it's weird that we never made up earlier and it's weird that it took a reality show for them to meet again and that maybe they'll see each other at the high school reunion. Carol says to JC that she tried really hard to be nice to Jessica but Jessica hasn't changed and she's not going to go there anymore. JC says that tomorrow on the morning show they'll reveal the one person who wanted to keep Carol safe.

:42 - Shows BY where they're set up for HOH competition. Gah! Same set as in previous 2 seasons. They're all in a line with the partitions and have to hold up cards or something with their answers.

:42 - Commercial

::46 - House Calls commercial. Carol will be on tomorrow. JC welcomes us back for the HOH competition. Let's find out who the new HOH will be. The power is up for grabs! Tonight's competition is called 'Majority Rules'. Asking them questions about how their housemates will rule on their fellow housemates. A or B. If answers are tied, the round will not count. Last one remaining wins HOH.

:47 - In the 'Butter Me Up' food comp, who does the majority of the house say they'd rather rub the butter off of? Daniele is A and Jen is B. Majority says Daniele. Zach chooses Jen and is out.

:48 - Who does the majority of the house say they would not let their little sister go out on a date with? Nick is A and Mike is B. Majority is Nick. Dick, Daniele, Nick are out.

:49 - Who does the majority of the house say would cheat on a significant other? Joe is A and Dustin is B. Everybody says Joe and nobody gets eliminated.

:49 - Who does the majority of the house say would hold a grudge the longest? Dick is A and Daniele is B. Majority is Daniele. Jameka is out.

:50 - Who does the majority of the house say would be the best person to cheer them up if they were depressed? Eric is A and Jessica is B. Majority said Eric. Amber is eliminated.

:50 - Who does the majority of the house say is most likely to turn 500,000 into 5 million dollars? Kail is A and Zach is B. Majority is Zach. Jessica and Mike are eliminated.

:51 - Who does the majority of the house say would help an old lady across the street? Jameka is A and Amber is B. Tied.

:51 - Tie breaker question. The answer will be a number. Person closest without going over will be new HOH. If everybody goes over, the person closest wins. How many gallons of water does the spinning teacup in the backyard hold? Answers please. Dustin says 200, Eric says 220, Amber says 41, Joe says 136. Julie says that because of the entrance, the BB teacup holds 9 gallons of water. Jen is the new HOH!!!!!

:55 - JC says it's time for us to get involved. Who do you want out of the house? Tell Eric who to target and watch on Sunday. Who should Eric try to get nominated? Text your answer to 81818. You can see the choices on CBS' site. 99 cents per text message vote. Max of 10 votes per person. Votes accepted until midnight Pacific tonight.

:56 - Who will Jen nominate for eviction? Find out on Sunday. POV on Tuesday. JC reminds us of Big Brother After Dark feeds on Showtime. Let's eavesdrop on the houseguests.

:57 - They're all kinda talking in BY. Dick is smoking over on the couch and others are gathering there while Jen talks to some of them in the BY.

:58 - Show's over!

Well Well Well. What the bloody hell is going to happen now that Jen's HOH. So weird that she even said she was going to be HOH earlier today. Just wow.

Favorite?

Have any of you picked a favorite yet? I'm not talking about a couple of hamsters you like. I'm talking about an absolute favorite houseguest that you're hoping goes to the very end and takes it all.

At this point, it's so easy to pick out hamsters we don't like. We each can pick one that annoys us beyond belief. A hamster that makes us want to change feeds when we catch a glimpse of them. A hamster that makes our ears feel like they're going to bleed when we hear their voice. A hamster who makes our eyes roll back into our head so far we think we're having a convulsion when we hear them mentioned by the others.

But...

The live feeds have been on for almost six days now. We've had a chance to observe them in the house at our own (or their) leisure. We've had a chance to watch the show three times. We've had a chance to read about them on websites and blogs and message boards across the wonderful internet. We're beginning to think that we might 'know' them on some kind of personal or game level.

So...

Pick one and only one.

Tell me why they're your favorite. Is it because of their charisma, intellect, looks, and/or some other quality(ies)? Do you think your favorite is going to win? If you're not sure when it comes to their championship qualities, do you think your favorite might have a real chance at winning Big Brother 8?

