Grrrrr-Animals
Well, today's going to be a lazy day on the feeds unless BB gives them some arts and crafts to do or a new game to learn. So while gwawing on a couple of frosted cherry Pop-Tarts this morning, I came up with a little project to help us pass the time today.
Type up a list of the HGs. Beside their name, type down the type of animal they either most resemble or most act like. If you'd like, say why you're comparing the HG with that animal. And that's it. I can't wait to read your responses as I check back in during the day.
And don't fret my pets for tomorrow, I shall be posting some of the best stories that were submitted by y'all on Saturday.
Have a great day all.
Update at 10:30 AM - In case anybody's interested, Howie's episode of 'Blind Date' that he was on will be airing sometime tonight/tomorrow. It was originally taped February 11, 2005. For me, it airs tonight at 12:30 in the morning on UPN. For all of those with Tivo, DVR, etc the description is "A shallow strip-club employee takes his date swimsuit shopping; a guy loves to talk about himself." So check your local listings folks. :)

Janelle: Queen B(ee)- She is noted for her remarks on how the other house guest act, she gets them in line with just like a queen bee would do in a hive, everyone is jealous of her looks, and no one can be up to her standard in that house..or hive.. she has everyone working and they dont even realize it.
Howie: A Pig, That is pretty self explanitory.
Rachel: She is more like the lil monkey in the back of the cage, she doesnt speak much, and when she does..its a show... and everyone see's that she is smarter then the other monkeys
James: besides the fact that he looks like woody from Toy Story, he is kind of like a Ant Eater..he sticks his nose where ever he can..as long as he eats up everyons BRAINS and THOUGHTS
Beau: he is like a cat... too much milk and he walkin around scratching people
Ivette: she looks like a fish...swimming around the house talking alota STUFF she also is a bottom feeder if anything...
April: Mouse- she looks like one and she sure does cut the cheese TOO MUCH
Maggie: she kinda looks like a donkey..or im sure u can remember the other word for donkey. she acts like one too
:-) Good Idea HamsterDame...I had fun. I believe my favorite is my one about april and james :-) Have a good day.

I have just been reading the spoilers and OMG Ivette is mean spirited, she's just been mouthing off F-ing Janelle and her "extensions" how she will rip them out. She goes on and on and on and Maggie sits here and agrees. She was doing it to Rachel too- calling her a wh%re and b**ch. Such mean people. Wish BB would show how nasty Ivette, Beau and April REALLY ARE on the show. Maggie just listens. doesn't make her any better- she needs to tell them to shut up. She, at least, has played the game with some dignity! I'd like to see her and James in the end! Of course, her "F" group would vote for her. F is for friendship, right? Sure it's not another word that they all have been using alot to bash Janelle and Rachel?

Howie: A hyena - nasty and humorless - picking off the bones of others but quick as a fox
Rachel: A horse - loyal and friendly but mean and aggressive when needs to be or provoked
Janelle: A tick - sucks the life out of those around her and is good for nothing else besides spreading disease
James: A rat - resourceful and disgusting but humorous to watch as they scurry for safety
Maggie: A fox - sly, quick and always on the hunt, sits back and observes and strikes when necessary to survive.
Ivette: A dog - loyal to a fault, always remembering never to bite the hand that feeds her but also defending, unecessarily sometimes, her territory.
Beau: A mockingbird - sings a beautiful tune w/ others but can't carry his own tune.
April: A cricket - you can't ever find them and they won't ever shut up! (she's always sneaking & hiding to gossip and SHE NEVER SHUTS UP)
This was fun and thought provoking HamsterDame! Thanks for the challenge!

