Noms By Barbie

Well, the nomination ceremony just went down and it's Erika and Boogie with the intent of Boogie going home. Hmmmm.

BTW, I called Janelle Barbie in the post solely because of her bright pink HOH room. I just can't help but think of Barbie because of that color and since she has blonde hair and is gorgeous I couldn't help myself.

Personally, I think if the Sovs really wanted to get rid of CT they should have put both Will and Boogie on the block. But hey, what do I know? I'm just glad that Will's not nominated. LOL

So what do y'all think about those noms? Should she have put up both Boogie & Will? What do you think?

If Erika is saved by the POV will Janey put up the good doctor? What will he do then? He could always walk out before the vote and save the boogie-boy the ordeal of having the votes counted. He keeps saying that he wants to go home - let him prove how sincere he is.

If the SeaSixers don't let someone else be HOH for a change, they run the risk of being hated by everyone else in the house. They could have used this time to bond with the floaters and make new friends but instead they seem to have fallen into the same old power trap we've seen year after year. In the BB house power not only corrupts, it makes you offensive. It's probably too late already.

Now the floaters will find themselves aligned or at least sympathetic to CT - who would have guessed that that could happen?

Just by using / abusing their power, the SeaSixers have made CT much more powerful than they could have done on their own. They were after all just an alliance of 2 that noone else wanted to join up with

Every week that the Sovs keep CT intact is a week closer to their undoing. I like the Sovs but why don't they use their collective brain power when it comes to nominations?

I agree with you HD. If Jani had wanted to be "strategical" she should be voting Booger and Will.

Erika deserves to go soon as she adds nothing to the show and is a coat tail coaster. But I don't think this is the right point in the game.

Having said that all I really care is that they manage to send his boogie butt outta there.

hasta la bye bye boogie man.

Nice to see after all the "wooing" by Will, he was unable to keep Boogie off the block! But he did sweet talk her enough to save himself, hhhhmmm, what a friend he is!

I'm sure the plan is to get rid of Erika, but I truly hope it backfires and Boogie is out the door.

Glad to see that Janie wasn't too overwhelmed by Will's puppet show last night, other than she smitten by Will and it will be her downfall. Too bad.

I think the SeaSixers are doing really well. They just need to keep winning challenges or it will go all downhill! I think Will and Boogers need to really get lost. They really don't need the money so let someone else play the game and win. Will has already won anyway. Get lost! However, Erica has no value she kinda gets on my nerves by not giving an opinion. She just makes meaningless statements and agrees with whoever is talking.

I am SOOO glad she put Boogie up! I hope he goes home, especially after the way he was talking about Janie last week! He's such a fool! Now, I admit that Will can be funny and entertaining BUT it's time for him to go. I do not trust him at all!! I couldn't believe the nonsense he was telling Janelle in the HOH room today. He kept saying bad things about Kaysar. He was trying to put doubt in Janie's head about Kaysar's loyalty to her. I think Will is either intimidated or jealous of Kaysar. Anyway, I don't think she fell for his BS!! I'm still hoping that Kaysar or Janie win!

Looks like Barbie Doll made her own decision.. telling Erica she was just a pawn and they had her covered. Will couldn't coinvince her to put up Danielle and Erica.. James and Howie couldn't convince her to put up Will and Boogie..

Wonder if it will come back and bite her in the butt.
Think she has a thing for Will and doesn't want to see him go..
Plans are to put up CG if Erica or Mike win and use the POV as we all know that could change in the next few minutes..

That's an interesting pair to put on the block. I have been wondering how threatened Janie is by Diane and I guess I have my answer now -- not very. If you follow the way the HG's were "dismissed" from the HOH competition, it's not a surprising choice. Boogie was eliminated first (by Marcellas) and the second time the Sov's got to eliminate someone, they chose Erika. Hmmm, as I said, very interesting.

Posted by: CanFan at July 28, 2006 06:53 PM

Does anyone know how Erika reacted?

From HD - She was unnerved at first but was told that she would be safe.

Posted by: Hustler at July 28, 2006 07:45 PM

Just thought it unusual that the two people with which Janelle was sharing a bubble bath a few days ago are both on the block... Interesting!!

Posted by: Peggy in Buffalo at July 28, 2006 08:05 PM

Well, I was wrong last week and I'll probably be wrong this week, but hopefully the plan is to use the POV to take Erika off the block and back-door Will (providing someone useful wins POV). I think Erika CAN be trouble for S6, but it's a little too soon (besides, I think Kay & Erika are cute together! They act like luv-sick teenagers!) I just can't understand why Will is still there UNLESS, the HGs are convinced that No One will give him a second $500Gs and are hoping to take him to the Final 2 - HHmmmm?