I would have to say that my favorite right now is Dustin hands down. I absolutely adore him! I find him smart, funny, and he seems to be easy to get along with in the house. I don't know if he has what it takes to win but I think he has a real chance. At least I hope he has a real chance.

So tell me who your 'favoritest' hamster is right now and why they are. Remember, only pick one. tongue.gif

Little Tidbits

You know those tidbits of info we've heard on the feeds so far that we may forget a little bit down the road? I thought we could share some of those nuggets of info with each other in this post. I bet we can all learn a little bit more about the hamsters that we may have missed the first time around on the feeds. I'll go first and y'all can add yours in the comments.

Jen is/was a nanny for Vanna White.

Like Jenerally Speaking

Like I have so many things running through my brain after like watching the feeds so far this weekend. Like I think I've lost like 10 IQ points between like yesterday and now. Like I feel like I'm watching people in like high school! Oh Em Gee!

Ok. I'll stop it.

Why in the world is Nick still wearing that hot pink nail polish? Are Daniele and Jessica soul sisters? Has Eric been in the Navy? Is Dick on uppers? I wonder if Jen's ever made rabbit stew.

These are just a few of the many thoughts going on upstairs. Hold up. Why did the feeds switch back to Daniele and Jessica talking? I was more interested in Amber's diarrhea story. sick.gif

I wonder if Mike Boogie and Will really coached Jen. If so, who's bright idea was it for her to wear her 'Jen' shirts? CT had some cool shirts. Jen does not have cool 'Jen' shirts. Also, did CT tell Jen it would be a good thing if she picked a guy in the house to go all Fatal Attraction on in the first week?

Pretend this is Jen. "Like Nick, you can only flirt with me and nobody else. I'm going to have these silly 'date nights' with Mike and possibly other men in the house but you can't cuddle with anybody else. Also, remember when you kissed my hand? I'm going to tell everybody that you made a move on me and tried to kiss me but I'm not going to tell them where you kissed me. I'm going to let them think it was on my mouth. So hopefully they'll think you're some big time player and talk bad about you. But it's OK. I know you only want me. So don't be mad OK? Just play along with it."

Pretend this is Nick. "WTF? You're going to ruin my chances with Daniele! Her dad has even talked to me about it already. Calm down Jen. BTW, what color should I go with on my nails next? Malibu coral or tropical paradise? Do you think Joe would like it?"

Pretend this is Jen again. "Whatever. I don't care what color you paint your nails Nick. Just don't use any of my polish because it's only for me because I'm special and so pretty and so talented and like my butt looks good. Will you kiss me again?"

Pretend this is Nick again. "*inaudible mumbles while walking away*"

In case you have no idea what I'm referring to, I'm kinda referring to the little spat last night between Jen and Nick that got the house all riled up and in their business. Go read the LFPs about it all over at MediaFiends. Then come back and re-read this post. It'll make more sense.

And in other BB news, Daniele did not use the POV. Food restrictions ended last night at midnight. Dustin, Amber, and Dick are in an alliance with Jameka on the fringes. Zach, Mike, and Kail are tight. If nothing drastic happens between now and Thursday, Carol will be the first hamster evicted in Big Brother 8.

Don't forget about the show tonight at 8:00 ET. Will be nice to see the first nomination ceremony, food competition, and Diary Rooms.

Toodles for now! I must go paint my nails. tongue.gif

ETA at 6:00 PM - I took the pic below from C3 while the show was on about 30 minutes ago. I have no idea what in the world she was doing. But I just had to update this post with it especially after watching the show tonight and seeing her carry on about how bad her pic looked on the wall. Talk about drama queen!

Yawn... Stretch...

Today has been a rather slow day in the house so far. They're making me sleepy with all of the napping and laying out. So please forgive me if I have nothing witty to write at the moment.

If you have something witty to say, post it in the comments. Perhaps it'll perk me up!

POV Winner?

I musta missed it but it's being reported that Daniele won the POV. Seems Nick and Joe both told her 'congratulations' and Carol said that Daniele had won it. So if that's the case......