April-Coyote, Always looking to stir something up so she can take the fresh meat?then cries at night
Beau-Ferret, Small and sneaky, always seems quit. Step on his tail and her him squeal!
Howie-Orangutan, Always keeping his chest out swinging his arms.
Ivette-Lemming, do I need to explain
James-Hyena, Staying in the Dark, laughing at all around. Waiting to steal another animals spoils.
Janelle-Elephant, Larger than life, Excellent memory, Looks big and dumb. Have you ever seen the damage an elephant can do once it?s in a stampede!
Maggie-Flamingo, Always standing for what she thinks is right. Her head is so big she will stand on one foot. The color of her and her world is different than her surroundings.
Rachel-Hippo, Big and Strong, stays cool under the water.
Posted by: ZooKeeper1 at August 23, 2005 07:44 AM
Wow - I had to do some serious thinking on this one but it was great fun.
April - a jackass obviously. Stubborn, obnoxious, and braying constantly about nothing. Not a standout in the looks or hygiene departments.
Beau - a sloth (if sloths were flaming gay). Slow, not really smart, and almost never seen.
Rachel - a mother hen. Protective of her brood, but a little uptight. Smart but also gentle and gracious when needed.
Ivette - a snake. Very smart and very devious. Known for viciously attacking anything within striking distance without provocation.
Howie - a gorilla. Human-like, not too bright, but so funny that you can't help watching just to see what he's gonna do next.
Janelle - a cat. Beautiful, languorous, and not willing to take crap from anybody. Watches her prey very closely so that she can strike when it will be the most effective.
Maggie - a rat. Sneaky, paranoid, and mean-spirited. Doesn?t join the fight for either side but loves to watch as those around her pick the bones of others.
James - a chameleon (duh). He has no color of his own he just reflects whoever he's standing next to at the time.

HOWIE-"WOOD" = Reminds me of a Gorilla, the way he walks around with his chest pushed out all the time.
RACHEL "MAN-CHEL" = Reminds me of a Lemur. Her eyes are too close together. You don't know where she's really coming from.
APRIL "APE" = Reminds me of a Chihuahua. Always barking; doesn't know when to shut up. Annoying! You just want to kick her!!
JAMES "DOES GAMES" = Reminds me of a snake because he has slithered his way thru the entire game.
IVETTE "EVIL-ETTE"= Reminds me of a Fruit Bat who feeds on the ripest/sweetest fruit available. She is smart though.....
BEAU "DACIOUS" = Reminds me of a little Parakeet sitting in its cage just watching everything around him happen and enjoying every minute.
MAGGIE "RAG-MAGS" = Reminds me of a St. Bernard. Aways working, dependable and reliable.
JANELLE "FAKY-JANEY" = Reminds me of a frog, who is now a pretty little Princess, but in reality, still an a frog inside. She's slimy and ugly (inside-where it counts).
Posted by: Elsy at August 23, 2005 09:19 AM
Howie; Peacock - struts around all proud and showing off
Rachel; Mama Cat - smart and well groomed, trying to teach her cub to hunt and take care of himself(howie) but he keeps goofing up so she has to discipline him.
Ivette; Any dog that won't stop barking! She just keeps barking and barking (opinionated complaining) but is loyal to her pack (the friendship and Eric).
Janelle; Mosquito - just buzzes around annoying everyone around her for the sake of doing it, doesn't serve any real purpose except to make her feel good.
April; Seagull - funny looking bird, nothing too look at, all it is good for is pooping on your head (gossiping) and please please stop all that squacking!!
Beau; Lemming - just follows the crowd, even if it is to his own distruction.
Maggie; Border Collie - rounds up the herd to a focused place (decision), but doesn't think on her own, must be instructed by the Master (Eric)
James; Racoon - clever and smart, able to survive, but most people think they are no-good-pests.
Posted by: Kelly at August 23, 2005 09:38 AM
Howie- gorilla, could live in a tree too as long as he had a mate nearby
Rachel- any animal that's retarded and scared.
Janelle- a happy Irish Setter that's beautiful, free spirited, fun and loyal.
Ivette- a south florida palmetto bug (cockroach), scarey, in filthy and dirty places, ugh.
Ape- a leech, sucks the blood out of you until you can't take it anymore and you just want to scream or a mite, you can't get rid of them unless you buy a new one (mattress or wife whichever).
James- definitely a chameleon or an animal that slowly stalks, watches and observes quietly. Mmmmmm can't figure that one.
Beau- 1/2 stupid lost poodle and 1/2 abused, mean and neglected chihuahua.
But none of the HG's are trashy as the demons and leeches in room **. Blah, Bleh, Blih, Bloh. I cringe to just think of what womb those animals come from.
***** Note from HamsterDame - No shoutouts!

