Quick Note
I've updated the links in my sidebar over there. All of them should reflect current sites but if you find that one is not updated or is just entirely incorrect please let me know.

Meet The New Hamsters!
Over at RealityBBQ, I saw they had the new hamsters posted. Yay!!! Check out the Variety article they linked to as well.
Also from RealityBBQ, there was this clip of this morning's Early Show on CBS where Julie and Alison tell us more about this upcoming season and introduce the hamsters to us. They seem like a pretty good group. Have you seen them yet and if so what are your first impressions of them?
I really need to watch the video a few more times to pick up more of an impression of them but I'm getting uber excited now and can't wait until July 5th. I like the house. I like the hamsters (so far). I like the theme.
I think I'm going to faint.

The 'New' Big Brother 8 House
What do you think of the pics of the decor and design in the Big Brother house?
I actually like it!
One of the things I began to wonder about when looking at the pics was, "I wonder how long those topiaries will last". They'll be dead in no time! LOL
I love the colors. Especially the green! It will be much nicer to look at on the feeds and the show. Oh, and they'll 'play' on that spinning teacup in the backyard for about an hour or so at first. After that, it will probably only be used to induce vomiting on 'party' nights. But that would be fun to watch! Er, not the vomiting but the drunken spinning.
I also love the Big and Little rooms. It would really suck to be in the Little room. And their new bathroom? Niiiice.
I think I need to re-read Alice in Wonderland before the show starts this season. It's been awhile since I've read it and I'd imagine that POVs, HOH, and luxury comps would play into this theme.
Big thumbs up from me to the designers this year. I like it much better than last year.

One More Weekend
You do realize what this weekend is right? Oh come on. Of course you know. It's your last 'free' weekend before Big Brother starts for this year of 2007. And surely you know what that means. Yup. Time to tie up loose ends before we get down to business.
Here's my checklist of things to be done and where I'm at in accomplishing them:
1. Remind family and friends that Big Brother (much to their dismay) is back for another season. Check
2. Inform family and friends not to bother me on show nights - especially Thursday. Check
3. Clean up computer (delete unnecessary files, create new folders for screencaps, update software, etc) and get it Big Brother ready. will be doing this weekend
4. Wash the comforter on my bed that I keep putting off because it's too big and I have to take it to the cleaners. will be doing this weekend
5. Check in with my Big Brother online buddies and other Big Brother sites. in the process of
6. Update Silly Hamsters sidebar, links, and other goodies! will be working on this weekend
7. Write reminder on sticky note to turn off house phone and cell phone ringers on the evening of July 5th. Check
What are you going to have to do? Meals to make ahead? Extra kitty litter to buy? Bribes to pay?

Let Us Introduce Ourselves
After debating on what to post in the last day or so, I've decided I'm not interested in discussing all of the possible twists and turns of this coming season of Big Brother 8 just yet. Why? Because there's so much yack-yacking going around at this time in June about the possibilities and almost none of it is true.
Instead, I would like to take this time to welcome back my readers and those brazen commenters from the previous seasons. Howdy! I've missed y'all. :)

If you've been a reader and have never posted a comment here or if you're a new reader, I hope that you comment for the very first time on SH concerning this post. Consider it a chance to dip your tippy toes in the water so to speak.
I would like everybody reading this post to answer the following questions. If ya don't mind.
But first, before you start and for anybody wondering, I just want to answer the most common question I get when it comes to commenting. Yes, it does ask for you to enter your name and email address when you make a comment. First, I don't want your last name because all I will do is take it out and I'd rather not spend the extra time doing that so please just give me a first name or a screen name. The email address you enter will never be published or sold or spammed by me. You do not have to give me your valid email address but I would really appreciate it if you did. As many of the regulars know, I like to respond personally at times and even provide special somethings on occasion. If you give me a fake email address, I can't respond back to you but it also won't keep your comment from being posted so please keep all of that in mind.