Who knows? So much can change this early in the game. I'm just glad I'm not listening to Dick, Dustin, Jen, Joe, Eric, Mike, and Zach play 20 questions anymore. I am happy though that we were at least able to watch them do that instead of watching more trivia.

What do you think will happen if Daniele did win the POV? Do you think she'll keep things the same? Would she take somebody off the block?

ETA - Yup. Daniele did indeed win POV. I just heard Joe refer to it.

After One Night

Here are some quick observations after one night of feeds:

* Amber and Carol have been nominated
* Eric loves to say f*ck
* Food comp was on Wednesday and some are on slop (Jameka, Carol, Joe, Jessica, Daniele)
* Amber feels the closest to Dustin, Dick, and Eric
* Today (July 6th) will be their 7th day in the house
* Jen likes showing her ass - literally
* Joe is annoying
* POV comp is today

And then this morning I wake up to find Dick going crazy in the backyard, swinging some pole around that had a long yellow ribbon in it as if it was a bat. Think of it as a crazy version of Tommy Lee on the floor at the Olympics performing his rhythmic gymnastics ribbon routine to the tune of Ozzy's 'Crazy Train'. Um yeah. Weird indeed.

Well he's gone to the DR and now emerged still bordering on breakdown (crying and sniffling). After reading LFPs (Live Feed Posts) from some of the sites over there on the right, I see that he's just kinda depressed about Daniele and how she always wanted to be Alice (from AiW) and now she is and yada yada yada. Well now he's getting in the hot tub. Um OK.

So anyways, what kind of impressions do you have about what's going on after a night of hamsterwatching?

Big Brother 8 Season Premiere

The show is about to begin! Cue the music. Tingles beginning. Woohoo! It's awn!

*watching show*

Show's over. Wow. Talk about some over the top drama queens! I think I'm gonna love it. LOL

The show begins with 11 of the hamsters gathering in front of the house meeting each other for the very first time. They are: Amber, Carol, Daniele, Eric, Jameka, Jen, Joe, Kail, Mike, Nick, and Zach. They get to go in by three groups to pick their beds. Group #1 was Carol, Joe, Mike, and Amber. Group #2 was Nick, Daniele, and Jameka. Group #3 was Kail, Jen, Eric, and Zach. Of course the bigger beds get taken first. Did you know Zach is like outrageously tall! Wow. Eric mentions he is only 5'7" and picks a short bed.

So after beds are picked, everybody sits down in the LR to chit-chat and introduce themselves. Nothing too much to take away from that except Daniele lied and said she's already 21. Kail didn't admit to owning multiple businesses and instead just said she was a real estate agent. Jen went on and on about all of the things she's doing and Carol mentioned in DR that she found Jen annoying because of her "gigantic boobs". Joe finds Nick attractive. Kail (in DR) says something about not being able to understand if any of her children were gay. Jameka (in DR) says she's not used to being around all of these white people.

Julie tells us that there are three other hamsters in the house already and they're in the HOH bedroom. Of course, they're Dick, Dustin, and Jessica. They're able to watch and hear the 'Original 11' in the living room on the screen in the HOH. Dustin tells Dick and Jessica that Joe cheated on him with his friend. Jessica says that she and Carol haven't spoken in 3 years (they had some falling out over $5 being loaned out in junior high but that's not what caused them to not be BFFS forever). At one point, Jessica thought she saw a ring on Carol's finger (duh Jessica, it was her right hand and not her left) and blurts out that Carol is not a loyal person. Dick says he hasn't spoken to his daughter, Daniele, in 2 years.

Julie tells the 'Original 11' (O11 from here on out) they they need to get ready for the first HOH competition and tells them that there is another group of housemates that have been watching and listening to them this entire time. She also tells them that the other group will not be competing for HOH.

After a commercial break, the O11 are in the backyard amidst mushrooms and green astroturf and told to team up in twos. The odd man out won't be competing. That odd man would be Nick. Hehehe.

The name of the HOH comp is 'Mushroom Madness'. In each pair, one person will be answering a series of True/False questions while the other person has to sit atop a mushroom behind them. If their partner gets the T/F question wrong, their mushroom will start to spin faster and faster blah blah. Last team still standing (or sitting rather) wins.