Rach, mother goose need I name her?
Janey, a beautiful butterfly, free and much loved her name could be precious

Is anyone else sick of the people in the house being people who have agents and/or have other shows or projects? Does anyone else want real people, instead of these fakes trying to get air time to promote their "careers"? Do you think CBS would let any of us "live in the house"? The last two years there hasn't been an "older" person in the house, either. I'm not in the 18-34 age group that CBS thinks is BB's demographic. Many "older" people watch the show and liked it when there were old people on!
Posted by: ddeb at August 23, 2005 12:38 PM
You mean what animals are they like, besides hamsters, right HamsterDame? :-) Well, here's what I came up with:
Janelle - Angelfish: Beautiful but deadly
Howie - Gorilla: Can be vicious when threatened, but mostly concerned with beating his chest to attract a mate
Rachel - Horse: Strong, quiet, and pretty
James - Chameleon: Has gotten good at changing his "colors" to adapt to his surroundings
Maggie - Ant: More concerned with the good of the colony than herself; Relies on strength in numbers as the source of her power
April - Weasel: Always sneaking around where she doesn't belong, stirring up trouble
Ivette - Chihuahua: Barks and yips annoyingly a lot from a safe distance thinking she's pretty bad, but too chicken to actually confront the big dogs; plus, she's a b**ch
Beau - Parrot: Talks a lot, but incapable of an original thought-he just repeats what he's heard from others
Posted by: Lauren K at August 23, 2005 12:51 PM
I still can not beleive that the "Friendship" thinks they have never been mean, dirty, poor sportman like or dishonest. They still think that they are defending themselves from "evil" and did not attack first.
Loosers in life, Loosers on the Show...
Posted by: ZooKeeper1 at August 23, 2005 01:09 PM
I, myself, Would love to see older people in the house. And would be happy to see normal people, even 100 pounds over weight.
Posted by: ZooKeeper1 at August 23, 2005 01:17 PM
I have to defend myself one more time...even Marcellas was talking on today about Janelle's extensions and how everyone knows that she has them!! (because April is wanting them now)
I'll drop it now:)
I totally agree that CBS needs to drop the whole "agent" thing and get real people, like in season 1. I've been trying for years to get on there but I guess because 1) I'm not pencil thin 2) I have no agent or 3) I'm not in the 18-30 age bracket I'm not considered a REAL PERSON?
Whatever...I even had my sister-in-law that's 20 send in an audition tape this year...but she doesn't have an agent...so I guess that's why nothing happened.
I really think our voices need to be heard about the HG's not being truly "not acting or fame seekers". I miss having the different ages...ranging from 18 to 50+....that's what makes the house more diverse and colorful and not just a bunch of drunken baffoons:)
There can still be drama w/out all of them in the same age brackets...There can still be physically challenging games for all age brackets....It will still be a game of experience, manipulation and strategy.
Regardless of this ever happening or not, I'll still watch the show because I just can't stop!!!!
Posted by: Kyla at August 23, 2005 01:27 PM
Howie-A big ape. Or a male peacock strutting around.
Rachel-A horse. She has the biggest mouth, size wise, I've ever seen on a woman.
Jannelle-A German shepherd. Loyal, smart, beautiful and can attack if she needs too.
Maggie-A fox. Very sneaky
Ivette-A weasel. Need I say more?
April-A rabbit. Appears for a while and then runs away when cornered.
James-A Rat. Not to be trusted
Beau-A butterfly. Always fluttering around
Posted by: Renee at August 23, 2005 01:48 PM
Animals are personality based.
April- Fox. Smart, cunning. Almost a loner in the game.
Maggie- Grizzly Bear. Smart and Powerful. Protective over cubs(The Friendship) would go to great lengths to protect them.
Beau- Clown fish. Colorful and safe among friends(anemone)
Rachel- Leopard. Sly, on the prowl, powerful.
Ivette- Bull. Gets mad easily. Not particularly smart.
Howie- Howler Monkey. Loud and always looking for a mate.
James- Anaconda. Wraps around its enemy(every HG) and crushes it
Janelle- Poodle. Prissy and Primped
Posted by: Russ at August 23, 2005 02:21 PM
I agree totally with you Kyla! I can't stop watching it but I have been emailing CBS and telling how disappointed I've been in the show this year- very predictable!
I would like to see "REAL PEOPLE" too next season. I mean come on, everybody has that beautiful face plus perfect teeth? I don't see very much flab on them except for Howie- just a little tire, lol.
Well, hopefully, the brass at CBS will see that we are disappointed, also that it really seems to me that the shows seem scripted!!
I do know this--- they are all being paid $ 750.00 a week for this "GAME!"
Later guys!