Posted by: jjlvsbb at July 28, 2006 08:05 PM

I think Janelle has a totally different target in mind...Danielle! I think she wants Will, Boogie or herself to win POV, take Boogie off, then backdoor Danielle, knowing that Danielle showed her hand a little too strongly last week and the other HGs will vote her off, knowing she is a much bigger threat than Erika.

If her preferred peeps don't win POV, then she really doesn't care if either Erika or Boogie goes home. But it could be an ideal way to get rid of Danielle, although it is a shady way. Yes, it will make James seriously P**sed Off, and the Sovs would probably lose him, but I think they know he is getting ready to jump ship anyway. And, really, they haven't entirely trusted him from the start.

This could be an extremely interesting week! Do any of you think Janie is gutsy enough (or evil enough, depending on your perspective) to pull this off the way I think she might? Hmmmm...

Posted by: Avalon at July 28, 2006 09:27 PM

I totally agree with Kristen. Do you watch Will's face when he talks to the S6 or when he watches them win the HOH and the Pov comps? Will SO doesn't want to go home.

I'm glad James & Howie didn't convince Janey to put WIll up on the block with Boogie. I can't believe I just said that! The S6 guys never took care of Will whenthey had the chance so why should Janey have to do all the dirty work and put an even bigger target on her back. At least right now some HGs can't decide who is the strongest player of S6 between her and Kaysar. I personally think Janey is a better player but if she is the only one willing to openly be the "assassin" in the game she won't last long. If she makes it to the end she won't get the votes needed to win if she is the only one nominating the stronger HGs.

Last year she made all the tough nominations and came to the forefront of S6 and covered their asses as long s she could. That makes her really feared and disliked this year by the HGs. This time if they want someone on the block they are going to have to make some hard choices and not expect her to do it all.

If she nominated Will and Boogie, Will would definitely remain after Boogie is gone because Boogie is so disliked. Will is the backbone of CT so how worried would the HGs be about Boogie remaining in the game with Will gone? Is Dani going to risk her neck by standing up for Boogie? No Way!

Janey is to smart to have let Will talk her out of putting Boogie on the block especially after the way he has talked about her. By keeping Will off the block right now they may be able to back door him if they get the PoV. Go Janey & Kaysar! Will may know this and he will have to seriously try to win the PoV. I really hope tht Janey isn't heading toward a crush on Will. Yuck! Hopefully Janey learned from her mistakes with Michael last year. Don't let a shomance distract you from the game.

Erika was trying to "bond" with Janey to stay out of the line of fire so she must have been surprised to be on the block. If she believes the S6 have thrown a protective curtain over her this week to save her from eviction it may carry some weight with her over the next couple of weeks if she remains in the game. At least until/if she wins HOH. I double Janey has missed seeing all the time Erika has spent talking to CT, especially with Boogie. By nominating them both she has neutralized Erika's vote to save Boogie because now she has to try keep from going home. By telling Erika she is a "pawn" it keeps the budding "bond" intact and doesn't look like a direct attack. Who knows maybe they can help each other out later.

By putting up Erika and Boogie, Janey has taken divided the votes from CT and the floaters. Will, Boogie, Dani, Erika, CG, and Diane total six HGs but with two of tehm on the block that leaves four. Marcellas is with Janey right now to save his own ass so his vote is added to Kaysar, James, and Howie and that also leaves four votes. Boogie and Erika can't vote so in the event of a tie Janey casts the tie breaker vote. So once again S6 will decide who goes home.

I live in beautiful northern BC, Canada and I can't get live feeds where I am. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains but you have to cross a suspension bridge to get to us so it is imposible to get highspeed internet here. We just got the internet about eight years ago and we are still on dialup if you can believe that. Because of the mountains being in the way of the phone towers we can't even use cell phones where we are so we might as well be in the middle of bloody nowhere. What am I saying...I am in the middle of bloody nowhere. Needless to say I love reading about all the tidbits of info you are posting. Thanks for sharing. Great blog HD. :)

I think Will's whole plan is to get himself & Boogie to the final 2. No one in sequester will ever give Will the money a 2nd time. So, that will leave Boogie to win the prize.
Maybe Janelle wants to take Will to the end for the same reason.

Posted by: bahchy3 at July 29, 2006 12:48 AM

Okay - between the two: Will and Boogie, Boogie is more of a threat to any guest given that I think it would be tough to give the money to the same person AGAIN in the end. That little detail, however, may be overlooked if the other players gain renewed respect for Will. I don't see it yet, however, he is warming up to them.