Carol & Amber were eliminated first. Then Zack & Jen. Now the questions were over. Endurance begins now. Those still on their mushrooms had to just saute, I mean sit, it out. They had gunk exploded on them earlier as well as some kind of powder. Hmmmm.

The teams still left are Joe (mushroom-sitter) and Jameka; Mike (mushroom-sitter) and Daniele; and Kail (mushroom-sitter) and Eric.

Mike falls off so him and Daniele are out. Then Joe falls off thereby eliminating himself and Jameka. Kail & Eric are the final team standing. But wait. Julie has an announcement.

Only 1 of them can be HOH and the person that will be the first HOH of BB8 will be determined by the 3 other hamsters the O11 still haven't met. Julie also tells them that the 3 are safe from nomination this week. Rut roh. Anyways, the 3 choose Kail to be the first HOH. That makes Eric very happy as he didn't want to be HOH. He wants to be one of those 'under the radar' type of players.

Ooooh. A House Call commercial. I wonder if it starts tomorrow (12:00 ET). It didn't say.

Back from commercial, the Chenbot tells the O11 about this little twist concerning an enemy, etc being in the house. She gives them time to ponder who it might be that could be in the house. Joe automatically guesses Dustin and makes sure to tell the world that he got gonorrhea and it had to be have been from Dustin. Camera shoots to Dustin holding his face a la 'Home Alone' style and vehemently denying such a claim. Joe seems pretty bitter though. LOL

Kail is worried about somebody coming in and blowing her lie about her career. Carol doesn't think it's anybody from her past. Jameka hopes it's not her. Daniele thinks it could be her dad.

Joe says the O11 should get the 3 out as soon as possble. Meanwhile, Dick tells Jessica & Dustin in the HOH room to not let it mess their game up in the house.

Now enter the 3 from the HOH heaven above. Carol laughs upon seeing Jessica. Dick introduces himself as 'Evel Dick'. Meanwhile, Joe glares at Dustin with the naughtiest eyes in the world. Oh no. Daniele leaves and goes to the restroom to cry. Fear not though for Jameka and Amber are there to comfort her.

Finally! Julie tells us about 'America's Player' (AP). AP will follow our (viewers) instructions. And the AP is....drumroll please....ERIC!

I actually like this. I was worried about it being Joe. Thank you Eric. Julie tells us that for every episode, starting this Sunday, we can either text or phone to vote on something the AP will do. For every 5 tasks he completes, he will earn $10,000. Not too bad I guess.

Julie tells us show schedule (Sundays 8:00 ET/7:00 Central; Tuesdays 9:00 ET/8:00 Central; and Thursdays 8:00 ET/7:00 Central). And goodbye as we eavesdrop on the houseguests.

Back to Daniele crying in the bathroom saying her Dad is like a mean friend.

Cut!

So what did y'all think? I liked it. biggrin.gif

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Just think. Tomorrow evening we'll all be watching the premiere episode of Big Brother 8! Woohoo!

Of course, I'll have my feeds up well before the show starts and will be waiting with bated breath for the hamsters to appear on the feeds after the show ends. If my memory is correct, it's usually taken around five minutes for them to be turned on.

And what a wonderful moment that is when they flip the switch. The squeal of delight doesn't last very long though because then the realization hits that you have no idea what's going on! Your brain begins concentrating fiercely on the faces, the voices, the hair flips, the muscle-flexings. Who are they hanging around with? What are they talking about? What happened yesterday? Who said what?

All of this concentration while also watching the Big Brother sites across the internet kick into high gear. Blogs, messageboards, forums, chat rooms. Everybody's talking about the first show tonight. What they liked and didn't like. Who they liked and didn't like. Julie Chen's outfit. The house. The twists.

Tomorrow evening will be a very long and enjoyable one. I can't wait! biggrin.gif

Shallow Observations

If you've been a reader of Silly Hamsters in the past, you'll know that I'm not exactly the most 'PC' person around so I've decided I would throw out some some early personal observations and ask you to contribute your own. I mean, this is the eighth season of Big Brother and we all know how the show basically goes by now.