I have been thinking about this for a while and have decided to make them all birds.
Jannel=Peacock, I know, the peacock is a male bird but otherwise it fits perfectly, beautiful to look at, vain, and mean. Also totaly useless.
Maggie= an Owl, wise, silent and deliberate. Bides her time and thinks before striking her prey. Has a 360 degree perspective.
Ivette= a Blue Jay, always jabbering before thinking. Annoying and very territorial.
Howie= a Pidgeon, strutting around with his chest puffed out, leaving his droppings everywhere without a thougt, and pestering everyone.
Rachael= a redtailed hawk, deliberate and focused on her prey. can be vicious.
April= a Chicken in the barnyard, running aroung squawking at everyone, and waiting for Sunday dinner to dumb to know she's Sunday dinner.
Beau= a Pink Flamingo, totally useless, always posing. With only one leg to stand on.
James=a Myna bird, very intelligent and always ready to say whatever anyone wants to here. And they believe him!!
I think Kyla gave the best descriptions, and the most accurate.
Bye bye
Lynn from Las Vegas

Lynn--your descriptionof HGs is wonderful. Kyla- Janie, she herself said she had extentions. If you don't want people to know it "KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT"

Uh, who CARES if she has hair extensions? April has fake boobies...so what? There are millions of people out there with hair extensions. Do you walk past somebody on the street and yell "OH, YOU HAVE HAIR EXTENSIONS!" Who cares? Jessica Simpson has worn hair extensions. Halle Berry has worn hair extensions.
Who...
Cares?

Posted by: Donna at August 24, 2005 08:17 AM
Ivette: A poisonous snake!--She spits and spews venom at almost everyone in the house (or at least behind their backs) and then poisons others into following along. Shes not anyone you would be in a room with more than 5 mins and not realize it's safer to stay completely out of their striking range.
Rachel: Mother Lion--She walks around beautifully and quietly fully aware that the "Hyenas" who cackle and make fun of her would be shocked to know that she could rip them to shreds with one swipe of her claws. For the most part shes quiet, watching over her children (howie and janie), offering advice and someone to talk to. Occasionally she has to smack the Howie Cub down and put him back in his place.
Howie: Someone earlier said a Pig and i agree to a certain extent. Pigs, we all know can be very dirty. However, pigs can at times be cute. They can also be very friendly and are also loyal to their owners(RayRay). And while your first thought might be "dirty" when you think of a pig, keep in mind theyre a whole lot smarter than they look!
Beau: A Flea!--I know this isnt an animal but fleas are annoying and pointless and so is Beau.
April: A hen--She pick, pick, picks at everything all day long. Pointless cackling also occurs anytime April is around and it's so BEYOND annoying!
Maggie: A hippo--NOT because I think she's fat in the least but because they look friendly, seem quiet, munching away or laying around in the water but they are one of the deadliest, meanest animals known to man.
James: A dog---Most dogs seem harmless enough when you see them. Some dogs will bare their teeth when you first meet them. This is the dogs way of saying "I can and will hurt you at some point". The dog may be friendly, the dog may be cute. The dog is very smart. Keep in mind though that if he bites you...he already told you he was going to at the beginning of the relationship. Dont bother to complain about it. He knows what hes doing and knows how to get what he wants.
Janelle: Peacock--Now I know that the "pretty" peacocks are male but they remind me of her. She is beautiful, graceful. People marvel at her when she walks into a room. She knows how to get attention and use it to her advantage. Peacocks can also bite you so hard and fast you have no idea what hit you.
One more description. I know this is an evicted hg but: Kaysar: Lion--King of the beasts. Beautiful, strong, confident, wise, a leader. Like any animal though, can fall victim to even the most innocent looking predator(wonder who that would be?). Perhaps even a mosquito. Small, insignificant, easily killed but if infected with a deadly disease, able to take you out and you dont even know how it happened.
Posted by: Amy at August 24, 2005 02:25 PM
Janelle knows when to talk, when to act dumb, when to smarten up. She knows just what "barb" to throw in to make people feel just uncomfortable enough and when to go on to another "dumb blonde" subject. (perfect example of this: a few days ago when she was screaming "im the luckiest girl in the world" 'cause shes still there after the table was made smaller. She said she couldnt believe she didnt get kicked out the first week........and then in all the hoopla of them having "made it" she threw out "and wowwwwwww, theres only 2 couple left, how weird is that??"----people stopped, ivette desperately tried to find something to say...janelle let it linger just long enough and then went on to some story about money) She always watches around her. She totally knows whats going on and when provoked, she keeps her mouth shut UNTIL it can no longer be ignored (usually by that point alcohol is also involved..lol). Things she says may come across as rude but they're all true. She can call people on their crap when needed. Ive said this many time: For as fake as she is, shes one of the most real people Ive ever seen on a show.