HD - was that a typo: Mike or Boogie? Or is he a Gemini?

Linda - I agree with Kristin. S6 has had a target on their back since they entered. If they "throw" HOH, instead of making friends they'd either be begging not to be voted out, or turning against each other. Not part of their game plan if you've been following along.

WAKE-UP CALL: When I first saw this on the show last night, I laughed out loud - - I thought it was a great idea. (1) Guests get sleep deprived; (2)In addition to this making their stay uncomfortable, sleep deprived people often say things that they wouldn't otherwise say; (3) Instead of composing the sleep deprivation strategy on their own, CBS let the audience partipate. (4) Though I wasn't sure why anyone would vote for any time other than every 15 minutes, I do like the concept and that the audience got to submit the actual annoying message.

Then - - I read HB's post and she was less than enthusiastic, so I started to have second thoughts about it as well.

Well - - its 12:55 a.m. PST and the houseguests are annoyed already. I can't wait to see how the night progresses and how they do the next day or two after. I like it. HD - have you changed your mind?

Oh - - and anyone know who "Karen from Texas" is?

Posted by: Coleen at July 29, 2006 12:56 AM

HEY CBS WRITIERS: HERE is my recommendation to "shake" things up. Each week - in addition to the eligible houseguests who get to vote who's getting evicted, "America" gets ONE vote. So - - unlike S1, America's vote won't count for the entire enchilada; but . . . it would mean that some of the players might start kissing UP to us instead of always talking us down? I mean really - - - would there even BE a Big Brother if it wasn't for us? Hello? Audience = Advertising Bucks = Show. Janelle has this figured out. James and Will don't. There are shades of gray between - - these are the two extremes.

Another Irony: Erica just stated, "That guy [person who recorded wake-up call] needs to get a life." Hah! He's not the one who has volunteered to live under a microscope, like an infectious cell. Additionally, Erica's sentiment is far from original. It's essentially the most popular comment of the HG following each wake-up call. This last one, however, had been a rhyme. The rhyme probably puzzled Erica. She doesn't seem too thick in the middle.

This competition is geared to favor mothers. Mothers who are used to waking up every 15 minutes to attend to an infant. Been there, done that. We have experience and have developed coping mechanisms so that we can continue at this pace for, oh, about 4+ months! One night? That's just like watching your sister's kids for the night. Tiring, yes, but not insufferable.

So Danielle and maybe CG should gain an advantage (any other parents in the crowd?)as a result. [CG strikes me as the kinda dad who wouldda done that also.] The biggest Prima Donnas will suffer the most: Marci and James.

It's hilarious, actually. What they should really be doing right now is sleeping. They are not. They are talking. It is 10 minutes after the last wake-up call. They might get 5 minutes if they stopped - but even so - - they've now given up 10 additional minutes beyond those of the wake-up call.

Okay - James is already getting delirious. They had the 1:30 wake-up call and he's saying that they are late because there was supposed to be a 1:30 wake-up call and there wasn't. He's already losing touch of time. They had it. I commented on it above. I hadn't even finished commenting on it when he started saying it never happened.

FINAL THOUGHT: If the HG were truly savvy, as soon as the wake-up call would start to play, the HG should all start singing a copyrighted song. Preferably something Disney. Disney is WAY big on enforcement. That way, the audience would lose its ability to hear the message being broadcast in the house!

I am glad that she put up Boogie. Erika I am not so sure about...we will have to see how the Veto goes. Did BB6 discuss this with Erika before they put her up or was this a suprise?

I've been out of town all weekend but truly enjoyed all the recaps! Great Job fellows Hamsterwatchers! Kudos to HD, again, as always, great info and insight!

I think that the WUC's are hilarious! They would drive me bonkers. Any ideas on what the POV contest was?

I think that the noms of Boogie and Erika are splendid! That's exactly who I wanted to see on the block and was shocked, repeat shocked, to see wishy-washy Erika on the block. I truly hope that she goes this week. In some twist of fate, it would be nice to have that happen.

I'm not a big Boogie or CT fan, for that matter, BUT I do like how they keep S6 on their toes.

I love this game, it's getting better and better.

Can't wait to see what today has in store for us
(on tonight's show)!!!

Avalon, good point about Dani. I do think Janey is gutsy enought ot put her on block but the question is, does it fit with her game plan right now? She knows Dani has been gunning for her since week one that's why she put her on the block that week. What did you mean when you said she showed her hand a little to strongly last week? What did I miss?