First of all, this whole Dick thing. Let's just get this out of the way. There might be many comparisons made between his name and/or personality and, well, you know. The phallus jokes might get out of hand this season so let's just prepare ourselves and start writing them down now. You never know. You might need them later. i keed. i keed.

That's why before the season actually starts, I wanted to make sure we confronted the issue and dealt with it head on. So please don't be too over-the-top or crude when referring to Dick. Be nice! He could really be a gentle giant and undeserving of our junior high jokes and sneers.

Second, I'm personally hoping there will be quite a few verbal sparring sessions (pretty please BB gods). After last season, I'm ready for somebody to really lose it. Wait. Danielle lost it last season. Well, besides Danielle and the showmance/nomance between Boogie/Erika and Wanelle (typing that just made me puke), I want real drama. I mean, I don't want anybody to get physically hurt but I sure as hell don't want to watch them laying around giving each other endless hairstyling tips. At the very least, they can haul their drunken 'frenemy' into the spinning teacup and make them puke. That grass is hose-safe afterall.

Third, while I pretty much love the decor of the house there's only one thing I'm hoping happens. Did y'all see those pretty purple dishes attached to the kitchen cabinets? Something tells me that they're only attached by glue and that they'll eventually start falling on the hamsters' heads while doing whatever they'll be doing in the kitchen. Please let me catch at least one of them falling on someone's head while watching live on the feeds. They're probably lightweight plastic so they shouldn't hurt anybody too bad. But just seeing that will make me laugh.

Fourth, I hope they get rabbits as pets. I want the rabbits to poop all over the place. And I mean poop. I want the hamsters to bicker amongst themselves concerning who will clean up after them. I want to see rabbit pellets fill that house! *evil snicker*

Fifth, this season we really have no lack of 'pretty' people in the house. Personally, I think Zach and Nick are the cutest guys in the house based upon their pics only. Of the women, I think Carol and Jen are the prettiest. Who do you think are the prettiest this season?

But let it be known, I, HamsterDame, DO NOT want to see a showmance develop. Would I mind watching a drunken hookup? Absolutely not. Just please don't let the hookeruppers develop a 'relationship'. Just say no to showmances.

I Am Twittering

How many of you have heard of Twitter? I'm sure some of you have but most of you probably have not.

From Twitter's own site, "Twitter is for staying in touch and keeping up with friends no matter where you are or what you're doing. For some friends you might want instant mobile updates - for others, you can just check the web. Invite your friends to Twitter and decide how connected you want you to be."

First of all, Twitter is free for everybody to use. You can access my Twitter page here. My latest Twitter messages (aka tweets) will also show up here over in my sidebar (right below the links).

Now you're asking yourself, why in the world would anybody want to do this and what can it be used for in the Big Brother world?

I want to incorporate my tweets along with the Silly Hamsters blog as a way of communicating with you short takes on how I feel about what's going on in the house at the moment, a way to let you know when something is happening or about to happen (POV about to happen, back from HOH comp), and to just have a little Big Brother fun with my readers and fellow Big Brother fans.

I also want to use Twitter on Silly Hamsters to set up a sort of mini Big Brother network with all of you. How might that work? Well if you decide to sign up for a Twitter account, you can twitter about Big Brother as well. If you choose to add me as a friend then you can read your tweets along with mine. I'll then add you to my friends and I'll see your tweets then too! As more of us sign up and tweet about Big Brother concerning whatever, I hope that we can build our own little hamster network. :)

You can receive tweets via IM as well as the web. You can also decide to receive tweets from your friends as text messages on your cell phone, but I don't recommend you doing that unless you have an unlimited text messaging plan. If you go over your texts for a month, don't hit me up for the dough! LOL

Check out the Twitter FAQ and the Twitter help if you need to. Also, just so that it's known, I am in no way affiliated with Twitter other than being a user of their service.

If all of this sounds confusing, the easiest way to understand all of this is to just sign up and test it out for yourself. If you have any questions about Twitter, post in the comments and I'll help you out the best I can.

One warning though: Twitter can be addictive. biggrin.gif

ETA - For a great list of Twitter tools, check this out!