Hello Hamsterdame I like the idea of comparing the HGs to animals Im going to use dogs. Please dont take offense if I mention a specific breed in a non -flattering manner because I agree that all dogs are lovable to their owners. HOWIE-reminds me of a great big handsome St.Bernard.Friendly,lovable and loyal. His normally great disposition is only disturbed when his friends are threatened. In this case he may get upset but his bark is definitely worse than his bite. Also has an .annoying habit of humping everyone and everything in sight.Might need to be Fixed. RACHEL is a gorgeous chestnut Irish Setter. She is in good shape physically and makes a loyal friend and lifelong companion. APRIL is a yappy little terrier.Although you might think she likes you, she doesnt. She wont bite you but she is sneaky enough to pi-- in your favorite slippers when you arent looking. Her cacaphonious whining in the bathroom is enough to drive anyone crazy. If I had my way she would be muzzled!MAGGIE-She is just an old farmdog probably a Sheep DOG /Border Collie cross. Not much to look at.Nor does she have a very dynamic personality. However she knows her job is to keep those sheep together and she does it well.BEAU is a French Poodle groomed to perfection. He would love to make it to the show ring so he could be seen by millions but he doesnt take any initiative. He doesnt bark, bite ,chew things, hump things or even pi-- in your slipers but sometimes even his owners forget he is there!JAMES-is a German Shepherd/Wolf cross which makes him a formidable foe.Having recently been separated from his mate he is very focused on the task at hand,He has managed to avoid capture by the local dog catcher a record number of times(not to mention the stress he has put on Maggie the poor old sheepdog)IVETTE -Is a cross between a chihuahua and a pit bull(puppy mill variety)Yes that makes her the most ill tempered Bitch in the house. What is wrong with her ?I would have called her a doberman but they are beautiful inteligent and gentle. She does seem to be a one man(or woman) variety and it seems everyone else is perceived as a threat. She takes an immediate dislike to anyone prettier, smarter or in better shape than her.Which is why she doesnt Janelle,Kaysar or Rachel. She is such a hater.ALL she does is bark growl and dream of sinking her teeth(fangs) into her opponents. She acts as though she has rabies Maybe she should see the vet! This brings me to JANELLE.Ah JANELLE!She is a rare gem,a beautiful pampered, purebred show dog.I see her as a very highly pedigeed Saluki or perhaps a Borzoi. Both breeds are of European origin. With long silky blonde hair this is a gorgeous showstopping dog.She is admired for her beauty, intelligence and for her charm.Loves to strut her stuff in the show ring because she knows that she is already a winner!P,S.She is not afraid to give you a litle nip if you go after any of her friends and thats why she is my favorite now that the KING is gone.GO JANEY!!
Posted by: alrak at August 26, 2005 10:38 PM
Promises,Promises I just heard Ivette promise that she is going to keep her mouth shut from now on.She is going to stop commenting on people and not let any one get under her skin.Too good to be true she is already at it in the very next sentence. They cant believe Americas Choice was legit and they think BB is editting in her favour because she is typecast as the blonde bombshell. When they get out and read the bad press they are getting they will cry on each others shoulders and blame it on the edittingWhat are they going to say about the live feed??
